Beautiful, educational and fun. Inside merry go round and the Wright family. At Christmas, the park is decorated in festive lights with carolers and actors portraying people of the earth 19th century.

The food and drink were excellent! I enjoyed almost every moment in the restaurant. Staff were friendly food was fast and filling, and the appetizers portions were right for the price! I'd recommend everyone go for a nice night just call ahead as wait times are common

Informative and interesting! If you are off age, Carillon Brewing is a must visit. Staff is friendly, creative, and knowledgeable. Interpretive text is a bit Eurocentric, economic return-heavy (not just w/r/t to Dayton businesses, but even when describing early settlers), and focused on manly, industrious men (probably inevitable, but still). The hands-on archaeological activity looked cool and I wish there was more of that kind of thing. I would also have appreciated more about the Shawnee, Miami, and Delaware American Indians.

The animatronics though...eesh. They teeter on the brink of the uncanny valley. Nightmare fuel, but they give you something to laugh about.

This place is awesome. Admission is not a bad price. They have the history of cash registers, flight, and much much more. They have a carousal and an animatronic theater as well. There is a huge tube slide down a hill as well. Lots of historic buildings. The Christmas/winter display was amazing !! We really enjoyed coming here !! This is a wonderful and historic place !!

This is a premier historical place to visit in Dayton. Most people are astounded by the history and how Dayton has participated in the furtherance of science, technology and manufacturing in the United States and the world!

This place is AMAZING!! It has everything you could ever want to see from Dayton. So many buildings with informative and interesting things, it could easily take two days to see it all. Highly recommended. It's not a free park, but definently worth $12 to get in.

No longer in it for the history of Dayton and in it purely for profits. I will no longer support this establishment after how they treated the abandonment of the Dayton Liederkranz Turner German Club German Picnic (a 33 year celebration), only to create their own German Festival on the exact same days). Shame, it's full of wonderful history and community that is no longer valued but their own organization. I encourage others to abandon their idea of community history preservation.

I like it but just check first for any special events like weddings. We were denied entry to the Transportation bldg and things beyond because they were setting up for a private reception. The docent wasn't very nice about it either and we had family in town with us from out of state so it wasn't like we could come back another day. The park wasn't set to close for nearly another hour. Personally I don't think it's fair to pay full price and only get to see some of the stuff.

Loved this place. Great place to come on a nice day. The Wright Brother Musuem is here with one of their original planes located there. You can easily spend a couple of hours there. The print shop has someone there to do show and tell. It is impressive to see all the historical events that have happened in that area as well as learning about the other technological advances that gave happened there that we have benefitted from... don't want to spoil the stories for you. It is worth the price of admission.

You must visit this Park!! Take the time to see all the exhibits and walk the grounds, reading and exploring all there is to offer. A wonderful place to introduce your children to a piece of history they may not know exists or your young at heart partner that wants/needs to remember back when. It is an all day park so go early, put on your walking shoes, take your camera, grab some lunch at the cafe, or pack a picnic, interact with the staff and experience some history.Being a senior, $10.00 was a steal for a day of history. A must see Park!

Used to be a great place and a wonderful place to attend events . Now all they seem to care about is money. Kicked out local German club to put on own 10 day festival. I won't be supporting them anymore.

The lights were beautiful, grandkids love riding the train and walking up the Watch tower. We loved going through all the historical buildings. My favorite is the Wright Brothers actual bike shop and museum that houses the plane that took the first flight that lasted 39 minutes. The people there are very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to as they talk about the Wright Brothers. My family loved it.

We were in Dayton visiting family and spent nearly the full day at Carillon. The children loved the schoolhouse, the dooryard garden, and the transportation pavilion. We had lunch at Culp's and enjoyed the carousel. Our 5 year old son would happily have spent another hour or two exploring, but our 2 year old was exhausted. We will return the next time we are in town.

What and interesting place from the investors of flight and the electric starter to a car manufacturer to win to win the first Indy 500 at a blistering 57 mph. You'll not spend less on a more interesting site for 100's of miles!

This is a great historical landmark for Dayton Ohio!

I was able to record a video in front of this for my video channel and then I took my son here a few weeks later!

There's so many great elements to this park we hope to go back really soon!!

One of the sites operated by the Dayton Ohio history society. We stopped at the Carillon Brewery for lunch before visiting the park. I had an excellent meat loaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. I also had cream soda.
Note: They use historically accurate 18th century recipes.

The meat loaf did not seem to have the tomato taste common to many recipes but was still soft and tasty. The mashed potatoes and gravy was good. The green beans were crispy and more flavorful than usual.

The park itself requires admission of $10 per adult or a historical society membership of $20 ($50 for 2 adults and 2 children) annually for unlimited admission to all historical society sites.

An excellent introduction to local history. Including the 1913 flood and the local conservancy district, which has prevented flooding since.

The park has a cafeteria, visitors center and displays with historic buildings, machinery, transportation and a national park building which contains the Wright Flyer.

Interestingly, for the last 2 years, a pair of eagles has nested near the aviation building.

This is an amazing place that is updated constantly. If you haven't been here in ten years then you haven't been here. Even a two year absence warrants a new visit. Don't miss the introductory animatronic theater to start your visit, it's informative and entertaining

Wonderful exhibits from several different periods of Dayton History. Spent several hours here and would go again tomorrow. Exhibits have a lot to do with transportation and the National Cash Register company (as does the history of Dayton!) but anyone could find something here to enjoy!

Lots of Dayton history here. We have been an inventors' valley for many years. From Patterson and Deeds, Kettering and the Wrights to the guy who invented the pop top for cans. We're awesome! Then there's Jonathon Winters and Irma Bombeck and Paul Dunbar. Wow!
