Very large resort, very windy beach so water sport...

Very large resort, very windy beach so water sports not always available. For all inclusive you still seem to always be paying for something. Free cocktails mediocre and unusual free drinks not always available. Typical buffet, repetitive but every now and then a surprise. Still looking for the heated pool? Great Spa! Lovely gardens. No special feeling, average.

I start with kitchen, is really small, I comed because I want nice food but here is it terrible! On breakfast are yogurts warm (I sat on wc 1h!) when I want more food they looking bad to me! this is all inclusive, not? Everyday is same food!!! Again again and again! Here is nothing to eat, here is not fruit!!!! Only little bit on breakfast.
Vegetable is also warm! Okay now other, in areal are wild dogs! I saw how attacking to small kid maybe 4dogs! I'm scared because they are sometimes agresive. Personal is really bad 80% are effrontery. I think hotel have 4stars only because everywhere here are only blind old people. Beach is also terrible because everywhere are broken corals, here is not music absolute embarrassing hotel, vegetation are dry, photos of hotel are fake or really old! This everything is sad, it looks I want destroy this hotel but this is really true! Never go to this hotel, belive me

The complex itself is confusing but beautiful, especially the beach section, so the 2 stars.
The rooms are unfortunately very dingy when I moved into my room, I had several insects in my room, including 2 bees, great for my existing allergy. The rooms are extremely noisy and the towels smell musty. Unfortunately, the do not disturb sign on my door was ignored and my room was cleaned or the documents I had sorted on the bed were taken and placed on a pile on the table, so the preparatory work I had done was gone. That is the small 1x1 of the cleaning fairy documents not to touch or not to ignore do not disturb signs. Since the door was open during the entire cleaning process, I had insects in the room again and a bee below. The buffet outside was very unsavory, in the dining room in the evening the taste was partly good but absolutely insufficient in terms of selection and availability. During my time the hotel hosted a large Indian wedding and many parts of the hotel were closed to hotel guests, the beach bar closed early so you only got water in the restaurant which is just too far away when you are on the beach. The staff at the beach bar is very uncoordinated or overwhelmed, everyone was very, very nice but you could see the lack of knowledge. During the early check-out in the evening before the early morning departure, it became clear once again how unorganized and overwhelmed many employees are. The wrong amount was deducted from my credit card over 3 times after more than 30 minutes I was asked to come back later, I said no it was already 10 p.m. and I had to get up very early the next day. At some point the manager on duty finally came who didn't know exactly how to credit the amount to my credit card again, after a clarifying phone call everything went, nevertheless it is far too long to check out for over an hour. I was there for work, which is why I don't see a lot of things exactly, had it been my honeymoon or a vacation, I would have been bitterly disappointed.

the staff is pampered with its customers .... we had a room on the ground floor .... ants are back in the room ... the hotel has a room for us to change room with an upgrade in suite junior...
Beyond that ... the Mauritians are extremely friendly people and we always small gesture of attention ....
The buffet is varied and complete and I recommend the Bellevue restaurant for dinners ...
We will return to this hotel ....

Again any time!! Great country, great people. But you should also know that the clocks tick differently than ours. As a couple, you can avoid families, they are mostly at the pool. The beach is spacious and very clean. The bathing possibilities are almost optimal (water temperatures, sandy beaches, almost no surf because behind a reef)
You should speak French or English, otherwise it will be a bit difficult to speak to the staff.

A very nice and friendly hotel, well-kept hotel area. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating.
I like to eat and love the kitchen at the Maritim Crystals Beach Hotel! Every day in the evening at the buffet something new to enjoy ... very tasty and something for everyone. Children's buffet is delicious too!
Every evening great entertainment with shows and afterwards music to dance and party!
Hotel rooms are very spacious with a nice bathroom, tub and shower, with lots of space. Beds are big and comfortable. The rooms are cleaned very well every day. Great staff!
The way to the stand is fragrant, flowers, palm trees, like in paradise. The beach is very well-kept, beautiful and great for relaxing, where beach chairs are always available. Cocktails are also served on the beach ... a big plus!
The pool is great for swimming and the area is a dream!
The tour guide who comes to the hotel on the first day makes great and wonderful offers! You have to take advantage of it, it makes a big difference on the trips and it is very helpful and you can ask lots of questions!
It was a wonderful and wonderful vacation to relax! A big thank you to the entire team from the Crystals Beach Hotel ... five Crystals and I would love to come back to Mauritius!

At first, when we get there for a day only, our first reaction was wahhhh, it's here that we must go for a holiday in family !!!! Beautiful place, nice workers. For me, the best one up to now !!!!

Its the third time I came at Maritim with my family and we can say that the hotel service and quality has gone down. I use to recomnend the hotel to everyone but not anymore.
I did my booking two months back and requested to have rooms in the same block but to my great disappointment some of us were at the extreme right some at the extreme left of the hotel. Our bags got mixed up.. it took us 3 hours to settle nobody helped us during the mess they created with our bags. We had to go in the dofferent rooms to get our bags.terrible. bellboy was contact 5 times and nobody came. Towel cards not provided unavailability of towels most of the time..in the room there was cigrate smell

Some of our Ordered drinks never reached us. No waiter..you hav to take your own drinks at the bar. Beware at times you might have to be the waiter yourself. the barman and the waiters
Even told my nephew to collect all the glasses then only he will get the drinks he ordered.
Cake ordered for my nephew birthday came when most of us were already back to the room.

Great - spacious, well-kept area & great beach! with very friendly staff - good, varied food and large, clean rooms.
Highly recommended for honeymoon
(And the best of all, we ate and drank almost everything in the 14 days and didn't get sick).

The hotel an absolute problem with the cleanliness...

The hotel an absolute problem with the cleanliness, a complete disgrace for Maritim (... even without the flowery words to the "quality claim" on the Maritim homepage to read).
1. fleeting, unmotivated plastered rooms (sticky / greasy floors in the bathroom, etc.)
2. Mold in the shower, construction defects
3. dirty upholstery
4. smeared glasses in the minibar
5. permanently stained towels
6th that during our 15-day Auffenthalts not once (!!!) have experienced, that once the fixtures, the glass plates from couch and terrace table, the sideboard were wiped off and you daily the glass door of the shower left itself, is just an indictment

Second, the hotel has a management problem.
1. completely unstructured work (four waiters clear the same table, none of them pouring out drinks, everyone hides behind the other)
2. missing routines (the mini bar is almost every day differently equipped or drinks are felt, but it lacks the glasses)
3. partly brainless work processes (the cleaning staff, for example, constantly forgets the fresh towels and call you therefore, bring you small towels and run because of the bath towels again)
Fourth time drinks are brought to the beach and pool, sometimes not; sometimes the empty plastic cups are cleared away from the beach and pool, sometimes not.
5. Lack of experience of the very conspicuous young staff (missing plate in the buffet restaurant and the staff on it, they bring a stack with maybe 20 plates (for the entire restaurant!) Or you clear a dirty table and covers it without Just wipe it right back in)
6. The staff brings coffee to the table for breakfast and sees that the cups are missing ... and then it's just not automatic to supplement the cups with speed
7. Several times we have experienced that the doors of four to five adjoining rooms were simply open, without cleaning staff was seen in the corridor ... long live the theft

Third, the hotel has a problem with the friendliness and guest orientation.
1. the staff at the bar at tables with empty glasses over and just does not come to the question, if you want to have something, but you have to order it explicitly
2. Bring the drinks to the staff, they put it without comment (with unchanged expression) ... a "for the sake of" or "let it taste" would certainly enjoy a Maritim-Responsible in another hotel, right?
3. The staff does not even greet you back
4. beach towels are only twice a day for two hours ... if you come too late, shows the staff (again without comment !, experienced several times) only on the sign with the opening times
5th of the staff speak very few even a few words German - at the front desk, for example, no one (!) ... for whatever reason on the hotel's website to describe something different

The hotel has a quality problem.
(I'm not intentionally talking about food, because that's always a matter of taste.)
1. The drinks are generally (and unsolicited) stretched with tons of ice cubes
2. with the cocktails (if you should call them that) is lacking in alcohol, even if you from bartender to bartender every now and then experienced other mixing ratios ... or even other recipes, because they simply do not know the staff (Management- Problem, so)
3. Lemons / Limes are cut in the drinks in such miniatures that they can no longer deliver juice; the mint leaves are withered and of course far removed from flavor
4. If the frothy milk waits ten minutes for the infusion of the espresso, the latte macchiato can of course reach the guest only lukewarm or even completely cold
5. I think the management, you should not give the staff a tip, but at the check-in something in the box at the front desk throw, for wrong - there is lack of motivation and concrete reference to the guest

This hotel gives first a very good impression, nice reception area, facilities and a very pretty beach. What let the hotel down is the low service level. 80% of the staff looks half asleep, unmotivated and annoyed. Some completely ignore you. We had to ask 3, sometimes 4 times to get something at the restaurants or at our bedroom. Unfortunately the food can not be rated as a 4 star hotel either, as it was mostly tasteless. We tried all 4 restaurants, where only the French was ok when you paid extra above the all inclusive.
The few members of staff that tried to make it up for us unfortunately were overshadowed by the others that didn't even offer a smile.
It seems the hotel focuses on quantity of guests while sacrificing the quality of the whole hosting experience...

Good holiday rest sun beach! The hotel is nice with direct beach access from the rooms. There are 2 swimming pools. The rooms are nice clean and spacious. Double washbasin shower tub .The kitchen is very good. Daytime entertainment and theme nights every night. The kindness of the staff, the animators and the Mauritians.

Lovely Hotel, Beautiful pool and beach area Stayed 5 nights as we were watching the Golf at Anahita and this hotel was a good location and good price. We enjoyed an evening meal which was a lovely buffet, good selection of food. And then breakfast the following day was also very nice

A hotel to feel good. The rooms are big and tidy. The service is great in all respects. There is even a dedicated counter with guest relations. The food is varied and if you want to dine in peace, you can also go to Ala Card restaurants and enjoy yourself.

The situation should not be ignored. The hotel is located directly on the sea and has a lot of comfortable loungers.

MAURITIAN DAY VISIT. Cheap food, cheap oxenham wine bottled in Mauritius that does not taste of grapes. Complicated admin. If you choose to spend more money and buy an expensive bottle of wine you get hounded until you pay whilst you would Like to relax and pay when you leave. All the Mauritian waiters and staff are super friendly but that's not enough

Great hotel with extremely friendly staff. Kayak, snorkel tour and stand-up paddle are free. Right on the beach are corals and you can snorkel. Food is something for everyone. Cocktails are brought to the beach by the staff. Was a great holiday!

OMG. Great place to be with the family and friends...

OMG. Great place to be with the family and friends. They have so many facilities. Gym, spa, kids corner, heated pool, entertainment, discotheque (10pm to 2am with open bar), shopping area, as well as great food (so much variety, the roasted venison was succulent), welcoming and always helpful staff (especially Kewin, Coco, Avishek and Chinois). I'm definitely coming again and recommending the experience to many others.

All in all, it can be said that one of the most beautiful places on the planet could be seen, experienced and admired. We will come back for sure! There is still so much to discover and visit! This resort is not recommended for Asians . You will not get proper food to eat . Before booking they told that they will provide us candle light dinner as complementary . But they didn't provide us and we were kept on asking for it . Worst service !!! Even Boat house guys are not responding properly for water sport activities .

Hotel was nice, clean & peaceful. Staffs were polite but i found it DISRESPECTFUL from the lady host ignoring my wife's presence & enquiring only about me each time during the hotel tour. We both really felt uncomfortable and it was very much embarrassing since it was my wife who did the booking and the host herself made my wife do all the remaining formalities at the hotel when we checked in. Bar tender at icery bar looks frustrated and lacks a friendly approach.No greetings or communication from his side .Food was good but only 3 snacks for tea time is not what we were expecting from a hotel of this calibre. And what is the reason some waiters asking about our room number during lunch? Most of the activities mentioned in the package weren't available .Game room was closed. Great disappointment.Cocktails were the only plus points.

Our room was very spacious, modern, clean and, on our special request, with a sea view. Only the TV didn't work properly right away, somehow the channels weren't displayed. We looked then at the front desk over and marked our little problem. They told us that a technician would take care of it immediately and we weren't even back in our room and the problem was fixed. We were greeted by an immaculately working TV when we returned. WiFi is officially only available in the restaurants, by the pool, the lobby and in the rooms - in our case, however, we had internet virtually everywhere on the hotel premises. Unfortunately, the speed fluctuated between okay and super slow motion, there is still room for improvement here, but still no end of the world.

The staff is very, very friendly and accommodating, but never annoying. They always asked us how we are, how our day was, whether we are feeling well, what they can bring us (food / drink) and what else they can do for our well-being. Noteworthy: From the simple waiter to the front office manager, we were asked these questions and no one was too good (no matter what position he or she holds) to help us or bring us something. One evening there was a dance performance and we were a little late and couldn't get a seat. Not even a minute passed before one of the waiters brought us two chairs without being asked and asked us to sit down. This is only a small anecdote, but exemplary for the excellent staff.
I have to admit, I'm not really an animation guy. The sports and animation team is so well involved and trained here that I even took part in the aquagym. It never came to feel that something was enforced, the fun always been at the forefront. With their sympathetic manner, they easily managed to get you carried away and the entertaining volleyball matches will remain in (good) memories. I never thought that I would ever look forward to hanging out with the animation types and to spend part of my vacation. Unexpected often comes :)

The food is very varied and tasty. Every day there is a specific theme for dinner (Asian, Arabic, Indian, etc.). As in our first hotel, salt and pepper are used sparingly, but this is not a big problem, as both are available directly at the table. So you can season your food yourself according to your taste.

Housekeeping is also excellent, very thorough and courteous. Whenever we have seen the employees briefly, we were always greeted by them in a friendly manner.

Overall, we would like to compliment the staff as each and every one of them went out of their way to make our stay an unforgettable experience.

We were there for 2 weeks, during this time our room was cleaned only 2 times despite repeated inquiries, hygiene generally doesn't seem to be their thing, but more about that later.
The beach was okay but nothing special, absolutely not worth the long trip. Mauritius per se is totally down and on the way from the airport to the hotel you drive through slums where half-naked children play in the dirt and animal carcasses lie on the roadside - that creates a holiday mood.
Back to the hotel, when you get there you go up a few steps and then over a kind of wooden bridge. Should look luxurious but if you look closely you will notice how cheap and gimmicky everything is. The whole system is aimed at an initial WoW but has absolutely nothing to offer.

The other guests are mostly Indian and European, a lot of families and therefore hardly any entertainment for young adults, it's over from 12, no more alcohol, at most after waiting for hours for room service.
People from the European area should save the flight costs and the associated environmental pollution and drive to a high-quality resort in Europe, the Crystal in Mauritius is definitely not the trouble and definitely NOT worth the money.
Would give 0 points because rip off.
The good ratings are a mystery to me.
