Fantastic selection of sports gear and very helpful staff

Like a candy shop. Go in for one thing and you come out with much more than you went in for!

I've been here with friends and this does look like a shop I would spend a lot of time in - if I did any sport. It's very spacious, well laid out, prices look reasonable (not that I would know) and there's many staff members around to ask for help.

Good shop if you like activities and sports. Which I do. They have more stuff than you could ever imagine that you might need but once you see it you'll convince yourself that you've needed it for ages. All of it.

It's a very busy store. You can't fault the staff for their helpfulness, which I guess has a lot to do with the company policies. I'm very happy with how they dealt with my problem.

Camping gear: If you're after cheap and cheerful, this is the place to go. I was disappointed with the selection of good quality items however, so only left with a canister of butane.

Big store with great selection and great prices. Self service worked fine for me.

This is another big Decathlon store and comes with all the benefits of this brand, as in huge range of sports products at reasonable prices.

This branch is easy to get to, as it is a short walk from Canada Water tube station.

Staff have been very helpful on the couple of occasions that I shopped here.

If you need anything for sports, or for a festival this is the place to go.

Brought a Chistinania cargo bike there for a urgent cable replacement and was refused service because the bike was 'too big'. Not because they didn't have the skills or expertise but simple because was too big. Not a great a way of treating customers...

It was so easy to find what I was looking for, not to much people, so lovely

tried saving the labour cost to put on the stabilizers for my children bike, old bolt got stuck really bad. took back to the workshop, was expecting to pay to get that bad screw removed, the Chinese technical tried really hard and removed that rusty bolt. Didn't charge me anything. very helpful! really appreciate the service!

We wanted to buy ski boots and a bicycle today but couldn't find any available staff near either section. We'll probably come back as Decathlon is usually great value but it shouldn't be that difficult to part with cash. The new underground parking facilities are very convenient.

Always a huge range of sports gear to choose from wih plenty of bargains. I get all my outdoor gear here as prices are competitive.

Never got anything you needed even when the website states in stock from all departments.

We are looking for a scooter at Decathlon Surrey Quays we have looking for one scooter for 3 days and on the fourth one we go there and they say it is not in stock but when we look online they say there's none in stock

I bought a bicycle two months ago, it was my first one, i was badly advised, after that time I realised that s not what I was looking for so i decided to get a new bicycle so I popped in the store, a guy promised me to get me a contact with his manager who wasn t there most of the time, I described my situation in a piece of paper but no one sent me an email or ring me over the phone, i called decathlon Surrey quays for a refund or exchange because the bicycle still new and it s a 365 days to return I ve been trying now for two days but no answer, costumer service is bad.

I shopped twice and additional products I didn't take were added!
After paying attention they paid the money!

Everything else is ok

This is a great place to shop, brilliant staffs. Love this place. They are so helpful some of the staffs. Massive place and cheap...it's nice to go somewhere where you can find cheap but quality stuff. I bought swimwear for the kids and football stuff for my son. All within a reasonable pricing.

Big day out in Surrey Quays ish...Transport connections good but no connection from New Cross since start of Corvid ...go to New Cross Gate for train ..helpful staff managed to find my wanted items and a very neat check out system made my shopping trip to Decathlon fun ..

The number of things you want to buy is not complete, it may be too hot

Got an electric bike lights stop working I rode it 3 times max they said I had hit it which I didn't but thought no problem I'll pay to get things moving anyway I accepted the charges that took them 6 weeks to get the right part in and fix it not good slow after sales service

Be careful, you can lose hours in here. I mainly shop for running stuff. Reasonable quality for great prices.

New store, experience ruined. Everything is a mess, they have thousand varieties of a few products but didn't have bike wheels in stock or wheel hubs with bearings, despite having 3 according to the online website. It looks like a jungle, people riding bicycles everywhere inside, playing football (and a kid in the opposite corridor was hit by a ball). The only good thing I can see is the automatic checkout system.

Only giving 4 star because Nothing is in stock since Covid outbreak, otherwise this store is every athletes dream place to visit. Adding an upper floor makes all the difference. Go there; explore, you'll love it

My first decathalon experience.
This branch is located just by the water, when you come and visit you can feel that you are in the countryside.
Oh, and great price's by the way.

As a big store they are really busy, so that means that service may not be as good as in other branches. It's true that if you ask for help they would be polite and just say that they are busy at the moment. Otherwise, is also important to say that the stock they have is really good quality and not expensive. Recently I've been able to order a bike (during covid) and I received it sooner than I expected. Despite everything, they do a good job!

I had my bike repaired by Xavier.He was super professional and repaired my bike even if he had to work over time for this.He also checked the wheel for additional problems and provided a wonderful service.
I really recommend the place

Possibility to buy quality products at attractive prices

Waited 10 mins as the first person in the que for the bike workshop, only to be told I had to book a bike repair online. A simple sign would have saved me the hassle, or a simple hi sir we are taking bookings online only no need to stand there like a plum. Buying a new bike for my daughter was a good part of the experience, that went smoothly. The bike workshop was a big pity.

Quality products at very nominal prices. Also, the staff is very friendly and they also have a loyalty program as of date.

You are treated as a shopIifter when you purchase a bike from in-store.

I showed my ID and was given clearance for the bike. When I was about to exit, I was told to go back to the reception and bring a signature. Is that how a customer should be treated?

I haven't come across any shop in UK that requires signature on a receipt to prove your purchase.

This store has most sporting and outdoor goods. The prices are very good, but the store tends to stock average (and below) quality goods.
I have purchased tents and camping gear that has survives numerous festivals, and the gym clothing I've purchased has worn well considering what I paid for it.
Overall, you get what you pay for in this store. If you're chasing the best of quality, this store is not for you, but if you need good prices and plenty of range, this is a great store.

Took my bike for a full service to the Canada Water Decathlon bike shop this week and they deserve a good review. The three guys I dealt with were friendly, generous with their time and professional. It was more expensive than I expected More

Good store with pretty much all you need for beginner/intermediary level sports and outdoor hobbies.

Would be improved if things were better signed. I was looking for something rather specific and as it s a rather large store, signs above the aisles like a supermarket detailing what is down there would have been helpful as currently there are only signs for hunting , football , running etc.

So I used this store to fit a new tyre to my bike, as the old one was just about hanging together. After being told the process (find the tyre you want to fit then get the guys to fit it), I was well impressed with the prices.

Leaving the store I decided to try the new wheel out and cycle home (approximately miles), and just as I got home the tyre exploded.

I immediately phoned the store and spoke to Miguel (the team lead/manager), who told me I would have to bring the bike back to re-fit a new tyre; so I had to walk back to the store. Upon arrival I asked to speak to Miguel, as he was my only point of contact; to which he refused to speak to me and told one of his staff to re-fit the tyre.

The guy that performed the work was extremely helpful, and pointed out that the tyre that I had chose was the wrong size and the job was turned around very quickly.

The issue that I have with this place is the complete lack of customer service from the team lead, and the complete disparity of work performed e.g. if it was that obvious the tyre was the wrong size why was it not picked up by the first guy.

The other issue that I have is the quality of products sold. Since having this tyre fitted I have been told by 2 other mechanics that the tyre is extremely thin and advised to get a new one.

The morale of this story is, although they are cheap you get what you pay for; and you might have to pay extra to get their work re-done.

Ren fitted a bike rack and baby seat mount onto my bike. It was a tricky job and she was amazing. Professional, diligent and extremely helpful, I couldn't recommend her highly enough. Great store but make sure you ask for Ren to fix your bike. She's a real pro.

Tried to by bike there but that didn't happen service not very good

They have a large range of sports equipment and there staff are reasonably knowledgeable about the sports equipment they offer so I would say check them out in store or online.

Overpriced bike servicing, but other aspects are good.

The best Dacathlon I have ever entered. It has everything, good prices and very well organized.

It has lots of diffrent things like boats ,golf clubs, archery, fishing and you can have a little go at some golf but if you had to do something to say about what you would put in it would be nothing it's GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Covid has impacted operations so what used to be a great shopping experience is less so now, with no fault of their own. Longer, traffic control... And very hot inside. That could be improved, especially in this hot weather. That said this is the largest decathlon and nicest in my view. If you need one, this is the one to go to.

This place has always got me excited like a little child opening up a birthday present! They have so many things to choose from, and is also a learning experience for me every tine I visit. They have a large selection of things and many sports equipment and accessories to choose from. Been there many times, and will continue to visit them as long as they are trading!

Huge selection of sports equipment from Bikes to mountain climbing can even test out the Bikes inside of the shop the prices are also very good for the quality of their products.

Great store; unhelpful staff. You would think with all the negative comments here, they would have prioritised customer service. But no.

Bit of a poor selection currently compared with the old shop, this is due to redevelopment of the area, I hear there is a new shop coming once the development has finished

At this time it's not great. They have areas closed off due to covid but yet still allowing kids etc to play around with things.
I mean anyone wanting to buy a new basketball for example would find it hard to find one that hasn't been bounce all round the shop.
Stock in areas like the fishing section is terrible with shelfs etc empty for weeks of products.
Been in there at least once or twice a week since they have reopened and a lot of items have been out of stock/not on shelves the whole time.
Maybe they do have the stock and staff are not restocking. Either way the same items are missing from shelves day/week in and day/week out..
The security is also not very enforcing regarding the amount of people who are let in at a time and also stopping people walking in the exit instead of the entrance door etc.

Clean shop, good customer service, they've got a quite good selections of clothes for all type of sport very reasonable priced.

Great store! I found very cheap but super good quality earphones and a very comfy backpack. You can find all you need from camping equipment to things for any type of sport. And the staff is lovely, smiling and helpful. I definitely recommend Decathlon if you like simple and ergonomic stuff.

I have been there today and realised that they do not follow the COVID-19 regulations set by the government which is very very important as they have way too many people visiting their store! There wasn't any sanitizer available and I had to go to the customer service to inquire about it and they finally took out some hand sanitizer and put just one at the gate! Shame on them!

Dear Sir or Madam,
My son ordered a tent box to be collected from Staines Store, his order has been fraught from the getgo, being told it was being delivered when in fact he requested a collection, having not given his address don't see how one could of delivered said order!. On collection today, the box did not have all it's component parts, the box was too small to contain the missing items. My husband duly returned to said Staines Store, I spoke with a young man called Mathew who has not telephoned me with a remedy. My son is Autistic, and is showing signs of great distress regards this order. My husband was question by the manager of the shop that almost borders on rudeness that we are at fault. He needs this for his fishing trip this evening I am totally shocked by the complete disregard for my son's dilemma, and would appreciate a remedy PDQ. This is not what I would call reasonable way to offer customer care to your purchasers. At present your on line info is saying phones are down, I have also left a message on another mobile at Surrey Quays apparently your head office and still no response.

Incredible selection of goods on offer, but stock can often be limited. Check your item is in store before visiting.

The store is great, pretty much every sport is available here and it seems they manage to have an "expert" on each sport. The prices are also very reasonable.
The bike repair area is horrible, take your bike to an independent store instead. The price will be the same and the service will be much better.
For this reason, I unfortunately have to rate the store 3 stars. For the shop alone, it would be 5, but they really need to work on their bike repair standards.
