Dana Point Yacht Club Review

Food and ambiance were great! There was live music, too!

This is my yacht club. It is very much "down to earth" with many charity events and sponsorships throughout the year. Just one example: when a staff member recently decided to leave the DPYC to train to become a firefighter, this club stepped up to cover tuition. 100%. It has the best water-level view on the planet. Well, equal to any at least. Great food and service too.

I ordered a bloody mary from the bar last Sunday. I saw a watermelon size live bettle in my drink!!! Uhg but the water bug that ran across my toes in the rest room was worse!
Then the attitude of the help here sucks! The check is automatically added with a tip so the help here doesnt really care.
The wedding party was drowned out by near by boaters singing and having a blast. I would take my bussiness to Dana West YC.

Great place for a family picnic. Table areas are each equipped with wind break walls that add privacy from road traffic.

This was a very nice venue for a friends wedding. The staff was great and the view was amazing

Great facility right on the water in Dana Point. We were there for an event beautiful view great service good food. What more could you ask for?

I recommend this Harbor for any boating enthusiast. Dana Point is a must-see if you are visiting in the area you must go to the harbor the best fish sandwiches ever

I miss this place. I haven t been back here for a few months. Every time I visit they have some activities happening here. Great place for a picnic, stroll, beach fun and more.

Excellent atmosphere and food. Members only and guests. What more can be said must experience it.

This is a beautiful place to take the family to see the yachts lit in their Christmas lights.

Had my wedding reception in the ballroom. 220+ people! It was fantastic!

The most beautiful club I been to. Not only the location itself but the club inside. You can feel all the care, enthusiasm and pride as soon as you step through the door. I have had a very sad event organized by DPYC. My husband (member of the club) was lost at sea. I have planned to do a Memorial, but didn't even know how to start it. DPYC come to the rescue. The way it was organized and the support and love I received is unparalleled by anything I experienced in my life. Thank you DPYC.

Favorite staycation. Private club where all feel welcome. Food is great and bartenders are the best. Popcorn is always fresh warm and free.

Company Christmas party venue-- boat parade was nice, too!

Members only club with beautiful views of the harbor, free kayak and coat rentals, a very nice family feel at the restaurant and free goldfish at the bar!

Had lunch here. The fish tacos and crab cakes were delicious. The view was and always is spot on. This was my view from the patio.

We recently had a wedding at the Dana Point Yacht Club. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious and the event was very well organized and ran smoothly thanks to Danielle Hunt, their Director of Catering. We could not have asked for a better venue and staff. Danielle was always available to answer questions and extremely polite, professional and helpful. I highly recommend having your next event at DPYC.

Had lunch with an associate. Baja fish tacos were excellent as was the view of Dana Point harbor. Service was inobtrusive and quick. Outside dining in November was a little breezy and cool, but could easily find a wind blocked corner. This is a members-only and guest establishment. If I behaved myself maybe I'll get to go again!

Dana point yacht club is a wonderful club sitting right at the tip of the island overlooking the Dana bluffs and the Marine institute. We love dpyc and visit there often even though we're members of Dana West yacht club.

Food was good. Gave me a free slip for 2nights. I enjoyed myself

Dp has a great Sunday omelet brunch with an endless Champagne option. They have great entertainment too. We love it!

Great vibe! A Great group of people who like to have fun!

Went to special event. Buffet food was very good. Staff was attentive. Had a good time.

This place is pretty cool, but there's barely any ducks.

This address, 24707 Dana Drive, is actually the address of another yacht club, Dana West Yacht Club (DWYC). It's located upstairs in the building on the corner of Island Way (the bridge from the mainland) and Dana Drive. (That's the building on your immediate right as you cross the bridge and come to the stop sign and turn right.)

To really get to Dana Point Yacht Club (DPYC), located at 24999 Dana Drive, just keep going towards the Dana Point Harbor Headlands. DPYC occupies the entire building at the at the very end of the street.

This place has great views, the members were so friendly. The staff was good as well. All around fantastic experience, we will be back

Best Mai Tai in OC. Great artichoke. Had the steak and shrimp special. The shrimp were excellent. The steak was tasty and cooked medium rare as requested. The accompanying pasta was very good. The service was very good. Great experience at a very reasonable price.

subsequent visit for "Prime Rib Night" the Prime Rib was out very early, have had similar experience there, the amount of Prime Rib is very limited so don't count on it

Great place, beautiful room, great atmosphere, the staff are amazing!!! 5 stars all the way.

This is a warm, family friendly environment. Lots of events throughout the year. In the summer, they have the most wonderful sailing camp for kids and racing events that are ongoing. The food is good, the atmosphere is inviting and the staff are friendly and provide excellent service.

Great place to enjoy the views of Dana Point, location is laid-back, not too many tourist action on this end. Went here for a wedding, & the whole event went wonderful, with the help of all the staff. Nice bar on the second floor!

Great location, but lacks diversity in membership. Mostly a retirement club, with hours of service posted, not matching what occurs as hours left variable to staff decision as opposed to members on site, with things like last call on Friday and Saturday nights as early as 9.15pm, making it difficult if wishing to use club for business entertaining and etc. Food good, but lack of management shows in lack of experience in member events, and proper training and supervision of wait staff. Most of the time disorganized, with kitchen being out of many items on menu, again showing to lack of management. Club choice boils down to personal expectations, and goal of use, so take the time to ask questions in orientation, and determine if this could be right decision for you....as we did not know enough to ask the proper questions in our experience in relocating to area. Good luck !

We had a great time celebrating St. Patrick's Day at the Yacht Club. Good food, drinks, a live band, and we enjoyed ourselves on the dance floor. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Awesome view , catering faclilties , easily accessible from freeway , many nearby tourist lodging and eateries.

F & B department is much improved the last couple years.

I have been a member for 2 years and really like the atmosphere.

Laid back and friendly with great service and wonderful food.

Private club but have been there for weddings. Great view.

Must be a member. As a member it's a phenomenal place. You need not own a boat to become a member.
There is Sail Boat Racing, Cruises, Whale Watching, Junior Sailing Program, Welcome Aboard Classes for members interested in boating or new to boating taught by experienced members, US Coast Guard Auxiliary Classes, Holiday & Themed Socials, Wine Tasting and GREAT FOOD.

Year's ago this loccation was called Michaels supper club.Today is our 25 year anniversary. This is where it all began. This was dana points upper scale night club. He did pass 25 years ago. He gave me a son. I come every year to remember the special times we shared. Merry kissmas ....Kimberly Summers xoxo
