My journey with Paragon Security has been an exciting journey. I needed a job that wouldn't compromise my school schedule but would help my financially. I walked into Paragon's headoffice and felt amazed at how i was welcomed and assisted. I met with one of their recruiters Sathiya Gugathasan. Not only did he help me along the way to obtain my security license, but also helped me get a position after within Paragon that would let me go to school while maintaining consistant work hours. He understood my struggles with a schedule and also gave me full time hours. he would occasionally check up on me to make sure i was doing ok. He is the number one person i recommend going to see to get employment opportunities.

I've been in this industry a long time and I don't think I've encountered a company that treats it's employees as good as Paragon. People who have posted negative reviews about Paragon either were just adverse to hard work, and/or expected to get their security licence with no previous experience and start getting paid $18/hour, it just doesn't work that way. But if you can show that you are truly dedicated to representing Paragon well, you will be rewarded for it, that I promise you, as I am proof of that. They have great and helpful staff who will do as much for you as they can to make your time in the company a pleasant one, but again, you have to put in the work. it's just that simple.

Paragon Security is a great company to work for if you are a starter in the security industry. The team is consist of friendly, professional individuals who care about the employees on the individual level. They always try to work with you with regards to location, schedule and they will always support you when it comes to training requirements or if any emergencies may have arise, they will have your back.

I've been a former Paragon employee for over 5 years and I can say with confidence that I had an amazing experience and a lot of people there helped me grow and become a professional myself. However, be aware that there is a limit as how far you can reach with this company, and at some point, considering your ambition, you may have to make a decision. Other than that, as mentioned earlier, it is a great company to work for and I appreciate everything that they have done for me.

This review is for the training aspect of Paragon Security. first off I want to thank Twain Escoffrey for taking the time, energy and patience in training and preparing us for the security licence exam. Twain was very thorough and helped break down the course to many peoples understanding. He was very engaged and I could see that he's was actually very passionate about the security industry. Mitch also was very informative in training and facilitating the CPR and first aid course. Mitch made the training very engaging and interesting. ( I have taken multiple CPR and first aid courses in the past and found this one the most enjoyable. The administration team were also really awesome! With all of this training I recieved; I passed my license exam with flying colours. I Thank you Paragon Academy!

I have worked with many reputated secuirty compani...

I have worked with many reputated secuirty companies at very top level position as well. I also worked with paragon and experienced that this was the worst experience to be part of this company. From HR to schedular like Jamal, Tony etc... they need to train them properly. Overall I would say I watsed my time by joining this compny and finally I am no longer employee of this company. I would rate them as -4 ( minus 4 ).

I would like to share one small situation that occured to me. First off, after joining this company they will tell you to waste your two days for the training 09 am to 5 pm ( not paid ). Later on, they will assign you schedular and say that as you are hired as full time guard we will assign you permanent site sortly, till you can work as floater and we will give full hours. When you call your schedular, you will not be answered firstly. But after several tries, finally you will listen voice of your schedular and you will beg for the shifts and the answer will be we dont have anything for now, we will call you back once we have some shifts. After certain tries like this, finally you will be assigned to some shifts, monday to friday 11 pm to 7 am. When you arrive on the site, you will notice that the work you are going to do is Contractor watch and after 1-2 am, contractors go to home most of the time. You will be send to home after Contractor left the site and you will be happy that you have worked monday to friday, 40 hours. When you get a pay, total hours you have worked is 20. So you gonna be paid for 20 hours. So now you think that let me take shifts individually so after many attemps to convince your schedular for shifts you will get some shifts if you are lucky enough like 4 hours shifts and for that you need to travel 2 hours sometimes.

So my intention is not to stop anyone going or joining to Paragon Security. I just wanted to share my experience and I have shared little situation happened to me.

Anyway, I am happy that finally I am no longer employee of this company.

Best of luck to all those who are going or working with this company and hoping that you will not experience worst service that I felt.

Thanks Paragon to hire me and help me to experience your service.

Initially I thought their security license training program was good, later when I was hired elsewhere, I found out most of the things they taught me were wrong or illegal and they had set me up for failure. I m a good student I take in what I learn in these kind of training sessions and am serious about the job. I don t trust the information they have provided me as it might be outdated, just like their training videos.

They will charge you for training and that too a very expensive training and also make false promises to you that they ll get you a job thereafter but they don t even care after training. You just have to find jobs on your own. They mistreat you when you approach them for a job after training. So it s better to get training online or from other in class centres that provide at far cheap prices.

Its bad company they will just pay you minimum wages and try not pay you what you deserve. They pay try to pay you minimum wage even if you have experience and charge lot of money for the uniform, so don't buy new set of uniforms ask them for used ones if you don't want to pay around $300 for new ones. Otherwise good company to start with.

Useless waste of money. Security knows nothing, helps destroy property(midnight moves, security helps carry). Belligerent when asked why they help break rules. No security is better than Paragon, asleep after 7pm(show up after 6pm)Save your money and just buy better locks. People sleeping in storage units, drug dealers in parking lots, users in stairwells. "We can't help or do anything. Call police if you have proof we don't keep footage." 715/725/735 Don Mills Rd. I do more as an owner than this totally useless waste of money.....Reviews are by Employees, so beware of hiring this less than useful company.

I knew this was a great company from the day I enrolled in B.S.T. (Basic Security Training). The ladies in the H.R. department were kind and helpful. I was fortunate enough to meet Marcus D (Operations) and Sathiya G (my Locating Commissioner) very early on. These 2 gents quickly became my mentor's. They have been nothing but professional, honest and have made every effort to help me along through my training and placement process. Having spent a long time in the service industry, it's nice to see that even senior member's of the Paragon Team take the time to walk you to where you need to go. It shows that they care and are committed to ensuring that everyone on the team feels supported. In regards to training, the academy is modern, well provisioned and spotless which is a credit to the Acadamy Manager, Mr. Tom and his staff. My B.S.T. instructors were also great. Twaine and Rose struck an amazing balance between teaching us theory and how that translates into the real world. All they ask is that you take training seriously (by being an active participant), put a little effort into your appearance (how you put yourself together is how you will look on a site), work hard, listen and learn. I can't thank the entire Paragon Team enough for their help, kindness and professionalism

MAI ROSE PALMA NEEDS RETRAINING AND IS THE MOST Rude unprofessional individual especially in the training department, late and got embarrassed infront of the class like this is an elementary school on day 3 with the instructor, when as a student it s professional by a teacher to speak privately to an individual you do not know what is happening to them that they are late. I Will get my license but will not recommend this class anymore. What is funny is I sent 5 people who took this course for with paragon. NEVER will i recommenced this class again.

I am currently an employee at Paragon. I must admit that of all the security companies I worked for, Paragon is by far the best. The company respects its employees. Paycheck is on time. However, like any other companies, Paragon has some bad apples working for it. I work as a floater, for most part in downtown Toronto. Almost every site i have been to I was given hard time just because I don't belong to existing group. Yes, there is such thing. In some cases such group is formed based on sexual orientation; and in some cases based of religion or some form of country of origin. In one case, I reported the matter to the company and they took care of it right away. The question is how many more times one has to go through such process? I don't want to feel as if I report for duty, every time I am assigned to, just to file complaint against a bad apple. it won't be healthy.

I have been working with Paragon for about 2 months now after receiving training from them. Their training and instructors, Twain Escoffrey and Mitch, were really efficient. Sathiya Gugathasan, who was responsible for my recruitment made sure that I was given proper job roles and a good experience required for my professional development.

"HORRIBLE Experience! " The HR At This Paragon Location Has No Respect. He Called Me Saying He Wanted To Have An Interview With Me And He Gave Me The Wrong Location.. His Staff Said He's Open Rescheduling the oppoinment due to lack of information on his part and when I showed up he was very rude telling me to leave and he wasn't interested. He has no respect for people's time and cannot admit when things are his fault. Idk how this man has a position in the company hiring people with no basic human respect. And I do not recommend if you are applying here at this location for a job. Stay away from Paragon & *Chris Sullivan* The HR At This Location !!!!!!!!!!

if i can say something to someone applying to paragon.
you can get better treatment/hours/and pay from other security companies. do not apply for paragon as they dont value there employees at all and will treat you like garbage. you will more and likely have to wait for someone to relieve you (2 hours after your shift), have your hours cut, and work constant rotations and get disciplined if you dont. and once they have alot of applicant (summer) they will fire you for no reason. dont invest your time when you can apply for better companies(guarda, paladin, condor, etc)
thank me later .

Guards are very aggressive and inappropriate. Thrice I ve seen them behave unprofessionally at North York centre complex. They have little regard for safety when dealing with people - really shocked by their attitude toward minorities and elderly. More training needed!

Mai Rose Palma is a terrible instructor. She's boring, she pronounces a lot of words wrong which makes it hard to understand her and she embarrasses people in front of the class like we're in elementary school.

Most of their workforce consist of hard working immigrants who do their best to make a living. Sometimes they are late or leave a little early but that is understandable given the long hours. I have no issues with the guards they supplied us with. My issue is with their coordinators/mid level management. Once you pay them, the service goes down the drain. Very unprofessional and once they have your money the ball is in their court. Ignored phone calls and lack of replacements when guards called in sick. If you're a client that is looking for real security look elsewhere.

OK training but people can be real jerks in this company. They are not very accommodating to your needs or your schedule. Especially Sasha, not an understanding or nice guy. First time i met him he sized me up with a patronising stare, like I was a kid caught with my hand in the cookie jar. Not a good security company to work for. There are much better ones out there.

One of the worst company to work for in Toronto and Canada. HR is rude, they don't return to your calls. In addition, Sasha Stoic who is Director Of Client Services is hard to deal with and such a liar. I had Issues with the guy, and they don't give you your preferred work schedule even they have those hours available. Site supervisors are good at some sites but I had horrible experience working this company. Please don't join them there are a lots of good companies across Toronto.

My views of Paragon have completely changed when I was put into contact with Sathiya Gugathasan. He made sure that I was provided the necessary tools in order for me to achieve my goals. I've never felt more comfortable with any other security company until now and I feel secure by their extensive care for their employees.

They post jobs on indeed are totally fake, I applied and called them after applying. They called me to come office next day. When i went on the 2nd day, After wasting my fare,3 hours in travelling and waiting for 1 hour, they said the job we posted need police foundation course and other job we h are unable to reach by bus. And they suggested Better you to get a job as labour in amazon, they pay more 15.90 .. So overall Thats what they have for me.. Old Guy with pony tale....

Second incident, I called rishabh named guy by looking at their Indeed post for lakeshore condo security, I even mentioned that now I have my own car and can commute easily so this time they give new excuse that they are not hiring anybody from brampton and looking from nearby. May be they want to hire somebody's from the same building or the residents.

The management is very corrupt. Especially Sasha Stojic and Chris Sullivan. They are totally sleeping in bed with the union. They cheat and lie to try and replace employees. After you finish your probationary period, they steal from you by not giving you full coverage for your medications. Despite many complaints against him, the scheduler Tony Marrow refuses to take any blame for anything.

Awful Company, very unprofessional. No Communication ...I was at the Scarborough Rib fest with my dog and we were only at the rides with my nephew. ..one supervisor told me its ok to go in with her...we were no way close to the food area. In a short period of time I had 3 guards came up to me to tell me no dogs..I told them the head guard at the front told me its ok. This big overweight supervisor name Nick who suppose to be in charge no uniform no identification with a heavy greek accent from Paragon came up to me demanding I leave he verbally abuse me and belittle me in from of my family. He even went up to a female guard and was screaming at her why I was let in .. very unprofessional..is this who you have representing your company. When I ask his name he refuse to give his name to me. I understand no dogs allowed. .but she is working dog....her tags are on her but I don't walk with her papers he demanded to see them and basically told me and my sister and my little nephew to get out. He should be dismissed from duty not a professional person on a power trip. . .You would think I had broken the law or something the way this guy was carrying on. Are these the people you are hiring Paragon? You are that desperate? I will be messaging CP24 as well.

I applied for the job in this company in which their demand was of full time employee. I went for 1 written test, 2 interviews on different days, one day of online training and one day of in class training. I was hired after this long process just for random shifts and random sites (No full time job though it was their demand in job posting). Even after accepting this, I didn't get 1 shift within first 15 days. I resigned there after as I got other job.

We're stuck with these guards at our apartment complex, I was going to complain to the company that they do nothing, but there's obviously no point. This seems to be cheap option, you get what you pay for and no one cares:(
Update to this, I am seeing some more actual security work being done, guards are doing actual rounds. Let's see if it continues.
