Great historical settlement for this and is considered a World Heritage Site! Great location and maintained in excellent condition.

i loved it, there food was amazing and the views of the mainpand was stunning. i love the rich culture and all of the different places and ruins. i would definately go again, 5 stars!!!

Do not forget to choose for your visit a day that does not have a holiday ... Everything is closed !!!

At the end of August in the year of the corona virus, everything was open, deserted, only the cistern was closed.

It is one of the sights that every one of us should visit ... with magnificent Mycenaean finds, the Tombs and the Lion's Gate dominating to this day with greatness !!!!!!!!

Very nice scenery to look at. It has a museum as well with lots of pots dug up from sites.

Greece is a beautiful place it stays in your heart and then it costs very little you eat well and see things from two thousand years ago to visit

Site of significant historical importance. Too bad there isn't much left of the magnificence of the city state. Impressive entering the door of the lions that gave access to the citadel. For the rest ruins of boulders ... to use the imagination or memories of high school. Free and convenient parking. Admission 12 euros.

One of the most important archeological places in Greece with great history and with the most amazing museum with so many greatest and beautiful archeological objects. Impressive view of the fields and panorama around you, with the monumental graves and gates on your way of exploring. The tickets of the museum are valid for three places, archeological place of Mycenae, for the museum and for the another archeological place 500meters down on road named Tomb of Agamemnon, king that lived in Mycenae and from him was stolen beautiful Helen and taken in Troia.

Second time here and always such pleasure. The oldest community/civilization's settlements you can find in Europe.

Great experience, it is really worth to come and climb on the hill through the ancient ruins to admire beautiful views. At the places like this, it was easier for me to imagine how life of Greeks was looking thousands years ago than for example in Athens. Recommended to come early in the morning, especially at summer, when there s no crowds.

Too expensive a map compared to what has to be seen, especially compared to other places in Greece and beyond.

Great city, well preserved. While walking, you can imagine what it might have looked like when it was teeming with life. The legendary Lions Gate is really impressive.

Didn't like it much. I found Ephesus and Pompeij much nicer. Views are beautiful.

Pure history, great place. The entrance fee of 12 euros per person is steep, but it's still worth it. The view from the mountain into the valley is phenomenal.

Extremely badly organized. Buses block the entire parking. The cars then park in double file on the road and suddenly no one can cross on this small road. In short, inaccessible. I did not go there in full season. The Organization is very disappointing

An essential archaeological site in a visit to Greece.

Even if you've read about Mycenae and Mycenaean culture, a visit to the place will leave you with your mouth open. The museum is very modern and informative with great exhibits.

Very historical and very beautiful ... But without a guide and if you do not speak English or Greek you will not have the history of this place .. The lionesses have no heads because not possible architecturally speaking ..

Sometimes we can find places where history has begun. This is the big one. One of place where history of Europe was started. Absolutely amazing city, exactly, the memory about of city.

Amazing! Great monuments. You don't have to go to the Peloponnese and not visit Mycenae. Necessary stop in the tomb of Agamemnon.

I enjoyed this visit! Make sure you have sunscreen, hat or umbrella for this visit. Also, make sure you bring water.

Location and view impressive. Unfortunately, the ruins themselves are disappointing, I think it is too expensive ( 12, - p.p.) and the parking lot is a disaster. Way too busy and buses everywhere. Museum and treasury are definitely worth a visit.
Given the history I wanted to have been here, so no regrets. But you don't have to go here just for the ruins.

Interesting place. Unfortunately there is no tour at the moment. Great dome buildings. Interesting cistern. Huge walls. Prehistoric prefabricated buildings.

A must see for someone interested in ancient culture. The ruins are in good shape - you can imagine how people lived in this place. It is worth to get a guide out here.

Our ancient history in all its grandeur. With our excellent tour guide we felt like we were living in the Mycenaean period.

On this magical hill rises Mycenae! Visited in full August at 3 pm, very hot but very windy, for which the excursion was very pleasant. Congratulations to those who manage the site, kept and impeccably organized

Very large site, we manage to be in time. Many explanations. Museum nice and clear. And magnificent views of the region.

Impressive. You can actually get some ideas here, which was possible about 3000 years ago and how the resort looked like. A must if you are in the area.

There's also a canteen on the parking lot before you enter and toilets before the museum.

If you get there before all the tourist buses, it is a serene experience. There is enough information around the site to understand what it is you see. Don't forget to see the museum as well

A place with a rich local history. From the beginning of European history. The site is well made, with architectural surprises, not mentioned in the area.

The minimum time (if you are really staring) needed for the tour is 60 minutes (tested :)) and in terms of historical significance ...
