I've lived in Denver my whole life and I always enjoyed The Denver Zoo. They have tons of things to see and do like see a movie in the 4D theater, or watch the Elephant demonstration, at the new Toyota elephant passage way. You can also get the kiddos facepainted or drawn as a caricatures. There's lots of choices for food, a little expensive but you pay for convenience. You can bring your own food and wagons, there's a lot of outside exhibits so be sure to wear a nice hat and sunscreen. Staff is usually very friendly as well. If you haven't visited the lovely animals at the denver zoo u should they're great!

This is a very nice zoo. It is very well staffed and is a great place to bring young kids who like to explore and enjoy animals. The facility is great, with structures for the animals to walk on.

I always love going to the Denver zoo! Today was my first time bringing my service dog and they were so polite and knowledge on service dogs! I was expecting way more restricted areas where he couldn't go But there were only 8! It was nice to be able to enjoy the zoo with my service dog! Can't wait to see the new habitats!

I have a zoo pass and take my kids a few times per month. If you don't like the prices for individual admission, get a pass. I have a family pass and get myself, an adult guest, and all kids under 18 in for free every time I go. It comes with a second card too so my mom takes my kids when I can't. Only $160 for the entire year! Like that we can pack a picnic. I do agree that the grizzly and other bear habitats seem small. But enjoy feeding the giraffes!

Wonderful place to visit. The grounds team creates beautiful botanical areas. The animals and habitats are well tended. Their outreach programs are acting on global levels, and they have great education for visitors. We love the zoo! Memberships are a must!

We went for grandparents day, yesterday, with our little one, and my parents, and while the park was very busy, it was a beautiful day, and the visit was very enjoyable! All our employee interactions were wonderful! You could tell that the majority of the people working and volunteering at the zoo, truly want to be there! We learned a lot, had a great time, and actually had really good food, as well. We went to the food truck near the train and carousel, and the food was expensive, but absolutely delicious!!

We spent most of the time in Denver in the mountains but it was nice to stop by here and enjoy the zoo. It is a tradition for my family, when visiting new towns to see the zoo and what it compares to the local free zoo at home. This was an excellent place to visit and spend some time. It is very well maintained and the staff was super friendly. The kids enjoyed it here and we even enjoyed the side shows they offered. It does cost in here but it is worth every dime and one of the nicest zoos in the country.

Loved the experience, I come here yearly!

Loved the experience, I come here yearly!
It's a family and school tradition!
I kinda wish they had more animals like wolves, owls, sea turtles, tortoise, Ox, bull, but still wonderful!! And very surprised it barely stinks!!
Shows are cool! Parking is a pain in the neck, but it's worth it! If you want easy to find parking spaces, come March-May or August-October on Tuesdays, Wednesday, Monday, or Thursday, possibly come 10-11am

We have had a membership to the Zoo for three years now and I never get tired of going. The special exhibits are always fun. They always seem to be changing and improving the animal habitats. Free parking is also a plus.

Had a great time. Realize that during the current health crisis (July 2020), you must reserve a time to go. But because not a lot of people are there, it is very open. There is a lot to see, although it's a little different. When things get back to normal, I think I'll view this "people limit" as being spoiled.

If you're planning on going more than once the season pass is worth the money, especially for Zoo Lights. Just got a baby orangutan so adorable. The Sea Lions and Seals put on a great show.

The Denver Zoo has limited space for its animals. This may not be a fair statement since it is surrounded by unavailable property. Also, I'm used the Portland Oregon Zoo that has one of, if not the largest, elephant habitats in the nation. Portland also has dedicated its Zoo to rehabilitation and saving endangered animals. Denver Zoo could learn much from Portland.

This zoo is MASSIVE! We spent the greater part of a day here and still barely saw everything. We did manage to see two animal exhibit shows while we were there which is nice. If it is a warm day like it was for us, I recommend taking turns with the cooler indoor exhibits to stay cool during the day! Pack some snacks, water and lots of sunscreen and get ready for a close up experience with TONS of animals!

My kids and I really love going to the zoo. At this zoo they are always adding and making the exhibits bigger and better. The animals look healthy and happy and they usually have a baby or two to see. This past week we saw a baby orangutan and a baby gorilla, so cute!

Got the see every singlw animal they had except no monkeys and no lions. They built this zoo thinking of the animals. I love that. Thanks for a great experience. Saw elephants, tiger, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, gorrillas, urangatans, omg so many more lol

The zoo is relatively small compared to other major cities, but that also gives it the advantage of being more manageable to visit most of the pavilions in a single day.

The fact it's located right downtown next to City Park and the Science Museum makes it easy to hit several destinations and puts you close some great restaurant options if you want to make a full day of it.

The Denver Zoo has been an amazing place to visit lately. They have times entry so crowds are low, it is one way, and so clean! They strictly enforce the facemask policy and they are just amazing and friendly! Plus they just added Lego animal's! So fun!

One of the tigers did nothing but pace in an obviously already worn path. The main cat exhibit was closed. Most of the animals were at the back of their enclosures and looked like they were waiting to be fed. It was sad and I won't go back again.

This zoo has an excellent amount of space for the animals-- better than others I've seen where sometimes animals seem cramped. I like the denver zoo emphasis on positive reinforcement training too
