Amazing place with all activities within hotel premises

It was my second stay at Maritim crystal beach and was extremely disappointed. First we chose this hotel because of its heated pool which we thought will be convenient for the children in winter... but the heated pool was not heated at all!! Despite several enquiries about why the pool was not heated.. nothing was done about it. Then awful service and attitude mainly wrt the bartender at the main bar.. on top of that one day there was no chocolate.. the other day no milk n the next day no coffee!!! And all these was announced after waiting for an hour in a queue!! As for the food, the quality was much better during my first visit. Overall disappointment!

For business reasons, I often have to stay in hotels and not just in Germany - the Maritim Crystals Beach is one of the worst hotels I have ever been to. The beach and the service are good to very good, the drinks but stretched and the food partly tasteless. Although the hotel is only 5 years old, the rooms are lived up. As icing on the cake, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired.

I had a super great time at Maritim. Foods and drinks are amazing. Staffs are very friendly and caring. Many activities available. I won't mind goung back.

Decent resort with good rooms. Hospitality is pretty ok ! They don't have much of sea view rooms and also very less water activities. Everything needs a booking in prior when it comes to restaurants and water activities at the resort. Beautiful beach !

My stay was absolutely superb the service was excellent the food was superb all the staff were very helpful and they always pay attention to you when you having lunch or dinner..... I will definitely spend my next holiday again over there..

I comed especially because I want nice food... And here is kitchen terrible, here is not fruit! Same food every day, and kitchen is extremely small, food is dirty and stinks!

my husband and I stayed from 11/28/2019 - 12/14/2019 in Crystal Beach. it was just beautiful. The complex has a great beach and a great garden. The rooms are large and very well equipped. The food is also very good and very varied. The staff is very friendly and attentive. For us there is nothing to complain about. For 2020 we have booked this beautiful area again. We are looking forward to the next vacation.

Spacious, clean hotel, great choice on the buffet side .... Staff very caring and pleasant. I would recommend ... and nice walks along the beach with just sensational scenery .... were with Kappa Club ... very nice too.

Worst experience ever. RUN AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. Staff has no clueS what is customer experience at all. Director is plain rude. Dirty hotel and old furniture. Food was disgusting. Staff would eat before clients at buffet. They also chit chat in a group and doesn't care about clients. This hotel is not a 4 stars hotel anymore. It has to be reviewed again.

Price / performance is not in proportion, for a small surcharge you can also treat yourself to a 5 star hotel on the island.
We dropped out of our stay and switched to another hotel after our first room had mold and the second had bugs / cockroaches.
Poor hygiene in the bathroom and "canteen". The menu was unfortunately a disappointment for us and was really canteen level.
Although the hotel is relatively new, it is in poor condition. In the dining room, it dripped through the ceiling in several places when it rained, and towels were spread out on the slippery tiles.
We had all inclusive. booked, but unfortunately had to find out that cappuccino, for example, was not included, for this we would have had to pay an extra 4.50. For this we would have had to book all inclusive plus, then we could have done without our all inclusive.
The cocktails were unfortunately inedible, the waiters filled the branded bottles with Noname products in front of our eyes in the morning.
The waiters and simple staff were very friendly, not fake, the hotel management probably didn't understand our complaints.

We enjoyed our silver wedding trip here and were spoiled by the staff. Recommended!

We were all-inclusive in Mauritius for 2 weeks. All in all, it was a very nice stay. At the Maritim Crystals Beach Hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were clean and the minibar was always replenished. The evening program varies daily and is repeated every week. It was very entertaining.
The quality of the cocktails is outstanding for an all-inclusive hotel!
Unfortunately, the tables at dinner weren't always set and you couldn't get your cutlery yourself despite the all-you-can-eat buffet. Here and also with the food there is still room for improvement.
The beach is right by the hotel and is one of the most beautiful in Mauritius (we had a car for 4 days and looked at a lot of beaches). The water is still pretty cold in August and it's windy. If you are unlucky, it can rain all day.
On the beach you have the opportunity to take part in a daily snorkeling excursion, pedal boats or canoes free of charge.
The complex itself is very large and nicely maintained. There are many possibilities so that you never get bored (wellness, table tennis, pool, giant chess, a gameroom with air hockey and table football, billiards, etc.).
We would definitely recommend the hotel!

The hotel itself was very nice. Unfortunately couldn't enjoy sea activities due to bad weather but we catch up at the swimming pool. The food was very good, really enjoyed it. Room was clean.
As for the service...well most of the staff were nice, friendly and helpful, especially staff of the resto near the swimming pool and that of villebague and ferney resto, sans oublier Mr Suki..hats off for him. But what got me really disgusted was the barman namely Hassan who was very ill-mannered, not a smile nor a greeting. I was there with two kids waiting for about 10mins to be served and when I thought it was my turn to order I started talking to him and he totally ignored me without even asking to wait a minute and he asked another customer what he would take. I wouldn't have mind if he served the other guy before...but the way he acted was very disgusting and got me down..like feeling diminished. He could have asked me to wait instead of ignoring me when I was in front of him already ordering...
Apart from this incident overall was good. But I think you must take actions against this kind of staff or else you'll lose credits for the hotel.

Great place for family. Enjoyed the pools one of which was heated. The kids had a blast

Our stay at maritim was very nice unforgotable moments had enjoy a lot staff very nice n gentille .Food excellent ,breakfast .Had a great holiday zer n kids corner fabulous very attractive for kids

The staff contributed greatly to it big thanks to F&B team Mr Jeetun, yuddish, lovelesh, Teeward and the others. Very warm and welcoming. The chef made sure everything was going smoothly personally attended the restaurant,
Thanks to Angelika for being very professional and attending to our well-being got an upgraded room due after room issue. The barman was great too. The front office took good care thanks to Alvin. The entertainment team was great too with the DJ and Michael full of energetic. Keep it up maritim crystals team though it s hard in those covid time. stay blessed

We are now the second time, certainly not for the last time, the hotel is one of the best in Mauritius.

The hotel is nice but very old, would have to be renovated or renovated! For a 4 star hotel I expect something different. The staff was very friendly! The rooms were dirty, the cleaning lady did not clean much. Overall, I was very disappointed in The Maritim Crystals Hotel. We were in December 2018! I would not recommend it ...

Wonderful location. Lovely rooms and excellent beach. Restaurant good. Could be 5-star but let down by slightly dated facilities and slow service at pool-side bar.

Very disappointed with this hotel..there were a leakage in the sealing and maintenance kept disturbing us...we pay a full pakage and were not able to rest at all...The guest relationship manager were not able to satisfy us as well...I do not recommend this hotel at all

Very nice hotel. Would come back immediately. We felt very comfortable. Are very courteous and tried hard. Food is delicious and the area was really clean everywhere. Mega beach with turquoise blue water <3. You can always find loungers, whether at the stand or by the pool. Many opportunities for children and a great range of water sports attractions.

I have a wonderful holiday thanks to clive and his team younas deelan stacy delphyne stella! They were all up to it! I travel a lot and I rarely see animators at this level! The service at the restaurant (thanks to Miss Jameeta), bar and spa was excellent. The room was ok except the bathroom (need privacy). The instructions concerning the reservation for water activities were not clear and the manager of the boat house was rude.

In a nutshell, it's a great spot, clean, his and hers basins, on the beach, two swimming pools, blue green sea, free stuff to do, nice ambiance, tasty food with a wide selection, and the staff on the whole are very well mannered and efficient.

We had a choice of three hotels in our price range when booking. Maritim Crystals Beach Resort looked the best insofar as blue ocean, white sand, neat property and the least complaints on the Internet.

We were shocked upon our arrival late night to be greeted by a large jacuzzi in the middle of our bedroom!

Dinner had also been dished and wrapped for us, and kept in our bedroom, which was fairly sizable with a verandah going out onto a lawn.

At the end of the day, after a week, I can confirm that our choice was good.

We've had a happy and satisfying experience.

There were a lot of guests to attend to and instead of finding and pointing fault in this review, because no one is perfect, I've tried to be unbiased.

Let me assure you that I tested the system good and proper. A few important things are apparent.

Maritim management, working within the constraints of allocated staff / waiters, are eager to learn from their mistakes.

They are quick to address these mistakes.

They are genuinely interested in hearing about the mistakes (I had a manager take me to a lounge and make notes while I explained about blind spots in the waiters' attention).

They lecture the staff about what they have been faulted on (I witnessed a motivational chat one day from a distance).

It took me a few days to realize that even one of their fastest and more attentive waiters also had a blind spot, and this was perhaps from the sheer number of hotel residents and day guests engulfing the various service areas on the property.

Residents and guests walking up, down and around the service area surely causes confusion as well. It's not orderly like a formal restaurant.

Like any large organization there are going to be the slackers who don't share the speed, manners, friendliness, professionalism and enthusiasm of Anisha, Coco, Elvin or Evin, Sandeep and Divya

Yes, there you have it - five staff who were clearly giving of their best.

Most certainly they were not the only ones who were doing a great job, but five names that management can engage with to learn where a few other staff are slacking.

The managers that we spoke to and ones moving around our field of sight were also mostly very good.

Some managers would turn from managers to waiters when need be, an endearing sight for some of us, but only if not necessitated by slack waiters.

Many of the managers and other staff also took it upon themselves to get to know their guests, and most importantly I generally saw EFFORT.

This effort was not in last minute desperation to save a sinking ship, but appeared to be energy sapping effort to sail an improved and faster Maritim Crystals ship!

In fact, a new resident block was being built and finished when we left.

I would not be surprised at all if Maritim Crystals ups their good game even more in the months to come.

A nice facility. Unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness, partly inattentive staff and extremely slow Internet, the joy reduced.

Amazing hotel amazing staff and amazing stay. Only the call charges to local number from room phone were extremely high.

Well located hotel on one of the best beaches in Mauritius, even if you have to walk a little left along the beach to get to the most beautiful spot. The food is good, especially in the a la carte restaurants. The service is sometimes good and sometimes bad. There are 2-3 waiters who were super nice and funny, they save the rating! In the evening you have to wait a long time for the drinks. Some waiters don't understand the term Diet Coke ... not even Un Coca sans Sucre they don't understand. I had an excessive sugar value 3 times because I am a diabetic, because of wrongly brought cola ...!

Rooms: The rooms are nice, but very noisy. Once a worker in front of our room communicated at full volume at 4 a.m. with WalkiTalki (highest volume), it woke us up from sleep ... really difficult. We also woke up twice during the night because it smelled extremely of smoke. We thought there was a fire ... but they burned the garbage nearby ... really people that doesn't have to be ... especially great for climate change (shaking the head) you can't ... we thought of possible smoke inhalation, because it was smoking in the corridor outside ... in the room there was a clearer smell! NoGo!

Room service: under no circumstances look at the mattress, otherwise you won't sleep on it anymore! Covered with sheet, comfortable bed. Cleanliness well, sand is not wiped away ... After the 3rd request whether we could have Diet Coke in the minibar, the answer came, they would not have been strange, only at the bar when you order a Diet Coke they open small 5dl bottles, but no, they don't ... I am diabetic and don't ask for a Diet Coke .. Anyway water works too.

Pool and loungers:
Pool yuck ... sorry the ice that fell on the floor by children at the pool is washed into the pool with the first rain ... the pool also didn't look as Ayuverdic as in the hotel pictures. The beautiful curbs have been removed and everything seems to be showing its age. There are loungers by the pool. Loungers on the beach ... because some guests go to the beach early in the morning and reserve the loungers and wait for hours! Then comes to the beach later! A cheek and that should be banned. We are now 5 days here and have never been able to get hold of a lounger on the beach since then. You have to catch up because in Thailand all unoccupied loungers were removed with towels!

We don't know whether we can recommend the hotel at the moment or not ... In fact, 2 hotels further down the beach is much nicer and there seem to be enough pool chairs, as not all of them are occupied.

The stay at the hotel was really unexpected. I got a most welcome greeting from everyone. The staff were friendly and specially at the bar where i tasted the best cocktail in my life prepared by Mr Akash...nice, friendly and humble gentleman.
Recommend everyone to taste the cocktail.

My husband and I had the great pleasure of being able to spend our two-week stay at the Maritim Crystals Beach Hotel. The hotel is full of style and class. The rooms are clean and super well equipped. Even the bed is more comfortable than at home! Breakfast and dinner are delicious and very varied. Special praise goes to the staff. It was extremely accommodating and friendly. We will be back definitely!

Everything was nice, except that day turkish food was served and i didn't like it, also they have few ponds with waterfall and they should put japanese koi fish, instead they have berry rouge which looks cheap for a hotel in my opinion.

Very positive
At the end of the day it was pradise

Everything is perfect: large bedroom and large bathroom, varied meals, exceptional welcome, top animators (Julie, Nadia, Thierry), friendly staff, white sand beach and turquoise sea.
Just a small downside: wifi is not operational everywhere.
It will remain one of our fondest holiday memories!
