Nice place, only place serving food on Christmas Day. Snowshoe was fun to walk.
Nice place, only place serving food on Christmas Day. Snowshoe was fun to walk.
My seven year old liked the arcade, but many of the machines were broken. My kids both liked the pool, but being stuck outside the pool for 8 minutes because the electronic lock was broken wasn't great. Staff tried to help, but they couldn't, and the solution was to wait until someone inside openness the door to exit.
It is nice, but there is a disconnect between the price and the experience delivered.
Beautiful resort with endless activities to do. Rooms and Service are fantastic and well kept! Although we are only a couple of hours from home, we feel as though we are further away because of the amenities offered and all the out of town guests we've met. We love Deerhurst Resort!
Deerhurst resort is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the outdoor activities. We stayed in a fully stocked suite with kitchen. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
Shuttle service and room service has been excellent. The evening magic show was entertaining for my younger kids. Everything was done fairly well only blemish I would say are the staff at the activity desk. When you ask for recommendations they just tell you here are our activites. Some must be better than others for example last year I went to Fern Resorts near casino Rama the staff there would go try pickle ball or archery before rock climbing based on what we they think would suit our family. The worst was they told me golfing for guest after 4 pm was lower price when I remembered reading it was free. I went to the golf pro shop and they confirmed it was free. They just need to get the girls working at that desk seem to care more than their cell phones. The room service boy was great I asked for sponges and paper towels. He was like sponge no problem but we have no paper towels would those table/wash cloth for kitchen do? Also he noticed I had a big family staying and he asked me if I needed a bigger pot. That was what I call service if the girls at the activities can learn from the service boys on being proactively helping resort guest it would want to make me come back more often.
Didn t stay, but denying refunds when people are advised not to travel for the safety of the country is reprehensible. Why do businesses feel entitled to take and keep someone s money when the service was not used due to GOV safety advice? Shameful . Greedy.
Stayed at the Lakeside Lodge (pay the extra) and played the Highlands. Course is in solid shape - not pristine - but it s been a tough year. Had dinner at Eclipse and the lamb was fantastic. Great getaway
Just arrived for a short vacation to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and so far we are very please with the friendly helpful service from Lisa C and Natalie at the Maple Pub &Patio and so far we love the resort as it is beautiful here.
Looking forward to an amazing time with my beautiful amazing wife of 35 years as we spend a few great few days here
Beautiful place, but the menu is very limited. There's only one meal that is standard fare, and it's the most expensive (sirloin); most of the menu involves shared plates, so it's not great for sitting and dining unless you want family style, and you are able to all agree on for.
Attended for a wedding. Staff went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic day for the happy couple. Lovely!
Stayed in the bay shore building which had stunning views but was not connected to the main hotel where the pool and all activities are. But there is a shuttle you can call and it normally comes in 5 minutes or less. Loads for kids to stay entertained. Nice extended weekend break.
Awesome retreat for young families. Indoor bouncy castle, treehouse, Rock climbing, swimming pool, snowshoe, skii, ice skate. So much to do..
A piece of garbage ...this should not be called a folf course dont go
Excellent rooms in main building. Great waterfront with sports available. More chairs and waterfront space needed to accommodate all guests.
Really clean and still a lot of activities ties open in a safe manner
Great resort has improved alot over the years, just keeps getting better
Had dinner in the main dining room. Kids loved he buffet. Tenderloin, duck broth and trout were great. Cream brulee as well, aside from 1 portion being smaller than the other 4.
Would definitely go again. Much better than grand view
Very nice place for family had a good time room was clean and comfortable very accommodating staff
Stopped by with my mom for a beer and a snack at the lobby bar. Loved our beers and the food was vegan friendly. I always appreciate when the staff and kitchen accomodate vegans. Great spot to grab a quick bite and beer.
We had a good time staying at this place. Its not worth the price tag but its what it is. The restaurant was pretty good. We had mussles and chicken burgers and the people both at the reception and restaurant were friendly. Its COVID so can't expect everything to be perfect. Amenities were closed for the season. But the golf course is good to play freesbie.
Beautiful resort but pricey for cottage country. Great food and drinks. Decent service. Check your bills and keep your original gratuity receipts.
Every staff member I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Had a great time.
Peaceful, something for everyone, family oriented, very scenic.
Went here for my birthday and had a great time. The scenery is beautiful around this resort and food in the area is affordable. The food/service in the resort was expensive as to be expected with any resort. During COVID there is an additional 15% charge on top of the tax they already have. There were several safety precautions in place to ensure minimal contact which was great. Would definitely come back to this resort.
Amazing food, friendly staff and awesome activities.
Stayed at Summit location. Kitchenette is amazing. Water facilities are great for kids.
Room is amazing, view is beautiful and the food is great. The staff is very friendly and the hotel itself is gorgeous.
Large but quaint-feeling cabin-style resort with all of the expected amenities. On-site 9 and 18-hole golf, near the charming town of Huntsville.
Stayed at the resort for a couple of days this past week. Overall I was a bit disappointed.
The Good: The staff were all really friendly. Everyone from people at the front desk, a few restaurant staff that passed by, staff working outside or cleaning the rooms, all were really nice and always said Hi and were greeted very kindly.
The Bad: We stayed in a Lodge suite, prepared to go to bed the first night, and it was either the heating to the building or something else mechanical, but basically there was a large rumbling of machinery on the other side of our bedroom wall. My wife said it sounded like a rocket being launched. And it pretty much was like that for 2-3 hours, and it stopped for a bit, and came back on with a lower rumbling but still very loud. Couldn't fall asleep till 3:30AM-4AM that night cause of the rumbling. I should have called the front desk but didn't want to switch rooms so late at night. The next night the sound was completely gone.
Besides that, just little things about the room which weren't the best that you would expect from a lower grade hotel/motel, like the towels being really tough or when we went to do the express checkout over the phone we realized neither of our phones worked so we had to go to the front desk instead.
Other than that the resort itself was nice.
Horrible service, $350 per night room which looks and feels like motel room, old and dusty. Room was not made during the day, although we asked twice. Go somewhere else in beautiful Muskoka, don t waste money at Deerhurst.
Great place to escape the city. Friendly staff. The rooms were also nice and comfortable.
Renovations are almost complete and the resort looks better. Fun place for a couple of days.
Employees need to wear anti- odour sweat perspirants!
Exceptional experience. Courteous and helpful staff. Bravo
Great room (stayed in Summit building). Went skating on lake, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and swimming. All facilities were wonderful. Kids (5 and 7) had a fantastic time and already want to go back next year.
Beautiful resort and scenery. Everything within walking distance and minutes from Huntsville to grab anything you forgot back home!
Dated and expensive for what you get. Most activities require additional $$. Daily resort fee $75 gives access to canoes and kayaks only.
Amazing place. We stayed in the summit rooms. They rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious. The meeting rooms were very well set up and the artwork adorning the walls was amazing.
Very dated , rooms are nice and large however plumbing is terribly loud / faucets need to be replaced
Staff are super friendly but not knowledgeable of the building, at the front reception desk we used ping paddles but were asked where the table was , another reception person did not know where the stables were
Everything was almost good except nobody care about cleaning the resort!
never use pool facility during the high season! it's a total mess.
Decent food. Beautiful view. Didn't like that my hotel was a 10 min walk from the resort.
The resort is located in beautiful Muskoka area, close to Algonquin Provincial Park. There are various activities in the resort and around it: golfing, hiking, canoeing, fishing. A typical apparent has tv and DVD player, a fridge and microwave. In the main resort building you can find a good restaurant, an art exhibition. Concerts are frequently held there as well.
Golf. Zip lines. ATV off road tour. Paintball. Spa. Restaurants. Nice rooms Etc etc.
I was given the hot stone massage and facial with paraffin hand and feet massages. Both were amazing. Wonderful time
They are wonderful staff from when you check in, to assisting with your needs, they also have Pet Friendly Rooms. I brought my 100lbs. Rottweiler with me in a king size bed, balcony and all the amenities! Wonderful week away!
Awesome getaway. Lots of activities for the kids on beautiful Penn lake.
On our three week tour of Canada, this was by far the worst accommodation. The website and the price level could definitely hope for better. The building in which our room was located (Bayshore) seemed to be by far the oldest building in the huge hotel complex. The lobby and elevator felt like they had left their best years behind them. Our room was no different. The room was not clean. The armchairs and a pillow were dirty, several long hairs in the bed and in the bath, the floor in the bathroom was dirty and in the air conditioning was a lot of dust and old chips leftovers, so you almost came from the air came out there. When we reported this to the front desk and asked for another room, we could not help because the computer system did not seem to work. On our renewed request for another room we were assured that they would contact us, but nothing happened. When we re-registered after the first night, we apologized and got a $ 100 meal voucher. Otherwise, the food in the "compass" restaurant was delicious and the room was big enough with a nice lake view, but under our door was a 5cm slit through which the light and noise from the hallway into the room could penetrate. It must be said very clearly that the recreational facility at the lake is definitely designed more for families with small children. With the beautiful nature of Canada and the access to the park that unfortunately had little to do.
Fantastic experience. Staff were amazing, the food is great and the rooms were comfortable
Lots to do and very scenic, staff was very friendly and helpful!
Not as wonderful as all the hype. Internet not reliable. Lots of construction noise. Many buildings tired and worn.Breakfast good and wait staff great!
Very nice rooms and the breakfast buffet was fantastic.
One of our favorite resort in Muskoka. This is our second visit and will visit again. The breakfast buffet is awesome. The restaurants in the resort is also good especially Maple pub.
Beautiful resort. Treetop trekking is right around the corner and was a great time! Eclipse is a fantastic restaurant, with amazing staff. Highly recommended for anyone coming through the Huntsville area
Stayed at the three bedroom condo it was fantastic. Too bad the winter wonderland part did not come thru this year. Not the resorts fault
I came here for a two day conference and had a pleasant visit. My favourite part was the catering - would definitely recommend for any event. Though I had little time to enjoy the room and amenities, these aspects seemed well taken care of as well.
Beautiful place to visit. A must see. Loved the staff and all of package including the spa !
Sunday morning's breakfast buffet is worth traveling for!
Very accommodating and customing dinner options to our needs
So far rocky. My daughter in law called reception and asked the operator how to book some activities. My daughter in law could not hear the operator that well and asked her to please repeat herself. The operator came back with a very sarcastic response, and my daughter in law told her that she will not be spoken to in the sarcastic manner .
It's an amazing place! The only thing is that it's a little on the expensive side but everything else I absolutely loved so I would give it a 5 star!
Amazing Resort. Awesome Activities. Great Accommodation Options Available.
Great golf, restaurant Kinda pricey.... par for the course in Muskoka
Hotel staff at reception and Maple bar were very friendly and helpful. Room was very Nice and easily accessible. Would give 5 stars but we came down for Muskoka Brewery tour, but didnt receive very much information from the hotel and ended up driving 40mins to brewery only for it to be closing. Otherwise an excellent time and meals were very good. Would recommend
Was a great resort would recommend it to anyone looking at staying there!!!!
Staff jumps on your requests right away, amenities are great.Entire place was clean and well groomed. Rooms were spacious and had a very cottage like feel. Beds were cozy and we all slept great.
Nice abit pricey no breakfast for the money you pay per night. Reasonable pub prices. Beds very comfy and nice sleep. Concert at hotel you dont have to leave, booked in june and just had to change from king to double so they charged me n
More, and they take out first payment. The resort fee is 30.00 really that should be included.
Friendly staff, excellent location, peaceful and very comfortable place to stay.
Love the number of activities the resort provides year round. There is always something to do and the restaurants serve simply amazing food. There are also some good discounts for members.
Awesome Family experience with the right price and very comfortable accommodations.
The kitchenette was a pleasant surprise as it had just about everything a normal kitchen would caryy plys the appliances were in very good condition. Bonus was that it was only 2.5 hours from home.
Excellent resort, customer service and great location. Pavillion rooms could use updating.
