It was inexpensive enough. The bathroom was kind of gross and the refrigerator and microwave were from the mid 1980s. The couch had a lot of wear spots and wasn't very comfortable to sit on. Room smelled a little musty. For $60 a night I can't really complain though.
Do not waste your money! First room stunk like hell, smell of smoke in a non-smoking area. Second room seemed better til we pulled back covers on bed. Ugly gooey brown spot!
It's a moderately priced hotel located near some great breweries, a distillery, and campus. The hotel is older but clean and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I met a friend there for a weekend of drinking and she brought her dogs (Pugs). They upgraded our room for free so we'd have some more space and anytime we needed something extra like towels they were happy to accommodate.
Seems like they've stepped up their game since some of the other bad reviews. It was perfectly acceptable for the rate. Lobby seemed updated and clean. Room was a little musty, but whatever. Comfortable bed. Everything you'd expect (maybe more) from a continental breakfast at a hotel with reasonable rates. Pro-tip: go hit up Emy J's and the Main Grain downtown for coffee and baked goods!
Beds were nice....some of the furniture is getting a little weathered but the staff was very nice.

The staff was friendly, however, the hotel itself was not very clean or well-maintained. The first night of our stay we noticed the smell of weed in the hallway. I went to the front desk to report it and they told me there were having trouble with the people above us and that she would go up and talk to them. The next evening the smell was also in our bathroom. That night we called the front desk twice to complain of the noise level coming from upstairs. This went on till past 3 a.m. I was told by the front desk both times I called that they would speak with the people upstairs. The second call they said that they could move US to another room....WHY not deal with the pot smoking people upstairs....kick them out if necessary rather than make the stay of quiet law abiding guests so miserable. I informed the front desk person that I would not be waking my children at 3 a.m. because they refused to properly handle to situation. The only response was that she would let management know in the morning. We will never stay there again, nor would I recommend to anyone else.

As far as budget motels go, I was very satisfied! This is a no frills establishment run by people who take pride in their business. The customer service was excellent. Attentive and genuinely friendly front desk staff, clean and tidy room, neat and sanitary continental breakfast area. Will definitely return next year.
Special olympics being in town the crook that runs this place was charging over double the regular rate for a last minute room at midnight. So not even a whole day. Absolutly refused to stay here. Who takes advantage of people like this?

Good staff service. Terrible hotel. Maintenance is lacking substantially. Smelled like really strong chemicals our entire stay and our cold water didn't work. Also the continental breakfast was terrible to say the least. .. Fake food.
Okay I didn't expect alot for the price. I was pleasantly surprised it's very clean, the beds are comfortable,the staff was very nice. The cable T.V. is just like home a little wear and tear but it's great and the air conditioning is cold.
My first room, 219, had bed bugs... I was bit nine times. Ugh. The room was ridiculously hot, too, and would not get cool regardless of heat setting (space heater and standard heater seemed to be malfunctioning). Was moved to a different room, 109, the second night. No problems there. Comfortable temperature, cleaner, no bugs. Much better.
Room was dated and had funky smell. Not a lot of room for $100.

Staff was happy to help with anything you needed. All though we had to fix the window so we could lock it and the deadbolt on the door didn't work, we did enjoy our stay.
All I needed was a place to spend about 10 hours overnight. This place was perfect for that. Nothing fancy, but was clean and quiet. Had a fridge and microwave. Internet was good for surfing, to slow to stream a movie. No big deal, had cable tv.
Spent a weekend here and really enjoyed it. The room had a fun northwoods theme and the price was competitive with everything else in the area. Only slight flaw was that one of the showerheads was a touch leaky, but when I mentioned it to the staff they were really apologetic and dealt with it promptly. I had a great experience and will definately stay here again the next time I need a hotel in Stevens Point.
The room was gross and smelled. The bathroom was tiny and toilet was low and felt you were sitting on the ground. The shower head was coming out of the wall so couldn t use the shower. The light switch and the dial for the fan was like rusty. Would not recommend this hotel. It doesn t even deserve 1 star

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It didn't blow my mind or anything of the sort, but it was warm, clean, and had a complete breakfast offered.
Worked in the town for about 2 months and J was awsome he gave us a monthly rate and it was a huge discount not to mention the rooms two bedrooms turned into one , one side had a bed and the other had a pullout bed so privacy was great perfect for two families or two couples renting :)

I have read other reviews about this place, and thought they were a little harsh. I was wrong. The staff are nice. Usually that is the case, but the room left much to be desired. I am paying for the room with a fridge, and cooktop because I get tired of eating restaurant food. So, the walls need cleaning/painting, the bathtub is peeling, the wall has a large haphazardly repaired hole, there was food in the cupboards, the exhaust hood hadn't been cleaned, the cupboard's area around the handles were sticky and obviously not cleaned in a while, the cooktop catch trays were cruddy and the fridge had holes on the door where it was once padlocked and appeares to have been manufactured in the '80's. I closed the entry door and a grate fell from a recessed light fixture over the sink! It took me a few seconds to figure out from where it came. By the way, it is a pay up front establishment. Unfortunately, this is the only place close to where I have to work that has a cooktop. If after talking to the front desk makes this situation better, I will update my review.
UPDATE: This hotel also did not offer kitchen utensils. Really? Who travels with pots, pans, plates, etc? The reason given was because of Covid 19. I didn't believe that. Using that reasoning, nothing should be in the room. To address the initial review, I was offered another room. It was cleaner than the initial room. The dirty drip trays were replaced, the floors vacuumed and surfaces were wiped. I stayed because they worked to try to make it better. They forgot the fridge and the wall behind the cooktop. I got some dish detergent from one of the people who was helping prepare the room and cleaned the fridge and the wall. The tub surrounds were recently horribly redone because the epoxy coating was peeling in both rooms. I hope they get their money back. They need it to make this place better. I won't go back. I did discover another hotel with a kitchenette.
I just stopped by with my dad while he was checking in while visiting me over the weekend. We had to back to the front desk three times because the card to our room was not working, and then they ended up having to change our room. Later when we went back it didn't work again. Just a little annoying.
Overall okay. We had two rooms and one was a bit trashy (terrible shower, weird stains, ect.), but the other was fine. Breakfast options are poor, but there is a perkins within a minute walk. Fridge and microwave were nice.
For $130 a night I've stayed in much nicer/cleaner hotels. The website said it had a pool..once we got there it did not. Breakfast was less than par..microwaveable omelettes. They do not have offer any toiletries at the front desk either.
I stayed at this property in February 2018. Very nice room. Clean and comfortable. Parking large enough for buses and trucks. Breakfast and right next door to Perkins restaurant.

I thought I was staying at a nice hotel. I was wrong. The furnishings in the room were old and tattered. The bed was okay though. The tub stopper wouldn't work for my wife to take a hot soak after a long drive. It smelled terrible and the carpet and paint looked like they hadn't been redone in years. Don't stay here.
Front counter was friendly, room was average fare for hotel of its price, and internet worked well. One improvement would be more clarity on breakfast hours.
A solid hotel for an overnight visit to Stevens Point. Rooms had a mini fridge and a microwave and the location is a walkable distance from the green circle trail, schmeeckle reserve, and the residence halls of UWSP.
It was okay. Clean with a fridge and microwave. A 24 hour Perkins next door is a plus.
What a great place to stay for the price. All the employees were so nice and helpful. Breakfast was great and now they have sandwiches for sale. I would recommend this place for anyone.
this days inn is the best the owners are very friendly my dad cant eat regular bread because of a wheat allergy and the owner jay went out of his way to get him gluten free bread from the grocery store for him such a nice family that owns the place. i would recommend this motel to anyone if they ever came to stevenspoint. the rooms are very clean and the breakfast was awesome they got the waffle machine to make fresh waffles. and coffee all day long they are very helpful on directions around town my favorite motel ever thanks jay :)

My son and I stayed here for a hockey weekend a couple weeks ago. We were inundated with gnats and I couldn t figure out why? Thought it was just the season. Upon checkout, I double checked to make sure nothing was left behind, only to find gross old food in one of the drawers. A bottle of soy sauce and a package of tortillas!!!!? I immediately went and told the front desk where I was assured someone would addres the problem and we would be compensated. Crickets....... three weeks later. Nothing. Gross place. Dont stay here!!!!!!
The outside of the buildING doesn't look the greatest and the cleaning crew came real early in the morning and we had told them we werent ready yet and then they never came back to fix the room
It's pretty rough. Negotiate with the Baymont next door and get better room and rate.
They are remodeling so there were paint fumes on second floor. No elevator to second floor making heavy luggage a struggle. Rooms were nice but made the worn out sofa look out of place. Restaurants and grocery store in walking distance. Breakfast wasn't bad. Microwavable cheese omelet ....wow!
Good deal for $60/night. Fridge/microwave in room. A bit run-down but fine for a casual stay; also they are remodeling.

All we needed for our stay was a clean, comfortable, safe place to stay and Days Inn delivered.
The place is very old and run down. The room was clean & the staff were nice just hate paying so much for a run down place especially when there are newer places right next door that cost the same. We chose here because we've stayed at the same chain in other areas and they were nice. Let's just say the pictures are much nicer than the actual room.
I stay 2 nights and found out that i have bed bug bites on me. And putting my unborn child at risk. And the person at the front desk lied about the whole thing. I want someone to pay for damages.

Clean hotel. Counter staff was not at desk at checkout time, so waited a bit for them to come out.
I booked a handicap room. They do not have walk in or wheel in bathrooms although we were led to believe I was reserving one. Needless to say, we will never use this hotel again.
It s a great location for us and they are still remodeling but the room we had was beautifully done. They will put in new carpeting after the second floor rooms have been completed. Reception and check out was very pleasant. Cozy clean and quiet place. We ll Be back.
