Very nice hotel to spend leisure and to be relax. Service also very good.. I liked it so much.

All you need for a business trip. I would love to take my family here. Friendly staff, clean beaches. A place to relax.

The soundproofing of the room is not very good, but the food is great, the environment is very good, there is a separate island, and the evening performance is very interesting.

7 days of family dream for Christmas, in a hotel managed with class by the director and a staff available. Beach and pools at the top. I'll be back

What a fabulous honeymoon trip ... The staff take great care of their customers, we are not on each other ... A big special thanks to Jit who was wonderful.

Special mention for the cleaning of the rooms which was more than neat and personalized (in 3 days the cleaning service knew all our little habits).

Great rooms. Excellent service. Food was ok. Caters a lot of Indian dishes and alot of repetition. Spa treatments are expensive but so worth it. Concierge service was absolutely fantastic.

Great Hotel. Great service. As an IT person, met with the IT Manager who was very accommodating. Loved it.

Quite standard hotel for mauritius, beautiful beach view. Perhaps the low rating goes to staff management. If a guest pianist visits your hotel, he surely should be allowed to touch the piano. Have not been treated like that in while. The buffet was fairly standard, nothing much to take home. And lastly, that piano, please get it tuned and cleaned, the polishing outside does not remove the dust from within.

Nice room. Great bathroom with the tub. Excellent place for a family of 4. Kids activity is very good. Nicer staff! Much, much better then Sofitel Hotel in comparison. Only snag is the food wasn't as good. The buffet food was very dry at the time of eating and the lighting could have been better. The dining area where the food is has some tables but it is dimly lit and it was depressing looking. Ate at 8.45pm. Beautiful scenery by day and like how you can capture a beautiful sunset with the man made island positioned perfectly. Small things like that i noticed. The room could have been a bit cleaner. Mould was growing fast. Had some minor black spots appearing on the mirror! Yes i would definitely go again especially during the winter season.

Property is good but indian food is not up to the mark

My wife and I went to the intercontinental for our honeymoon, we had booked two weeks but unfortunately had to cut out visit short due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The resort is beautiful with extremely friendly staff, the food is really great and the drinks are all quick and tasty.

I wish we could have finished our honeymoon with you and may return in the future.

It's a 5 star hotel. Well it a very nice place which deserve it's 5 star.

The best resort I've been to so far with such an alluring aura. Right from the rooms, to decor, to ambience,to staff, to dining everything was simply superb. Simply loved it. Wishing to go there once again soon

Extra ordinary place. One of the most beautiful hotel on the island. A magical place that invites relaxation. A beautiful beach. To discover without restriction. The staff very professional and pleasant.

Awesome 5 star hotel, with an amazing beach and kids club. It has 3 restaurants if you choose the full board. Only downside is that its 20 mins from town so hotel water and drinks are
expensive

A must visit, your Mauritius trip is not complete without at least a few nights at InterContinental.

Not good! Worn out. Not so fun food. Absolutely no paradise beach! Very charter feeling.

But sadly, the Food and Slack Service let what could be a fantastic hotel that claims to be a 5* down. I would rate as a 3*

Incredible hotel, great views and great staff. Worth getting the IHG ambassadors just for this trip.

Rooms and service was sometimes excellent sometimes below average..Rooms were not appealing

Very nice hotel, room very good, beautiful materials. Staff in lobby very nice staff in very nice room and the restaurant depends on the day, they are often bad hair. But they are excusable in the sense that it is the consequence of a clientele very "spoiled child" who have eyes bigger than the belly and who wants everything for yesterday. On the other hand, the mini club is not up to par. Unmotivated staff, who by obligation, no shared joy. Atmosphere quite hypocritical. At the SPA, it was always nice to go there, good yoga classes and aqua gym, really kind staff, dynamic and attentive. I will definitely go back to this hotel but I will just avoid the miniclub.

It's an average place service is a bit slow...the beach has alot of rocks...but overall pleasant stay and majority of staff are really good...however this is not a 5 star resort, I would say it's a 4 at the max.

Amazing hotel, but I've only one regret: the service. I came there for professional reasons, and I really needed a kettle in my room so I asked for it many times but the staff refused everytime. They actually just obeyed the instructions they received. But a 5* Hotel and no kettle in the room? Well I've never seen this before.

Unforgettable stay

Very good stay, with a service like we are not used to. Spacious and comfortable room, personal care. (We even opened the bed at night by putting the little slippers on the bed.) How to get back to France after that?
Small flat on the dessert buffet but very suitable.
I recommend the all inclusive, because the cocktails and casiment all the rest of the bar is 400 rupee (10 ), quickly profitable.
West facing hotel for superb sunset.

Really awesome resort.. if you are going on honeymoon must book this resort nd my advice is just go for one day tour nd rest of days enjoy uotel activty they hv suana, massafe center some water activities they organize some parties nd in some package they include most of activities free. Nd food is so awesome.. and if you like indian test must visit veda restaurant..

Had a wonderful week at the intercontinental balaclava resort. This is our sixth visit to Mauritius. The staff especially at the beach bar were very attentive. The resort says five star but I would disagree. The rooms and hallways are all in need of repainting and tidying up.the beach is neglected and the gardens poorly kept. The Mauritian restaurant Segale was well presented with excellent waiters. The main restaurant was a huge disappointment. Like a big canteen. The whole restaurant needs a makeover especially the flooring which needs replacing. Whilst l love Indian cuisine I do not want it for breakfast lunch and dinner. Other nationalities were poorly catered for. I have never stayed in a five star resort and guests were allowed in for evening meals in shorts and unsuitable attire. If I pay five star money I expect five star facilities. I love Mauritius and would return but certainly not to this resort. This is not a critism if all the hotel staff who were first class.

Everything excellent except the waiter at Veda restaurant.

He seemed to be very hurry to let us finish our dinner. Kept caling 'space, space' at us when bringing our main course, he asked us to pack our plates quickly so he can put the dishes on the table.

I didn't want to complain until at the end of the dinner. He smiled at the Western guests on the next table, asking very politely if they had enjoyed their meal and then turned to us just said: finished? I'm Chinese, and he is Indian.

Amazing hotel, amazing staff. Everything about intercontinental was perfect. They treat their customers like god. Stayed there for a week. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They have amazing onsite rides and adventure sports. We only eat jain food, and the hotel prepared everything pure jain for us. This trip is going to be a really memorable one.

Its a really nice place except that waiting for our room is really boring(more than 90 min)!! XD

Beautiful resort.. Helpful staff. The best part is the food.. very large and variety of spread in the main restaurant. Indian food was brilliant in Veda restaurant.

The beach has dead corals so not great for snorkeling. The boat house is more interested in getting money from you than providing you services.
