A fantastic local Vancouver attraction that offers activities no matter the time of year.
In summer, there are an array of different hikes for different levels of adventurers.
In the winter, there is an amazing ski resort with a variety of ski runs for all level of skiers and boarders. There is also tubing available for those who dont ski. The chalet is large and inviting, along with options for food and coffee.
Love this place. My only wish is that the prices were cheaper and less people showed up. Great runs. Super friendly staff and great facilities
Great place to take the kids, lots of families and kids. Nice terrain for kids to transition into blue runs.
Best local hill IMO. Although the snow conditions vary from day to day, I find it more consistent than the other 2.
Great day..plenty of snow...facilities are perfect for families, beginners and experts
A great little ski hill, in the heart of the North Shore mountains. Its the best of the 3 local hills. A variety of novice, intermediate and expert runs, several mountains and several chairs. The Crazy Raven restaurant offers very good tasty (almost gourmet) dishes at lunchtime, with a good selection of draught beers. I have a seasons pass for the last 8 years, and love it.
in winter of course, great ski resorts. but in summer, a huge hiking place, lots of great hiking trails start from here, the lions, unnecessary mountain,
saint marks, mount strachan, black mountain, eagle bluff, hollyburn mountain, bowen outlook, etc. many significant trails and much more magnificent views.
Loved it, lots of different trails and the views are amazing.
Great mountain to visit for a ski trip. Lots of runs and beautiful views.
Nice downhill ski place close to town. Not too busy on a weekday. Beautiful view of the city from the top!
Cypress Mountain has a wonderful ski program. I just completed my Adults Learning to Ski program and had an amazing time.
My instructor was Jamie and he was patient, supportive, knowledgeable and clear in his instruction.
I highly recommend the ALTS program for anyone out there looking to learn how to ski!
Been skiing at Cyp for over 10 years+, still love it~
Really convenient to the city and some pretty decent skiing. There's not loads of runs but enough to enjoy for after work or a weekend blast.
It's a big mountain you can hike and bike there's a ski resort you can snowboard ski cross country ski you can tube you can snowshoe you can rent snowshoes skis tubes and snowboards
They have some scenic things left over from the Olympics and some historical things you can walk around and look at
There's a cafeteria style restaurant with a bunch of seating there's usually live music in the ski season they have a bar 19 or older no children it also serves good food
The rule with parking is the later you get there the farther you have to walk from your car to the lift
Great ski hill with a variety of terrain. Best of all, it is conveniently close to the city.
I often have a season pass here. This year was disappointing but the resort has no control over mother nature. It's definitely the biggest ski area in the lower mainland and has an energetic vibe. I come here in the summer as well to hike up Eagle Bluffs and St. Mark's Summit.
I even watched a meteor shower at the lookout a few years back. Nothing but fond memories.
It's the most expensive ski area near Vancouver but you get what you pay for.
Awesome view, nice skiing and snowshoeing!
Love it winter or summer, rain or shine.
World Class snow boarding facility (2010 Winter Olympics). Lots of runs to pick from. The most expensive local Vancouver mountain but also has the most runs and the most to maintain.
Also a great place to take your car up for a drive in the summer months.
Love Cypress. Hands-down the best local mountain if you're good enough to reliably do blue runs.
Had a great time tubing but they let way to many people on in the session. It was quicker to walk up the hill instead of use the lift.
Not sure I get the hype. Honestly nothing too special as resorts in the area go. Arrive at the wrong time and it's a very long walk to the lifts.
Outstanding. Best (local) ski hill in BC from Vancouver. The equipment was brought to you as quickly as possible and the equipment comes with everything you need to have a great time! If it's sunny then the ski hills become soft and lumpy (and much more difficult). It was great for practicing cuts but more difficult to gain speed without falling over. If it's not sunny then you can expect an easy hill but a painful fall. I loved the service there. Thank you Cypress!
Went with a school group, staff was friendly and helpful. The lessons were fun and we all learned something.
Such a beautiful place! The hike to St. Mark's peak will be tough for some, but it's worth the effort.
Best of the three local mountains. Just make sure you drive up prepared.
Best variety of terrain and overall conditions of any of the local mountains
Went for 5 Peaks Trail race. Challenging up find on the way down. Beautiful scenery at the top.
Just tonight! Aurora will break out over Vancouver! You can watch the wonders without going to the yellow knife.

Great mountain with great runs gets a bit busy at times but is probably the best mountain to go to in the Vancouver area. This review however is not for the quality of the runs but more about their policy and how their system works. My friends and I went snowboarding and we were purchasing our tickets for night boarding. My friend and I bought tickets and were waiting for last friend who had purchased a Gold membership which he paid extra for so whenever he returns he gets a cheaper rate than a normal ticket.
He had used it a few times and one day he tried to use it and the person at the counter said his card was cracked a bit and would have to issue him a new one. On this new card the employee misspelled his name on the card but he still used this same card a few more times on different occasions. On this day we returned and as we were waiting for our friend the employees said he was unable to use this card as it does not match his ID and was not the correct spelling. They went on to tell him he could have found this card and is trying to use it. So their solution to the problem was to take the card away from him as if he found a gold member card with one letter difference in the name to save $11-$16.
As my friend informed the employees that this was because of the mistake the gentleman working behind the counter made when he misspelled his name. The spelling of the name was simply one letter was added that did not need to be however they would not do anything nor would they try to get to the bottom of the issue. They simply said purchase another card or pay the regular price.
My friend simply paid the regular price and would not be purchasing a new gold member card. Even I myself was thinking to purchase a Gold member card but after I saw how they handle a problem or a situation that an employee made by misspelling a name I will not be doing so and I highly highly recommend that people do not purchase the gold card. They may try to pull a quick one on you if you are going to purchase it make sure spelling everything is correct on the gold card as they will use any excuse it seems screw you. Be careful.
4 lifts, and a pretty decent variety of runs. I really enjoy it! And the views of Vancouver and Howe Sound are pretty awesome. The also have some pretty reasonably priced passes.
Incredible views of Vancouver and the waterfront, night skiing.
Amazing views of Vancouver! Good ski slopes about 25 mins drive from Vancity
Too expensive but this ski resort is just fabulous. It's located in West Vancouver and it's just gorgeous there. Lots of fun as well.
Great for snowboarding in the winter and many excellent hikes to do during off season! I've lived here my entire life and had never done St.Mark's summit or Eagle Bluffs until this year. What a gorgeous hike and well marked trail!
Nice mountain close to the city with runs for beginners and intermediate riders will enjoy.
It's OK here. When there is a lot of snow, the conditions can be amazing but there'll be tons of people. Be prepared to pay extra for parking that is close and long waits for tickets and lifts. Costco sells $100 vouchers for $75, so it is a great way to save 25%.
Pretty nifty ski resort close tot he city. A good variety of slopes accommodated by amazing views of the surrounding park. I would recommend arriving early, however, due tot he long lines for rentals and tickets.
They are ready for whatever Winters bring.. great place
Great place to visit all year round. Hiking or winter activities, either or it's a great place to visit. Just wish they kept extra toilet paper in the washroom stalls...or I guess bring your own?!
Been there in winter and summer, it's a beautiful place year round. It's better to get there by car, but you can take the cypress coach line in the winter from different parts of Vancouver.
One of the mountains close to Vancouver. It's less than an 40 minute drive from downtown. The views are definitely worth it, especially in the winter.
Signed up for ski lessons. Everyone here is so friendly!!!!!
Best local mountain ski resort in lower mainland. Close to the highway. Night time ski/snowboarding is not too crowded. Offer ladies nights
Great look outs ,any size hike ,long ,short nice spot
Good snow conditions, large variety of runs, minimal lineups
Went for snowshoeing, be sure to get a ticket at the/near the washroom, or you will not be allowed to the trails. It is a bit of a walk from the ticket dispenser to the skilift/trail entrance. Btw, the ticket is free. Well marked trails, easy hike to Bowen island lookout, not too busy early mornings on weekends.
45+ minutes to park and 45+ minutes to get my save some time online ticket! Great hill to ski on but parking organization and ticket services are terrible. It is the Christmas season but come on Cypress, you ve been doing this for many years now! I came to ski...not stand in line ups!
Beautiful Mountain, can be very busy and the road up is long. There are two places to eat in the main lodge but quite expensive and like a cafeteria. Night skiing covers a large portion of the terrain. If you have a child who is either in grade 4 or 5 you can buy a snowpass for $29 and ski here 3 times as well as 150 other resorts in Canada
Cypress is lacking the amount of and up keep of the terrain parks. Atm there are a total of three. All three have very few and small features that are not being maintained. Highly disappointing. If you are looking to ride cypress for the terrain parks dont bother.
Climbing skiing to Cypress Mountain and enjoying its landscapes and snow is an experience that is very worthwhile, as a bonus, the fast food sold upstairs is good.
Great snow in 2020, plenty of fresh powder, good value lift tickets.
Best place to lean snowboard or ski for your kids , my 4 and 6 years old started with their`s snowboard lesson this year, was planning to book private lessons for both, but friend of mine said you should try the lessons offered by the cypress, I did, wow the staffs are super friendly and good with what they do, almost one to one, my kids are doing good after only 3 lessons , it only cost 116 per kid (incl rentals) , it saying 2 hours lesson ,but they really spent 3 hours teaching , wonderful job and thank you
Went just to watch the skiers. Parking is a nightmare, and the lodge is a little rundown.
Big fan of Cypress. Great local freeriding experience.
Solid ski hill, if only Whistler wasnt the measure of our mountains cypress would rank amongst the best.
