They have been harassing me sending letters & calling saying, I AM DECEASED! ME. The one typing this RIGHT NOW! Saying I've been declared dead and they need to talk to someone in charge of my estate like WTF. Talking to my lawyer soon because to see what we can do and get them to stop calling
I had an okay experience with DCM Services. My mom had a Toyota auto loan with some outstanding balance. There was nothing in the estate so there wasn t a way to pay it, and they said that was okay and that they d update the file and let Toyota know. They made it a point to let me know I m not personally responsible which was nice cause I was scared I had to pay it out of the checking account I had with her. The only thing that was frustrated and that I can see other people s problem with was at the beginning of the phone call. They kept asking me if I was handling the final affairs for my mom and I kept saying i m her daughter and take care of everything but they would only say like the same thing until I just said yes. It felt really shady but then once I said that it was totally fine.
If someone close to you passes away leaving behind significant property that could be used to settle potential debts of the deceased, then be sure to contact a probate attorney to help administer the estate. The agent at DCM services was very well mannered and offered a reasonable settlement.
Scam artists. They think they are going to be able to collect debt on my recently deceased mom. Think again you subhumans. Nobody in our family is legally responsible for any debt under her name, and we will never pay you a penny for anything that is under her name.
Edit: And what's with the other reviews? The profile pictures from the one-star reviews look like normal people, but the profile pictures from all the fake 5-star reviews all look like creeps.
Tried to tell my Mom there was an outstanding debt they were asked to collect from the hospital where my father died. A call directly to the hospital confirmed that they are a SCAM OPERATION.
There are no unpaid debts so there is no reason to contact me. AFter reading these reviews, the letter goes into the trash. Thanks for the heads up.
Apparently this is a collection agency for the deceased , fortunately I am very much alive, my debt with kohls went into this collection agency, I have called made a payment with no results, last person I spoke to missy explained to me that she would mail out a payment form when I followed up, I was told that's not what they do. Never received any login or pin to set up an account no service link .?????? Sent a 100 dollar payment has not been applied, course if you dont have a pin,service link, account number how do you apply the payment . I would like my 100 back as I see now that I am with another agency
There's an informed delivery at her place. Never received a bill nor call at all and a collection agency is sending what to estate of deceased 3+ months later?!? Possible medical coverage?? Learn proper billing protocol: direct bill in a timely fashion describing service provided, wait for payment, call, THEN collect. Jump the gun, unprofessional, inconsiderate, cowardly, greedy introduction to the grieving. Very appalled.
Absolute vultures. My parents both passed away this year, my Dad just in November. A very minimal American Express balance was sent to DCM when I closed out his account, which I will pay in full when the estate closes out. I've told DCM this on the first phone call. But they continued to call, late into the evening, getting pushier, sending letters. The LAST thing grieving families need to be dealing with is pushy, callous, predatory debt collectors when the estate hasn't even made it through probate and there's not even money available to pay these creatures.
If your company is considering contracting with DCM services, DO NOT do it. They will destroy your brand reputation with their disgustingly unethical business practices.
A Bunch of Scammers, look at the high reviews and you will see that there is nothing about a company experience. They are BS scammers preying on relatives of the recently deceased. They would not say what the bill was for so goodbye.

Clearly Scam Artist they are taking advantage of the death of my father and won't even say what the debt is. Please do yourself and others a favor and report them to ftc and your attorney general. These people are the worst kinds of people who prey on those grieving. Report them so they may see the pain they have caused others.
I am going to have to agree with Ian Logan. These people won't say what is owed and/or to who. They keep sending the same stupid letter that says the exact same thing, they send it, and send it. It didn't take me long to figure out this place is a joke and they prey on families in pain. Going bankrupt is too good for them they need to go to prison . This screams SCAM!! I didn t pay any attention to the letter I received regarding my Daddy passing away. First of all he owed nobody for anything! This should be stopped! I hope and pray other folks are made aware of these heartless idiots!
Everyone I have talked to about this confirms it's a scam. Shame on these people.
They attempt to scam estates into paying owed debts that relatives are not legally responsible for. They refuse to discuss what accounts are actually owed on. Just that there's money owed. I referred them to my attorney. This company needs to become bankrupt and at the rate of lawsuits they attain, that won't be far off.

They employ racist people. I had to deal with an employee from here...not because of debt but outside of the work place...racist. Let s just say I was told to go back to...I came from. Smh.
My mother passed away recently. This place had the gall to send a letter to the tenant of her former apartment. If they are trying to collect money, they will get none. My mother had no will, did not own her home, she owned no car, and now they send out this letter, saying they are trying to locate the person in charge of her estate. She had no estate! Stop sending letters! My mothers attorney said that she only had a living will, no will, no estate, so stop trying to prey on her descendents!

Harassing me over my dead husband's medical bills that I am NOT required to pay and insurance would have covered had IU health Methodist billed them before they killed him.
DCM Services fails to comprehend that my husband HAD NO MONEY and had NO LIFE INSURANCE!!!!!

I agree with everyone who know these guys are idiots. I would recommend contacting your state AG office and file a complaint against them. Also check with the Federal Trade Comm. to see if they can help you. BBB is also another important call to make. For myself, I am checking with a local tv station here in Charlotte,NC to see if they would like to do a story on "Probate Chasers".
I received a call from them after my wife passed away and demanding payment for an ambulance ride that had already been forgiven under the Cancer Relief Act. After the rep gave her usual legal jargon, even after initially refusing to identify herself, her demeanor changed from bully to neutral once she was informed that I was working with a high-powered attorney and then she abruptly ended the call even without taking down my attorney's info.
Obviously a scam I say when you get this letter fill the return envelope with as much paper as you can they will have to pay for it!! Senior Adult Abuse.....my mother purchased a mattress in 2017. It was very expensive. She paid for it with a credit card with no interest as long as she made the payments on time, which she did. The sales person Carlos Ramos, who is now a manager at the Sanford store told her that at her death the account would be paid off. My husband was with her and he heard the whole thing. She said why not. So she made the purchase. At her death I called Synchrony Bank and told them all of this. They put me on hold and looked it up and came back and said the account would be closed. I asked if they needed a copy of her death certificate. They said they did not it was a part of public records. I never received anything else in the mail on this account. Five months later and DCM which is Synchrony Bank collection company filed a claim against my Mom's estate. I have spent 2 days calling everyone from all parties. They don't care and no one is taking any responsibility. It is just so wrong for a salesperson to tell especially a senior adult this to make a sale and it all be a lie. It is also wrong for a store to allow this to take place. On top of that by talking to Synchrony Bank they get these calls all the time. It's wrong for a credit card company to know that people are being mislead and not do anything to stop it. Well my last purchase from Ashley Stores and I assume I need to go cancel some credit cards.
