After shopping around for a new 4runner, I ended up at Dave Edwards Toyota in Spartanburg. I live in Easley and was very disappointed the dealerships near me could not help me find my dream car, they were too greedy, proud, and not too helpful, so I decided to look elsewhere. Found a great deal on a 2018 4runner 4x4 on Dave Edward's website, got a quote and the next morning the internet sales rep Megan called me and was very helpful and presented me with the 4runner and also a 2018 Toyota Tundra SR5 for about the same price. I told her I was gonna travel from my home in Easley to their dealership in Spartanburg to check both and test drive them. Unfortunately I fell sick of a throat infection and could not make it. My brother apologized and told her he was gonna go the next day to see them for me. On his way there she called him and told him the 4runner was sold, but the Tundra was still available. I felt disappointed because I was really looking for a 4runner. Regardless, he went there to check the Tundra. Immediately he was greeted very kindly by our salesman Ben Yoo. He had the Tundra already up front and warming up for him. Since I was not there, our sales manager Roberto was very kind to let him bring the truck to my home so I could check it out myself after some paperwork. I really wanted the 4runner but once I saw and test drove the Tundra, I immediately fell in love with it and was very surprised that the price was actually a little cheaper than the 4runner 4x4 and even though it was an SR5 it had some upgrades and extra features like the 5.7 V8, lane departure, running boards, and many other functions that the 4runner was lacking. Overall it was a heck of a deal and was so happy with it. Once I got there the paperwork process was smooth. Our friendly Japanese salesman Ben (thanks bro) took great care of us. Roberto our sales manager made the process better and he even gave us a great deal on a set of wheels and tires to replace the ugly stock steel ones. The financing manager was a little too pushy about getting me spend extra money on GAP, extended coverage and unnecessary stuff you do not need on a Toyota vehicle, maybe a Chevy or Ford perhaps? My experience at Dave Edwards Toyota was great and satisfactory except the pushy finance officer. Instead of a small 4runner, I walked out with a huge Tundra truck. My family and I are very loyal to the Toyota brand and are very happy with our vehicles. I do recommend this dealership over the others. They are more helpful and honest than the others and would do their best to make your shopping experience a great one. If you visit their dealership, please ask for Ben Yoo, he will take care of you as your salesman and also Roberto, the sales manager, will make sure to give you a great deal on the vehicle you choose. Took back for repair and was told the drums were so rusty they were being replaced. Did someone not notice this before I bought. The rear shade did not work, but was told that this didn't cause a safety issue so they would not fix. Guess I got burned on this purchase.

They are always so professional. I did have challenges getting service scheduled (which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5) but challenges happen at times and they bent over backwards to resolve the issues and everything was taken care of. They are a first class team.

I have never seen a dealership take a 500 deposit for a vehicle they say they can get. They actually ran my card without checking to see if the car was available. This was on Saturday at 1pm. They call me Monday at 4 to tell me the car is not available, and tell me they can t find another one, they offer me a 2018 for 1000 dollars more, but of course I refused. So I am still waiting on the refund of my deposit that still has not made it back to my account. I call Ralph Hayes in Anderson, and they did it the right way they took my card number and won t even run my card unless we don t show up this Saturday to look at the car they ordered. Never again will I step foot in Dave Edwards, nor will the people in my family.

When I called yesterday, the scheduler was able to get me in at 3:30 for oil change and routine maintenance. Despite driving in circles to take up time (River Run is 5 minutes away, including a light!), I arrived 15 minutes early and was able to go right in. Advisor Jamie S. greeted me, asked what service I was there for, then took over the car. In my year plus in South Carolina I've been to Dave Edwards for maintenance and repairs several times. Living in a small NJ town for for 50+ years, we frequented small repair shops owned by people we considered family. I was at a loss here in Spartanburg. Nearby seemed ideal. A Toyota *dealership*? Perfect! The Camry never had that since it was born! My first visit I was blown away. The facility is positively palatial. Carefully designed, I suspect, for maximum functionality, new, immaculate. A top-notch, serious-business staff. The customer wait lounge is beautiful, with comfortable seating. The Africa photographs, I was told all taken by Mr. Edwards, are breathtaking. On a list of five places in the world I'd want to explore, Africa has always been tied with Egypt. Lions and elephants are my favorite animals. The ladie's lounge is gracious, elegant, well planned, and spotless. All staff I've encountered have been unfailingly friendly and helpful, including a manager I interrupted in his office, at his desk, last summer to rave about...well, everything. Thank you, Jamie, for your kind friendliness and competence yesterday, and thanks to everyone who has taken care of that 2009 silver Camry of mine, one among legions in SC, just as they were in NJ. I grin every time I see one. :-}

When I arrived at the dealership I was welcomed with friendly service writer and checked me in and made sure all my information was correct. Made sure what I was bringing my truck in for and if they was anything thing else they could do for me. They pulled up my vin number and checked to see if my truck had any warranty left on it. Come to find out the truck was out of the factory warranty but it had a extended warranty I didn t know about. After my truck was served the service writer came into the waiting room and went over the service and explained what the technician found. I was very pleased with the work and would recommend Dave Edwards Toyota to everyone who is looking for a car or truck.

My husband Jay recently missed a truck he was interested in by about 20 minutes. He then decided to ride through your lot . He was riding through the back of the lot where he talked to a couple of employees doing inventory. They asked what he was looking for and when he told them a truck, one of the employees said they had just taken in a nice truck on a trade in. He then walked him to the garage and showed him the truck. It turned out to be perfect for us! He closed the deal the next day and is so very happy with your dealership. Thank you Dave Edwards!

A short while ago, I drove in to Dave Edwards for a routine oil change, and Tony who usually handles my Auto service work, Mention the brakes sounded loud and need to be looked at. I couldn t hear them but he did and I was thankful. The brakes needed changing. Also we were planning a long road trip to the Outer Banks in N C. The Lord blessed in helping me realize I need the car serviced before traveling and the brake problem was detected. It was restful know the brakes were in good working order. I have been a loyal customer at Dave Edward s for many years. We recently bought another vehicle there and our service was outstanding. We came in about two weeks earlier and met with Eddie Irving. He spent a great deal of time with my wife and me. He provided us with useful information and did not hound us after our visit. He did call, but he was polite and sociable without being over eager to get my business. When we were ready to buy we called Eddie and told him we were coming in. Eddie met with us as scheduled and we worked out an agreeable deal on a 2019 Highlander Limited. Our time with John David Ledbetter was quick and efficient. John recognizes early on that I was a regular customer and that I knew exactly what I wanted. He cut through the red tape and got our paperwork processed expeditiously. Today, nearly two weeks after our purchase, John David called to let me know that he had secured a lower interest rate for our vehicle that would save us $21 per month on our payment. That is over $1750.00 over the course of a 72 month car note. This little bit of extra service, done for us even after we had signed on the dotted line, is what makes Dave Edward s Toyota my go to place when I m looking for a new vehicle. By the way, Dave himself will probably poke his head in at some point to say hello.

I could write volumes on my experience but I will try to sum it up with this - Alex / Dave Edwards Toyota didn't try to sell me a "close to what you want" truck that they had in stock. Alex actually listened to me, found what I wanted, called me about it, and I got a NEW Tundra for the same price as several used ones I was looking at with 30k+ miles. Great dealership. I usually hate working with salesmen but Ronnie Ray was by far the best I have had the pleasure to work with. He was very patient and answered all of my questions very quickly. Never tried to sell me extras I don t need and always fought for a fair price for me. He definitely went out of his way to help me and that means a lot. I could have purchased my Toyota from many other dealerships, but stuck with Dave Edwards because of Ronnie Ray! Highly recommend him!

I was trying to set an appointment for my recalls on my car and I had to call 4 times because They kept hanging up on me. Then when I FINALLY reached the service department the lady who answered was rude she kept cutting me off and i am not sure if she was doing it intentionally but after kept getting hung up on and turning around and getting cut off started to get upset me all to have someone call me back so I can set an appointment. Just my experience so far isn t the best.

I live 1 1/2 hrs away and found the kind of vehicle I was looking for online, I sent an email and got a phone call was given a good price, but I couldn't get there to test drive until 7:30 pm they told me they would wait on me and they did, I loved it but was still on the fence; they let me bring the vehicle home for a test drive, then they got me financing at a super low rate then met me where I live with the paperwork to sign. It can't get easier than that.Matt was my salesman and he was not pushy or yappy or the least bit off putting. Honestly it was a pleasurable experience and that's hard to say about buying a car for me. I've got all kinds of nightmare salesman stories. I'm very thankful I found you Dave Edwards Toyota.

I did most of the transaction via internet on pricing which was fine. Just be careful of Fees. I arrived at the dealership to sign all papers and pick up car at 6:45 PM and had to wait until after 9 PM to get out of there. The sales person was extremely helpful in transferring all my stuff from one car to the other. All in all it was a great experience except the wait. Thank you!

My 1st experience buying a pre-owned car from Dave Edwards was rather chaotic but I decided to give it another try and I have to say...the 2nd time was hands down a complete 180. I went with a new 2018 Rav4 and not only do I love the vehicle, but the sales service I got from Mr Bill Ledbetter was exactly what I hoped it would be. Very pleasant experience in the purchase of our Toyota Camry. SPECIAL SHOUTOUT to the SUNshine brought to us on a Rainy, thunderous, Saturday in June from Logan Wray(She brought the Rays). She was very patient in our 7 hr indecisive stay. From my viewpoint the whole staff was on point, very in tune and harmony as a unit. I had a very very positive and extraordinary experience with Dave Edwards dealership over a year ago and it should've already been published. I have never in my life been treated as kind and courteous as I was with this dealership. I'll be as brief as possible. Came home from work one day to notice a puddle of oil under my 2016 slightly used Tacoma purchased from DET. I was disgusted. I checked my mail just a few minutes after that to notice a safety recall on my truck and that my truck must be surrendered. I immediately called the dealership and requested my salesman, Bill Ledbetter. He returned my call shortly thereafter and was very sympathetic, especially to the oil leak. Turns out it was a defective oil seal. He reached out to his service team and to my surprise called me back with some much needed great news. His reply was that Mr Dave Edwards had told him to personally take care of everything and make everything right whatever it took. I thought, is this some dealer scam, because of their professional and urgent attention to my case. The same day, they sent a tow to pick up my truck, as it was inoperable. The tow person was very thorough and pointed out the oil issue and the recall which was a rear differential leak issue. These were separate and substantial defects. The next morning Bill called and as he promised and asked what it would take to keep me a happy customer, at Mr Edwards' direction. I had already been active in looking at my options and identified a new tundra which was roughly $1000 plus difference in the used Tacoma I had purchased just a few months before. I starte that I wanted to trade for the Tundra at an even swap. Bill sent another man to pick me up the same day and deliver me to the dealership to talk numbers. This person/employee was husband to their dealership controller. He spoke very very highly of Mr Edwards and their years of business and personal relationships. When I arrived the contract was on the table with Bill and Mr Edwards stopped by to speak. I felt like family. Not only did I get the new Tundra cheaper than the price of the used Tacoma, but they also included a free 2 year service. I genuinely feel that this dealership is what all car buyers are looking for and I'll forever do business with them and tell my story wherever I can. Every time I visit for service I get the best treatment from anyone I come in contact with. I truly believe the leadership qualities that Mr Edwards possesses, reflects throughout his facility.

I hate to negotiate for cars mainly because of the salespeople I have worked with in the past. "Pushiness" is the keyword I usually think of first when dealing with them. The salesperson is the face of the company. If the salesperson is pushy, I feel the dealership will be as a whole. I prefer a courteous, patient, knowledgeable representative. I also consider my time as valuable, so it is nice for things to move right along without a lot of lag. Tim McCormick met my expectations for a good dealership representative. It was a pleasure buying a vehicle from him - not the usual experience when spending thousands of hard-earned bucks on a machine that will deprecate the moment it leaves the lot.
