After a horrible experience at this place, I wrote to the company headquarters and the owner himself and they never had the decency to respond. My letter was respectful not aggressive and still there was no response. This company doesn t really care whether you have a good dining experience or not.

Food was good, but the restaurant didn't seem to understand restaurant week. All 7 of us were supposed to order and agree on the same 6 items. That's not really the point in my opinion. We ended up ordering 2 items each a la carte and sharing. If they are going to do restaurant week like that, it needs to be posted with the online menus. Might go back for happy hour

The cocktails were excellent (I heard they were made by the best bartender, Sarah), and so was the service. We had the chefs tasting menu, which was 7 courses plus dessert for $45 each (served family style). It was almost too much food! It was all delicious, especially the salads at the start and dessert. The seating for two was unusual, side by side on a couch with a little table fixed between us. It was a little weird for conversation, but cozy. We heard there is a bowling alley in the basement, but we didn't get a chance to explore tonight. Next time!

Came here during restaurant week 18. First place I ve been to in Philly where I will give a 5 star rating to every category I look at: Service, Atmosphere, Decor, Quality, Variety and Vibe. I absolutely loved everything about this restaurant, and for the time being, consider this my #1 spot in Philadelphia. Please go, you won t be disappointed.

Great HH food specials, but cocktail and beer was lame. Regular drinks are expensive but good. I would recommend getting food from the HH menu and then going across the street for margaritas from Mission.

A short walk from the Convention Center. Food was okay but pricey for the quality. Waitstaff was friendly. Each dish comes out when ready so not everyone at the table will begin eating at the same time. The restaurant is very dark. The two of us were seated on either side of a bracket mounted to a bench running alongside the wall. A small flat table surface is attached to the bracket. When eating, you twist your body sideways - a novel seating concept. We were facing the bar (lots of fun people-watching entertainment). ( : Overall, we were not impressed with this restaurant s decor or food but this is a hip place so you better make a reservation if you want to eat here.

Cool vibe and great place for awesome food. The service is great. I suggest making a reservation no matter when you go. They have a good Happy Hour at the bar.
The menu is creative and they pride themselves on sending out the food when it is ready to be served. Meaning that food will not come out in any special order. Best option is to share with friends and get your server to describe the menu options.
Ambiance inside is like you are in the garden looking up to the sky. Very pretty place.

The food was good, but we found the portions to be small even for Philly standards. I got the cheese board and it was small slivers of cheese. My husband got the mac and cheese which was delicious, but again, on the smaller side portion wise. The seating was by far my largest complaint. Since there were two of us, we got to sit on the couch that ran the length of the bar area, with this little awkward arm rest table. At one point someone else sitting on the couch was struggling so much she got up and attempted to shove the cushion, which ran the whole length, back up against the wall. Your feet can't touch the floor while you're sitting, so it just leads to an uncomfortable experience all around. The service was good, but I'm not sure we'd go back.

$28 Brunch Buffet with amazing selection. Everything is amazing. All your classic brunch items and more. Came back two weeks later for the second time because it is that good. Smoke salmon is my absolutely favorite, and grill grapefruit. So much more than you can imagine.

Went to buffet brunch. Chicken and waffles, prime rib, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, good cold cuts and cheese spread. Some brunch special cocktails...bottomless would have been even better. Ambiance clearly hipster.

This place is way too overrated. Menu is kind of boring. Food/drink is overpriced. Place was crowded. The table for two we were initially seated at was very awkward (kind of a bench with a side table looking towards the people walking by the table and sometimes bumping into your feet). We had to ask for a different table and ended up sharing one with another group. Gave it 2 stars because there simply was no value returned on the money you end up spending here.

We stopped at Harp & Crown just briefly for a quick drink. Kinda liked the place but felt it s much more suitable for larger parties, especially with indoor bowling alley with private lounge area that can be hired for parties. Service was ok too.

Came here on a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded. We ordered some excellent cocktails and creative appetizers. The building has rustic, nautical-themed vibes. There is a bowling alley in the basement.

Very cool restaurant with gorgeous decor and an intimate vibe, despite it's large size. Hidden speakeasy in the basement makes for a perfect date night and the rent-by-the-hour bowling alley is perfect for those with deep-pockets looking for some separated party time. I've heard they have fantastic brunch here, but haven't tried it yet!

Second time here and simply cannot put into words how great of a brunch this is.

Chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, shrimp, and tasty drinks are the best fuel for your day exploring Philadelphia.

You must go here.

Food is good. I think they try too hard to present it to the customers. Spaghetti was a tad too salty. I ordered a Basil Hayden, neat. They charge me $12 plus an extra $2 for serve it neat.

Food a bit expensive for my taste but quality good.
I had the pick and mix including the cauliflower- would give that a miss. Salad was good though.

Only been once so far, mainly because of location I have become a Jersey boy, but damn it was good. We meet up with friends for brunch and it was well worth every penny. So first you can get a group of brunch drinks, mimosas, Bellinis, & bloody Mary's for $15. Not a bad deal there. Now the food...oh bother it was good. So they had fresh everything, fresh granola, fresh yogurt, a donut bar where you make your own donut, fresh waffles, fresh pastries, an omelette bar, just everything is fresh.

One of the best happy hours I've been too. Great drinks, delicious food, large variety (for a HH menu) and wonderful atmosphere.

Definitely coming back.

Word of advice, it gets crowded fast, still get there as a set schedule possible.

Delicious tapas-style food in an inventive English pub-inspired setting. One of the best meals I've had in Philly with flawless service to boot. Definitely try the tuna poke and carrot cake.
The beer selection is also fairly exotic and worth a look.

I like this place. Service was great. Food was delicious and flavorful. We tried the chefs special where we got to try one dish from each section. It was a great way to try everything.

Went here for the brunch buffet. There is nothing like it. AMAZING.

I also brought my whole team here for dinner and everyone loved it. One of my favorite places in the city.

Went here for restaurant week. The ambiance was nice, very cool decor, but that s about all I can say for this place. I realize that restaurant week can back things up, but the service was dreadful. Like, nobody was rude to us, it was just slow. And the plates just kept piling up at the table. Literally our appetizer plate was cleared with our dessert plate. The food was just eh, and the spaghetti which was recommended by the waitress was the most overcooked, runny pasta I ve eaten in years. The Peruvian chicken was ok. The cocktails were 15 bucks a pop, which whatever I guess that s standard for a nice restaurant. But they came in a THIMBLE that was mostly filled with ice anyway. 35 bucks for restaurant week was whatever, but if I was paying their full prices, I would have been pretty peeved. All in all, give this place a skip...

I found this restaurant thru timeout while I was searching what to do in Philly, it was love at first sight! Called in advance to make a reservation because of our anniversary. The hostess was nice and very helpful. Finally my husband and I arrived to the place and it was as I imagined it. Very nice atmosphere, food was amazing!! Our waiter was the best, her recommendations on drinks and food, just excellent.! We got the Big eye tuna poke, octopus a la plancha, diver scallops, side of roasted brusell sprouts with no bacon. The plates were good for us to share and again..Just extraordinary service in general!! At last, because im a dessert person:) I got the caramel apple (it was very tasty, the ice cream with a touch of cognac..just delicious!

The food was amazing!! The ambiance is classic, cozy, and romantic. I ordered the lamb meatballs, seared scallops with spinach and lemon, and the eggplant pizza. They were all sooo delicious!!! I also ordered the mac and cheese, which I did not like at all because it was way too bland. I think they should season the noodles while being boiled, and add more flavor overall. However, I most definitely will come back again when I'm in town...

This place is a lot of fun! I went with hubby and friends on a recommendation and was not disappointed. The outside is easy to miss when you're walking down the street, when we went inside we were surprised by how big and nicely designed the restaurant and bar are. The hostess took our names and we had drinks at the bar, which was packed at 7pm on a Friday. After we had dinner and wine. The tables were cozy, the restroom was clean. The food was awesome but the waitress did try to encourage us to order 3-4 dishes per person. While we didn't order quite that much , it was still a lot of food. Mostly a tapas style menu with some entre-like dishes. Overall, we had a great time and good food.

Had a dinner reservation for two, and our experience was phenomenal. Our server, I believe his name was Cory, was knowledgeable and extremely helpful, especially since it was my first time. The small plates were delicious. After dinner, we descended into the well manicured bar/speakeasy/bowling alley downstairs for drinks. Our server downstairs was Emily. She was a delight, smiling gracefully through my tourist like indecisiveness (I'm from Jersey). The bartender was also incredibly friendly and talented. Then, the manager spoke to us. His enthusiasm, genuine concern for his crew, and sense of humor just tied the whole night up in a memorable bow. I've been a restaurant manager for nearly a decade, and I can tell you that the service I experienced at Harp and Crown is what many places strive to accomplish. Absolutely impressed. Will certainly return. You can order great food at a lot of places. Impeccable service is why guests come back.

A very original and cool place to eat, loved the environment and the steak that I've ordered. Menu got a lot of Variety so ordering a couple of different plates would be a good idea. Make sure to check out the bowling alley and a bar down on the lower level.

The food, drinks, and happy hour prices are great! Definitely go for the fried chicken sandwich. The problem with this place is the staff. They act as though they are the most important people you've ever interacted with. I've never had a friendly bartender, waitperson, or host (the hosts are actually the worst of all). I'm not sure if its a requirement to be rude to work here, but if so - their hiring manager is doing an outstanding job! The bar space is also not big enough. There is absolutely no room to stand - unless you get a seat, you're out of luck.

Very cool atmosphere and the bartenders are excellent and craft great cocktails. The bar is also set up well for mingling even when the place is packed, and it's vibrant but not too loud to hold a conversation. The food is also delicious. I don't live in philly but often stay in the rittenhouse or old city areas, and I will definitely be coming back here.

This restaurant has unique atmosphere and nearly all menu can be transformed to be gluten free. Everything I had was unique and amazingly tasty. One of the best I have been to recently. The staff is very pleasant and efficient.

I liked this place a lot! We were only there for drinks but the atmosphere was cozy. There were a lot of cool non-traditional seating arrangements around and I'm definitely looking forward to going there for dinner sometime soon. It definitely feels like a good date night spot.

Finally got around to giving their weekend brunch a shot. I don t understand their setup as they have a set of tables when you walk in and then a waiting area with a hostess stand and then the rest of the dining area. Interesting concept but fails in execution as you have to navigate hoards of people waiting to be seated as they won t sit your table until everyone arrives, even if your reservation time has passed

They have the brunch buffet set up all around the bar; however, they only have plates (tiny plates) in one corner of the bar making navigation difficult. There is no order going around the bar.

Our server attempted to highlight the buffet to us and the must-haves but did a poor job of that. She said there was a meat station which had what she thought was Pastrami and shouldn't be missed. I believe she meant a carving station with Prime rib. Close I guess. The chef at the carving station was more concerned with his phone then offering to cut meet, and the omelet station was uncrewed the times I took a look.

I m fairly sure that every table has a number and every seat does as well. So I m not sure why there is always so much confusion when a runner comes to deliver a cocktail from the bar as to whom ordered it. It s not a guessing game. The staff just didn t seem into it.

I gave it a try but unfortunately won t be back. The food was decent but the overall experience was not worth it.

Restaurant week was decent, but pretty small portions. There were 5 courses, however we had to share all of them family size. Cauliflower was mind-blowing! Nothing special about the shrimp, though.
