ER staff are very rude. When I asked for a blood pregnancy test their response was, why? . Then proceed to deny me admittance for the test. The man was loud and not empathetic at all. The waiting room was full. When you call for information they don t say a word and transfer your call to an automated system.

Granted the old ER building was horrible and I hated going to the ER here, however this passed week I went in because I wasn't able to urinate. I went around 1 am and they got me in right away and did blood work, bladder scan and ultrasound. The new ER has been so much better, the nurses and doctors even are better. I didn't have any army doctors so I wouldn't know regarding that, but I noticed the later you come and the slower they are they are much better. There new facility has gotten a lot better, give it a chance. They discharged me and gave me pain meds and made sure I was okay to leave. I'm seeing my urologist and Gyno in the morning.

administration needs help, care is ok just ok, newer hospital does not mean better care. Darnall is now overwhelmed assuming more patients from Tricare, resulted in so many delays for a simple referral. I'm switching like many others to standard.

People fail to realize that you are seen in the ER based off of your situation. A guy in a car accident in critical condition will be seen before the kid with a broken arm.

With that being said Darnall could use some work. The doctors and many of the nurses are great but the rest of the personell walk around with a chip on their shoulder. Especially the ladies on the appointment line....someone give them some Prozac pleaaaase.

I want to thank all the wonderful staff

I want to thank all the wonderful staff

This was my first experience with the new hospital and I have nothing but praise and appreciation for the entire stay at CRDAMC.

I went to the ER due to numbness, tingling of my face and a weird headache.. from the Triage nurse forwarded, I was treated with professional and care. I was given CAT scan, MRI, KEG, and other tests to determine what was happening with me...

I m so grateful for the professional treatment and warm bedside manners I received from staff, and for the comfortable upscale accommodation!.

I believe CRDAMC is providing soldiers and family members with skilled, dedicated, individuals commited to fulfilling the mission promised....

Really bad customer service and patient care, front desk personal unprofessional, using electronics joking around while people waiting to get their assistance, then nurses rude every time i go to ER. I understand that we are soldiers that doesn t mean we have to get treated like garbage everytime we go to get medical assistance, doctors that don t know what the hell is going on with you and just assume what might be or unknown the reason when you get discharged, every time even though there s not a lot of patients still have to wait over 2-3hrs just wait to finally get not 100% results.. i think off post hospitals take care much better that DOD hospitals, cant imagine how VA hospitals are...

My family has had experiences at Darnall since 1967 and we have seen the many challenges and transitions. CRDarnall today is a vast improvement.
One must be "ones" own advocate and putting the pen to paper when issues arise instead of engaging rude behavior is an answer. Likewise our attitudes should reflect respect . Medical services are not always perfect, if one finds one it will no longer be perfect.

Today was supposed to be a happy day, after waiting around until my 10th week of pregnancy I FINALLY get to have an ultrasound. When they finally try it, it was on some ancient looking block laptop with a barely visible picture of my little peanut. Lady takes a picture and tries to print it off. It didn t work and she s like looks like the printer s out and leaves with her cart carrying the ultrasound laptop quick as hell. Just like that. It went so fast and they seemed rushed like they didn t care about me at all. They were just trying to meet their timelines. I didn t even get a good view of my baby because I had to lay flat on my back... with my other pregnancy at a different hospital, I got to see my baby at 5 weeks on an ultrasound with a good picture, they printed 4 pictures for me to keep and they didn t try to rush me out. I m so disappointed with the care I received at this place. Now I don t even want to deliver my baby here.

Let me tell you something about labor and delivery here. I love them!!! My baby got stuck and when I say they acted as though she was their baby they all came together and showed up for my family! She didn't breathe for the 1st 4 minutes of her life but when she did she was perfectly healthy and I was extremely grateful for each person there. They are amazing!! Jan 4 my baby will be 2 years old I am still grateful that they refuse to give up . I give them 5 stars easily

I always have a Bad ER experience here no matter if I go for myself or my children. Went last night and waited 2 hours for a room to become available another Hour and 30 minutes to be seen by the doctor & then they sent another doctor in 30 minutes after that and he said okay I ll be right back with your meds get to the pharmacy & I could have gotten cough drops for my throat myself. Something is wrong with my throat but I am goin to another ER this morning. Moral of the story I waited 5 hours to really just receive nothing at all to help my pain for my throat nothing but cough drops.

I'm a patient here right now my surgeon came into my room said " we can't help you. You need to go see a specialist at Scott and white in temple. So we're going to discharge you and you can go there as a outpatient. And so we can discharge you were going to change your pain meds and how often you get them. So you can get discharged."

I have been laying in my hospital bed sobbing for almost 3 hours STRAIGHT. and no one cares. Do not come here unless you want to be told we can't help you, but we're not going to transfer you to where you can get help and were going to refuse to treat your pain.

Husband was puking up blood, they waited 9 hours to get him back and don t even give him antibiotics when he had a 104 degree fever. Discharged him with a prescription to Tylenol. I have a lymphoma on my rib and level 5 lymphadenopathy and the original imaging said I had nothing wrong with me. Wasn t diagnosed until referred off post for CT scan. Wouldn t take my records from previous surgeon and made me go through two rounds of radiation for the same diagnosis. They never pick up their phones, and 90% of the staff is rude. You can tell most of these people haven t had proper medical training because their diagnosis is always Tylenol and ibuprofen.

I would leave a 0 star if I could. Wasted three hours in this place because our "appointment" was not an actual appointment. Got routed through three stations in the hospital to finally end up in Triage, for a routine Pre-Op. I would sooner pay out the copays for tricare standard than ever have another child here and this understaffed, uneducated, and unprofessional sham of a hospital. Oh and last month they let my wife's lab draw expire before sending it to be evaluated by a third party.

They are pretty good!!! My delivery here was hectic, but that s not at fault of the staff or hospital. They were so supportive and helpful. They left me and my baby alone for the first 24 hours besides check ins and vitals. When we came to the er TWICE in a week (first time mom everything scares me) we ve been seen within 2 hours. I ve heard horrible things about this place but have never actually experienced them first hand. Very good hospital in my opinion!

I wish I could give no stars, the ER is ridiculous!! I would encourage anyone who goes there to fill out an ice complaint and your survey they send in the mail. Start writing down names as soon as you go in there to put in the ice complaint and surveys. A lot of people don't do this wich is why these people are getting away with treating others like $hit!

Worst hospital I ve ever seen in the Army. Wife went there to be checked for a threatened miscarriage of our child.
Took blood work, doctor never came back, my wife just left without an answer. I would not expect this place to piss on me, we re I on fire and in desperate need of assistance. And this isn t the first time I ve dealt with this disaster of a hospital. Please, for the love of god people, stay away, they are more likely to get you or a loved one killed over their negligence.

Well how about we start with the fact the you can't call the hospital based off the number provided through this website. Now let's address the more important issue. My fiance, who is a dod dependent, collapsed because she lost all felling in both her arms and legs and her face went completely numb last night. I had to carry her out the house and put her in a vehicle because she could not move. An your hospitals diagnose's without running one single test whatsoever is muscle spasms. I don't think so people. We are about to have a major issue. An if I don't get answers from somebody as to why they thought they were going to get away with that garbage with me, then I guess the President of the United States of America needs to know about the medical malpractice going on at one of his Army Installation's.

I hate getting my medications anywhere on fort Hood because it takes so long but I had my first baby here and it was a nice new hospital with pleasant rooms. The staff was nice. One thing of concern was when I had sent issues with my calcium levels and labor and delivery didn't handle it well. I've had these particular issues multiple times so I asked them to check my levels for magnesium, potassium etc. Because when your calcium is off it can throw off all these other important things, well the doctor said she couldn't check those because she wouldn't know what to do even if they were off. Also all my doctor's didn't seem to know how to manage my lack of thyroid - at least where all my drugs are concerned and I later found out some of what I was taking can be dangerous when you're pregnant. My baby is healthy though so I'm grateful.

I came to the ER to bring my two young kids. Their brother has strep. After filling out paperwork and waiting for 10 months we were seen. The doctor that seen us was very helpful and listened to my concerns. The nurse was amazing with my kids. I didn't give them 5 stars because it was our first time here and we really weren't told what we were doing to be doing here. The hospital is huge figuring out where to go takes patience. Doing this with two small kids can be troublesome.

If you are in need to go to a Urgent Clinic please do so. The ppl in the ER move to their own beat. If you in uniform you will get seen before civilian even if you arrived at the same time and of duty. I like family Medicine department if you can get in but the ER can do better.

I went there yesterday with an allergic reaction and they treated me so nice, the people there are amazing! They were friendly, courteous, and very professionals. When I got there, I had like 4 doctors and 2 nurses with me! All of them were working as fast as they could. This is one these times when you say I don't want to go back there ever!, but at the same time, if I need anything, trust me, I'll be coming here again. Keep the good work people! You rock!!!

My experience with CRDAMC has varied from awful to...

My experience with CRDAMC has varied from awful to phenomenal. The ER experience is on a par with some of the worst NYC waiting times with a small fraction of intake patients. Front desk covering the ER leave something to be desired. Cold and callus. Both at the old hospital and now the new. There was a very awesome ER nurse with a warm smile, flowers in her hair beautiful jewelry and a kind professional disposition to match. She saved me from being poked an 8th time between the toes was the next place the first nurse was trying to poke me after my breast plate area failed to produce a vein. I had RNY done by Dr. Young who took amazing care of me. Him and his staff were extremely caring. I spent a week in ICU. It was at the old hospital a few weeks before they moved. There was one male ICU nurse who seemed absolutely disgusted by having to care for me. Also a nurse working nights who was pretty awful. She kept me high and knocked out through out her entire night shift. I went on to have kidney stone removal surgery at the new hospital. Dr. Anderson was also phenomenal as was the staff of nurses day and night shift. I know there can be some encounters with medical professionals who leave much to be desired but there are also those who take you in their care as if you were their very own family. There's no denying that. While I feel it's important to leave your worries at the door when you go to work, there are people who can have an off day. With that being said, there are people who maybe should no longer continue in the field and the only way to ensure these professionals are held accountable is by taking a stroll up to patient advocacy and filing an official complaint. Don't be deterred by anyone in that office. I went in to inquire about a doctor who I wasn't sure was helping me or not. My husband and I sat there and explained the situation. The woman seemed annoyed. Arms crossed, defensive even, with her line of questions until I explained I was speaking about a doctor in a private practice off post. As soon as I said that her entire demeanor changed. I thought patient advocacy was for Tricare patients and any of the doctors they see. I didn't realize it was for the medical providers only with in the building.

I nearly died here when I was 2 years old, I'm 20 now. I was running high fever and my parents were waiting for at least 6 hours in the ER waiting room (people were going in for a lot more minor stuff apparently) before my dad got up and started yelling at the triage nurse (no I had not been through triage either). When they took me in to triage and saw how high of a fever I had (104F) they started freaking out, and when they couldn't get any urine (my kidneys were shutting down already) that is when they admitted me. Stayed in the hospital for 2-3 days and have not been back since. Still wouldn't trust them with my life to this day.

Every nurse on the 4th floor is an idiot! I'm a diabetic & pregnant, and my first nurse didn't give me my dose of insulin only because it was under a certain number. Then later I'm in the 200's. Another nurse at lunch time didn't t give me my insulin dose because I was at 60, she asked what I do at home when this happens and I explained to her I still give myself my insulin and eat and go on. Well 2 hrs later I'm at 250! The doctor specified my ticket out is to have blood sugars under 100 for 24 hours. I've had the worst care ever here! I do not recommend this place at all!!!

My son had a septoplasty and tonsilectomy in this hospital.I don't have any problem with the doctor who did the surgery. My concern is after his surgery care. The doctor talk to my in the waiting area after his surgery that everything went well and here comes the nurse without saying excused me while me and the doctor are still talking, instructing me to go to the pharmacy and pick up my son medication. After spending 20 to 30 minutes in the Pharmacy,i went back to the recovery room to see my son. Here come the Spc.nurse introduced himself and wants me to help my son to put on his clothes and so we can go home.He even put down the bed/side rails. My son is under general anesthesia and he is a minor.I told him my son needs to sleep for and hour besides he doesn't want to go home yet and they just finished his surgery about 45 minutes ago.Past 1 hour,my son complained of headache, they gave him morphine and in 2 minutes here comes the Spc.nurse again telling us we need to go home!! They just gave my son morphine and i don't know how my son will react with the morphine,,sad that there's not a lot of people have a compassionate hearts working in the Hospital now a days.....i will make sure will write a Horrible ICE complaint.

It doesn t matter what time you come for your appointment because you ll automatically wait over thirty minutes past your scheduled time to be seen. They want you to arrive fifteen minutes early to waste over fifty minutes of your time. Some of us don t have the luxury of time and it s clear our time never matters when it comes to the ER, the family medicine clinics, etc.

I was abused by doctors in the ER here. I have 2 rare severe conditions that apparently are not important (to an undereducated and inexperienced resident and the resistant proud chief of the ER) even with signed instructions from my neurologist, and they retaliated our report to patient advocacy by refusing to treat me. This hospital is DANGEROUS.

I can say nothing else than positive things about the hospital. From my first appointment up to my surgery I had nothing but a great experience. My wait times were never long and everyone was so friendly and caring. The staff was awesome! Thank you to all the great nurses and my great doctors. I been provided such good care I felt comfortable and so welcome the whole time. I was really scared! They took time to talk me trough it step by step kept me laughing and talking the whole time what helped me so much. Thank you to the whole surgery team as well to all the staff at my pre op and after surgery care. Such an amazing experience.

If I could put negative stars I would. The nurses in the ER neglect their patients and accuse the patients of lying about their symptoms. They disappear and leave you in the unknown about what is happening and what they are going to do next. Maybe if the employees here cared more about the people they re supposed to help rather than their phones or flirting with each other, it would probably be a decent hospital. They don t call it the Morgue of Fort Hood for nothing.

I went there because I was having severe pain in my mouth and pain and difficulty swallowing. I assumed my wisdom teeth were coming in or it was a canker sore. I waited about 45 minutes to be seen, nothing major. Went in another 30 minutes for the doctor again nothing wrong. He was friendly and nice, took all the information and symptoms I was having. Told me I think I know what s wrong with you, let me get with another doctor and we ll be back and you can go home I waited 2 hours. 2 HOURS. The other doctor came in she was a female she basically said she I was fine and that it was just allergies. Last I checked allergies didn t give me a swollen mouth and trouble swallowing and pain. She was u professional and seemed to be rushing me didn t even tell me if I needed medication I had to ask another nurse. Will not come here again

Good and bad.

Good and bad.

Not quite a year ago I had a seizure while on post the day my husband was set to go off to Korea. Someone called 911 and an ambulance took me to Darnall. The experience I had there was amazing. Great doctors, nurses and overwhelmingly great care during a stressful and not great time.

Now for the bad. Now I'm expecting our first child and the staff has been less than helpful. It's nearly impossible to make an appointment in person. It's easier and actually just takes less time to go up there and do it in person. When I made my first appointment and told them about my epilepsy the acute care team in the women's health center dealing with my pregnancy made some suggestions that tell me they are inexperienced in dealing with my situation. I'm uncomfortable with the handling me during the course of my pregnancy.

Majority of the staff here give ZERO condolences or respect. I had a miscarriage there last year because I had to wait 3 hours in the waiting room to be seen because I felt I was having one. No one cares about you. I also saw FIVE different Obgyn doctors during a 2 week span which meant all five had to go up there. Never again will I let them do that. I am pregnant again and I refuse to be treated with such disrespect as I have been before. Sadly I m literally FORCED to use this hospital because of the insurance I m on. Tricare Prime. I missed the deadline to switch to select to where I could choose where I go. My heart is literally broken into a million pierces that I have to go here again,

Their ER is ridiculous and laughable.

Your Patient Advocacy Office - what is wrong with ...

Your Patient Advocacy Office - what is wrong with that person you put in charge of it, the Tracie Duckett-Stephens woman? Looks as if that place is just run for show to shove off patients with little complaints. Try to go there and have a more serious complaint and ask for help. That's what will happen to you there: the Duckett woman stomps up, threatens the other nice patient advocates, some of whom think it is their job to help patients, that they will get fired if they dare to do their job, and intimidates and threatens the other advocates and the patients. In my case, I asked for help to get my medical record amended, and all hell broke loose. The Duckett threatened with lawyers, lawsuits, 911 calls, screamed for the facility's private goon squad hirelings, and tried to get me barred from entering the hospital for all eternity. The crime? Asking for help to get your record amended from false entries of some mischievous doctor who was trying to cover up her malpractice acts, and who used your patient ID to get her fingers on the pharmacy's narcotic supply to get herself some dope . Duckett screamed that claiming there are false entries in your record, which prevent you from getting appropriate medical care, constitutes a threat to the doctor's integrity - and you are not allowed to ask for amendments of falsified entries, that such a request is a crime. She also roared that having the audacity to bring the forged prescription history lists to an outside federal agency, to get the matter investigated, constitutes a serious threat to DARNALL's integrity. She hollered that if I think the guilty doctor(s) involved will ever go to prison and lose their licenses for what they have done wrong, I can forget that. She will do everything to prevent that from happening because these employees have "families and have to make a livelihood", that I am not worth it that these people will go to jail, that no patient is worth that. - Well, patients also have families and have to make livelihoods, but crooked doctors' families and livelihoods are obviously far more important than the ones of patients. Sure, the crooks who forge prescription and medical records in DARNALL have to make a livelihood - but why as a drug dealer? There will always be jobs for them waiting off post when their licenses are gone: either in prison, where they will get a job making license plates, or in one of the fast food joints all over the place where all the people work they consider as below themselves. What criminal a--holes. - For the Duckett women: you think protecting massa plantation make massa love you? Dream on. You are one of the few sad samples around who is much worse than massa, and, plantation massa (DARNALL) knows that and despises you for trying desperately to kiss his behind and to sell out others. You deserve a whipping from your massa, you nasty thing.
I never want to see you or hear from you ever again. You even called me repeatedly by phone to utter threats. DARNALL needs to fire you and make one of the other, nice, competent advocates chief of that department. You are running a Patient Retaliation Department, and not an advocacy department. Get lost, Duckett.

My daughter is stationed at Forthood. I called her because she is due any day with her first child, I've tried to call her phone, no answer. So I called the hospital trying to see if she had gone into labor, the labor and delivery department wasn't any help all I asked from them was if my daughter is there could they give her a message to call me, she may have gone into labor by herself and couldn't call, is that to much to ask? Now I'm getting into my car driving to Forthood, it's going to take me 5 hours to get there, that's my daughter. The hospital is rude and doesn't care about patients, family or soldiers. Lord help the strangers.

The staff are usually polite, when you get to speak with them. However few places have taken such effort to construct a building that insulates the providers from the patients who need to talk to a person. When it comes to dropping off specimens there is a failure to give adequate instruction that results in tests having to be taken multiple times. I have never seen a facility so averse to improving processes or to listening to patient concerns.

I wish I could give negative stars. This place is a joke! Not only is it always filthy but they can't seem to get their stuff together. The women that check you in have awful attitudes and you check in with one person then have to wait in another line to check in with someone else. It took them 20 minutes to even call me to check in and they were just gossiping with each other. While we were waiting a man came in and asked why they told his wife she has to go off post with their daughter that had 103 temp. Instead of being helpful she told him that she will call security. Following that it took them longer to check in others because they had to take time to gossip about that. They are quick to just try and give a prescription instead of doing their jobs and figuring out what is actually wrong.

Anyone have a good contact number for this facility? All numbers posted on the internet do not work. I ve even tried to message them via Facebook. I was at Ft Hood during pre-mob to Kuwait in Sept-Oct of 2016. I became very ill and the GI, Ortho, and Rheumatologist only had less than 30 days to figure out what was wrong. Since they couldn t figure it out I was Refrad. The problem I am running into now is not being able to retrieve my medical records from my time there. I tried to retrieve it through ebenefits, but that information was not included. I also received a CD with what was suppose to contain all my medical records, but again every workup from Carl R. Darnell was not included. The VA doesn t even have records of it. To make matters worse, I was discharged from the Army due to this medical condition.

I gave them three stars, because the facility was gorgeous and well kept. The doctors seemed to do the best they could in the limited time. But, how can there be a lack of contact numbers? Just think that is odd.

I'd like to add my two cents on this hospital by saying that my experiences here at the hospital have been positive. Staff has been friendly and professional. In the event that one of my doctors can't make it into work, I'm notified immediately and given a new appointment date on the spot. Granted, there may be unprofessional employees working at the hospital but you get that everywhere. My only complaint is that sometimes the temperature can get hot in the waiting rooms.

I am 20 weeks pregnant, and been having a hard time breathing, and sharp pains in my right side, I went to the er waited about 40 min and they never sent me to the Delivery area like they were suppose to and when I said I was going to leave to be seen at another hospital they said they didnt care and I could leave. I understand they cant make you stay but it's very disrespectful when the nurse says she doesnt care! This place needs to be fixed.

It's pretty bad that active duties and there families are treated unprofessional. These men and women lay there lives on the line for us. Maybe this hospital needs to be investigated , maybe I will start posting these stories on social media networks.

You will die just waiting at the ER, Horrible service, two hours of waiting to get prescription refilled.
we need it because my mother lost health insurance during PCS move and it doesn't start until later next mont, she is traveling tomorrow for six months and maybe more ..... after waiting and waiting they ask you to get blood test done before refills prescribed and that's another 2 hours waiting, no thanks, thanks for taking care of a Soldier's family while getting ready to deploy.

Went in for suspected ovarian cyst. Still in pain btw, and this is 2.3 weeks later. The doctor and staff that helped me were professional and everything went alright there. BUT, the doctor put in for me to get a pelvic ultrasound and the ultrasound/imaging dept. didn't call me with the appointment details until I got Patient Advocacy involved. Like I said, here I am 2 weeks later in pain as my original appt w/the physician who put the order in was that long ago! Such a shame. If they are so short and understaffed with doctors in the imaging dept, why not hire a couple more or ojt a few? Leaving people to be in pain like this while waiting for a scan is ridiculous. I wonder if I would have even gotten an appt if I did not call Patient Advocacy? Also, my appointment is nearly 1 month away. I may well need to go to the ER before then. FFS...

Went there with not being able to breath and being dizzy I was forced to wait 2 hours. After I complained 4 times I can barely breath I then left I drove home got out of my car collapsed. Emts came and i coded on the way to another hospital. Turns out I had a infection in my heart. I was in the ICU for a week. This place will let you die while they text away. The problem is that the military doctors will not get any repercussions due to the us soldiers signing a contract. The civilians just know that they can get away with anything. There's a reason this place is nicknamed the "morgue" on fort hood. Your better off going somewhere else.
