I've shipped a few packages from here over the last few months. The gentleman I've worked with in the mornings was polite and quick to process whatever I brought in. I'll be going here for my shipping needs for the foreseeable future.

I personally brought a large box of 55 pounds from my office to this specific UPS location this morning @ 8:30am on 6/18/19 . I had a shipping label and everything ready, but was refused to drop off because the box was "too big." I was told to take the package back to my office and schedule with freight instead. All things that the employee did was correct. But the principle is that I had brought over this huge package with label ready and I had to bring it all the way back to the office to schedule a pick up. It is super inconvenient and all the employee had to do was take the package and schedule the pick up since its the same company! Very disappointed in this type of customer service.

For ground shipping, FedEx provides better service at a lower cost. I had been going to this UPS store when I thought UPS Ground was cheaper. One day, I was trying to ship a package and didn't have any tape. Having the store tape it up was going to cost $2. The clerk told me that it would cost the same if I did the taping using their tape. I wound up going to FedEx Office (on 14th between K and I), which charged less for the shipment and provided tape at no extra cost. I have been going there ever since.

Just got home after waiting 30 minutes for the UPS store to open - hours stated 9:00 - waited till 9:30 am with several other annoyed customers. Decided to leave after one customer said the same thing happened a month ago and it didn't open until 11:30 am. Need to find a different way to mail stuff.

Never have to wait long, first-class customer service, really really nice staff. Update: I paid for two months of mail-forwarding when I moved to Florida. They never forwarded my mail until the end of the two months when I called them and asked if I had any mail. They had no record of me paying for the mail-forwarding service, and they continuously called me for the next month after that to remind me that my mailbox was overdue. Each time I explained that I had moved to Florida and thus had no use for a mailbox in DC. Then I would get another call a few days later and I would go over it again.

I have never been more disappointed with a service...

I have never been more disappointed with a service provider in my life. I shipped a box across the country and the store attendant asked me if I wanted damage protection. I agreed and paid the fee, insuring my package up to $250. When the package arrived at its destination the box was beaten up, scarred, full of tears and holes. Many of the objects were badly damaged, including picture frames broken and pictures with huge rips in them. Not only did UPS refuse to honor my damage protection, but neither the local office nor corporate office gave a damn. It took me 3 MONTHS to get someone to acknowledge my claim. UPS chose to reject it for two reasons: (a) I packed the box myself, and (b) I used the "wrong" type of box. The problem with such an assessment is that I WAS NEVER TOLD that my "insurance" was meaningless if I'd packed the box myself nor that there was a "special" box I should be using. The staff at this store are negligent, irresponsible, and dishonest. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.

I have had all packages shipped to this UPS Store for nearly 10 years. The service has been excellent. The UPS staff have been pleasant, even when multi-tasking with several customers at once. The only challenge with this particular location is finding parking if you need to load/unload packages.

Alisha and her team are the best. They go above and beyond to make my mailbox and shipping needs easier. I have had a mailbox there for a couple years and have never been disappointed with the service.

Nothing but awesome customer service - every time! I have never been disappointed here. Fast and friendly processing of packages and the staff here takes the time to chose the best possible option for one to ship things. Love this UPS store :)

If you re not staying at the Marriott, they charge a $10 fee for drop off, even if you have a prepaid label and everything. As a DC resident, who paid the taxes for the building and services subsidies, I think it s ridiculous, especially because there s so much residential around there. Many locations offer free/discounted services like this, if you re a resident. I would have gone to a different location, but it was The closest location to my home, and I had to return medical equipment, as my husband is very sick, and I walked there, it would have been another 1+ miles to walk to the 4th and Mass location, when I needed to get home. Very disappointment that they ll treat vulnerable DC taxpayers in such manner.

The international package I sent was held in their warehouses for days without any updates. It cost much more than the post service USPS for package of the same weight, but the UPS speed is slower. When I purchased the label online, it shows estimated time is 4 days, but after I shipped, the estimated time changed to 12 days!

The female clerk was rude, crass, and presented with a hostile demeanor. I shipped a package to this location for my son to pick up. When he arrived to pick up the package, the clerk responded, I don t accept packages and we don t have it . I was on the phone with my son as he arrived to pick it up, and I explained to the clerk that I confirmed in advance that I could ship the package to that location prior to shipping. The clerk said again, I don t accept packages . When I asked if she could tell me where my package was, she replied, look it up yourself, you have the tracking number . When I reminded her that I was the customer, she repeated you can look it up just like I can!!! . She finally revealed that she refused my package and sent it back to the shipping location. Unbelievable!!!!

At least the original shipping location in Royal Oak, Michigan helped me to locate my package, offered service recovery, and refunded my money... thx Royal Oak UPS!

I waited a half outside for them to tell me that their "Amazon system just went down" and couldn't do anything. These guys are ridiculously slow. I've never had a problem with a UPS store like this.

I brought several packages to ship on dec 16. The person working here told me the first package would cost $40 to send to Florida by Christmas. I was shocked by the price and said I would just take the packages to the post office on Monday instead. The person told me that the UPS price was better than the post office price. I didn t believe her and I left with my packages. I went to the post office the next day and they charged me $5 to ship that package by Christmas. Don t use UPS. Use the post office and don t let the government privatize the postal service!!!!

I went there to ship some documents to an address ...

I went there to ship some documents to an address in a foreign country because the location is close to my office. I have sent to the address several times and that's why I noticed the price of this UPS location was surprisingly a bit higher than the other in, for instance, VA. The service of the attendant was OK except that he made me waiting while he talked on the phone with another customer. Later on the day I received email from UPS saying that a commercial invoice was missing from my parcel and the missing commerical invoice was causing a delay. I was contacted the next morning by UPS to supplement the information for the commercial invoice. The trouble could be saved if the attendant pays more attention to the information I filled in in the shipping form. He could remind me what information I missed so I could remedy it immediately. I will stick to the UPS near my home in the future.

Much like the Seinfeld clip, UPS knows how to TAKE...

Much like the Seinfeld clip, UPS knows how to TAKE your Next Day Air money, but doesn't know how to DELIVER your Next Day Air letter.

The one time I need something delivered the next day, UPS can't seem to deliver (in more ways than one). I purchased Next Day Air for an important letter to be sent to my Army Reserve unit, and despite a guaranteed arrival of 10:30AM the following day, it arrived 3 days late.
This caused a domino effect of headaches for a half dozen folks in three states...take that, interstate commerce! The worst of it, however, came as I tried to follow-up with UPS and this particular store...an experience best described as a mix of "Who's on First" and your everyday, run-of-the-mill Comcast customer service call.

After my package failed to arrive at the destination as promised, I called the main UPS number (we'll call them "HQ") and demanded a refund. Why pay $37 to send an "overnight" letter in 4 days when our friendly neighborhood USPS can do the same for less than 2% of the cost? While we're at it, I could have posted the letter on Amazon to sell, and my recipient could have purchased it and had free 2-day shipping...hindsight....

Anyway, HQ informed me that it was not their fault, but rather this specific UPS franchise (we'll call them "DC"). HQ then told me that I (the customer) had to call the franchise to get a refund...because HQ and DC DON'T USE THE SAME SOFTWARE/SYSTEMS, and therefore HQ couldn't help me with a refund. Great, thank you HQ...
So, a couple days later I finally get in touch with DC and ask about my refund, and they explained that since it was the fault of HQ (??), I would need to wait until their "investigation" was complete to ask for a refund. Good to see we're all on the same page... I explained that HQ said it was DC's fault, and DC snapped back that it was absolutely HQ's fault and they (DC) had to wait until HQ finished their investigation and sent any money back to DC.
I'm done dealing with DC at this point, so I immediately call HQ asking about the refund and explain what DC told me. HQ informed me that they had ALREADY SENT THE REFUND back to DC, and "perhaps DC needs to refresh their systems." And around and around we go...

I'll update this review once I get my refund, which will hopefully be before Christmas (of 2019). Moral of the story: there's a FedEx a couple blocks away, so get your steps in and go someplace else.

Great customer service!! I have packages delivered here since my new apartment building doesn't have a package room. I've also shipped from this store in the past. I highly recommend this location for either of these services.

Had a very bad experience, if you can I would recommend another UPS. I have rented text books many times and always return them to a UPS. NEVER have I been charged for tape to seal my box that I brought in with me. And on top of them charging me for a single piece of tap, they have to have a minimum of $5 to use a credit card, so I paid $5 for a piece of tape. That is just ridiculous. Won't be getting my business, do to the UPS on 15th instead!!
