On the first Sunday of the month there was a free entrance and we took a mini walk to the archaeological site. We want to come back soon

So excited to hear that Berkeley is involved with the excavations. We were in awe of the ruins and delighted to hear of the history. Tje terrain was easily walkable and restrooms were nearby. Staff was courteous. Our tour guide amazing!!

This site was beautiful and it took over hundred years for archeologists to uncover so many ruins within area.

It is the archaeological site of the whole Peloponnese that has most disappointed us.

With an entry for 12 euros, only offers you the entrance to the site which only highlights the door of the Lions and Tombs.

It is ancient history and if you have already scheduled the trip to go, enter.
But if, on the contrary, you have to plan your trip, I recommend that you look for an alternative, because to us, we were very disappointed.

The place I will remember most about my visit to Greece. We arrived shortly before they closed, in the afternoon near sunset, and there were hardly any people. The visit was almost exclusive to us. Where the temple resided, in its center, grew an olive tree, which appropriate. The cyclopean walls and the famous lion gate in all its magnificence. If you like history, this place is almost mandatory.

Be aware that it closes at 3.00pm during the winter season to avoid any inconvenience

Many of you miss the museum but is the first one must visit to understand the site.

It's strange to be in the place and see for yourself things that are like images in history books. For those who have passion in the study of this subject, it's about touching almost the origins of everything. Touching those stones makes you feel part of a universe that has been handed down to the present day.

These ruins are awesome! Definitely get your sweet shots with your legs over the edge. Or you act like it's Sparta...I mean, it was under Spartan control after the Mycenaeans.

Our history, a place you should definitely visit. The ticket price however I think should be made more feasible.

the door of the lions and the tomb "of Agamemnon" together with the rest of the findings contained in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens constitute a very precious testimony for the history of Greekness and therefore of the whole West. every European citizen should see it.

Great large important historical site, but go early to miss the annoying tourist groups just wanting to take selfies

Impressive ancient site. Due to the location on the summit, a visit is recommended early in the morning or late in the evening in summer. In the village itself there are enough hotels and restaurants with mostly reasonable cuisine. Place has a decent infrastructure.

A place that is historic, but which unfortunately due to a very hot and steamy day I was not able to see as it deserves

A page of universal history that feels as you pass through the Lions Gate. I recommend not to go after Google Maps to get to the location but after the signs in the locality and mandatory to visit the objective from top to bottom. Climb on a path after the entrance through the left next to the museum and toilets up, and from there descend through the fortress permanently giving you an overview of the fortress from top to bottom, until you pass under the Lion Gate. Otherwise, you will always be behind your fortress uphill.

One of the finest remains of ancient Greece, located in the harsh landscape of the Peloponnese. Makes a huge impression! You can spend a few hours looking into very different nooks and crannies. One of the favorite travel destinations of nineteenth-century romantics, known to Poles from the poem by S owacki, "The Tomb of Agamemnon."

After seeing other "More complete" monuments, pass me the term, you must visit this site with a guide that explains what you can't see anymore but it is absolutely interesting ..... Beautiful and important .... Do not forget the tomb of the Lion and the tomb of Atreio

The archaeological site is beautiful and dazzling. The museum is 100 meters before the archaeological site in a small parked car park. Be careful not to put gps in search of a museum of fungi as it will take you to the other side of the village where the stanas and the ferns are ...

Great vibes in the air throughout the sites. Agamemnon's grave is gigantically spectacular.

This is definitely one of the must see places in the world open your mind and try to imagine how life was it's one of the places in our vast world where you can still go to see and touch things from a time that most have long forgotten or in many cases never knew about in the first place

After passing the mythical gate of the lions, go up to the Royal Palace and looking towards the Argo fortress you can see the fires that announce the return of Agammemnon ..... here you walk in the myth

The throne room of Agamemnon, the tomb of Atreus, the Cyclopean walls, the door of the lions ... It's the third time I've come here, and the emotion is still there, intact.

Very cool historic place. It began with the Trojan War over the abduction of Helen the Beautiful. There is a magnificent archeological museum here. There are always many tourists

Great archeological site. Remember to survey the entire site to not miss anything. Visit to do rather early or late afternoon to avoid high temperatures (little shade).
