Please dont ever take your loved ones to this hosp...

Please dont ever take your loved ones to this hospital and ESPECIALLY please dont work here!! I wish i could give it -5 stars instead. I worked as a contract nurse in their ICU and the things i saw was poor standard of care, but most importantly how they treat you as a staff especially as an outsider coming in is horrible. I was told by the ICU charge nurse after running around saving lives all day without even a pee break that i had no rights there and nor could i ever speak up bc i was an "outsider". I did say every human being has a right and as a nurse, everyone has the right to speak up for injustice. Well all i had to do was say those words in a conversation and i got the call next day to never return to work there. I was never given a chance to say my side of the story, the Manager didnt even care about basic human decency to call me or find out what even happened. For all i know lies were made up to get me out simply bc i had a conversation about things being unfair. And they all still work there i am sure sitting around and torturing poor nurses who actually does their job and then letting them go if they even have a conversation of disagreement. The ICU doctor even stood up for me every time i was given an unfair assignment load. I was out of job for 3 months, but that being said, i am very glad i never have to work there! please dont loose your licence at this place where they treat you with disrespect, discrimination, and most importantly after complaining, HR and CNO said they would look into the incident but i never received any calls. As i was told, i was an outsider and i didnt have any rights, yet i received a service excellence award at the next hospital i worked at. I almost got an attorney for illegal termination but I didnt want to go through the hassle but they were sure i would win the case. The management, staff, and HR here is horrible and will sent you out the door the minute you speak up. This is not a place you ever want to work at or take your family to. Trust me.

My husband had a fracture in the elbow and went to many hospitals, they said he may not get elbow movement but we came to Dr. Abraham at Dallas regional medical center and he explained well and operated. I highly recommend this place.

Im mew to Texas so i was not sure where to go. Also i was having palpitations and was admited almost immidiately into the room where they drew my blood all was going fine until i started waiting amd waiting for the doctor to show up. He never even really spoke to me only to tell me how i was feeling amd if i had chest pain. Then he left never told me his name and just went off while the nurse stayed. I was just given medication and had to go to the restroom. Called the nurse to have me unplugged as an EkG was running and blood presure. I came back to the room had to call the burse to plug me in. No one came back to check on me for like 2 hourse then I was told that it looks like your low on magnesium. But nothing else i was just sent home and told to follow up with my Pratitioner. But i guess i was ok no doctor came back to tell me anything i guess this is how a hospital works. But i spent about 6 hiurs in there and half the time i was not plugged in to the machine. Im sorry but i kind of felt ripped off if i get charged a lot for this facility. I have learned not to go back. Not because of the people they seemed nice. It was the organization and the doctor not communicating much. It was just soemthing i would not expect from a hospital lets hope they didnt miss anything important on those test.

I was so sick had insurance and was there for 3hrs. Was in pain was left in the room long periods of time. No pain meds no antibiotics nothing but 2 nasal pumps when discharged. I had been there before decided to give them another chance and hate I went back. My Nurse tried to help but she's not the doctor. Very Disappointed still feeling bad. Have to go to another hospital today.

Incredibly rude staff, and they were emptying the used bed pan into the trash bin INSIDE the room. My family member was unconscious, but all I could smell when I arrived to her room was fecal matter. I asked the RN to remove it and he asked me if I had done it?! It also took 20 hours to get an MRI for a patient that arrived by ambulance with loss of hearing, vision, speech, and limb movement because outpatients were prioritized over her. There was NO urgency in determining what was happening.

I was taken here last night by ambulance after fainting from pain under my ribs. I was shaking terribly from pain. I sat outside nurses station for 2 hours. I take prescribed valium at night for ptsd. I Never go to ER. Healthy otherwise. Thought i was dying from pain. Dr saw valium in urine and refused pain meds except a tylenol. Patient profiling horrible there. Nurses discussed two dead patients right in front of me. Hot inside and floors were disgustingly dirty. They just don't care at all.

I went in when I was diagnosed with vertigo a couple of years ago, it was a long wait just for the doctor to see me for about 10 min. I ended up with two separate hospital bills totalling around 2 grand after my insurance coverage. Never will I go to this place again. Not worth it!

My Brother was accidentally brought to this Hospit...

My Brother was accidentally brought to this Hospital, that was a huge mistake. My Sister lives less than 1/4 mile inside of Mesquite, my Brother was visiting her when he got a lot sicker, EMS took him to DRMC.. The Doctors keep trying to steer OUR decisions to make our Brothers Status to be DNR., it s not their decision it s ours. In the ICU 5/9/19 9 pm we were run out of my Brothers Bedside by Nurse, Mary who claims to have been a Nurse for 38 years, after I discovered that there was a pool of blood from blood flowing out of my Brothers Right arm, it took a while before Nurse Mary bothered to bring Gauze that I had requested so that I could apply pressure to the site finally Nurse Mary comes into the room and tried to hold pressure then asked if I could hold pressure. Then Nurse Mary announces to me and my Sister that we needed to leave It was 9:30 pm visiting hours were over, a so we told our Brother good night I thanked Mary for taking care of him fearing that Nurse Mary would kill my brother if we were rude. The Sign on the Door clearly states that we would be able to stay from 8pm to 6:30am, but Nurse Mary was clearly not establishing eye contact or considering the visitors as Human beings. The next morning 5/10/2019 6am I was in the room with my Brother, I asked Nurse Mary what her understanding about the visiting hours, Nurse Mary was ready to throw me out of the Room again, she told me that I could go and talk with her Charge Nurse I told her that I was there to spend time with my Brother, Nurse Mary repeated for me to talk with her Charge Nurse about the visiting hours, then two women from the Lab showed up, rise Mary got the. Involved in the conversation, I was only interested in standing there and talking with my Brother who is very sick, I really didn t see how that was a problem, but. Rise Mary had one of the Lab Women, the Fat one to get the visiting policy even after I told Year Mary that I didn t want it, Nurse Mary three the. Suiting Paper that the Fat Lab Woman had brought to her, but Nurse Mary told me to read it. I asked Nurse Mary if she had called my Sister, my Sister is my Brothers Power of Attorney,, Mary asked why? I m I supposed to call her Nurse MaryThe reason that I asked Nurse Mary is because there had been a change in my Brothers breathing status and was being ventilated with a Bipap Machine I considered that significant enough to notify a Family member about, but this ICU Nurse Mary didn t seen this change in Breathing Status a significant event that would warrant a simple call to a Family Member. What is going on in this Hospital? Why are people trying to tell us to make my Brother a Do not Resuscitate repeatedly? Released questions are after so many times is harassment. Nurse Mary told me about the Resuscitation process, about the broken ribs, the pain and at his age....
Nurse Mary Is older a lot older than my Brother is, apparently Nurse Mary doesn t know her Patients very well or the visiting hours. When a Family has a Brother that s in Critical Condition they should be able to spend whatever time there is with their Brother. The Lab Women wore smiles on their Ugly, smug faces as I walked out of the ICU. People I can t recommend this Hospital to anyone, my Brother is here by a mistake and it s scary. I spoke with the night shift Charge Nurse, I think that her name is Catherine, she stood there and listened to me talk, my throat was dry, but I talk and she listened she almost gave me hope, not enough hope because my Brother is in this Hospital it feels like he is a Hostage a Captive a Prisoner I really want him out of this place.

I drove into Mesquite after I learned about my Brother being in this Hospital, 5/6/19 at 2a.m. and was told by an old Woman in the ER Registration that I couldn t visit my Brother, I told her that I just wanted to peep in the room to look at him, she told me that that was visiting, , even after I explained that I had just got in from San Antonio where I live, so I slept in my truck until visiting hours.

The ICU is the ugliest

Just gave birth to our first baby and had the most amazing experience delivering. My baby came 3 weeks early and we had to induce due to my high BP so naturally I was stressed out and concerned about the risks involved. The nurses and doctors made me feel so comfortable about everything and truly made the experience one that I will never forget. Would recommend over and over

This place is very unprofessional and the level of patient care and bed side manner is null and void.. We had to come back 4 days on a row with the same symptoms to finally get a cat scan and find my husband hada brain tumor..Then we were told He could has died but they don't like to do Ct scans because it's to much radiation.. like really??? He could have died! The nurses were rude and inattentive..Then my dau hter came in for a concussion they didnt want to ct scan her. Because they said it was nothing When they did we never got any results and now we are back with the same issue..This is hands down thee worst hospital ever!

I cant even tell you how bad this place is. I apparently went to this hospital in 2003 and was charged an exuberant amount and 17 years later after not receiving any info that I still had a bill they put me in collections and picked an attorney on me. Then wanted me to pay the legal fees which was 5 times the amount of the actual bill. I would never go to this place had I known they would do this to me.

I would give that information but need an address to send it to. Can you provide that for me?

I ve had both of my babies here at Dallas regional medical center and let me just start by saying it is an amazing experience. From my firstborn to my second baby I couldn t have asked for better nurses and better care. May God bless each and every one of them for everything and all of the hard work that they do every day! Not to mention the food is phenomenal, they bring it in as if it were a hotel. It is a blessing to be able to have nurses and doctors who care so much about your well being. Will continue to have all my children here god willing!

Probably the worst hospital in the DFW area. I hear constant complaints about this hospital. My last time there I went in with Kidney Stones; AFTER a long ordeal they finally pushed me into a room after I was admitted and said someone would be in after shift change to hook my bed up and get me settled.

4 hours later in came a nurse who said "Where did you come from!?" They actually forgot me - and I had no button for emergencies or anything. I was stranded and in severe pain! Was unable to draw any attention either.

I would not take my dog to this hospital!

Take into account this was years ago and maybe they got their acts together...I saw where another reviewer stated that the hospital had changed in recent years.

Absolutely worst hospital ever been to. The doctor was decent but, the nurses were no help at all. My wife was in for day surgery but ended up having to stay over night. She was in severe amount of pain so we asked for her pain meds 2 to 3 times until finally an hour and half later she recieved them. In the middle of hooking up my wifes IV the nurse got called away and forgot to come back. In the morning I had to leave the hospital to go to work. 2 hours later my wife calls me saying I have to come back and help her. The reason was they left her food where she couldn't reach it and the nurse came in and handed her medicine to her and said here you go and walked out. My wife still wasn't able to reach her food nor something to drink. I arrived and saw my wife in so much pain and crying to me telling me everything so I asked her have they talked to her about her status or blood work and she said no, so I called the nurse. She rushed in and asked what do you need I began asking for the results on my wife and she started to walk towards the door and while doing that she said her blood work is better and left before I could ask anything else and never came back. Absolutely worst hospital we've ever experienced. Screw Mesquite Dallas Regional Medical Center!!!

My son had a minor hand injury and I took him into Dallas Regional Medical Center hoping to avoid the ER hassle. Dr. Loredo and his staff were above and beyond what any mother or patient could ask for. Everyone is warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient (my son was scared and cried quite a bit). I truly must say, I have rarely been this impressed by anyone in the medical field.

Very terrible and dishonest staff we brought our 10 day old son here for breathing problems but after ten min he was perfectly fine and they told us he was healthy but then they told us we have to be transferred to children's hospital in a ambulance and when we asked if we could just go home they flat out said no it's their hospital policy that the infant most be transferred and once we get to the children's hospital they tell us he is perfectly healthy and that we did not need to come and that they don't know why the Dallas regional made is come they flat out lied to our face and they were all incompetent this is the absolute worst hospital I have ever been to or even heard of do not go to this hospital I would rather drive an hour to another hospital in pain than deal with the stupid lieing staff

THIS HOSPITAL IS THE WORST... THEY SENT MY MOM HOME WITH 2BROKEN RIBS(4&5) LEFT SIDE, & DIDNT EVEN DO A RECENT XRAY TO CHECK HER RIBS BEFORE SENDING HER HOME...AND A BLOOD CLOT THE SIZE OF A GOLF BALL. AND NO MEDICATION. AND THE WHOLE WEEK SHE WAS ADMITTED, THE DR. NEVER ONCE CAME IN AND EXPLAINED THE DIAGNOSIS, AND HER BED SHEETS WHERE ONLY CHANGED ONE TIME. THE GUY NEXT DOOR HAD SURGERY AND HIS FLUID BAG WAS LEAKING ALL OVER HIM AND THE FLOOR AND HE WAS PAGING THE NURSES STATION FOR 25 MIND AND NO ONE CAME TO HELP HIM SO HE HAD TO SEND A FAMILY MEMBER DOWN THERE AND THREATEN TO SUE THEM BEFORE THEY HELPED HIM.

I was released the other day after an 8 day stay on 2 South at the hospital. Everyone from the ER, to the nurses, techs, lab, nutrition, and care coordinators on my floor were wonderful. If there was a problem someone was always there to fix it and follow up with me. I can't thank them all enough!

The absolute worst medical experience of my life. ...

The absolute worst medical experience of my life. There were several great nurses and employees who were all planning on leaving and there were more that were rude, uncaring and downright incompetent. I was in excruciating pain and was ignored for hours on end. The ambulance driver recommended them, I should hav known better. My insurance company paid them and then they sent me a bill that translated to over $15,000 per day. The billing office will not return calls. The food was inedible, I lost 15 pounds in 10 days that was the only good thing about it. Avoid this hospital at all costs.

Wish I could give 0 stars. I have no idea how this disgusting hospital is still in business. I do NOT recommend anyone choosing this hospital for any type of care. My aunt died in this hospital, due to a misdiagnosis. Stay clear from this hospital, and go to a nicer one, with better educated staff.

I visited the ER on Sunday with shortness of breath and pain and tightness in my chest unaware of what may be happening to me....the staff was very fast in checking me in and getting me back to a room to start the whole process of labs and test to be ran, everyone was very professional and comforting during the whole ER process. Unfortunately it turned out I had to be unexpected admitted and that process didn't take very long and once in my room staff was excellent, very attentive to all my needs and concerns. Every staff member that entered my room from the doctors, nurses, PCT's, US techs, cafeteria workers, and housekeeping they made my stay very comforting and assured me that they really care. I would return for future care.

My experience April 2019.
1. Lowest level of cleaning.
2. Rude behavior.
3. Non Availability of Doc in ER.
4. Left ER due to above reasons, went to another

5. Still received bill for no service.
6. I reported in writing to CEO and staff.
7. Received funniest answer," that's the best they

The laziest staff ever. Filthy filthy filthy! If you dont have cash or co payment they WILL deny service. Rude staff. When my friends mom was in there, they wouldnt even empty the bed pan into the toilet. They dump it into the trash can for all to smell and sit around, and it wasnt the medical waste basket either.
I was told by a doctor to not go to this hospital when I was pooping blood, I said dont worry, I wasnt planning on it. The staff acts like your putting them out just by being there, you get attitudes as soon as you walk in. Oh, and they always say with a snotty undertone that its going to be a 4 hour wait. They always say that busy or not like they are trying to get you to go somewhere else.
The place is ridiculous. Its like they found the laziest, rude, unprofessional people they could find and hired all of them. If your emergency can wait a few minutes I would go to rockwall or Sunnyvale. seriously

Dallas regional was the only hospital that would accept my Husband without insurance. They were an hour and a half away from us and we had never even heard of the hospital prior. I honestly am so glad they did! They took him with open arms and began aggressively treating him. They found much more wrong with him that the previous hospital did not find. They were fantastic. Our day nurse Jamie was the absolute best. She was so verbal and so sweet. She let us know what was being done and when. Due to Covid I was only supposed to be visiting during hours but the charge nurses agreed that I was a caregiver and I didn t need to buy a hotel just to be with my husband. Which I will be forever grateful for. You guys were phenomenal. Thank you a million times for being so great with my husband and caring for him so aggressively and perfectly. We will never forget the service or care provided. Thank you so much!

I'm about 11 weeks pregnant, I had a threatened miscarriage, I went to Dallas regional medical center, obviously to the emergency room. I walked in and they gave me a paper to fill out, I was in so much pain that I didn't want to sit down so I stood by the front table and the woman , very rudely, told me to get away from the table and sit down. I didn't like it at all. After filling out the paper, I sat waiting for 4 hours, keep in mind I'm pregnant and in much pain. When they finally took me to my room, my blood pressure was getting very low & they wouldn't let me eat for 3 hours, even though I hadn't ate since breakfast, so in total I hadn't ate for 7 hours and I was starving, I do not recommend going there at all. Employees are rude, they're attending is horrible. I wouldn't go back there again.

I work at Dallas Regional and recently was an outpatient too. I had the best experience! Admitting was fast and professional. The Day Surgery and Endoscopy nurses were attentive, explained each process and very caring. The heated blankets made me feel like I was in a spa! The anesthesiologist was very informative and made me feel at ease. My husband was waiting in the hall for a few minutes and several employees stopped to ask him if he needed assistance. I recommend this home town hospital and am proud to call Dallas Regional my employer.

Went to emergency for abnormal vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain on 9/22/18 around 9pm. The triage nurse was very unfriendly, seemed uncaring, very blunt, rude, didn t explain to me what and why he was doing what he was doing? Got back to a room? I was bleeding vaginally very bad? The nurse never gave me a gown to change into for a transvaginal sonogram, the doctor nor the nurse explained my treatment plan, what they were going to do?! The nurse refused to disconnect my IV but request a urine sample so I had to carry the IV fluids to the filthy bathroom that wreaked of urine, had urine all over the floor, sink, toilet ? I request for a blanket and finally received one after 30 minutes? The only professional staff I encountered during my visit was the CT tech , a lady from Romania. She was kind, caring, and attentive to my needs, provided me with a warm blanket, ensured I was aware of how to contact the nurse in case I have an emergency. The nurse never ensured I knew how to reach him in case of an emergency, he also gave me medicine in my IV without verifying my name, DOB, allergies, neither did he explain / educate me on what and why he was giving me. I m a RN and would not ever treat a patient the way I was treated during my distress?! I would rather drive 30 minutes away than to return to Dallas regional ever again for my health care needs! From a professional point of view, I would not recommend this hospital to treat a sprained limb!

This hospital needs government attention.

This hospital needs government attention.
1. 6:30pm ER air conditioning not working. Lack of communication between stuff. Staff lacked reading patient logs or not even reading them. Ex. No body knew if I was able to eat or until when, I asked one of the nurses and said I m not suppose to eat .
2. 9:30pm I was moved to second floor without eating anything supposedly for a test they needed to do.
10:00pm I asked the nurse she didn t know she said. I said can you find out ? She came back around 10:15pm she said you can eat but after midnight you can t. The nurse brought a ham sandwich with ice in the middle of it. I did not eat it all and reported to the nurse and she said that was all the had .
3. 10:30 pm hot in room went to the restroom to find out it was all dirty. There was a rusted chair in the bathtub floor look like they didn t mop good.
4. Next day Sunday around 6:30 am blood work was done.
5. 7:30 am, I asked can I eat now? Nurses didn t know. One of the nurses said she did not know all she knew was that the cafeteria was short of personnel and they were running about one hour late .
6. 8:30 am I asked another nurse I m hungry can I eat? She said she didn t know.
7. 9:00am called the nurse, the nurse came back and she said I cannot eat until they see drs authorization.
8. 10:30am Dr said all the results from my test are normal. All I needed was a stress test. Guess what? The stress test can only be made on weekdays. Dr said I needed to stay in the hospital until Monday .
9. 11:30 am, I m hungry I asked the nurse again, am I going to be able to eat lunch? She said not sure she ll find out
10. 12:30pm. I m starving I called the nurse and said I m so hungry, the nurse said she doesn t have the Dr s authorization. I said can you call the dr, she said she will find out. I went to sleep.
11. 2:30 pm woke up starving and called the nurse and demanded an answer right away because I cannot handle it
12. 3:00am the nurse said she didn t understand why I m fasting there is no need for that anymore .
13. 3:30m finally they brought lunch to my room
14. 5:00pm they brought dinner to my room
15. 8:30 am Monday, Dr said everything is good I should be able to go home by 12 after the stress test.
16. 1:00pm NO stress test yet, nurses removed IV from arm. My wife is ready at the hospital to pick me up.
17. 2:00 pm called the nurse to ask what is going on ? Of course they didn t know what the heck !
By the way no body clean the room, restrooms , no new blankets
18. 2:30 pm, people from stress test department showed up to my room. They couldn t take me to do the test because I didn t have an IV on my arm .
19. 2:45pm got an IV in and went to do the stress test.
20. 3:45pm back in my room. Room still dirty, cleaning staff did not do a good job cleaning, no new blankets and room is hot.
21. 4:15pm nurse removed IV and said they would be working on discharge paperwork.
22. 5:00pm still no paper work. I asked again
23. 5:45pm still not paper work
24. 6:00pm I asked again they said they are not ready yet. My wife missed a day at work that evening waiting form me to be discharged .
I walked away.
Communication between nurses themselves and drs are the Worst. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hospital.

I had previously shared a 4 star review for the labor and delivery department of this hospital from an experience back in January.

That was before my 9 month old was suddenly diagnosed with 2 rare congenital heart defects that this hospital failed to detect or test for, even after observing a murmur at birth. One was severe enough that we were not allowed home and were sent to the ICU immediately despite no observable symptoms (other than a murmur)

1 out of 125 children are born with congenital heart disease. It's way more common than you think. For the sake of your newborns please consider a better hospital (like Medical City Dallas) that has fetal echocardiogram capabilities. Or at the minimum make sure you ask for an echo to be performed shortly after birth to make sure everything is normal.

Worst hospital ever you wait for hours in the waiting area, doctor does not introduce himself, not friendly at all, diagnosis from the moment he walks in, doesn t seem like he loves his job, in all honesty it takes him 4 minutes in the room and leaves what kind of BS is that, I d love to go to school where he went to have the job he has it s probably worse than parkland hospital, so people if you cherish your life go elsewhere. By the way I had to get the doctors name by a different staff member and his name is John E Caldwell

I had my baby here a few days ago and my overall experience was good. The overnight nursery nurse was a little brash regarding my breastfeeding as I was having trouble getting my son to latch but everyone else was great and friendly. I want to specifically thank Ashlee, the morning/day l&d nurse I had as she went above and beyond with my care. She was very patient, reaffirmed I was doing a great job even with my anxiety, and was just so sweet and provided probably the best interaction I've ever had with someone in a hospital.

This was my first time visiting this hospital, although I've passed it many times since I am from the area. The hospital is a bit old and outdated. The walls are an off white color with simple paintings along the hallways. The hospital is only about 3 stories tall. We visited my grandmother on the 3rd floor that was accessible from the South elevator. It was quite a walk from the North end which is where I parked. The sheets that was on my grandmother's hospital bed had holes in it so it indicated that they don't really maintain their bedding really well. I certainly wouldn't choose this hospital for my medical care and questioned my grandmother for going here. She normally goes to Baylor Dallas but due to the nature of her emergency, the EMT chose this hospital since it was closer to her home. The only staff member that I interacted with was at the entrance and she was friendly.

THIS IS ONE OF THEWORSE HOSPITALS WE HAVE EVER ATTENDED! My husband and I came and they performed all un-needed testing for 3 hours which resulted in a $7,000 + bill!!!! I don't quite understand the issue but you can clearly tell that the staff doesn't care and they just come for the paycheck! You can also clearly tell they hate their job! This place needs to be closed down!!!

My dad was brought to this hospital in January by ambulance. After waiting 45 mins to see him we walked in seeing him struggling to breathe & his spo was 70 with no oxygen being given. I had to point this out to the doctor. The whole week he was there the doctors really had no clue what was wrong with him & on Jan 12th he died in the ICU. This hospital is the worst & killed my dad. I have no idea why they are even open. This isn t my 1st experience with them either. 4 years prior they sent my husband home to die. DO NOT take anyone to this hospital. I have read reviews & I m not the only one that feels this way. They must be exposed.

My visit to Dr. Srinivas went very well. I was on time for my appointment and it started on time. Dr. Srinivas's staff is friendly, courteous, professional, and efficient. Dr. Srinivas reviewed with me the findings of the tests that had just been run, discussed my medications with me, and gave me good advice on what I can do on my own to improve my overall health. As a Medicare patient, I am confident in and pleased with Dr. Srinivas and his staff in attending to my heart-related medical needs.

Please do not come here unless you're 3 seconds away from death. You'll find more compassion at Parkland or Baylor. They're rude and uncaring, unfriendly, and I heard the nurses literally laughing and talking about me outside the examining room in emergency... the doctor I had seemed like he didn't want to be there and I was wasting his time

Waiting here while a family member is in surgery. ...

Waiting here while a family member is in surgery. To say this hospital is merely adequate may be a bit of an overstatement. It s pretty run down looking, coffee is just bad, and the cafe is out of date, small, and unwelcoming. The food looked okay, but I didn t try it. All of the staff are friendly and helpful, and they are the reason for the two stars. I asked my wife not to ever bring me here not even if it s an emergency.

I have been trying to can tact someone in the payment department for three days. I have left several voice mails and filled out the contact us for at least two times. I still cannot get help. The one time I got a real.person she stated that she was processing payment ts and couldn't help me until the next day, the next day comes and her number is disconnected. I have made a payment, I have the proof on my statement and I'm still getting letters.... this is insane..

I had heard good and bad things about this hospital but I will have to say overall I was please with the service my mother received. We had requested her to be taken to a different hospital but was told they were not accepting patience's. I called the other hospital and was told they were not turning away anyone.. Hummmmm

Staff in ER were very friendly and helpful, we were in ER for about 11 hrs waiting on a bed upstairs. Finally moved upstairs and received very good care from the staff in 3 South. Many thanks to the RN's and the Patient Care Tech's that took great care of my mother.

The least helpful person was the Social Worker at the hospital. She told me one thing did something totally different. On our initial visit she would make statements saying I know what you want to ask and this is the answers. I informed her she did not know what I wanted to ask. She refused to listen and only talked. This Blonde lady has no people skills at all.

The 2 stars are for the staff & nurses. My husband went there because he was throwing up & in stomach pain. Wish the dr would of visited his room more then one time. They had a problem with the x-ray machine so it took 3 hours just to get an x-ray. Then they had a hard time figuring out if he had a bowel blockage. The dr. kept telling him different things. First the dr. says he may need surgery, next time he said he may have chrons( probably misspelled). Then today the dr saw him and mentioned the kidneys and walked right out of the room with out an explanation. While I was with my husband the gastroenterologist came in and asked questions, and didn't even check him out. I should of spoke up and said something. I know you have to ask questions, but what is wrong with checking him out.
They sent him home because he was able to eat soft food, but they didn't even give him prescription for metformine, or any of the other meds. Wish he could of stayed at lake point in Rockwell. They took better care of him. It only took 3 days to get better

This place is not a hospital, it's a circus for nurses. Nothing but beginners working on my cousin just awful at everything, up to poking his arm trying to find a vein.I requested another nurse but they send one worse then the last. Sweet jesus then with the machines we tried to get him transferred asap but my cousin recovered on his own. The only hospital I know that doesn't allow you to stay with a family member in critical condition. They kick you out at 9pm. Worst hospital ever will not recommend this hospital to anyone.

This place should be shut down. I can't believe they call themselves a hospital. The emergency room is a joke. There is no doctor on duty and after I waited an hour for nothing they would not even give me assistance outside where my ride was waiting even though I was in severe pain and having difficulty walking. Radiology has cancelled my mammogram twice due to the equipment breaking down. Don't waste your time with them.

WHY WOULD I DRIVE THERE.

I was refused treatment because I asked for a whee...

I was refused treatment because I asked for a wheelchair. No, seriously, let me explain. I was taken into triage, but only AFTER I was forced to stand and wait a good ten minutes while the front desk employee spoke with another member of the staff (in my opinion, the staff member should've been placed on hold, she was not a patient and was discussing billing, not patient care) in extreme pain, and heart flutters with dizziness and nausea. I'd fallen and smacked my head on the windowsill hours before.

Anyway, finally get admitted to triage. The wait time was not bad, I'll give them that. The triage nurse is TERRIBLE, and I wish I'd gotten her name. I asked for a barf bag just in case, and you'd have thought I asked her to locate the closest unicorn. Ended up having to hold a trash can full of used thermometer covers (the part that goes into sick patient's mouth) up to my face. So then the nurse wants me to lie down with a neck brace on. Not once did she check my heart in all this, which was my reason for admittance, the concussion came up secondarily. I get that concussions are bad, but heart attacks are a little more urgent (thankfully that was not the case).

Then I made the mistake of asking her not to use an attitude with my fiance because I was already feeling sick enough. My fiance had mentioned that I hadn't been offered a wheelchair and I was very dizzy and she snapped at him. After I asked her not to use an attitude, please, she called security. Called. Security. Not before shouting to the receptionist, though, who could not find the complaint forms when I asked for them and kept telling me "they're just around the corner there..." If you can guess by the way this story is progressing, they weren't "just around the corner there."

The charge nurse came out and started speaking down to me, asking if I knew how triage worked and sometimes there was a wait time (??? I never said anything about wait time and even said something about how fast it was when we walked in triage) and kept generally speaking down to me. The entire time, one of the other nurses was laughing at us. At that point I obviously did not want this hospital to get any kind of business out of me, so my fiance and me left and had to drive fifteen miles to Baylor Garland (HIGHLY recommend them, amazing staff).

So anyway, all that said: RUN. RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN. This hospital is a joke.
