Food was good and the atmosphere was great. Our bartender Elliot was awesome he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He suggested two cocktails for us and they were beautiful and delicious.

This place is like a bad parody of a trendy restaurant. The staff are condescending in the extreme as they explain how the place works - strict rules it seems as they definitely do not try to accommodate you. Instead they insist that all food must be ordered at once, will not arrive at the same time (or even it seems be delivered to your own table), and you absolutely cannot have cocktail recently retired from the seasonal menu (no 'sorry we don't carry the ingredients currently may I suggest...'). Also the portions are tiny to the point that plurals such as scallops barely hit the legal definition (i.e an entree of 2 moderate sized scallops). It would be fine if it were Manhattan, but this is Philly - you expect a little bit more for your money. Despite the hip decor and tasty food expect to leave feeling a little undernourished and like your presence was a total inconvenience to the staff.

So disappointed of that place ! Basically it s a beautiful place but food is very average and the service was really bad. I had one of the worst waiter ever. And even after giving him 18% of tip he left and complained to the other server about the comment that with didn t really like they re pizza ! I do not recommend this place.
It took 8 minutes before someone said hi to us when we went in and the staff at the reception look miserable

My college buddy and I went in on the night before Thanksgiving for drinks. The ambiance was good andIt wasn't really crowded given the holiday. Apart from telling me where I couldn't stand to order drinks, the bartender then walked away after I apologized and moved over to the appropriate spot. It seemed like they chose who they wanted to serve(read between the lines). TIPS is an acronym for TO INSURE PROMPT SERVICE. At first I thought it was just me but the same thing happened when my friend ordered drinks. So then I asked an attractive woman to order drinks for us and the fake mustache almost fell off the bartender as he tended with immediate service.

I moved to Philly around 6 months ago, this is by far my favorite place I've been to in Center City. The bartenders and servers were friendly and attentive, and the the atmosphere was fun, yet relaxing. I would definitely recommend visiting!

Pizza maybe the way to go. Didn t have it but that s what majority of the other tables ordered. Everything else was mediocre. Lukewarm food not evenly cooked and not worth the $160 for two starters, one side and two main courses. Drinks were average. The place has potential with good service and an awesome atmosphere. They just need to find a better chef or crack down on their lack of hot food situation.

Great atmosphere, tasty drinks. Came for a 4pm reservation and was so glad it was nearly empty, talk about social distancing! Less vegetarian friendly options than I'd typically like, but what I did have was good.

Ambiance and service were great, but food (pizza, pasta, pork belly) was very mediocre. Seating arrangements are also odd - we were seated in a crammed, lounge-style bench for dinner with a tiny table facing outwards rather than at each other. It would have been nice for a drink but was awkward for dinner. Other diners were seated at communal tables with no space between groups.

Went here for brunch buffet and it was amazing!. The food was terrific and you just can't go wrong with all you can eat. And here is the kicker...usually all you can eat is warmed up bagged stuff but not here. Home made pastries a waffle station ,omelet station and so much more. If you haven't been here you are missing a treat. Go now.

So let s start with the good...very friendly service. Loved our server. Lots of space between tables inside. We got the chefs tasting which was a lot of food. 8 courses. The fig toast and summer squash pizza were very tasty. Now the not so good...the shrimp were really bad and there were two. The clam pasta and scallop dish were so bland as to basically be devoid of any salt. The avocado salad was ok. The hamachi needed to lose the hot sauce on it, and we put hot sauce on everything but it threw off what should be a clean, delicate dish. All in it was over $200 for a bottle of wine, chefs tasting and tip. It s a lot of money for a meal that had so many misses. Don t see us going back here.

On 3/20, our group of 11 people made reservations to have dinner at this restaurant. We arrived at the restaurant a few minutes before the reservation and that s is where it all went south. From being seated, to ordering, to paying the bill. EVERYTHING had issues where the arrogant staff told us that they couldn t do something because of policy. Read the other reviews too. You will see others talking about the arrogance. Believe them. Restaurants are supposed to provide service, that s what we pay for. As for the food, the seven courses added up to hardly more than an appetizer and was pretty bland. Would not recommend.

Phenomenal food! Went tonight during happy hour. The lamb meatballs were so good! Prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was so laid back and inviting. If you're in the area, stop by, you won't be disappointed.

I loved it. Found it online, went in. I didn't expect it to look like that. What I saw online did not do it justice at. The appetizers were delicious and the drink's were too. Will definitely be going back and bringing more friends. The bartenders were fabulous! And I am only getting four stars because I only had appetizer and drinks.

Beautiful place and needless to say about the food. Great !! We ordered the lamb meatloaf and the chicken domplin. Both dishes excellent. The pizzas also very good, the pizza dough in the best Italian style. I would definitely eat here again if I went back to Philadelphia.

Great place for small plates and cocktails. Plates are great for sharing, and the food tasted spectacular. The pizzas are a little heavy on the crust, but they still taste amazing. I had two cocktails while I was there and was impressed with the quality and flavor of both of them. Worth it!

There also seemed to be a bowling alley in the basement, but you need to reserve it in advance.

The food / menu needs work. I expected the creativity, quality, and flavors akin to Sampan or Double Knot, but was disappointed. The aesthetic is pretty cool, though and looks like a fun place for a drink.

The Sunday buffet brunch at this place is the best I've had in Philadelphia! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is hip, light and airy and the perfect combination of finished not finished. I highly recommend a trip to Harp & Crown!

Very cool design. Very comfortable setting. Nice service. We went for brunch which is a flat fee of $28 per person. Lots of choices, including a carving station. We quite enjoyed our experience there!

Went last night for restaurant week, they were offering a 6 course dinner for $35 a person, I figured you can't go wrong there. The meal was excellent, everything came out perfectly cooked, and seasoned. The only compliant I have is having to split 3 scallops between 2 people, we understand the cost of scallops is high, however we thought for an entree for 2, 3 scallops isn't enough, maybe as another course though. Despite only getting 3 scallops we still left feeling like we got a great deal.
Service was amazing, throughout it our waitress cleaned the crumbs off our table, and made sure our water glass was always full. They definitely have well trained hospitable servers.
We sat on this cozy looking booth along the wall, it was a super cool table that I couldn't stop raving about the whole night, other than it being drafty there it was perfect.
Thank you harp&crown for a delicous meal and wonderful service!

Didn't realize they were only open for 2 months when we went. A few things were a bit rough, but it was a great experience, great food, good drink selection, and the wait staff was knowledgeable about the food and drinks.

Came here for restaurant week 2018 with a group of three. The portions were doled out appropriately for three half grown children. I left starving. Food itself was quite delicious and well presented. The dishes brought out were the same size as the table for two next to us. Sorry. I am still bitter about how hungry I am.

This brunch place is awesome. It's the first place I've been to that has a buffet style brunch. The food is really good, service is great, drinks are good - and it's a buffet. You can't go wrong here. It's pretty busy on weekends so gotta get there early.

Service, I would crown.

Tierra, you made me feel at home.

Harp & crown is always one of my favorite places in Philly. It's a great place for date night, cocktails with friends, and dinner. I recommend the octopus, pork belly, and tuna. It's a fun environment with a warm and cozy feel.

Great decor, delicious drinks, exuberant crowd. Went here with a friend from out of town for drinks and dessert and had a blast! Sat at the bar with no wait on a Saturday night. Had some cocktails, wine, charcuterie and dessert. Everything was great, service was friendly and knowledgeable, ambience was perfect for catching up and facing a good time. Loved fast the space was big enough that we weren't crowded by anyone but was still bustling. Great place for dinner, drinks, dessert, dates.

Harp and Crown is a really beautiful location. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and the interior is very well designed. They have a really broad menu of vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The food was pretty good but I wouldn't say it was anything phenomenal for the price that we paid. The wait to get in was actually rather large also so I would recommend making reservations in advance. The service and staff was really good and they were very accommodating to our asks and needs.

We spent the night bowling in the Elbow Lane for a company launch party. Service and food were great, and it's always a fun atmosphere in what feels like a room deep down in the heart of Philly.

One of my favorite places to go for business or personal gatherings. Their happy hour specials are out of this world, AND drinks end up being 1/3 the price of their dinner menu drinks. Weather bar or table, service is always on point. Very friendly, accomdating, and cozy environment.

We went during happy hour and got some food and a few drinks. This is a great venue! The food was amazing without fail and the bar tender was knowledgable and on top of our every request. She even gave us the dime tour of the downstairs bowling alley and adjacent bar. If I could give this place six stars, I would!!!

Although we had an issue finding the entry initially once we were inside, it was heavenly. It was warm and filled with great smells. Our server Darian could not have been more professional and personalable. The Sunday brunch was right on point. My husband really enjoyed the sausage, omelet station, and waffles. I was really into the decor and the bagel station. The coffee was strong and piping hot. I'd recommend this place.

Very interesting place with friendly accommodating staff! We were taken downstairs through a hall to a back bar where they have 2 bowling alleys and food and drinks were great (we were there for happy hour so prices were on point as well )

Came for restaurant week dinner and it was a great deal! All options are off their regular menu and it was $10 cheaper than their regular tasting menu price (normally $45/person). The only downside is that your table has to agree on one option for the table for each section of the menu, no matter what your party size. For this reason, I would recommend going with people who have similar food tastes. Overall, everything was delicious and the restaurant interior was well designed and atmospheric.

Harp & Crown is just all kinds of awesomeness. They have a kick-ass Happy hour menu from 4-7 everyday. The "Elbow Lane" is a subterranean bowling alley (speak-easy) with the most inviting decor. The bartenders are ridiculously good looking and their cocktails are bangin-licious. The "Joe and Joe Show" is a must-see downstairs on Thursdays.

I have only visited Harp and Crown for their brunch buffet. Their selection of high-quality foods is vast and more than one can ingest in a single visit. The buffet attendants are responsive and meet the customers needs promptly. The atmosphere in the building fully completes the dining experience. Their coffee is a superior quality to most other restaurants, as are their fresh juices. The only issue I had was that the seating along the wall was very awkward, with small tables and tightly packed next to other customers. If you can avoid that seating, it's a five star service.

Great place however, the seating for 2 was uncomfortable. It's a bench seat and you end up sitting closer to a stranger than your date. The table is super small. The food and atmosphere we're great.

Had the best server ever. We showed up a little late to our reservation and the hostess was really slow to get us seated. At first we were very unhappy, but our server, Christian, was really understanding and accommodated us with complementary courses and checked up on us frequently. His service was amazing and the food was delicious. He turned what was going to be a disappointing night into a great one.

I loved almost everything about this place. The food was divine, the staff was amazing and accommodating, and the ambiance was unique and pleasant. The lamb neck cannelloni was to DIE for! By far my favorite dish! The presentation of each dish was beautiful and colorful. One thing I didn't fully enjoy was we got seated at a small table along the wall where you're seated next to each other... I called it a "date table." This is a genius way for the restaurant to save space and seat parties of two. It would have been perfect for a date, except the arm for the table comes right out from the wall in the middle of the table, and separates both people. We struggled to even hold hands because the arm had bars underneath it too. Since plates are brought out as they are ready, it was also difficult to have more than two plates on our table at once. I would definitely go back for the food, but maybe request a table or booth.
