When I was 6 months pregnant and planning for childcare, I looked into this school. The woman who met with me told me very little she wouldn t or couldn t tell me very basic information like prices or waitlist times. She was short with me, explaining that the person who usually conducts these meetings was gone. This woman didn t even TRY to encourage me to apply or choose this particular daycare center. She then told me they have a no-gun policy which I d need to sign and have notarized before she could give me a tour, so I wasn t shown or told anything about the center. In addition to the short responses, this seemed like another attempt to deter me from applying (I d actually already been inside before due to being an emergency contact of an enrolled child). The experience was very disappointing; it ultimatey it seemed like she was discriminating based on my appearance (possibly being a younger parent, how I was dressed, etc). Still, desperate for childcare I applied and included the non-refundable application fee. To this day, over a year later, I have never heard back from them. I ended up taking my son to Kingdom Kids in Manhattan, who were much more kind and just had their daycare center beautifully renovated.
