This place while it is good for a main land facility. I think it could do better if for the price you were able to see more. The time to walk through the display does not equate to the price.

My grandson and I had a good time at the aquarium. I'm glad it was open.
It's an okay place. Quaint and a little cheesy. Liked a lot of the table. Don't think tigers ahold be there. Liked the mermaid thing, but don't like the firing area for it. Want well thought out in that respect.
A decent array of aquatic species. The restaurant is over priced and over rated on many sites.
Loved the experience and knowledge they gave of us in the grow house.. the glass museum was the coolest..
Absolutely wonderful place to visit. My kids loved it. I loved it. Will be doing it again for sure
It was a nice aquarium! Not the best I've ever been to, but a nice visit if you are in the area!
Expensive, but quite nice! Could have used a little more diversity, but a lot of fun. The mermaid shows were short, but well worth the time!!
We love our visits to the Downtown Aquarium! The only drawback is the price, and sometimes the crowd.
This was the best aquarium experience I've ever had. Tons of exhibits and different types and species.
You can get right up close to the glass, and be inches away from huge groups of sharks! There are all kinds of creatures including tigers!
Be sure to stop by the manta Ray feeding area, where you can pet live sting rays!
The entry fee is a little expensive, at $23 just to get in, but the $29 ticket includes food to feed the sting rays. Go later at night (we went at 6pm) and you'll nearly have the place to yourself.
It is not as big as I was expecting especially for the cost of admission. It was very linear so you have to go with the flow of traffic and there were not many spaces to stop and just look. There were not many species or shows. The mermaid show was good. The signs were educational. Swimming with animals looked fun and is something I would consider doing in the future. I would go again when we can get discounted tickets and during the off season. It is very busy on summer weekends, as expected. We did not do any of the extra paid activities.
Overall a very fun and educational place. Took a little over an hour to make it through. Street parking was free on the weekend and we made it through the exhibits with plenty of time.
Love the aquarium. Wish they had more info posted about the different fish etc.
A wonderful aquarium with a restaurant attached and tigers. I had a blast here and spent about an hour walking through and enjoying the exhibit. If you sign up for the email rewards you buy one get one half off your tickets
Not worth the price of $27 dollars rather go to the zoo
To enter buying thiket there cost 20.88.THEY take you picture at the entrance and give you barcode card for it. The aquarium is quet small. In the Sunday evening took as to see it around 40 (walking inside 2wise) probably if you visit it when there is a lot of people will take more time. It's pleasent to visit. Nice big tangs. It's pleasent. In the end of circule you can BUY THE PHOTO they took for you. So it's 35$! 1 picture 7/10 cm. And they doesen't show it to you: THEY PRINT THEM FOR YOU! NO OBLIGATIONS! AND put them in emvolope! The same picture printed once normal and seccond time added with Photoshop background of aquarium. They show u small picture which cost ONLY 8$!!! But you can't buy only the SMALL ONE! You can ONLY BUY IT IN ADDITION to the 2 big one's!!! Poor managment! MANY families will spend 10$ for small picture! But very few will like to spend 35$! I think they need better marketing planing! So they recycled our pictures! Printing expenses, inc, paper so much waste!!! Avidity is a sean!
This place is NOT COVID friendly or safe. Reserved our time slot online and assumed it was staggered entry. They clearly oversold every slot as there was 4-5 groups deep worth of people at every exhibit. After 20 minutes in their cramped corridors I left. Not worth the over sold and over priced ticket to be put in a tunnel of moisture, funky odor, and unmasked kids. Not a single staff member was spotted besides the ticket gal. Would avoid 1000x over if you're COVID conscious
Loved Every Moment ESPECIALLY Touching the sting rays.
enjoyable to visit, it does tend to get overcrowded on weekends. if you need a stroller it can become a burden quickly as people will get in your way.and won't mice or physically shove it around even though you're walking,
This place was a complete rip off from the deceiving size of the place which makes you think the place has a lot to offer. This was no better than a side show beach aquarium. Also they charge for every little thing. I have a w year old and they want to charge per person for the carousel ride and the train. My suggestion would be instead of using a person's recept to get a ride give tokens or wrist bands. They basically got $9 free from me for a lost train recept. Will never come back or recommend this place to anyone else.
High priced no extras but some thing to pass a few hours
Had a Groupon, otherwise would be pretty pricey but fun.
Very cool aquarium with a neat variety of animals and fish etc. I do think the cost is a little high, but definetly a cool place.
Super fun and exciting! Very fun for the whole family and the food there was great aswell! All the animals there look healthy and happy and staff are very nice and helpful!
Lots of fun. They have a large variety of sea creatures from around the world. The flash flood exhibit is pretty neat. The Tigers and sharks are fascinating. My 3 year old niece enjoyed petting the sting rays.
When going to the downtown aquarium in Denver you'll have 4 options when it comes to parking. A $5 lot on the south west side of the aquarium. A $7 lot directly across from the aquarium. Metered parking on the street north east of the aquarium with a 2 hour max. There is also a park just beyond the metered parking that has free parking with a 2 hour max.
If you eat at the restaurant first, you can get a discount on the aquarium entrance fee. As for the restaurant. I like the layout and ambiance in the dining room. There are two beautiful floor to ceiling tanks that you can eat next to. The food reminds me of fried chain restaurant food. I had a sandwich because the only seafood option that looked appealing was the ahi tuna poke. I would expect more fresh options and tacos. Service was really good (we had Samantha and she was really good, offered drinks, apps, took our order quickly and never let our drinks get half full or half empty) but they are really annoying about signing you up for the Landry's Restaurant Chain rewards card.
The aquarium is pretty cool. It's not the best but it's pretty good. There's a lot of Colorado related aquatics which was really cool. When the aquarium is crowded it feels like the walkways are narrow and some of the coolest exhibits aren't that big so seeing them amongst a large crowd can be tough. There is a beautiful tiger that has a beautiful large exhibit but apparently this thing sleeps for 18 hours a day so good luck seeing it because we never have.
So all in all. It was a fun outing for all. We ate at the restaurant and spent a lot of things going thru the aquarium. We have toddler twin boys who rode in strollers with ease. Going to the bathroom was hard. I wish they had automatic doors on the bathroom. It took us 3 hours to eat and visit the aquarium. There were a lot of exhibits we didn't spend much time at.
Did you like my review? Please hit like so I can get my brownie points. Thank you kindly :-)
Fun for some family time. Restraunt is to exspensive for quantity that is served. Other than that it is great...
Best Aquarium ever! Admission price totally worth it!!
Over priced with very little attractions and not very accommodating. No lockers to store bags and coats. They push sales on you and a lot of things are "pay to play"
Amazing place to see all kinds of animals. There isn't just fish. I can't wait to go back to see the mermaids
Little pricey for what they have. It was very crowded also
Makes everyone stand in a long line just to get in so they can force you to take a picture to try to get a few extra bucks. I paid $200 for annual passes and I still have to go through this pain every time I come. So rediculus. It is so clear that this is run by a private equity group.
Wonderful variety of fish! Otters, parrots, a tiger and a stingray pool. 4-D theatre also. Beautiful, clean tanks. Tons of corals, sharks and more!
Pretty overpriced, it's an ok size but not worth $20. I'd recommend it if it were cheaper, but you can practically zip through this aquarium because it is pretty small.
Had a fun time exploring with my family. 2 adults and 2 kids cost me $70 just for the exhibit only. Didn't do the restaurant package as this was a spur of the moment trip and we had just eaten. Lots of different fish species to learn about. I loved the rain forest themed area where they had 3 tigers. My kids had a blast. Next time we will definitely eat at the restaurant. The family picture starts off at $25 with 2 different background themes. Then goes up $10 more for each additional package.
Great place for kids of all ages! Fortunately, we were able to get half off pricing for the kids who wore their Halloween costumes, otherwise it is very expensive to go on a typical families budget. Parking is difficult also and costly.
Went with the family to the aquarium and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. I wasn't a big fan of all of the extra attractions that we had to pay for, and it was extremely crowded. Otherwise, it was a good trip that I will go to again, perhaps during a weekday when it will be less crowded.
Very cool atmosphere but took away 1 star for serving seafood!
Expect to spend as much time waiting in line for tickets as it takes to see the whole inside. The cavernous design makes it easy to get stuck behind large groups. You have to pay for parking which is annoying. The Denver zoo has free parking and is a much better use of your money. Their aquarium is compatible to the downtown one except they don't have sharks.
Really expensive and touristy, but the displays are nice.
Always a great experience. Quite a lot of variety in aquatic life to see and learn about.
Super fun and great for kids. Great food and loved watching the mermaid show! Also loved the fish and ect.
Lots of fish and fun things to do. Good for older kids.
For the price it was worth it. Had a great time looking at everything. I would recommend it to any body
My son, 6, had the best team running from window to window checking out all the fish. His favorite was petting the sting rays.
It s 2018 and yet they don t have a way to show on their website that they ll be closed for a private event thus wasting money on an uber. A 10% coupon doesn t even come close to how much money I wasted. Thanks for nothing
The aquarium is very expensive. I would suggest looking for discounts, rather than paying at the door. On the other hand, it is a great experience for most ages. In our party, ages 3 to 70 were all entertained.
You can either take your time viewing each exhibit and show and be there for hours, or you can breeze through and get out of there in 40-50 minutes. Super flexible for any schedule but either way, it's very fun.
Took my younger sister here today. She was entranced by the mermaids and loved the entire aquarium. Thank you so much!
Very busy but its the aquarium in Denver. Great selection of animals and their habitats. Very busy even during week day mornings and evenings. Lots of help if you have questions. Great programs for young ones. Slumber parties and swimming with the sharks. Animals are healthy and happy
It's a great place for kids and people who like to see aquatic animals.
It was a wonderful experience! I absolutely love the aquarium!
The aquarium was amazing!!! Our kiddos loved it and it was just so much fun!!! Will definitely return!!!
This was my first visit to the Denver Aquarium but it won't be my last. There is something for all ages. It is much more than just an Aquarium. Many excellent exhibits of different species of fish. There is also a rain forest and even some tigers to see. There is also a restaurant with wonderful food and great seating viewing a huge fish tank. I highly recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed.
Thursday at 4 is the time to go. Restaurant was amazing and the entire aquarium was almost empty. We had an amazing time. The exhibits are some of the best inhave ever seen at an aquarium.
Restaurant: Fish is always spectacular but the side dishes are ho-hum.
Always a great place to take our grandkids - 2 years, 9 months, and 7 years.
A small aquarium; we walk around twice. The tigers are an odd addition.
Fun place to visit and take the family or friends. Food is just okay and quite expensive, but that's not why I go there.
The aquarium has a bit of a carnival or fair-like atmosphere to it. There are a lot of gimmicks and machines which are ready to take your money, always hard on the up-sell.
The exhibit itself is average, with tons of fish, but only a few "wow-factor" tanks (like rays, eels, or sharks). There's also a rickety orangutan, which could use some oiling of it's mechanical parts. At the end is a tiger exhibit, for some reason. The end of the tour ends at the restaurant, complete with old, tacky carpeting and overused cheap nautical props.
Overall, this seems less like a zoo, and more like a restaurant that has this gimmick going, which is exactly what it is. For a $20 admission price, it's worth it if kids are begging to go there, but on its own it might be worth skipping in favor of a zoo or botanical gardens exhibition.
TOO EXPENSIVE. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. THEY CAN DO BETTER.
I love the downtown aquarium. Great family fun and its beautiful.
For the price you pay, it isn't much. Oklahoma aquarium is much better than this and San Diego has the best one I've ever been to. Both of those places have prices cheaper and more space for visitors as well as more exhibits. The Denver Zoo has better aquatic related exhibits than the aquarium. The ONLY part to the aquarium is the mermaid show that is worth anything. I hope they place the tigers stuck in there at the Cheyenne Mountain zoo or the wildlife refuge, sine their exhibit is so tiny for such a large animal.
