I went in on Saturday with my husband and five year old because I was having intense abdominal pain so much that I couldn't stand without writhing in pain, I was hyperventilating and crying and they had me sit in the waiting room for FORTY minutes before even checking me in. Their ER resembles more of an urgent care..people with the sniffles got taken care of ahead of me despite the obvious fact that I was clearly in immense pain. I should have just called 911 and had them transport me to Baylor, I would have gotten treated there faster! It took them SIX hours to do a CAT scan and run some blood and urine..ridiculous. My husband and son left to get food because they were starving and hadn't eaten dinner and we'd been there so long and the ditz at the check-in desk wouldn't let them back in!

This is not the first time this has happened. My husband took our neighbor in because she was having trouble breathing and chest pains. They waited over an hour to be seen. She had bronchitis and pneumonia. Another time my five year old busted his head open and needed 5 stitches. He was gushing blood down his face, screaming and crying and they made us sit and fill out forms and wait for almost 20 minutes. At least get the poor kid checked in while we fill out the paperwork! Never again will we be coming here.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because my ER Nurse, April was a rock star and did everything she could to take care of me and my family.

Hated it, lousy care.

Hated it, lousy care.
Understaffed & majority of those are rude, unconcerned, basically just don't give a rat's tail.
Been taken there a couple of times.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE never again!
Would rather be taken to a veterinarian.
Bound to receive better care.

I am very satisfied with the results of my son's surgery. I feel so much better now that he is all fixed up. The nurses and doctors are outstanding. They kept me informed on decisions that were best for my son and made sure I understood what was happening. I'm currently in the ICU wing watching my son sleep in comfort. We go home tomorrow.

Long story short rude customer service!! Kathy Lewis in check-in rolled her eyes at me twice and all I needed to know is where I needed to check my grandfather in. The only reason I kept my grandfather here is because they saved his life twice and also saved my friend's life. Amazing docters but have the worst staff.

If you dont have insurance, I wouldn't recommend this hospital. Most of the ER staff is rude and doesn't show much compassion. They do the minimal when your not insured. They couldn't find a thing wrong and had no explanation as to why a patient was in so much pain. Another hospital found a very serious problem that could paralyze a patient for life. Insurance or not!

My daughter fell and hit her head and I wanted to make sure that she was okay.(7months old) Was there for 3 hours was never seen so I decided to leave. On the way out the door I was stoped to come back to sign papers.....so I kindly asked what is it exactly that I was signing....the lady proceeded to say that I needed to sign for my daughter being seen and so that the insurance company can pay them... I looked at her like seriously? I said no I'm not signing anything because she was never seen. And all she had to say was ok.......how F**king rude ,Never apologized for the wait or stop to see if she could get someone to see my daughter.... COSTUMER SERVICE IS PISS POOR....and when I checked to see how many ppl was before my daughter to get placed in a room the nurse/receptionist said she didn't know and continued to be on her cell phone....EMERGENCY ROOM IS A JOKE AND COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!!!!

Just came in for a check up and the place looked very dirty. There was spider webs in the waiting room. The doctors are nice and knowledgeable, but the hospital needs a deep clean. Didn t think a hospital would be so dirty with covid going around. It s like they don t care.

This is the worst hospital ever. My mom went here because she was in pain and felt a numbing feeling in her head. After waiting 6+ hours to be seen, they only collected urine only... No blood, didn't check her temp or blood pressure and sent her home with some meds saying she's fine. Two days later at work she had excruciating pains in her lower abdomen. Went to a different hospital to find out she had cysts or whatever that had ruptured, high blood pressure and a couple more things.

the "nurses" & "doctors" need to take their time and actually CARE for the patients. What the hell are you playing with people health for? A little girl also went there with a fever not feeling well and they said it was strep throat or something and sent her home. The next day she passed away. Again, they didn't do a thorough check with her neither as they should have.

I wouldn't recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. Thank God they built TRMC !

1) Out of the five health care providers that entered my room in the ER: the Doctor, ER Tech/ Paramedic, two RN's, and an Ultrasound Tech, only the Ultrasound Tech sanitized her hands upon entering and exiting my room.

2) The ER Tech didn't wear gloves when he inserted a catheter into my hand. He wiped my hand with a sani-wipe then wiped his fingernail with it, then wiped my hand with it again, then inserted the catheter. Blood poured on the bed, he used a sani-wipe that he already used to clean it up with gloveless hands, and nevered sanitized his hands, not even upon leaving the room.

3) Only the Ultrasound Tech respected my right to privacy and closed the door and the curtain upon entering and exiting the room. No one should have to lay in the hospital half naked and have the door wide open for anyone to gawk at you.

4) The triage nurse never said "Hello", even while she took my vital signs, never even looked at my face.

5) The doctor told me matter-of-factly that she would only rule out two possible emergency situations and any other information would have to be provided by my Primary Care Physician; she never talked to me about what it could be or what I should do to be comfortable until I could see my PC.

6) I used facial tissue to wipe my nose, provided on the bedside table, only to discover that there were used, moist, crumpled tissues already stuffed down in the box --- absolutely disgusting. Was it a patient with tuberculosis, HIV, Hep B, influenza?

The Emergency Room staff at Dallas Regional Medical Center is incompetent in the most basic protocols for preventing the spread of disease, customer service is non-existent, and the doctors that I've encountered in the ER thus far, are apathetic to their patients' experience.

For the record... I'm only leaving one star because they don't offer negative stars. I wouldn't send my worst enemy on their death bed to this hospital the emergency room was filthy, the wait time was horrible the staff was clueless and they simply don't give a damn about helping you. Had I read these reviews prior I would've just stayed home and prayed or just simply went elsewhere and to top it all off I waited 6 hours for them to not even help me.

My mom when there to the ER. Worst hospital. All they care is money. They were rude, did no test on her.they never ask if she has insurance ( she does) and told us to pay $370 to let her go home. Knowing how they treated my mother, I or any of my family wont go there.where is the care for the patients? Sad.

Was admitted this time around couldn't even get things straight it took me a whole day to get a room an when I got one nothing in there was working the Nursing tech's were so lazy to come to see what was wrong took almost an hour to get to you an give the meds it's like they don't care about you but yeah some nurses were awesome some of them were not having it this all happened after I tested negative for COVID it was the closest Hospital for my sister that lives close by to take me things I needed. I was there way before like 5 years ago but it suddenly changed so much I thank my Physician that transferred me to The Speciality Hospital across the street I guess he liked it better that's why I was transferred but it was new to me to go over there and finish my treatment over there. That's my experience with this Hospital

Dallas Regional Medical Center also known as DRMC ...

Dallas Regional Medical Center also known as DRMC is a great hospital. The facility is much smaller in comparison to other major hospitals in the DFW metroplex. Although it's smaller it is still equipped with great doctors and nurses as well as medical support staff. Please do not try to visit patients after 9pm. The building gets locked down after 9pm and you need a security transport to move throughout the bldg after 9pm. That was a bit annoying but most definitely reassuring that security was on top of things.

I want to know who makes the calls in this "HOSPITAL"?? Who in their right mind would send a 3 month old baby home after being sent there in an Ambulance from his Pediatrician, his doctors office! I mean if his own doctor can't help him and a hospital says they can't. What the hell position does that put the parent in?? Thankfully Childrens In Plano took him in later that night. He stayed in the ICU for almost a week in good hands!

Never have we had better service in a hospital. The employees at Childrens hospital in Dallas need to come take lessons for the doctors and nurses here. Everyone here is so pleasant and happy to help and it is not fake. I don t know what happen at Children s but they must HATE their jobs and take it out on the patients.

I had a terrible experience here! The day nurse was great, but my night nurse was rude. She did not explain my discharge paper work to me. What exactly was going on or what diet I should consider. I actually had to look up what my diagnosis ment and what caused it. She seemed prejudiced. She would not answer any of my questions. She was not friendly or warm. Where are the true caregivers?

My mother had her MAKO-plasty double knee surgery here performed by Dr. Abdo. The surgery was amazingly successful. My mother was a handful. She had a reaction to the morphine and low blood sugar and was hallucinating for two days... throughout it all the nurses, techs (especially Russell) and physical therapists were undaunted by her and made sure she was very well taken care of.

She made a rapid full recovery and within 3 weeks of surgery had climbed up her first full flight of stairs in years!

Thank you Dr. Abdo and team and especially the DRMC team who were kept absolutely hopping by my mom.

My mother spent about a week there. I noticed unsanitary practices like no hand washing when entering and exiting rooms. I saw nurses taking blood without gloves. The rooms were not cleaned daily. My mother remained dirty from a bowel movement for at least 4 hours. Charge Nurse got attitude and refused to come in room. Medication doses were missed. She went back to LTAC hospital where after 3 days she was diagnosed with c-diff. My mother is 70 and as been in and out of hospitals most of her life. This was the worst.

my girlfriend delivered her. when we came and checked in a few months ago the nurse was very nice and gave us a little tour. the rooms are very easy to find because its a small hospital. when we finally came after her water broke our first nurse was very nice but seemed a littlee....unexperienced i guess...the morning nurse who i believe was sheila or sheina was AMAZING she tried everything for my gf to deliver vaginally, but it didnt happen. the c section went very smooth dr. yang did fantastic. monica was another nurse a little hard to understand but she just gives a WONDERFUL vibe my gf really liked her. and they feed her 3 times a day provide pillows blankets all that good stuff. the nursery nurses are absolutely great every single one of them you can tell your baby is in great hand with them! hospital needs a few nurses to fix there attitudes but overall we would come back to this hospital and we do recommend it. just our expirience hope this helps!

I have had a grandmother that was recently sick that went here. After a week we started herring that she was getting sicker not because of her but the doctors. They had mixed up the vitamins she was supposed to get. So now instead of getting better she started hallucenating. Then the doctors were slow to respond to that. So finally we had to transfer her to Baylor to get the right treatment and now she's finally getting better. But overall I recommend never to go to this hospital. I could get better treatment at an insane asylum than at this hospital.

Was advised by emt after my daughter called 911 for chest pains I was having to go get checked out for my sake, so I had to come here cause it was closest. I've had sub par experiences here in the past, so I was in fear of being treated. I'm surprised I survived from there to the actual hospital floor. The only staff at the ER whom I actually trust there was my attending physician, the nurse who actually started my IV, the guards, the P.A and the one young dark haired nurse who kept reassuring me everything would be ok after the two blond haired nurses tag teamed me all that night by jumping me in front of the entire ER and tried to get me arrested right there for complaining about them poking me numerous times, my brother calling the nurses station to ask them to check a monitor in my room, and then not knowing how to give those multiple covid tests. My arms were full of needle marks and a vein was blew. It was horrible. We don't always like making trips to the ER for chronic conditions we can't help but to have, just like some nurses don't like the careers they chose; but still, why act so ignorant, be so rude, and treat people like animals? Something needs to be done about this place for real.EDIT: Noticed someone left a message for me to email them like they were actually concerned, but conveniently left out any relevant contact info. Who are you? Whom do I email and to what address? Lol. Seems like some subterfuge at play, but I expected as much.

My Experience at Dallas Regional Hospital on the n...

My Experience at Dallas Regional Hospital on the night of July 4th 2014 was not at all a good one. I had hoped to either get Dr. Michelle Hicks or Dr. Yed Lapalli Sri and both of these physicians are excellent and they listen and want to hear what you have to say about your condition and your concerns.

The physician I unfortunately saw was Dr. Jean Dymott. Dr. Dymott greeted me in with impatience. I attempted to inform her of my experiences through the day which included nausea and I had trouble with my eyes and sudden profuse sweating and could not keep food down. The Dr. informed me that it was a hot day and I told the doctor that I was inside all day. My hereditary issues are strokes and heart attacks. I attempted to tell the doctor of the contagious disease that I have been exposed to over the past year but she would not hear of it and told me that I am suffering from the heat I told her again I was inside all day not outside and she abruptly and sharply in a disrespectful manner to take off all my cloths and she would be back in.

At this point I had had enough of her nasty attitude and her unwillingness to the information that was or might be relevant to my condition. I was polite, respectful, and I tried to communicate and cooperate with her but at this point I did not trust her as I felt she was reckless by her attitude and behavior so I went to the nurses station and informed them I would not be under Dr. Dymott's care and I signed out as refusing to be treated by Dt. Dymott.

The nurse I first saw when taking my blood pressure I asked if I was doing the right thing since my blood pressure is very high and I was told Oh Yes you need to be here. I felt like I was going to have an impending stroke or a heart attack that evening. I took a chance in driving myself there and leaving there.

This is not an attack on Dr. Dymotts character as a human being. The problem is that her responsibility of being a caring physician is absent. Now this encounter of her coming into the room looking at me was very brief with a hefty price tag of over 550 dollars for her to impatiently almost to the point of contempt treating me like a piece of chewing gum stuck to the bottom of her shoe.

Now upon reading what she had signed off on in my medical records there are some false hoods there. Dr. Dymotts summery said that my condition was Fair but in reality my heart was pounding in my ears and I was currently experiencing heart palpitations. I was never told neither by staff nor by Dr. Dymott at this point to not leave. This also is a false hood.

Another false hood by Dr. Dymott is that I had EXTENSIVE HEAT EXPOSURE in all caps as the doctor wrote. At their worst the symptoms were mild just before my arrival. This is false. I had a very difficult time driving myself to the ER.

Also I never said that I was going to self care. I went to the hospital expecting care.

The examination part of my medical records is not entirely correct as my left arm and hand had numbness but was stated as not having numbness. Dizziness is something I experience very frequently since a concussion from a parachute accident in the early 70's I wake with vertigo about twice a week. I walk with the aid of a cane this too was not noted.

The Hospital did not fail me it is unfortunate that by the luck of the draw I got a physician that has no business working in a facility that cares for people. Dr.Jean Dymott might better serve the community in a different career.

The Hospital bill was 328 dollars.

Dr. Dymotts bill is 558 dollars for not one thing.

Wow unto those who trust in Dr. Jean Dymott

I m speaking for my sister who is in this hospital at this very moment fighting for her life. She has pneumonia and has Covid 19. She tried calling the nurses for help but she couldn t reach them so she called me to get help. I was patient with the lady at the front yet concerned as too why she couldn t connect to the other side. Nobody was answering the receptionist. I said nothing bad to the receptionist. She then transfers me so and the phone rings for a while nobody answers. I then get a call back from the receptionist ready to transfer me to the right place. I spoke with someone and she answered some of my concerns. She thought I was nice because before I hung up, I hear her say, she wasn t mad she was actually nice. Turns out Jennifer...tall white lady with short hair decided to go approach my very ill sister and tell her to handle me or she would handle me....that is no way to talk to a patient and especially to a patient who is ill. She is constantly being rude to her and it s upsetting now. Now I m upset. She feels like she is dying and the person who is supposed to take care of her is being extremely rude and mistreating her by telling her unnecessary feed back. I will report her and this hospital to the DSHS and The Joint Commission if this hospital doesn t handle their nurse. She might have a bad day but that is no way to talk to a patient. Sometimes they have to be stern but not aggressive telling her to handle me before Jennifer handles me. For what? I wasn t being rude to begin with. The lady I spoke with even said so. Smh

One nurse made me cry twice in one day by ignoring me when I needed her for pain and nausea and then told me later she didn't care I was in pain she wasn't calling the doctor. Their solution was giving me a different nurse who was helpful. All in all an alright stay but they discharged me without my prescriptions having to make me go back to get them then they weren't on the right paper so they called them in and they weren't even the right prescriptions. So now I'm still in pain and still have nausea. I'm reporting them to everyone that will listen. There are a few good staff members there that I saw but it doesn't make up for the lack of professionalism and care and their discharge fiasco

Went in for chest pain, after getting to the back the doctor comes in he never told me his name I had to look at his badge. They didn't give anything at the E.R for chest pain. After all my test came back good, the nurse told me to take Motrin and go see my family doctor. The doctor never came back. I was there from 10pm to about 2am, I most definitely won't be going back. I found Dr. Hasan by researching gastroenterologist in my area. I was a little nervous as I had not been referred by my general doctor and didn t know what to expect. Dr. Hasan was very informative and took the time to explain different things that could be going on with my stomach. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions. After prescribing meds and ordering tests, I can truly say that my 2-year stomach and digestive problems have improved to the point where I am at about 90% back to normal and things just keep getting better every day. I would recommend Dr. Hasan to anyone needing relief from gastrointestinal issues.

I was admitted to ER for high Blood Sugar, and I also mentioned what else I had. at first they were very nice and professional, but when they found out I don't have insurance they treat me indifferent way. I wasn't feeling good at this very moment and giving medication in different stuff, the nurses were rude, and not even gigving me any medication for my blood sugar or to my sinus , and cough. the nurse suggested to get it over the counter but other than that nothing else not giving me anything at all. I cried so hard because I dont feel good, I wouldn't go to ER if I am feeling better or I can handle the pain. THIS HOSPITAL IS THE WORST HOSPITAL EVER, I WANT TO SUED THEM FOR TREATING ME SO BADLY. My wife had a difficult delivery and the staff at this hospital worked fast, stayed calm, and took good care of both my wife and my newborn. Their knowledgeable care made a scary and painful experience as good as it could have been. Our nurses were so sweet and attentive and the doctors were no-nonsense and we felt like they kept us in the loop with everything happening. My wife and my newborn were discharged healthy and we are grateful to all the care providers we encountered during our visit.

This is the worst hospital to go to! I walked in the ER 8 months pregnant complaining about stomach pain and contractions. The receptionist told me to take a seat and fill out the paperwork instead of sending me DIRECTLY to labor and delivery. I waited 15 minutes before i was even taken to the delivery floor and still had to wait when i got in the delivery room to be put on a monitor. Waiting about an hour and 10 minutes on that monitor, not knowing that whole time my son was in distress and his HR was at 100 and had even dropped to 90, causing him to have less oxygen before i was even rushed to surgery for and emergency c-section, fighting for my life and my son s life. I LOST MY SON due to Cardiopulmonary failure . My placenta detached and i feel it was due to negligence and TIMING. This hospital has NO NICU Team (Newborn ICU). They only have a newborn nursery. I should of NEVER had to wait ... I can t post negative stars so my only option is to put 1star..

I had a heart attack on 21 st ofSept 2019 . I was taken to the hospital.
At the hospital I was attended to promptly by the emergency care physician and the cardiologist. It was explained to me and my wife in detail my problem . I was made comfortable and reassured. Investigations were done including a coronary angiogram by Dr Gunukula. He discussed various possibilities with me and suggested that the best course for me would be to undergo a coronary bypass. I underwent the procedure on 26th of Sept after I was stabilized. I am perfectly fine now and symptom free. I am 65 yrs old and am able to undertake a brisk walk for 3 1/2 miles without any problem. Thank you Doctors and supporting Staff

This is the worst hospital on the planet. They will keep you as long as they can to bill your insurance $$$$$ with no attention, no meds, and no help. The first night my mother was there, they had her in a room without a TV. She was there for hypertension and the first night I believed they checked her blood pressure once the first night. Every day she was there they kept saying they were keeping her for testing but no tests were being performed.

Go anywhere but here...you'll regret it. You've been warned.

I'm appalled guys. I was in the ER for nausea and vomiting. I also have an extensive medical history and more medical knowledge than the average American. I was given the lowest dose of THE ONE nausea med I specifically said does very little for me, then was given other meds orally that could have easily been given through my I.V.

Needless to say, I was uncomfortable the whole time there and felt like I would be back vomiting at any moment. When I asked my nurse if she could check and see if I can get more nausea meds, she returned with discharge papers, and was told I had to wait for my uber outside.

I was sent home with my blood pressure low, a fever of 100.2, nauseous, and in pain. I fainted as soon as I got home.

Terrible, nasty, dirty hospital. It looks like the floor never gets clean. The room look like it never gets sanitize and it just was very dirty. The nurse who finally changed my grandfather's bandage(after we told her about 3 times) didn't clean his wound and just left blood running down his arm. A lot of bad stuff to write on here. I'm done.

I went there late on a Sunday with a relative who had the flu and upper respiratory infection. He wanted to use a wheelchair as he was feeling light headed and dizzy. I am female so I thought that made sense as he is too big for me to catch if he should fall. The female who called us inside and took down his information into the computer was rude. She felt that it was her place to try and belittle my relative because he had not gotten the flu shot and that he should get up and walk. It is his right to take a flu shot or not to take one. It is not her place to try and make him feel bad about his decision. There is no guarantee that a person will not get the flu even if they have the shot. And as far as the wheelchair goes, that is what they are for.
Also, when time to leave, the male nurse who came in and quickly rattled off the instructions was also rude. He sat perched on the desk with his feet propped against the bed. Very unprofessional and waaaay too comfortable. My relative asked for a letter for his job but the male nurse didn't want him to have one. He said that he himself does his job even when he is sick. My relative tried to explain that there is no way he could do his job as he works with machines and being lightheaded and dizzy could cause injury for himself. Finally, he angrily left to get a letter which it looks like he himself wrote for one day off.
These were the worst, most non-caring, most ignorant, nonprofessional people I have ever met in a medical facility. I will NOT be returning there.

I had to bring my mother-in-law to this place today - I get it with the virus no one can go in with there loved one. She is 70 something and legally blind - at first they say I can wait in the waiting area - where you can clearly see dry blood on the floor - big hint there on how good they are - I do not know what they plan on doing when they release her she does not know my number - I wonder if they will read the paperwork I have them with my contact info on it - oh the staff knew I was in the waiting area all this time - at least an hour

I didn t have a nurse check up on me for 2 hours, while I was admitted to my room. Please avoid this Hospital by any means necessary. I m surprised this place hasn t closed already.

I would not even give this hospital or doctor sing...

I would not even give this hospital or doctor single star if it wasn't because you have to choose at least one. But my experience with Dr. Steven Holtzman was HORRIBLE, I have come to the conclusion that my dogs VET has more compassion towards my animals than what this so called "doctor" had towards me. I was in EXTREME AND HORRIBLE PAIN DUE TO A BULGING DISC and this "doctor" asked me to lift my left leg and I was trying so hard and in tears and grunting in pain and could not lift it and he kept insisting that I lift it and then he asked me to do the same with my right leg when I told him it hurt he grabbed both of legs from under my knees and pulled them up and I felt like I was going to faint from the pain and that man just let go of my legs like nothing, there was more pain for me.

Then he asked me to sit up and I was struggling to get up and he just kept pushing me to get up by saying "Come on" and kept asking questions and not even caring for my answers and continued to say "Come on" as I am still struggling to sit up and grunting and crying from pain.

Not to mention the nurses my god, I cannot believe these people have an actual degree to be so rude and cold heart towards other people. I just hope they never see one of their family members be treated like I was treated and reading most of these reviews I am not the only one experiencing this type of treatment. THIS IS SO WRONG!!! And as I read on another review, I will not return to this hospital even if I WAS DYING, yes it is closer to my house but no thanks.

I ended up going to PARKLAND and OMG what a difference, as soon as I walked in I was treated with respect and like a human being. When I was seen by the admitting doctor his exact words were "Thank you for letting us take care of you" he was amazing. I told him of my experience at Dallas Regional and he actually apologized for the way I was treated by them and said he would take good care of me. God Bless that doctor. Makes me wonder if any of these doctors or nurses take the time to read these reviews and see how bad they are. How can they sleep at night knowing how they treat people.

Well I been here for 3 days now. And it seems like the nurses and staffs and doctor's are doing well. I haven't complained about anything so far. If I need something they come in right away to check. The doctor explains things very well. The cardiologist Reynolds and his staff did a great job on explaining and made me understand how things were going to work and be. The staff here are friendly and nice. Also the guy that did my MRI was very good on explaining on the procedure. Very nice person. I haven't had any problems so far or concerns. Also all my nurses have helped me and made me feel comfortable.

Some of the staff are courtesy for some part of there but majority probably after the shift changes is scurbulis. I don't understand where they got there hospitality medical training from, they have no concern for their patients and the waiting is unacceptable for emergency services, like it's an emergency room that treated like an all day clinic REALLY! Who does this. They need to get it together but I'll wait....my family member will not be coming back here; worse service ever.

Worst hospital ever. I left crying and in pain I was there more than 4 hours and the nurse only came once asked me what was wrong and left and never came back I waited more than almost 3 hrs in the room waiting for a doctor to come check me .. no blood was taken out no urine. I had nothing connected to me and I was left there in pain !! I will never come back EVER. I rather go to a hospital that s farther than lay there in pain . Doctors and nurses are there to help that s why they get paid !!! Worst hospital ever!! I got my things and left to a different hospital I was taken care of faster than here and the nurses from Baylor Scott and white were so nice and I thank them for helping me when I needed it the most ! DALLAS REGIONAL is not a hospital you want to be at !

This is a horrible hospital for proper medical car...

This is a horrible hospital for proper medical care. My grandmother was taken there by ambulance on teo days ago due to severe head, back, and chest pain as well as constant vomiting. I was away during her admittance and my family members struggled to communicate with the staff due to language barriers. Even so they attempted to inform the staff of my grandmother's medications, her tumor, her inserted shunt, and her radiation treatments. When I arrived the next day my grandmother was still vomiting and in pain and the nurse couldn't answer my questions and told me to wait for the doctor. The doctor then said since her heart was okay she could go home with a prescription for 3 medications she was already on. I told her she already took them and mentioned her tumor and she had no idea about any of it. She then said it was probably due to that and her age and released her still sick as before without actually considering her history. Now we're at Parkland and the doctors found that her tumor is bleeding and is inflamed. Something the other doctors could have found out if they had given her symptoms some importance and run the proper tests. All we left with was a high medical bill. I only gave two stars because they weren't completely rude and based on other reviews here it could have been worse. This hospital definitely need a restructuring of its patient care policies at the very least. The staff needs to be retrained or replaced for people who actually care and know actual medicine.

My husband was taken here today by ambulance because he had a seizure. We were treated with the utmost compassion, kindness and professionalism from everyone in the ER from the time we arrived to the time we left. I am very grateful to everyone who helped my husband for treating us with such kindness during such a difficult time. And we didn't have to wait at all, unlike Baylor's ER which was a dirty, nasty dump where we waited 5 hours in the waiting room before my husband even was seen by a doctor. I am very pleasantly surprised and wish I had taken him to DRMC after the first seizure instead of going to Baylor that time. Hopefully we won't ever have to do this again, but if we do I would go back to DRMC without hesitation.

Agree with most of the comments on here. Terrible experience. My pain was never controlled. No MRI available to diagnose my herniated disc. Basically I was told to follow up with another doctor, but was charged a ridiculous amount of money. The emergency room doctor accused me of abusing pain medication. I've taken pain meds only one other time in my life before this fall which landed me in the ER. I will never go back there again!

I understand patient safety and all but this place is ridiculous. First they run every test possible, and say inconclusive we going to admit. Then 2 hours later call and say come pick up your family member. We found nothing wrong. Then we end up in another ER
