Great decor. Good atmosphere. Subpar cocktails - we had two, both incredibly sweet. Just Decent food. Out of 5 dishes we just liked the cheese plate. Lemon (unexpected) was overpowering the other flavors in half the dishes. Mushroom gnocchi not recommended.

The space was beautiful and although noisy, intimate enough to be able to talk to the rest of your party. While I found the bench seating SO CUTE, my boyfriend thought it was "slightly awkward" to eat at the smaller round tables. We experienced the chef's tasting menu which stuffed us both. We chose all seven of our dishes, starting with the heirloom tomato salad (to die for), and followed that with ribs and a cheeseboard. Next was the pizza-- sopressata, honey and shishito peppers... AMAZING. We finished our dinner off with a large bowl of macaroni and cheese, 1/2 chicken, potatoes and chocolate cake. The only disappointments in our meal came with the chicken and the chocolate cake. We felt the chicken was on the dry side, and the cake was nothing exciting, but honestly, the other food we were served within that meal were so good that it was just hard to compare. That being said, our service was amazing for being what it was on such a busy night. We are planning our next date night here! Cannot wait!!

Beautiful, fascinating vibe and the food was phenomenal. We got the tasting menu and it was SO worth it. You get to choose 8 items and the portions are very generous. We were really full by the end of the meal. Great drinks too! Our favorite dish was the fig toast.

I went for restaurant week. A good selection of dishes for any dietary restrictions. Portions were a bit small. Atmosphere makes it feel like an intimate place. There's also a bowling alley inside, but that required a previous reservation. Would recommend.

So it's really good....but....only if you go with a group of mayb 4 people or less. We tried going with a crowd for about 8 people and there was barely any food. Frankly, we were all dissapointed during restaurant week boasting 7 courses because we each had maybe 7 bites of food. We left pretty hubgry and dissatisfied. However i still gave 4 stars because I've gone before with a smaller group and it was fine

Met friends after work for a few rounds of delicious craft cocktails, so I can only speak to the bar and not the restaurant. There was only one bar tender (someone called out I believe...), but you wouldn't know by the service. She was quick, consistent, and friendly. There was also a wide range of top shelf liquors to choose from if "neat" is your preferred way to drink. I didn't get a look at the beer or wine list, but I'm sure that was above par as well.

Michael Schulson s breathtaking Harp & Crown, restaurant, bar, and also underground bowling alley offers one of the cities very best weekend brunch. A beautiful, bi-level space which links two bars together, for New American, eats and yes a basement bowling alley.

Came here for restaurant week and had an amazing experience! The restaurant week menu typically lets you pick one item from each of 6 categories for the table to share: raw, veggies, toasts, small plates, pasta, and meat/fish.

Lamb meatballs Yes tasty but tomato-based sauce is not supposed to be served in cast iron container. Iron oxidizes with acid in tomatoes and tastes like rust. It happened in my case right in few minutes from time it was served on my table.

It is not right if allergies one can have bad reaction flared. Hope this place takes note of this and modifies!

I was here for a private party in the basement bowling area. I liked the space, the food was good, and all the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. I can't speak to the cost but the execution was very well done.

Such a fabulous space! Love the atmosphere. They have a nice happy hours selection from 5-7 with wonderful options on the full menu as well. The service is also great - the bar tenders were personable and attentive despite the rush. It's a great spot to take someone you want to impress!

I'm writing specifically about the brunch. It is awesome! Imagine an all you can eat buffet just overflowing with delicious options all for an extremely reasonable price and that's what you get. The space is also really amazing and a pleasure to sit in. Definitely my go to brunch spot now.

All the food was fantastic and very good quantities. The place is very cool and lively and the cocktails are also really good. You don't need to order the tasting menu as it would be too much food. Worth checking it out if you are in Philadelphia.

Restaurant Week lunch menu. Server told us everything would be served family style between us, but it wasn't and the runners didn't know who got which plates. Pickled kumquats with the burratta and the onion jam on the burger were good. I like clever condiments. Pineapple upside down cakelet with a quenelle of ice cream was dwarfed by the plate. Unisex "WC" was ok by me, but an obviously unpleasant surprise to some other guests. Chairs are generally uncomfortable. The banquette on the wall looked difficult. The food itself was very tasty and I would go back to try more of the regular menu.

The choices of food was great. Beautiful tall ceilings in this establishment. The meat plate and the pork is definitely a must try. The wait without a reservation on a Friday night was roughly 1.5 hours. The waiter was very attentive and provided us with many menu/life tips.

Very cute aesthetic and food was delicious the service could be a little more attentive for example refill the water more than once during the night or check in to make sure all the dishes arrived to the table

Their restaurant is beautiful and the food is great. I love their happy hour downstairs bar, that has a speakeasy vibe with bowling lanes! Brunch is a buffet but great... not 5 stars because their cocktails are not good. Bloody Mary was one of the worst I ve ever had.

Atmospherea and food were great, but the service... I reminded them of the special occasion I had made a reservation for three times but eventually they forgot to put the candle and sparkle on the dessert and when I had no other way but asking for it in front of the birthday guy, they just put a sparkle on it, without even a single candle.
It was disappointing.

Drinks are great. Nice sized crowd during happy hour. Staff is pleasant and somewhat accommodating. They didn't have much to offer me with my food sensitivities but I managed to find gnocchi and a beautiful beet salad. Salad was wonderful.

This is one of my favorite spots in Philly. They have an amazing all-you-can-eat brunch on the weekends. They have really good food & cocktails. There's a secret bowling alley in the basement, but I didn't just say that.

DO NOT GO ON RESTAURANT WEEK!! Went here for restaurant week to try it out and I was told by the waiter we would be served family style of what ever we ordered. So, one dish of your choose to be shared. To clarify, we ordered the crab and avocado toast. It literally was one slice of toast cut into 4 squares for us 4 people to share. We each got a tiny square. We were given one small bowl of salad for us to share. We each had one fork full. We ordered lamb meat balls and we were given four. 1 meat ball per person. We ordered oysters, and received 2 oysters per person. We ordered scallops over risotto. It was one scallop per person with one spoon of risotto. I understand it is restaurant week but do not tell me it is family style as it was not enough to feed a family. We were still hungry. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because the food was delicious.

Game here with a bunch of friends from out of town and had a really good time. They were able to fit 12 of us (with same day reservation) with ease. The food was solid and there was a good mix for most dietary restrictions. The cocktails were also very solid.

We all loved our food. The service could have been slightly better. I find it strange that the servers don't have bussers to help with refilling water and clearing plates. I can't blame the server for the delay in service from her needing to clear tables and circle back to other tables to fill water.

This has quickly become my favorite spot for happy hour! Most places have a very limited menu for happy hour but H&C had a pretty extensive list of things to snack on. The two cocktails they offer were also both really good! My girlfriend and I shared the meatballs, whipped ricotta and shrimp toast and were a fan of it all! I absolutely loved the decor and overall ambience In here. Also, happy hour is only at the bar but the bar has ample seating. Great service, great drinks, great food and great vibe.

Beautiful decor, excellent food, and knowledgeable bartenders who expertly make high end cocktails. I recommend this for a party or just for people watching the well dressed bar scene. Has an NYC feel to it in the middle of Philly.

Poor treatment by maitre'd.

Poor treatment by maitre'd.

My husband and I went to dinner at Harp and Crown to celebrate his birthday. We made a reservation and noted that it was to be a romantic dinner celebration. Upon arrival, the maitre'd asked directed a hostess to seat us at an awkward sofa-like banquet with no table just a little platform that extended from the wall. When we informed the hostess that such seating is not what we had in mind, she took us to a loud communal table. We sat and immediately asked our waiter to call a manager. We explained that we'd noted when we made our reservation we noted it was to be romantic, and that such a table was not what we had in mind, she said that they didn't have tables where they sat pairs of diners. The manager blew us off when we pointed to the man and woman seated alone at a four top. The manager ultimately took us to a basement bar where we ate.

Food was good and wait staff warm, despite the management.

Absolutley exquisite we tried about 8 different options on happy hour and they were all equally amazing. My husband and I are chefs and we dont go out often and are usually disappointed but everything here from food drinks and service were completely worth while. We brought my best friend for her birthday and shes excited to k me how great the place is to come. Ack with friends! Definitely would reccomend and will 100 percent be back.

I've been for drinks and always enjoyed it. On the upscale side but fun. The real gem here though is their brunch. I went the other day and damn... I was blown away. The food was not only amazing quality, but the variety was insane. I had three plates and I don't think I scratched the surface of everything I could have possibly had.

I recently hosted a work dinner at Harp & Crown. We were a party of 5. Our party had Burrata Salad, Lamb Meatballs, Charcuterie, Chef's Choice Dry Aged Steak, 1/2 Roast Chicken, Hanger Steak. All the food was delicious, especially the sauces, which really stood out. I had a Ruby Slippers cocktail, which was awesome. The whole table enjoyed the far-reaching beer and wine selections Overall ambiance was relaxing, perfect after long work day. Prices were fair for what you get. The staff was knowledgeable and responsive though a little on slow side, especially given that we were in on a slow Tuesday evening. Otherwise, great experience and would come back again next time in Philly.

Visited for brunch, would not recommend. Waited to be seated despite having reservation. Half the foot trays we're empty(it's a buffet) and when asked "oh we're out". One person working double duty on prime rib AND omlettes, not cool, I don't want to wait 15 minutes in line. Everyone was friendly and the decor is very cute but without food why go to a restaurant?

Harp & Crown is a nice "new American" restaurant serving up tasty dishes in a warm and welcoming ambiance.

The restaurant is spacious, with high ceilings, big giant wooden tables, armchairs by a fireside, a big open bar, and more. This all gives the restaurant a cozy and homey feel. It can get a bit loud inside, but not stuffy or claustrophobic at all.

The food here is intended to be shared, and they offer a variety of veggies, salads, appetizers, pizzas, fish, and meat dishes. The Brussels sprouts were amazing, as was the salmon. Nothing disappointed, and it was nice to come with a large group to try many items.

Prices are reasonable, though more than I'd pay for a normal everyday dinner.

Overall a fun and tasty meal. Check it out for a special occasion or a group meal out.

Visited for brunch and although the restaurant is very pretty, they ran out of a lot of food that wasn't filled again until when we were done eating and there was only one person doing omelets and cutting meat even though there was a line for both. Was disappointed.

Wow. Seriously wow. We visited for happy hour and had an incredibly delicious, inventive, filling, and fun time. Our server, Johnathan, was very attentive (but not overly so) and when he didn't know the answer to a question, was quick to ask the manager. He was friendly and, after we told him we were new to the area, made several suggestions of other nearby places to visit. The food was truly excellent. The croquettes were tasty on their own, but the horseradish sauce they were served in brought them to the next level. We also had the burger which was cooked perfectly and came with VT style cheddar (our favorite) and remoulade. The beef skewers may have been the most tender beef I've had in a year, and the whipped ricotta was delightfully light and nicely seasoned. We each got drinks, and all of this (before tax) was $27!! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Booked indoor seating for a Saturday night. The interior is absolutely stunning and the atmosphere is great for a date or intimate dinner. We were able to catch happy hour drinks which are extremely reasonably priced! We decided to do the Chef s Tasting menu which is $50 per person and portioned out for two people and is 8 courses + desert. This was the best way to Expereince the full menu and we had plenty of food! Was a beautifully presented & tasty. Our waiter Josh was super nice and very attentive. Would recommend.
