Crossfields Australian Pub Review

Very colorful restaurant. Really "In to the Wild"! You can try kenguryatina and crocodile meat, I also recommend Rock Red beer. For those who have already become boring, I recommend it.

Bar staff were very helpful and the food was fantastic. Would definitely recommended

Forgetfull staff. The beer arrived after a few reminders and it wasnt busy at all.

Service was really, really slow, the bartender was more interested in arranging the glasses than serving his customers. The drink selection was good though.

For a burger restaurant better go to Macdonald. Everything is said homemade but it seems to be wrong. The steak looked like reconstituted meat, the bread from the burger to the one found at the supermarket. For a hamburger at 15 euros we expect much better ...

It serves crocodail's meat. This is absolutely inappropriate!

Shame no Aussie beers on draught (Carlton, VB etc.) But they did have heaps of stubbies. Single fin is a beer I miss from Perth and great to see it here

Fully cool pub .... good and exceptional food (crocodile .. kangaroo .... grasshopers) moderate prices .... nice condition .... speak english and german !!!!!

The food i think is too overrated.. today i was there tasting their crispy chicken sandwich it wasn t really good i mean i ve had once their burger sandwich it was way better .. the chicken had no taste at all, so much butter i didn t like it ..
however its a nice place to drink something, bartender was friendly...

Come for the Fantastic Burgers, Stay for a second Burger ... "From the Grill" Items are also Fine. Great Place to eat out with family/friends.

I really like the atmosphere there, as if you were actually no longer in Austria. In addition, the food was very good and the hay tracks are a very fun challenge.

Nice pub just next to albertina, very friendly bar staff who all spoke English, happy hours 4-6 and one in the evening so not too shabby prices, the nachos we're massive!

IN the heart of the city, its an amazing place not only to drink one of their homemade beers , but also to grab a nice burger, or maybe a cocktail , they got it all.

Feel like eating some alligator or kangaroo steak - well the mates will serve you one.The staff is very friendly and the food/drinks comes quite fast.

The place is very cosy, all woody like a 80s western, and the music they play also fits that era.It has enough space inside, even tho it can get very full at times ( sport events on TVs ).Theres also a table football.

Australian themed pub on the main course in Vienna. It is possible to come only to have a good beer or to eat. Dishes range from veal burgers to kangaroo hamburgers, fried locusts to crocodile. It is usually recommended to book a little early, especially for the weekend. However, the kitchen is open until late. It's a good place to watch football matches. The non-smoking area is located in the basement area decorated like a mine is very characteristic but you need to make some stairs to access it. There is also a small table football to challenge your friends.

If I could put 0/5 I would do it. The home seems not too bad on the other hand during our intervention the waitress was unpleasant to avoid it. So we left without consuming anything.

One of my favorite places in Vienna. Best beer of the city. Enjoy your meal. Nice service and central. Therefore always full, which speaks already for the restaurant. Simply TOP!

The waiters only spoke English there after I indicated that I only speak German and were eaten up. It was too loud, you couldn't even talk without screaming. The food is not really that special. The atmosphere was acceptable.

Service was very slow, even by European standards. Food was decent, so was beer. Prices were, eh. Not bad if you want to watch a rugby game or something.

A very atmospheric place, we had a delicious meal, it was fun, noisy and positive. A variety of alcohol to choose from. Prices for the center of Vienna are more than reasonable.

Everything was perfect but with the Mixed Starters a little too little sour cream sauce

I have been a regular customer for years
in the Sacher-owned Crossfields Australian Pub. On today's visit I have allowed the boss to ask for a small paper banner as a souvenir. Answer: It costs us something, because everyone could come. Is not that paradoxical? The rich company Sacher is too good to give away a small paper banner (value maybe 30 cents). I will surely redistribute this negative experience. The Fast.Sacher including Crossfields Australian Pub will never see me and my relatives again.

Lovely staff, great food. The burgers - amazing! Everything I tasted left me completely satisfied. Could use a bit more beer variety though. But I had a great time. Will come back. It's a must visit!

The restaurant is rustic and furnished according to the motto "Australian" ... Very successful and attractive!

The food was ok but unfortunately cold (burger & mix plate for 2 people including side dishes / french fries / vegetables / onion rings) ... as we had also ordered "extraordinary dishes" we were initially irritated that it was not even lukewarm.
3 other dishes were warm ... assume that it has been standing somewhere for too long ..... In any case, a shame !!!!
Have tried crocodile, kangaroo and grasshopper ... I would definitely eat the grasshoppers again!
The service is very friendly and hard-working .... They mainly speak English .... for me personally ok .... but not everyone thinks it is good!

The relaxed atmosphere and flair fit very well. Next time I might try something out of the promising menu

3 times there and 3 times it has paid off. There are many exceptional dishes and specialties. The staff is also very concerned about his guests

I have been visiting Crossfields since I was legally able to drink almost ten years ago and it has barely changed. And why would it? No need to change a winning formula, the only thing that's different is that they stepped into the 21st century and banned smoking apart from outside on the terrace. Crossfields has a reputation as a fun, welcoming place with great, carefully chosen staff that work hard and make your stay enjoyable. It's not cheap, but neither are any of the city centre bars, it has a wide variety of drinks and the food is always tasty. A trip to Vienna is bizarrely not complete without paying a visit to Crossfields. It's an institution.

I always go to Crossfields when celebrating a family birthday. The food is always excellent, the drinks good, the staff friendly and helpful. Great place to try something new. Reservation recommended to avoid disappointment.

I didn't try the food here but was told the burgers a very good. Other than that the atmosphere is very nice and the beer's good!

We did not try the food, but looked promising. The decor is really unique, so nothing stands in the way of a cozy pub evening.

One of the most casual pubs in Vienna. Distinguishes itself by the "Australian" character of the Irish pubs. Exotic foods such as grasshoppers to try, who dares, but also kangaroo and crocodile steak. Beer very good. Friendly, pure English speaking service. Reservation strongly recommended every day !!! Priced for the 1st district in the frame.

Cold beer and all Aust. Sports on offer for us travelling Aussies. Bartender was great with the group of us there!

Prices are pretty reasonable, especially for a centrally located bar. It's not really authentically Australian in any way apart from the fact that they serve kangaroo meat, but it's not a bad bar in its own right to sit and have a beer. The house lager is average, but not disappointing.

I was there for the first time. For an Australian pub, I would like more regional beer. One of their main beers is from Ottakringer. You can think about Ottakringer as you like, but I do not associate it with Australia.

Eaten a meat plate with crocodile, kangaroo, beef and grasshoppers. It was not too much of the amount, the quality was fine, the price with 22 then not quite so cheap. All in all, the pub is worth a visit. A second perhaps, but my favorite restaurant will not. There is a lack of coziness.
