Good selection of products, unfortunately found item I wanted cheaper on line, so did not buy from store
Wanted 65inch tv all 3 I looked for not in stock no good for impulse buyer like Me. Went too John Lewis and purchased
Went to store to order a washing machine which needed to be 84cm high to fit under the worktop. The assistant glazed over and began clawing uselessly at her iPad, unable to help. I set off around the store with my tape measure, found a vertically appropriate machine, ordered and paid. Delivery was arranged for 5 days later. On the delivery day, I was told the machine would arrive between the strangely specific times of 07:35 and 11:35. I tried to track the delivery but it told me to contact them, which I did. Currys had bizarrely cancelled my order. I could not rearrange the delivery. It was as if my washing machine never existed. I was told the only solution was to drive the 26 mile round trip to the MK store, in Groundhog Day fashion, and re-order the machine. They have my money. I have an unwanted day off and a large pile of unwashed clothes. Currys, receivership beckons.
It s like the arcade game Pac-Man, I found myself purposefully wandering through the aisles to avoid the sales staff from trying to serve me. I only went in there to look at some things to get an idea of price and size.
Fairly good range of stuff when they have it in stock which seems to be an issue for this store. Also, trying to get any sort of customer service is near impossible as they also seem fairly busy.
Located in a business centre, and it is a go to shop for your electronic appliances. Also gives great deals occasionally.
The typical faceless cavern of retail despair one would expect, but a good price on the end of line item i visited to purchase.
Not the best, I was actually put off spending money her due to staff. Not the worst, clean shop with a layout that easily let's you find what you're looking for.
As you walk in you're greeted by eager staff asking if you need anything, then when you're finally looking to buy your chosen item there is no one around to sell it. Finally, after 10 minutes of looking at us while on his phone call, the manager went to go find a staff member to assist lol.
Overall very good. Had what I wanted. Helpful staff.
Customer service is bad! Returning items takes ages and is inconsistent
Great selection of everything electrical. Maybe relax with asking people if they need any help though. Maybe I should carry a big sign around saying "Just looking"
I didn t like that shop before the virus and now I don t like it even more. They haven't much knowledge about the items in the store. I returned a faulty item on the same day customer service slow and have to wait outside, Corona Corona will be an excuse for bad service from now on.
Shopping in Currys is never a pleasant experience. I m not 100% sure why, maybe it s the sleazy sales people or it could be the constant pushing of insurances that you don t want or need (just in case you smash your washing machine to bits while taking it home). That being said, the prices are often competitive and sometimes you just want a dishwasher there and then and you don t want to wait for it to be delivered from an online store.
Poor information on displayed goods combined with totally disinterested staff who have seemingly zero product knowledge. Two stars for having a convenient and easily accessible location.
We ordered a Range cooker from your store in Central MK on 24th Jan and were expecting a delivery on the 1st Feb.
1st of Feb, the delivery men arrived late, did some sort of checks and concluded there was a CO2 leak and that a gas leak so the gas needed to be switched off immediately! We spent the rest of the day and night in a very cold house when it was snowing!
We had to purchase two small portable plug in heaters last minute from ARGOS.
We called British Gas the same day who sent a qualified gas engineer out swiftly where their tests confirmed there was no CO2 or a gas leak.
We call your Customer Service number Where we were informed that the delivery drivers from the 1st of Feb had in error said our delivery had been completed however, the depo still had the item. Sedita told us that we had to go into the store and have the product redelivered. We asked the store call us and the request was put in.
Sadly, we waited until 17:00 for a phone call from the store but as we were not contacted as requested. On the 2nd Feb we went to CURRY'S MK again at around 17:00, and they took OVER AN HOUR to give us another delivery date. In store, after this painfully long wait, we were informed that the next date was the 9th Feb. We asked if they could do anything for us to obtain a sooner delivery date as we were without any cooking facilities. However, we were only told that WE had to wait for a gas engineer to be free as their diaries would already be full for other customers. The person who served us was Ahmad.
The manager (Intizar) assured us that as the error was not ours and therefore the food we had to buy would be compensated back to us. We were told to contact Customer Services but by the time we left the store your lines were closed.
On the 03rd of Feb we contacted customer services who could not help us in bringing the delivery date forward however, did speak to a manager from the depo regarding our delivery and they had stated they would set us as a priority and would ensure that if there were any cancellations then we would be top of the list.
On Wednesday the 6th we received a text message to say our delivery had been moved to the 14th.
Immediately upon reading this we contacted Cudtomer Services and after explaining the situation they managed to get the delivery back on track for the 9th of February.
The delivery drivers arrived on the 9th, 15 minutes earlier then expected today which we was very happy about. The engineer Sheldon began to do his tests whilst the other man was outside preparing the new oven and removing Packaging. It came to light that this other guy dropped and smashed our cooker.
We heard the other guy say to the engineer I was putting the leg on and it broke.
A few minutes later the other man came in claiming that he simply unpackaged the cooker and the door just fell down and smashed. The same guy then asked for a dustpan and brush for the glass then a few moments later brought them back. They recycled our old cooker, and took the broken one back in the lorry.
To our dismay as we walked outside we could still see a massive amount of glass on the road and pavement and they just drive off.
We swept up what we could then drove to CURRY S MK again to meet with the manager Nina who stated that they couldn't give us another date as we had to wait 24hrs first.
Have to say went to Currys to get 2 PC's repaired (Windows update screwd up the computers) with certain amount of concern as to if they know what they are doing or equally might just rip you off. Was pleasently surprised by know how team, very polite and knowledge and repaired both for very good price. Would definitely recommend giving the Milton Keynes know how team a go, very happy with service price and outcome.
The shop is depressing. The staff don't want to be there. You don't want to be there. Customer services had a long queue with only 2 employees serving ... a a third arrive after 5 min ... looked so blaze and not bothered.... finally got served after 15 min but very depressed staff...
Excellent range of TV and AV equipment, kitchen and white goods and computers and cell phones. Not much audio equipment other than sound bars prices are competitive and I have found the service very helpful. Can get quite busy. I bought my last home cinema set up there after getting sick of trying to get the attention of a sales assistant at John Lewis and got a better set up for less.
Very helpful staff. Told the lovely lady what I was after and she didn't try hard selling the most expensive stuff. Very impressed
Wandered around the laptops for 20mins and not one sales person came and spoke to me.
Some staff helpful, others walk away, they won't the money, but don't won't to work fir it!!
Went in to look at a fridge freezer. Found the one I wanted and asked about delivery. 2 weeks.
Went on line at Curry's.co.uk
Same fridge delivery 1 week earlier???
Ordered on line, as you would.
The only use of the shop is to temp you to buy other products. I had already been on line and looked at the ones I was interested in. I should have stayed at home and just clicked the "buy" option.
No wonder there are fewer shops trading. If it's on line just get it.
Great choices of electrical products and some great deals to be had. Delivery service was good too.
The girl who served us was great. The only problem was she was running around as she appeared to be the only one serving
A widr range of products with very knowledgeable staff.
Terrible customer service - very little knowledge about actual products (technical product knowledge and the financial products they have; almost mis-sold me finance based on the sales representative misunderstanding a basic question), and left waiting for service for a long time. Spent 40 minutes in store to collect something I had already reserved. Ended up going to John Lewis instead in Centre:MK: took me minutes to complete a transaction without a reservation.
Shocking nobody approached me, even when several staff walked by me whilst I was trying to choose a Hoover and looking confused their was no are you ok sir, and all around the store groups of assistance were all stood chatting and laughing rather than helping . Which is why I left the store empty handed vowing never to return.
It's a good place to see what type of product you desire, or to just browse, however if you are considering to buy directly in store, then don't go. I have had this experience several times and it's the same story, over and over again. They always say that they "might have the product in stock", then they go and check (or maybe wander off making the customers thinking that they are ACTUALLY looking, when in reality they might not) and come back saying that they don't have it in stock. It is a bit disappointing, so please do keep some (or all) products in stock!!!
Awful experience with customer services at the store! Only 2 ladies serving, and often both working with one customer. I was stood outside in the freezing cold whilst I stared at them lean on the tills, picking their teeth.
Finally I got attention of a kind lady, and I explained I was collecting a repair. She took my confirmation paper and gave it to the customer service woman. After a few minutes my laptop was returned to me, without the charger
The incompetence of the customer service team in Milton Keynes is ridiculous!
Dont travel! Book through Knowhow
Lost a sale. Reserved an item but would accept the Currys Christmas voucher. At best, when asked to resolve a shrug of the shoulders.
Hilarious place, so much stuff everywhere and no discernable method to the madness!
Wanted to buy a camera, but sales people are not trsined and do not have specific knowledge, also most of the cameras are not charged and cant you cant try them and take a picture
First sales assistant had less than no clue about the tumble dryer I was enquiring about, second assistant could have been the designer of it with the knowledge she had, hence, the average score.
Disgusted to watch two delivery drivers enter a neighbours house not wearing any face covering
Click and collect service available in the days of covid-19
Poor customer service all the team was waiting to go home not friendly staff.
Excruciatingly slow queue at collections.
Management uninterested in reassigning tge many staff who were clearly underutilised around the shop...fail...
Had technically issue ref: formatting of a usb stick. The sales assistant was very helpful and answered all questions. Thanks for all your help.
Went in to buy a watch, had to search for a staff member, when we got one he was unhelpful and couldn't give us a watch to try on. So we immediately drove up to John Lewis and had a brilliant experience from a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable member of staff who let us try the watches on...so we bought the watch there.
Staff aren't always helpful here and sometime give you the wrong info
Alex is brilliant he was very professional and gave us swift attention and all the info we needed cause of his brilliant services we bought a curved television 55cm from Curry's last Friday! Keep him!
Good service but washing machine in the colour I wanted was out of stock and said it could be a week or longer to get them in and that the price may be higher so I ordered the colour washing machine that doesn't go with my other kitchen appliance. Disappointed as mam told me Friday that there was plenty in stock in white and today only silver in stock.
I needed to charge my tablet for an urgent job and popped in to get a lead. I then queued for 10 minutes behind 1 person as the cashier had no change. When a supervisor arrived the till was sorted but instead if assisting the by now fairly lengthy and disgruntled queue of people behind me he took off like a Jack rabbit. The poor cashier was even calling him to get her a relief as she hadn't had her lunch. Customers in the queue were saying they'd seen at least half a dozen other staff around the store standing around chatting. I vowed I would not use PC world again several years ago when a new printer purchased from them was found to have non manufacturers ink cartridges. Thus will be my last visit. Cashier was pleasant but other staff appear to think customers are an interruption. Avoid.
got a fridge, best price and delivered on date and on time.
I found a nice laptop in Curry's but they would not sell it to me because it was out of stock. Also did not know when it it would be back in stock. They did not know how long the sale price was valid. They did not know what else to offer me. They did not know much really. There was a long queue at the customer service so I left. Such a shame the knowhow team did not know how.
Why not put a sold out sticker on it? Just an idea guys.
Get what you mostly need, was a little upset on the selection of some additional computer components though, like SSD's etc. Seems to have to many staff loitering.
The selection seems to have got less. Was looking for a basic computer with a decent size hard drive. There were only ssd's and no bigger than 128gb. Still, at least you can actually see the items rather than just a picture.
Staff very helpful, even though the store was busy on a Saturday afternoon. Prices a bit higher than I would like though.
Coz i got affordable headphones more quickly than in Argos. I was too tired to go back the way i had just come to replace my headphones. I kust wanyed tonget McDonald's and go home. My heafphpnes screwed up and when i checked how much they are to replace, they sold the same headphones in currys just acrosd the rd.
Nice if you want to be able to touch the item you want to buy.
Helpful staff but didn't carry anything we actually needed.
We've had really good experience. Ahmad was really helpful, thank you for our door bell camera 3 pro
Happy customers
Just like any other Currys PC World. Went late on a weekday so not many customers, hence service was good. Bought Dyson V8 cleaner at a competitive price.
Everytime I go there I spend my life in queues.. even when it's empty.
Massive Currys, if you cant find what your looking for in there youre probably after slippers or something
Good service this morning as I was early and no one else about. Yesterday it was extremely difficult to find someone to serve me
So I reserved a item online yesterday afternoon. Got into the store and I go to the online orders desk and get told I have to go the returns que. That's fine. No biggy. There is only 3 people in front of me including one getting served. Waited 20mins before being served and then they hadn't even got my iteam reserved and have to go on to the shop floor to get it. I then wait another 10mins at the desk why he's trying to get my iteam and than someone finally opens up the online orders desk and the man behind me who had been waiting just as long gose there and finds his online order also hadn't been "reserved". Really annoyed.
Never been a fan of Currys, but had a very helpful salesman who provided excellent service. Price if item was competitive.
Easy and free parking together with a spacious store layout facilitates hassle free browsing.
Visited this shop today to purchase a Samsung S9 plus and a Samsung gear VR. When I went into the store I located the VR looked around to speak to a member of staff. All staff were either looking busy (which is different from being busy) or simply gathered around each other talking. Then to add bad customer service to worse. One of the individuals had a good idea which was to turn one of their stereo's to a higher level so that customers couldn't even comfortably speak to one another.
This company will soon follow the likes of Comet, Maplins and other stores which were known for poor customer service and even worse aftercare. I will buy my product from Amazon instead. Same price, better customer and aftercare service.
This really is the most awful store. The staff are belligerent and rude and clearly far happier chatting amongst themselves than helping customers. I was 'shushed' with a finger by one for daring to interrupt their conversation whilst trying to find an item. I was then summarily waved in the general direction that the staff member thought it was in once they had finished their chat. Staff seem to have zero knowledge of the product they are selling or basic courtesy. Its actually a miracle anyone goes here; I suggest you don't unless under some kind of duress.
Enjoy browsing around the store, always manage to find what we want.
Very poor, we spoke to an assistant and told him the item we wanted to buy, he checked availability and told us to wait by the till. We waited about 20.minutes for somebody to check if we had been served. Eventually 30 minutes later we paid for our item. This is the worst experience I have ever had in a shop please bring back Comet.
Beware their refund policy, if you open the box and don't like the product they will not offer any form of refund.
They only refund if there is a fault.
Changed their policy in 2017 and have small print on the receipt.
Ive bought loadslof stuff there but ill never shop there again.
Ok if you don't get harassed by the staff. I knew what I wanted (fridge/freezer), paid for it and took it away.
Pre ordered an item, was told it was ready for collection, went to collect it, item was nowhere to be found. I eventually found it myself on the shop floor. Bit of a shambles.
Have been in this shop a view times for different item's, depending on the department, the staff are not always helpful without pointing out which department.
Fantastic service by staff here - afraid no photo as I'm 89 + & no mobile phone. Bought a new Samsung TV on Sat 19th Sept & lost the receipt. Got it home only to find it was too long with new side legs rather than the older models with central stand. It was too long to fit on my cabinet. Took it back next day Sunday and assistant Murna traced the original sale - took it back and supplied me with a new JVC T.V with a central stand. That's what I call superb service. Previously the chap who helped me on Saturday also took the T.V over to my car for me. Can't praise the staff here enough. Truely great service. My photo would have been no great shakes anyway. Nothing fancy just your run-of-the-mill electronic shop
