Loved the zoo lights, beautiful setting. We even saw zebras, elephants and giraffes! Hopefully we will return soon to see the animals for an actual day visit. Very help staff and good access for parking.
This was the most laid back trip to the zoo we've ever had. The one way path was nicely laid out and we felt like we saw everything we came for. The staff was very friendly too!
I love this zoo. I feel like I see something new every time we go. This time it was for zoo lights, which wasn't my first time, but it's always a good time to spend with good people. Food and drink are way too over-priced, but you don't go to the zoo for the refreshments. I'll keep coming back, time and time again.
This zoo is one of thebest I've ever been to, and is an incredible trip for the whole family!
The Denver Zoo is an amazing place to visit! We have a membership and every visit is different from other times we go. The San Diego Zoo has nothing on Denver Zoo, and I've also heard several others express this same opinion.
Always a great place to hang out new stuff happening all the time.
Should not have night events, not many animals out & not we'll lot.
Great zoo with lots to see. Discounted on days when temperatures are above 90. We still stayed cool because there was plenty of shade.
My kids love coming here and seeing at the beautiful animals that God created!
Great fun for the whole family! Love the new tiger exhibit.
We love the zoo! The staff is so informative and friendly.
A wonderful zoo with a ton to see, great staff to help you learn more, and constantly upgrading habitats. The new bear habitat looks great, watching the elephants splash around is a blast and the great apes like to say hi. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is parking. Parking is just plain awful at the zoo, prepare to circle the lots for 20-45 minutes most times of day. Take a bus or Uber if you want to save the pain.
Loved it! All of these animals well taken care of. Variety, better than LA Zoo where the walking distance between one resident and another is greater. Denver Zoo has lots more to see, and again, residents seem happier than LA Zoo.
Tatu the baby lion!! Wait, there was more?? Jk a really nice zoo.
They are always updating the zoo so you can get a different experience everytime.
Updates are coming along great and amazing place.to take the kids!
Lots of different animals in nice enclosures. We saw 2 camelions mating!
We did the Xmas lights. Cool experience and event for a casual evening.
It was a great place to bring our kiddos for their first time.
It was alot of fun to see all the different animals. Love the fact they had maps of entire zoo.
Fun place! It is always enjoyable to see the animals. It seems to me you are able to see different animals better each time you go
I live too far away to be at the Zoo very much ,which is why I appreciate it so much. The train ride is a disappointment now. It is very short and only around the area you are in. It would be better if they made it go around the whole Zoo.
Excellent zoo. Good variety of animals. Great to see they are expanding to have an on site animal hospital.
Some exhibits a bit crowded, but overall well worth the visit
Was just in the zoo park, but love it. Was a nice little way to get the kids tired and a relaxing place to just chill with the kiddos when it cools.off
Zoo lights is always one of our favorite things to do around the holidays. While not all the animals are out the elephants and giraffes always are and it's fun to see them at night.
The lights were ok, something that I can say I did but . Only do one time. The not so great part about the zoo lights were how far apart the restroom are it's a family things lots of kids go and everyone know kids ALWAYS HAVE TO PEE EVERY FIVE SECONDS
My experience at the Denver Zoo was amazing to say the least. The staff was very courtious and helpful. The animals all looked very healthy and happy. It was a very educational experience that lasted all day. My favorite part was seeing the reptiles and fish, it just never got old.
28 years later it is still one of my favorite Zoo's...
My love family had an amazing time. They have lots of places to visit and they also have many places to eat. So your never far away from food or drink.
Zoolights! Family friendly stroll under the lights. Great holiday season activity.
Always one of my favorite places! They love their animals and it shows!
They said there was animals. Did not see any animals.
Nice zoo with interaction with certain animals that the kids will never forget. they enjoy seeing live moving animals in their artificial environments to learn a little bit about the different species. I wonder if there are guides to teach about each of the different exhibits of all the precious animals.
Visited the day after a good snow fall and found the animals were suprisingly active for the weather. Never been to the zoo in winter so it was a great new and different experience. Could imagine this zoo would be a great experience in warmer months. Enclosures and zoo seemed great and well kept!
This is a beautiful zoo. I will say I did get lost and walked in a few circles while their but other than that they have large layout and great selection of happy animals. The peacock was wondering freely around the zoo, which was pretty neat.
Many exhibits permanently empty. They have faltered over the years and it's very sad as a Denver native to see their significant decline.
The habitats were well thought out and the variety of animals was educational. I will definitely visit this zoo again some day.
This is a wonderful zoo. It's easy walking. There is no extra charge for the rainforest exhibit. There is also a play area for kids to take a break and just play.
Honestly, the parking is a nightmare, half of the exhibits are closed for 1 reason or another, and there's construction all around. 3 stars for the staff and the very few animals we saw, plus the price wasn't terrible. I've seen more expensive zoos.
normally its fine but this time they had every second walkway blocked. most unpleasant
Too expensive, couldn't find a warm building to get I'm out of the cold. Totally bored. Not worth the cost at all.
My favorite zoo. The animals are well kept and happy, the layout controls congestion from foot traffic. In comparison to other zoos I have visited, the animals have an amazing level if comfort and are generally playful and calm.
Zoo Lights, beautiful light displays. Also, very crowded!
Liked the Denver zoo light ... It was a unique and different experience than conventional zoos.
Very nice..needs a little TLC..but other then that we had a good time
Went for the Zoo Lights event and it was amazing. Most of the animals were out, there are plenty of concessions and warm beverages, and there are heaters scattered throughout the zoo. The lights were exciting and different at every turn
It was good but lots of places closed due to covid-19 and one way traffic so if you missed something no going back to see it
Unfortunate Covid 19 masks, shut off to part of the park. Rangers seeking people out if you didn't have your mask on. It was hot and you can't breathe. It was just very unfortunate to pay all that money and not really enjoy the experience.
The zoo does a good job of making habitats for the animals instead of just cages.
Our family absolutely loves this place and our family membership
Great staff and animals! Zoo lights are also amazing during the year
We took my 3 year old to the zoo this week and it was a wonderful, educational visit. She loves animals and the zoo is well laid out and welcoming! I d recommend going in the mornings or evenings because in the heat of the day the animals seem to nap or escape the heat!
What a great zoo. Though the map and layout is a little confusing but the quality of exhibits are great. You really feel like the animals are being well cared for and enriched. The food was fantastic! Far better quality than I would have expected from a zoo. And the most photogenic bear I have ever seen in my life was a nice bonus.
Great zoo from what I saw. Lots was under construction when I was there. Plan on going back when things open back up
Was good could not see half the animals i wanted to cause of the season
Prices are insane. I dont mind considering its helping the animals. Just plan to bring cash or your own food.
Dont take your children inside the giraffe room. The giraffes were so wonderful and majestic we couldn't step away from them. When it came time for feeding on the other hand i couldn't get my child away quicker. The trainer, an over weight middle aged woman with kinky blonde hair began screaming in the meanest tones at the giraffes and squirting it with water. I know the water wasn't that bad but the way she screamed and what she said was terrifying for my 4 year old and I. The trainer was acting like she was going to not feed them and possibly hurt them so we left as soon as possible. I will be making further complaints to get this woman fired. NO one deserves to be treated like that, esp. a creature that was ripped from its natural home, and no less in front of my daughter who is having nightmares now about the "evil woman" at the zoo. We will never go there again. Or probably any other zoo.
Great place to take the grandbaby with all the animal families with babies. Especially liked baby giraffe & baby gorilla family. Even this young she was happy to ride in the stroller & could see everything, but Dad held her up to see some of the baby animals up close. Convenient drink refreshment stands & rest rooms. Clean, nicely landscaped minimal walking zoo.
We renew our membership every year, it's a great place to visit throughout the year. To get outside. Walk aound. See the animals. The kids love going!
I love our zoo. They also have fun after hour activities for adults.
Boo at zoo is a big hit...had an awesome time with my family there..so much to do with family n beautiful habitat for animals is worth the walk.
Have witnessed lot many species which I haven't seen in any of my last 20 zoo visited.
Average Zoo! No animals want to be seen
They look depressed!
Clean, lots of baby animals. Employees were always with answers to any questions we had.
Very fun exciting place to go they keep up with sanitizing everything and now they have a exhibit for you to be able to feed and pet the stingrays
Great zoo with many interesting animals and activities. Free parking in the garage or adjacent surface lot. The line to purchase tickets was a bit long but we were able to just buy tickets online and skip the wait. They have some great season pass options that if you are local and plan to visit regularly would definitely be worthwhile.
Pretty solid for a central city zoo! Wish they had meerkats.
WOW The light show for the holidays is incredible, very impressive!! This is one of the best place in Denver. Always changing, well maintained and fun for every age. Highly reccomended!
Lots of animals and something for everyone to enjoy
The Denver zoo is awesome!!!! Looks like they have a new bear walk through as well!!! Complete with audio and a few TV's giving random facts. Great place for the family!
