Great service from Jason Trojan! He came on a holiday weekend and quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem.

This electric company is prompt in responding to your call for help, professional, courteous and on time. Starting with Niki who answered all my concerns and the service tech, Jonathan, who thoroughly checked everything, answered my questions, found the problem and fixed it. Highly commend and recommend!

Awesome experience! Dawson's has taken care of a couple different electrical issues for us over the years and we are very pleased with the results. They are very knowledgeable and we appreciate all of their ideas on how we can run a more energy efficient home.

We needed a number of things done and were able to meet with an electrician and go through the list. Jason, the electrician, talked us through all of our concerns and offered solutions. We approved a quote and he got right to work installing dimmer switches, programmable switches, a new chandelier, and talking us through some electrical issues we had noticed. I would recommend Dawson's Electric.

Jason was great! He was punctual and very knowledgeable. Also, he took time to explain other potential issues not directly related to the service call.

Not only are we pleased with the easiness of scheduling an appointment with Dawson's Electric, we are also very impressed with the technician assigned to us. We purchased our home in January 2020 and have been upgrading some things here and there since it's an older home. Originally, we contacted this company so someone could help take a look at a transformer that we were having trouble with while upgrading our "plain" doorbell to a fancier one. Micah was assigned to our issue. He arrived on time and was very professional. Upon further inspection, Micah expressed that he noticed several potential safety issues that our home inspector missed before we purchased our home. Micah took the time to explain his findings and whether they were safety concerns or not, wrote a quote that listed each service/item, and put the decision in our hands on what work to be performed. We elected to have all of the safety concerns addressed and Micah worked diligently for several hours fixing each issue. Did I mention it's been pouring rain off and on all day? He was in and out of the crawl space under the house, up and down a ladder, in and out of the house to work on the side of our home... All while not tracking in debris from the outside. Once his work was complete, he vacuumed the areas inside the home, then explained everything that he had done for us today. He even told us to ask for him if we ever need any other services when upgrading some features in our home in the future. We are very pleased with Micah at Dawson's Electric and it feels good to "know a guy" if we have any electrical concerns in the future. Hands down, 5 stars for the company and especially for Micah. We will absolutely be using this company again in the future and we will definitely be recommending this company to our friends and family!

He explained to me what he was there to do and their pricing structure, which I didn t know because my husband had been dealing with getting this appt set up. He accomplished the task in a timely manner and minimized the amount of time I was without electricity. I will definitely use this company again, should the need arise! Micah was amazing! He was on time, extremely polite, thorough, and took the time to explain everything he was doing. He did a free safety check/evaluation and he noticed a few things I should be mindful of, nothing major. I appreciated that he took the time to explain what he noticed during his free evaluation and the fact that he advised me to not just take his word, or any other contractor s word, but to do some research on my own, as well, to verify the veracity of what I am told. He was as honest as the day is long and that was refreshing, to say the least. While I thought the cost of what I needed was slightly high (It ended up costing $207 to replace a breaker which went bad and took a few minutes to switch out), I would still recommend Dawson s Electric because, let s be honest, most of the time if you have an electrician, plumber, HVAC person, etc come out it is going to cost. If possible, ask for Micah!!

Worked with John Torres who was absolutely wonderful. He was very helpful and quickly repaired the items we needed fixed. We are doing home renovations and he took the time to walk through the house with me and create an itemized quote of the additional items we want to get done.

Had ceiling fan installed in 2 story den. 2 chandeliers and one of those in a 2 story foyer. Also had 2 ring floodlights installed. Work was done well and in a timely manner. Jason is a great down to earth guy and fun to talk to. They will be my go to electricians from here on out.

My second experience with Dawson's Electric was a professional as the first two years ago. This time, my request for installation of a floor plug was handled SAME DAY (thanks to fortuitous scheduling and availability). Jason did a great job betting the job done well, making sure everything was the way I wanted it. Travis did work at my home two years ago, and the work was just as good. Highly recommend.

Jason arrived right on time and we discussed what needed to be done. He was very knowledgeable and provided an estimate of all work to be completed and got it done the same day. He went above and beyond by tracking down a part and picking it up with no additional charge. He was also great with my two dogs!

Jason was willing to come back to our house same day after his initial call to provide exactly what we needed to fix our problem! He was thorough and friendly! Will certainly use him again.

Finally! An electrical company that follows through on their promises! Dawson's is the 3rd company that we've called. The first company never called back with an estimate and the 2nd didn't show up for the appointment. All of the employees that I have had contact with at Dawson's are friendly and professional. We're pleased with the work they have done so far and am looking forward to the end results. Dawson's will be the only electrical company that we will call from now on.

Jason did a great job of figuring out an unusual electrical problem in our home. The fee was reasonable and it was a pleasure have Jason in our home. We will definitely use Dawson's and Jason if we have electrical problems in the future.

Had a small, but worrisome, problem with some recessed lighting. Jason arrived, exactly on time, for scheduled appointment. Jason went over pricing, for service call and diagnostic fee, before starting work. He found the problem, explained all of his steps, and fixed the issue. He also did a full inspection of electrical panel (explaining all that he was doing) and outdoor electrical meter. He was also a super nice guy who was patient with my questions. I will ABSOLUTELY call Dawson's again when we need help with any electrical problems.

The price was fair but it was the technician, Jason Trojan who really impressed. He wasn't on time. He was early!!!! The quality of work he did was great and he explained all of my options and the process thoroughly. Professional and friendly. My wife and I are nothing short of ecstatic over the entire process with the company and Mr. Trojan in particular.

I ve had contractor friends who have tried to refer towards people they know but that isn t going to happen. In this world, when you find a company that does great work, treats you right, and has fair pricing, you stick with them. I can not recommend a company more.

Jason was great - he came right on time and diagnosed our problem immediately. He took care of the issue quickly and efficiently without trying to sell us service we did not need. He was very professional and honest and advised us about the status of our electrical system and the possibility that we might need some additional work in the future. The goal was to provide power for welders and additional equipment with the addition of a 100 AMP sub-panel. The results were perfect, and Dawson's worked through all the qwirks of my existing power configuration. They will be my "go-to" for future electric projects.

Technician was able to quickly diagnose the issue from what I was describing. They came prepared with the part and answered all of my questions as they performed the work. They were also able to come the same day after rearranging their schedule to accommodate me being home at a given time. Satisfied and would use again.

This company does not provide free estimates. Instead they gather all your info on the phone, tell you they will come out and provide an estimate, and then at the END after you've cleared your calendar and are ready to move forward they advise you of the $59.99 "dispatch fee".

Why would anyone PAY to have a company come out and provide an estimate??? What this does is allows the company to name any price they want because the "dispatch fee" is already on the line.

There is a plethora of electricians/companies that will give you an estimate at no cost or risk to you, the consumer.

Worked with John Torrez to install outdoor outlets on our patio. Very professional & respectful, was on time, completed the job quickly and cleaned up. General communication was good as you can track your technician on their way and see location on a map with ETA.

Jason was fantastic. He showed up within the confirmed window of time and it was clear in no time that he has years of experience behind him. He was able to quickly diagnose the problems and provide a quote. One of the things I most appreciated was his ability to "speak customer", as I tried (poorly) to explain the problems to him. Highly recommend!

Dawson s electric charged me $430 for Switching out two fluorescent lights that had gone bad. Also screwed in a couple of light bulbs. This is the biggest rip off! Most of that was the $230 diagnostic fee to tell me the lights were bad!! Save your money and hire someone else.

I had them come out to find a short in a wire. They did not find it. A neighbor came over who was a retired electrician found it and told me how it could be fixed but was unable to help because of his age. So called Dawson back reluctantly I would add the first time out they broke my kitchen countertops pulled a junction box out of and thru the sheet rock and damaged an outlet. Called the owner who finally came out with a hostile attitude said he could fix the damage. He never showed up and waited until he knew I was out of town to call and say he could come by. As for the repairs I had to argue with the lead electrician for an hour on how would be easier way to repair a short he finally tried my way and said oh this will work. I will NEVER EVER HAVE THEM IN MY HOME AGAIN

Great people---I had an electrical problem at my house that just went on the market 2 days before, and it was the Thursday before memorial day weekend. I couldn't get any electrician to barely even talk to me and they not only talked to me, they rescheduled some of their other stops that weren't so urgent and came out on Tuesday to fix the issue when they knew the house was on the market for sell. Just unbelievable service. While I live further away now, I'll definitely still call them for any electrical work in the future in case they come down to Johnston County.

I want to thank Dawson electric for helping us out last week our home was struck by lighting. It was the scariest thing my family and I have ever been through. Dawson s electric was a great company to work with. I stopped by the office to discuss having a gas line bonded and they were able to connect me with a technician and have it serviced the next day. They were up front with their pricing and texted me to let me know the technician Jason was on his way.
