Some of the best local history exhibits I have ever seen. Very professional and informative.

Been visiting periodically for nearly 5 decades. Always an excellent experience. They continue to update and improve the park.
Love this place. Educational, entertaining, good food.
Great place to share Daytons history..lots of special events and sharing of information. .
Here you can see the historic buildings and history of Ohio. After you have marveled at everything, you can also buy some souvenirs that are still available here.
Then they also have a bell tower there, which is nicely decorated as a Christmas candle at Christmas. And the best thing is, you can choose a tune that is available at the cash register, which you can then have played. It's a great idea.
So you can give your loved one a nice gift with it and surprise him with his favorite melody. Great idea.

Great park with a lot of local history! Great for Bald Eagle watch!
From the Lighting of the Carillon to the actual historical items they have on display at the Park it is worth the time and money to spend a day at the Carillon Historical Park.
Take a look at Some of the things to see here and you will understand why you may want to spend a day.
Culp's Cafe is open from spring to fall. And if that is closed go over to the Brewery and get yourselves a 1850 style beer or have some good food off there menu.
Go enjoy see some history and have fun doing it.
It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! Carillon Park is a beautiful family destination, especially around the holidays. A fabulous combination of glittering lights and Dayton history. The various historical buildings are chalk full of lessons and open in the evening during the holidays AND the weekend before
Thanksgiving!!! Thank you SO MUCH to all the volunteers who greet you and share their fabulous wealth of information!!! A must see and too much to see in one day. We must return. If you can come prior to the Christmas lights to take in some of the history. There is something for everyone. JOY
The grounds are beautiful. Lots of different buildings to explore. My only gripe was the cost of entry.
Nice open area, close to downtown. Nice musical bell chimes
Very neat place if you like history. Half is indoor as a museum and the rest is spread out and a perfect place on a nice day
Fantastically interesting history of all the impressive firsts from Dayton and Ohio.
Big enough to spend more than one day exploring, watching informative movies and listening to local experts. Food choices good and reasonably priced.
Don't hesitate. Your mind will be blown with the history that's a accumulated here. And leave time to eat at Culps cafe. Good food!
Wonderful historical park for sharing Dayton Ohio History. It has a great museum that tells the stories of our founding leaders, innovators, and inventors that changed the nation.
What a beautiful park to spend the day. New wonderful restaurant and brewery, love the local beers! The bell tower never fails to amaze me!
For years I had told myself I was going to stop by Carillon Park, but, for reason or another I never did. I finally decided to do so and was not disappointed. The museum/park does a wonderful of showcasing a time when Dayton was at the forefront of innovation and a very prosperous, industrial city. The staff was friendly and courteous and was especially excited to share about the bald eagle nest that is now in the park. If you have an interest in history, it is very easy to spend a day here wandering about; however, it may not be the ideal place for younger children. Aside from a carousel in the museum, a very simple, generic model railroad display, and a train ride (which is cool even for adults) there is not a great deal to capture their attention. Overall though, it was a terrific experience. If you plan on making multiple visits over the course of a year, it may be worth getting a membership as it will pay for itself within two visits.
A valuable opportunity to learn from other cultures and thus understand everything they see around Dayton.
Stopped to let my kids out for a moment it was nice.
Visited the place with a School field trip couple years ago. Just got pictures with my daughter on College graduation. Real beautiful area
Really enjoyed the museum. I learned a lot about the history of Dayton
This park is a true Dayton gem. The displays are beautifully maintained. All you need to know and appreciate Dayton history is within this park, and the nesting pair of resident Bald Eagles is icing on the cake.
This place is so neat.
It's like walking through history.
I enjoy going in the spring & summer and walking through all the different buildings.
Learning about the Wright Brothers & Dayton.
If history is something you're interested in, you should check it out!
If you have kids, it's an adventure for them.
They may not be too excited about the history of it, but they will enjoy walking through the trains, playing with the registers.
They have a kids area, a merry-go-round & and a little show about the history.
(The show might be a little spooky with the lights that flash and the characters).
Visited to see the eagles. Definitely will be going back.
This is an amazing place to take your kids or even without the kids !! Love it here
I go for the candy and stay for the historical actors. They also have they decent Pokemon go area if you're willing to get out of your vehicle
Don't leave without seeing the Original 1905 Wright Flyer III, the world's first practical airplane.
What a great place to see Christmas lights and enjoy some history at the same time. Everyone should go. Members get in for free.
If your in Dayton Ohio. This is a must stop location. The history shown here is fantastic. New exhibits are going up all the time. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and dressed in period costumes. I personally saw things and places I worked and played at 50 years ago.
A new exhibit going up is Barn 17. This Barn was at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. I kept my horses in this barn. I can t wait until they get it completed. I ve lived in Illinois for 45 years. Dayton is a great place to live and work. Thanks to all that have saved history.
A beautiful place and very interesting and Historic. Will have to go back.
Brought my family here and the kids had fun and learned about the history of our area. Fun and educational place for the whole family.
This gem is hiding in plane site right next to the University of Dayton. I'm from Dayton and went to UD, but didn't know if all the history here. We spent a day here at the Brewery (the only one in the country completely brewing their beer in the open for customers), the one room schoolhouse, the flood of 1913 building, Wright Brothers building, the clock tower, train transportation building, and I'm sure I missed something. Go check it out!
Wonderful place if you love history. There is also American Eagles there.
Wonderful place just oozing history! They are more than a little carried away with the admission charges though.
Great place to learn about history and Dayton Oh place in history from the Wright brothers to General motors
Interesting and fun- for young children and all ages... you can spend hours there.
A fun place to kids. Brewery was good if you like sour beers. It was the old Wright Brothers bicycle museum. Great German food options, lessons in how to make beer
Awesome park and museum on Dayton Ohio history. Lovely grounds. Ask them to play a song on the Deed Carillon bell tower.
Inspirational and historical and fun place to visit to grasp ingenious men of invention of the industrial age that inspired our country to greatness!
Excellent historic park. Lots to learn and see about the history and evolution of Dayton's many innovations and the creators behind them. The tour guides and staff are very helpful as well. Definitely set aside a few hours to see it all.
The history this park contains is irreplaceable. We love the hands on aspect - print shop, old school rooms, walking through train cars - as well as the knowledgeable volunteers who share their stories in ways that are understandable for all ages. And the beautiful Christmas decorations!
So much history here! It's wonderful that all these treasures have been preserved. A fascinating place!
Great dayton history. Take your girl and hold hands enjoying the old buildings.
The park is a great place to spend the afternoon. We have gone a couple of times and I learn something different every time. The park has shelters for family picnics. Or, the Carillon Brewery is an excellent restaurant. There are numerous historical buildings to visit and go inside. The volunteers are always very informative and pleasant. The gentleman in the print shop was great. The guide in the Wright Museum shared so many amazing facts about the Wright Brothers. Also, an Bird watching enthusiast pointed out a Bald Eagle next and showed us pictures he has taken of the Eagles. It was a great day.
Huge fields to picnic, fly kites, pass a ball... This is outside of the historical society.
This is is one of the true gems of the Miami Valley that most people overlook but then other people travel around the world just to come and check out The National Historic Park. It is awe-inspiring to see all the inventions they have here on display all the way from train cars to airplanes that are all been made in Dayton all the way to smaller computers such as the Ubiq that was made by Mead Data Central now LexisNexis Reed Elsevier are on display for everyone to see you should definitely go and check out the carillon historical Park probably part of the National Parks.
Great place to learn about the rich history of Dayton, Ohio. I've lived in Dayton for years and discovered things about the city that I had no idea about. I highly recommend making a day trip to check out all that Carillon Historical Park has to offer!
Such a wonderful park full of great pieces all of which are a part of Dayton's rich history. It's the perfect place for families both young and old. Their new holiday lights were perfect for the hometown holiday adventure our family looks for each year.
Although the tickets are a bit expensive, it is worth it!
They have added new events, also new buildings since i was last there. I can't wait to go back this summer with my grandkids who will be visiting from California.
It's pretty, and the bell tower is cool. I hear there are events held there and that it's more lively, but there's not much to do if there isn't an event. Still, it's clean and pretty.
Really fun place to visit this time of year. They take precautions for COVID, but it does take away from the 'magic' of Christmas.
Love it at Carillon. Lots of Dayton history. Plus you can eat at brewery which is really good.
What an amazing living museum! We're new to the area and loved learning about the history of Dayton and all of the great contributions that former Dayton residents have made to the U.S!
This is a great place to take the family. It is so fun and educational. The lights were so pretty at night with the snow.
We had an after hours event in the transportation center. Building was clean and nice. Parking was less than desirable since the parking lot is very far away from the center.
The historical pride located in the park entertains and informs. Great exhibits of NCR cash registers and cars. More than meets the eye.
Went for the tree lighting but stayed and did the historical tour. Had a great time and really enjoyed the family time!
Was seated and never waited on to order foid or drinks. Ended up walking out. Told manager and he acted like he didn't care. Poor customer service.
Did not assigned a waitress to us. Sat for a really long time being ignored. Just does not have good food. We go for the beer.
