Horrible service for check in. Once in the room (#...

Horrible service for check in. Once in the room (#800) tub/shower was filthy covered in dirt. Took 4 hours of calls and trips to front desk to get it cleaned. The a/c does not work,room is humid as hell and manager just threw his hands up and said there is nothing they can do because there is not a maitence man till the next morning. For a nationally known name they are without a doubt sub par. I get better rooms/ service at holiday inn than at Crowne Plaza. I will definitely not stay at one again and will do my best to push friends/family away from them as well. And to top it off none of the ice machines work on any of the 21 floors and there is water leaking Into some of the hallways with buckets to catch the drips from the ceiling. Absolute worst hotel you could possibly stay at!!!! Even after all these issues with virtually no resolution not so much as a food voucher to say sorry for your trouble just a shoulder shrug and a look of how much they could care less!!!!

Very disappointed! Wifi can be described as spotty at best. Asked for a extra blanket one night and the person on reception said "housekeeping is gone for the day and I don't want to come upto the 16th floor for a blanket. " Not a very convenient location for picking up food.

They stay itself wasn't bad. Plenty of late night activity around there though as well as a couple "working girls" lurking around. I was only there for one night though so it didn't bother me. What is bothering me though is that it's been a week now since I checked out and the $100 incidental fee hold that they put on my card has yet to be released! I travel plenty for work and have stayed in a ton of hotels and never have I had a hold on my card last longer than two days. When I called the hotel to ask about it nobody would answer the phone. Finally 4 hours and about 7 calls later someone answered the phone only to be rude when I asked how long it took to release the hold. $100 dollars is a lot of money to some people and could be used to put food on the table instead of it just sitting there waiting for someone to click a button to release the funds.

As if being forced to put a hold on my credit card...

As if being forced to put a hold on my credit card for $100 worth of incidentals was not enough, I have an air conditioner in my room that sounds like a frieght train, a shower control that has a mind of its own and was awakened this morning by what sounded like mice in the room. I can safely say that this is the worst Crowne Plaza I've ever stayed and I can guarantee that I will never return to it.

We had a fantastic stay at your hotel! I ate breakfast in the Bristol restaurant all 3 mornings we were here, and Claudia too excellent care of me each day, everything was a so=imply delightful experience. Thanks to everyone who made our stay a great experience.

I had an unfortunate booking experience where I slipped thru the cracks and the hotel did not contact me when there was an issue. However, a month later the manager still went out of his way to contact me and apologize for the situation. Despite the situation I was in before, this type of commitment and determination to go far beyond what I would expect others to go has left me certain that the management cares about your experience here. Thank you for going above and beyond following up on this, I will look forward to staying here in the future!

A/C generally doesnt seem to work as the general temperature is warm-hot (75-80 degrees outside at the time).

Had to go there for a work event.
Somehow they managed to lose my room reservation even though my room mate was currently allocated a room with an empty bed.

Food sucked as well.

This place is a seriously a joke. If you are considering this DON T I wouldn t want my worst enemy to stay here. I booked through Priceline it s advtised as a 3.5/3 star hotel motel This is a one star or less. I have stayed in Motel 6 s that look more appealing. I wanted to first look at the room before they were going to hold 100.00 on your card. I had heard of bad reviews with this place but thought maybe I would give it a chance. Going to look at the first room on the way up the elevators shook I really thought I might get stuck. Going into the hallway of the floor I was assigned it smelled of mold and urine. The sprinkler system on the ceiling looked like it was dangling down. I get to my room number 1 and the walls have water damage and wallpaper is peeling back in parts, again the room smells like mold and must and urine. Yuck!!!! I go back down riding a shaking elevator and ask to look at a different room. I really don t know why I did but I did. Same thing it probably looked worse then the first. I told the front desk I cannot stay in here and let myself or my kids get sick. Especially my daughter with asthma I asked for a refund but they said no one was in duty to authorize it. Since it was through Priceline. I had to waste more money and book elsewhere. The next day I talked to manager and she could only authorize one night refund and I would be penalized for first night. Really!! I m beyond furious all I want is my money back. Please don t stay here. Turn around and go somewhere else. I know they are announcing a remodel. I honestly think for safety of guest it should be closed down til they finish. This place is a joke and the staff are extremely rude!!! Do not stay in this dump. I also have pictures to document everything! Definitely I will also let IHG be aware of this place.

I had a wonderful stay at the Crowned Plaza hotel. The room was very nice and comfortable. I only had two problems with the hotel, 1 it was hard to understand the man at the front desk, and 2 the water pressure in the room was pathetic.

I don't understand all the hate from people... I went into this not expecting much from all the negative comments left but this hotel made a very good impression. I travel alot and the customer service here was a pleasure, mostly due to Carlos the night manager. I had one small issue with the lack some toiletries the first am and the time it took to get me some soap but after that everything was great. housekeeping was warm and friendly and every employee I crossed paths with had a smile on their face. The only negative I will say was I was told the pool was 24hrs which I sadly found out one night, was not lol great central location, tons of bars and restaurants within their FREE 3 mile shuttle ANYWHERE and a uber is literally 2 mins away at anytime.

This is definitely one of the lowest end Crowne Plaza's I've ever stayed at. The building is old and in dire need of repair. Rooms are relatively well kept, but they are painting over old run-down structure. I was in town for government business, so we were paying the full Government rate. Five star hotels downtown we're charging the same Government rate.

Location of this hotel is terrible. The neighborhood is dangerous and there is nothing nearby. They do provide a shovel, but you'll probably spend a lot of time waiting for it.

If this is the last hotel in all of Dallas with rooms, consider staying here. Otherwise, there are plenty of much better choices.

I wanted to do an over night get a way and had not been to this location in years but remember that I loved it each time I came so a friend paid for me a night stay just to relax. Well I am very disappoibted. First the smell they need to do something about the room smells made me sick to kt stomach and the restroom why is the tub so low and why are there so many hand rails in shower its clear they gave me a handicap room and I don't need that type of assistance. Next, your charging $15 for a breakfast which is too high for food that is not good. I looked around and people were frowning and leaving food on tables and leaving. I strolled on over to IHop around the corner and had a wonderful breakfast at only $9.72. It took me hours to fall asleep because I was so uncomfortable. I even bought air freshener to help. I will not be back. You were my favorite I pray you do some upgardes because it looks old and smells old as well.

Was concerned at first when read reviews, but once at hotel it was fine. Friendly staff, clean room, nice view and quiet. Breakfast should be free or at least comparable to area. It is a little pricey, even with coupon. However, the price was nice and so was the room..Enjoy a stay at the Crowne Plaza!!

Walked in at 2:14 pm and was greeted by a female asking us if we were there to check in. My wife said yes along with our last name, and we're answered with "huh". She then asked our name and we told her again. When we booked the hotel online we asked for an early check-in but the regular check-in was 3 o'clock so we didn't think 2:14 was too far out of line. She said the room we booked with a view was not ready but she could get it ready in 30 minutes. We waited in the lobby for it to be cleaned. 45 minutes later our room still wasn't ready. We asked another person behind the counter, he was wearing a white pull over shirt that didn't look very professional. He said he'll check on the status of the room. The room we originally booked was supposed to be on the 17th floor but come to find out the people that was already in the room didn't leave at the designated 12 o'clock check-out time and no one bothered to check this out until now. We then asked for just a room because we had to get ready for a party that was being held there. We asked for a manager on duty and we were told he was at home. We finally got in a room on the 12th floor after about an hour and half. The elevators in this hotel suck, they run incredibly slow. Got into our room, there is no refrigerator in the room and the only ice machine that was working in the entire building was on the 6th floor. There was an ice machine on the floor we were on but didn't work and had a sign on it that said call the front desk for ice. There was another couple waiting in the lobby for their room to be cleaned and they were told it would take 15 minutes, they were still waiting when we left to go to our room. This hotel is independently run and sucks. I will never stay at this or any Crown Plaza if this is an indication of how they are run. The staff at the front desk were rude and obviously didn't know what they were doing.

Good location off I-35. Get higher floor for a great view. We didn't have a downtown Dallas view but it was still great. Largest complaint was temperature. It was freezing in conference rooms and in our room. It was difficult to regulate a comfortable temperature. Staff was polite and room was clean. Did not use other amenities so can't rate those. Would stay here again.

This has been the worst hotel stay ever. When we arrived at the airport we called to have the shuttle pick us up however no one would answer the phone. After waiting 45 mins we took a cab to the hotel where the clerk said he couldn't help us because they where full even after advising him we had a paid reservation. Fast forward another 30 mins out reservation was finally found and we where given keys. Get To the room and while it was nice and up dated the bathroom shower had 2 temperatures ice and burning with no in between. I tried to call the front desk from my room and once again they never answered the phone. I would never recommended this hotel to anyone and I have asked my company to remove us from this location as well.

This hotel is in DESPERATE need of updates or a complete rebuild. The lobby is dated and small, the reservation agents are friendly and helpful. The elevators are OLD, scary and SLOW. I thought we were going to get stuck for a minute cause it was moving in a jerking fashion. The rooms are very dated and did not seem very clean. I will not stay again unless it is renovated.

The rooms were very nice, but the AC wouldn't turn off and the room was freezing. Found it the next day that they have to manually switch it over, which they can't do late at night because the maintenance men go home. Otherwise, it's a nice hotel.

For the price, this hotel was acceptable.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, not great (we didn't order from the omelet guy, though, so that may have made it better), coffee was horrible. They have fresh iced lemon water and bottled water in the lobby for guests. It looks like they had a shuttle service you could sign up for. We had to have a parking permit to park here and breakfast is not included, it is an extra charge. They have a gift shop, but buy water somewhere else because a 33oz bottle of Ozarka was $3.50, which is ridiculous!



Despite the negatives, it was a nice stay, beds must have been comfortable because I slept through the night, and the hotel is convenient to Love Field, hospitals, food, and major transportation.

Pretty good for it's price. We paid $60 for two double beds. The rooms looked clean but the carpet was slightly dirty. The hallways were dim but overall met the expectations of a three star hotel.

Beds were comfy, great service, reasonably priced rooms, and good food. Shuttle guy was awesome. They take you anywhere in a 3 mile radius. No shopping near. One thing is they never have washcloths. Each day I had to use a hand towel for a little wash cloth cause there was never any available. Thats a problem. Giving rooms 1 or 2 wash cloths is not cool at all. They do have cheap happy hour for low shelf liquor. Breakfast was
$12.95.

It s Crowne Plaza so it s going to be nice. Beds and pillows comfortable. Keurig coffee maker. Had a nice little gym and pool. Just a little outdated. Elevators are old and worrisome, you could see wires and maintenance stuff through the cracks and my room had a CD clock radio from like 2000 which just seemed odd.. didn t match the rest of the room which was upscale and modern. TV had lots of channels which was great. My hot water heater wasn t working so I had to switch rooms but the new rooms AC never went below 74-75 degrees and they keep it 76. Just hot. Couldn t sleep. Luckily the 3rd party site I booked through helped me out. Would stay again but I d check to make sure the AC blows cold first. This is a nice hotel but it s not the Ritz Carlton. It s not going to be perfect. No hotel is. Overall. It s clean. Safe and nice. Just need to fix the elevators, update the clocks/TVs and put new AC systems in the rooms. If you did that, this would be a 5 star stay. I wouldn t pay more than $60 to stay here again though. Free water bottles were a nice touch.

Paid for king bed room. Got there, no king available.
Got checked into a single bed room (at no additional cost). Dirty room.
Got relocated into a room with cockroach in bathtub and defective toilet.
I was told again I would be relocated at no extra cost, later in the evening.
Breakfast was not included in the fare however...
We got tired of their games and asked for refund and left.
For half the price stayed at the Irving Quality Inn, clean with breakfast and free shuttle.

The desk clerk was excellent. ..the room was not great....it had two little beds instead of a king for us to share and there was barely enough room to walk around. The room had not been cleaned well...the carpets felt dirty, we found wrappers on the floor, and to top it off there was actually dirt on bathroom floor which my husband had to clean up. The elevators shook and made a lot of noise..we seriously thought they would fall. Never again!!!

I am an IHG member and have stayed at many from Seattle to Little Rock. This stay was poor to say the least. We did not have towels or soap after the first night, and front desk did not answer when called. I had to go down in the morning for towels and obviously, they knew there was an issue, because towels were waiting for guests. Lack luster service must be normal and acceptable at this IHG property, because everyone acted like this is common. Rooms are sub-par and for a Dallas location, below average. We may try Hilton properties next time.

The stay would have been excellent apart from the various issues. Sink didn't drain, AC didn't seem to dehumidify, and the bedsheets were very uncomfortable. The continental breakfast was good but the servers were very under-staffed.

BUYER BEWARE. This was practically the worst experience I ve ever had a hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed here for Valentines Day and the elevator got stuck on the second floor in the middle of the night, with nearly 7 adults and 5 children all crammed into a tiny space for an hour and a half. The intercom to guest services was not working and the emergency button also did nothing. I was lucky enough to temporarily get 1 bar of service to call 911. Who knows how long we would have been stuck otherwise? The fire department rescued us and dragged us from the moldy, dusty shaft and ruined everyone s clothing. The only thing they offered us was an overpriced continental breakfast. I m appalled by this sham.

Great location if flying into Love Field for Dallas Market, but still not near Market Center. Great breakfast buffet, but restaurant is dated. My understanding is a remodel is scheduled for restaurant in March, hoping this remodel expands to rooms, because they're equally dated. Bedding was comfortable, water hot, and heating system ok.

The Windows are dirty, The bathroom was not cleaned properly. There was no shower protector to take a proper shower. The cloth shower outer curtain has mold on it. The a/c is not very cool. The floors are stuffy and hot. No ventilation. My aunt reserved for my cousin. Would not come here again unless nothing else was available. It's okay to rest then leave next day.

First I want to say the staff here is incredibly nice. The property itself is disgusting. I had no other choice than to stay at this location as the other nearby IHG properties were booked.
To say this hotel is run down is an understatement. Every other guest I encountered had similar concerns. Jokes were made in the elevators (especially #2) that we may very well die during the ride. One guest I encountered said she believed a prostitution ring was being run from this property, while doubtful, the condition of this property lends credence to her statement. It is not clean, it is in a state of disrepair, I wouldn t suggest this place to my enemy. Pretty sure this location was used during the filming of American Horror Story: Hotel.

It has one star because I cannot zero star review. It is worth driving farther and battling traffic than to book this property.

Good access from highway. Local places to eat in the area. Very close to the airport. In-hotel restaurant doesn't have many options for vegetarians. Internet didn't work for me at all, which hurt my experience there. Dated rooms. Fairly priced.

Appearance was nice however, there was a very off putting smell. Staff was helpful and polite. The location is got great, nothing around the hotel within walking distance. I would suggest people stay at the downtown plaza if they did not rent a car.

Fun place to stay, but be careful, they want a 100.00 deposit and even told several customers including myself that it refunds upon check out. Not true! I paid 69.00 for the room but wanted a 100.00 deposit? No mini bar nothing but room service is available. And upon check out the rude lady at the front told me it will take 14 days to refund!!! Also said I was lying when I told her I was told it refunds upon checkout. I inquired about staying a second night and I was told it would be 100.00. I looked at Priceline and it was 63.00!! I left after that. Being an IHG member so long it was definitely disappointing.

The hotel was very nice for the price. I did have a little trouble with the AC. I set the temperature down low but it never got down as late as I needed. The indoor pool was very nice and we'll maintained. The complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious. Hotel itself does seem a little run down and could use some renovation. Overall it was ok. I would stay there again.

The over three star rating is a stretch. The hotel is in need of updates and looks like it s on it last legs. The room was dirty , the walls above the bed appeared to be stained with a red dotted substance that appread to be blots of blood. There was silly string stuck to the popcorn ceiling. We were charged a $100 hold for incidentals which is common for hotels that have ammenities in their rooms, a stocked refrigerator, a bar , etc. , however none of that existed. I would not book another stay at this hotel.

Awesome hotel! We were put in the wrong room but I learned that it was because we booked through a third party and they get those reservations as double rooms. So, just be sure you book via their website. My husband ordered room service and the food was incredible! We also had their breakfast which was really great as well. The waitress went out of her way to get us a mimosa, she had to hunt down the bar key. She also purposely didn't charge us for the coffee! Very nice hotel, definitely recommend.

DISGUSTING- Had to change rooms as soon as we got there due to the unclean status. Trash on floors, dust coating everything, grime on bathroom floor and to top it off a huge booger on the "welcome card". Second room slightly better but, when we looked at the room service menu there were 2 long black hairs stuck to it. No kidding we couldn't wipe them off, we had to clean the sticky menu. Went to the pool and thought it was o.k. until we started seeing black hair balls floating around. They need a much better cleaning crew! Don't stay here if you can help it.
