Great resort, I emailed ahead time to see what amenities were affected by covid and the season change since we came after Thanksgiving weekend. I was aware what was closed and that check in was at 4pm and they couldnt accommodate earlier for cleaning reasons. We showed up pretty well right at 4pm and there was probably 6 other cars waiting to be checked in. We called and someone was out in probably 10mins or less, didn't feel like much of a wait for us at all. We stayed in the Summit Lodge in a king suite with a golf view, the room was gorgeous had everything we needed. There was a coffee crisp in the freezer that we figured wasnt a welcome gift but no big deal. You could smell that the room had been cleaned just walking in and unlike other reviews it was well cleaned in my opinion. I had asked for extra towels and high floor, quiet area when we booked and they were all accommodated. The golf view was gorgeous as was the grounds of the resort.

I was aware only 2 restuarants were open and when we checked in we went and wondered around and checked in at the resturants to see about reservations. Eclipse was booked up for friday and Saturday they said they only had 9pm open. Its understandable with a resort that size that the resturants would be full. We ended up going to maple pub Saturday around 7pm and were told it would be 45 min wait. I would say we only waited maybe 15 and were able to have drinks and bring them out to the fire on the patio while we waited. The food was great, service was great and all staff were friendly.

Also appreciate that the resort recognized a birthday we were celebrating in our welcome package as i mentioned in booking notes that the weekend was a surprise for my boyfriends birthday.

Checkout was seamless. The resort was quiet but that exactly what we hoped for during our weekend away.

Would love to come back when we could go out on the lake.

Nice stay and a nice place. Hard to grade the many amenities as i was there in winter/early spring. Lovely spa. I will have to go back in summer to really experience everything they have to offer.

We had their falafel wrap. It was delicious and came with a side salad. Prices are resort prices. The outdoor patio is surrounded by lovely flowers and scrubs. The view of the lake and golf course are magnificent. A very peaceful setting.xo.

Can t say enough good things about Deerhurst Resort. From check in all the way to check out. The accommodation was incredible, the view, the dinner at the eclipse was amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The only downside was not having been here sooner! Can t wait to come back! Thank you

Overpriced rooms overpriced food that gave me the runs. I'll never stay there again , cost over 1200 for 2 days for room and food. 80 bucks for 2 kids and 2 adults to eat breakfast
There's no free parking or free internet like they claim. It a 30 dollar a day charge for that even tho there web site says it's free. After seeing all the good reviews on here I'm thinking there posting great reviews for themselves. Don't believe it

Classy place, G8 summit was held here once, great views and good golfing, skiing in the winter months, generous companies have their employee Christmas parties here, mine did. A great time to be had here at this world famous resort.

All around horrible experience. After a 2 hour drive to the resort we were informed that the price given to us over the phone by their employees was no longer the same price, infact an additional $140 per night was added, we were also told on the phone we could pay cash, then upon arrival told we couldn't this led to a half an hour of us standing around waiting for them to figure out how to accept the cash they said they would. Through out the week there we were treated terribly, no clean towels, cups and only had the bed cleaned once in 4 days. We were forced to change rooms because of their mistakes, told to " take an uber home " because we had had a few drinks ( which I assume they weren't about to pay for) . Oh and just so everyone knows- pet friendly doesn't actually mean pet friendly, our new rooms patio was covered in glass, that we pulled out of our puppies mouth, then after complaining so they would clean- we go back and glass is still there - it took 3 times complaining and a trip to the store to purchase our own broom in order to have the glass removed . Every single staff member told us different information when we asked a question in regards to where our puppy could go on the resort ( some said yes to the beach and pool deck while later others said no ), which led to lack of information given and once again us getting a hard time from the staff. Not once were we informed about check in or out time, locations for the beaches, trails, breakfast or anything else on the resort just a simple yes your puppy is allowed on all beaches and pool decks or no he can't be anywhere besides the room. We were not refunded money for the room they downgraded us to due to their mistakes and continually had attitude in regards to all questions we did have. When I complained about the service we were receiving the manager proceeded to slam the door behind the desk, while the receptionist was left there to lie and say it was because of the " noise from the vacuum" .. ya .. I'm sure. We certainly will not be returning to this resort and I don't recommend it to anyone else either. although the land, spa staff and beaches are awesome... the main hotel staff was completely ignorant, unprofessional, irresponsible, incapable of working and down right awful. I sure hope the puppy is okay because I have a funny feeling if he's not they won't be paying his vet bill. This resort in my opinion doesn't even deserve one star. Think carefully before choosing this location for a relaxing getaway especially if you plan on bringing a pet.

Parking was easy and clear. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. They were able to answer all dietary questions about the food in a timely manner. The location is easy to get to but the road is torn up in a few places leading up to it.

Stayed for a mini vaca, February 2019 and very much enjoyed our time here. The pool/hot tub area was great with both water features set at a good temperature. Got a massage in the spa and used the steam room which was awesome on this super cold weekend. The little arcade was a lot of fun even for 2 adults. Food was ok but not amazing and it was so cold some of the amenities were not available but we didn't mind that much. We stayed in one of the recently renovated suites with a separate bedroom and kitchen which worked out perfectly for us. Room was nice and modern. Would come here again.

Very disappointed . The room was clean and tidy but just average. Not what I expected a 5 star hotel to be. The dinner was also just average.
We could have stayed in a quaint road side motel and had dinner at "Three Guys and a Stove" for less than what it cost at Deerhurst.

Quite an experience. Spent the weekend for a wedding. The food on at the restaurant was inedible, but Stephanie handled it like a pro and took care of us. Headed outside for night cap around 9pm, I went to bar to order some drinks and the bartender says no dice, I have to walk the other side of the resort. Head over to the other side, same deal, bartender says I have to get it from the other side. Back we go to the other side and I ask the manager where I can get a beverage and she points me to the bar I started at. We referred to her as Susan for the rest of the night, this woman looks like she hates her job at all times. I let her know I just tried to get a drink there 20 minutes ago and was told its closed. She's super unimpressed I'm asking her where to get drinks, obviously she's having a bad day. I walk back to the bar and order a beer for the 3rd time, bartender tells me no dice again she's done serving. I'm so confused, I ask the manager again she's 10/10 annoyed I've asked her again where to get a beer, as are we. She shouts across to the bartender and tells her to get us a drink and she just flat out says: I'm done serving, I already told them and walks away from the bar! Sue comes behind the bar now, asks another girl to get us a drink, she's equally bitter for some reason. Nobody wants to get us a drink. My pregnant girlfriend just wants an ice tea. Susan looks like she's going to rip someone's head off. Now its super awkward as were ordering, bartender hates life. I try to order two beers and make life easy, literally says no I can't have two beers. There's 4 of us, so I ask for a pitcher and gives us the green light. Finally getting somewhere, 30 minutes have passed, I ask what's on tap and she tells me to read the wall! Flash forward to the next night, we go to the bar by the restaurant so we don't see Susan. There's 6 of us getting ready to head into the wedding, so we try to order some vodka bombs, not allowed. We order a shot of fireball for all of us, 12 shots. $120 with tip, big toast, now on to the wedding. Doesn't Susan come in like a tornado, giving us the gears and tells us there's no shots allowed, and she just watched us do two. Makes herself super clear and says if she see's us with another shot we're done. I'm floored, couldn't believe it. It was the running joke for the night. Bunch of grown men getting a ton of attitude from this girl. Probably didn't help the wedding was full of bar owners, but regardless it was probably one of the most embarrassing customer experiences we had all witnessed. Don't even get me started on the waiter we had at breakfast. We asked if we could change tables and this guy literally says UGH and walks away! We sat around the wedding table and all we could talk about was how miserable some of this Susan woman was. I guess I'd be pretty foul if I worked for Susan too

Wedding venue was beautiful, Stephanie was a pro, our waitress on Friday was a saint. Super nice, super polite. Susan was embarrassing, I feel bad for her. Check this resort out if you want to feel unwelcome.
