It's a great hotel. I'll definitely be going there...

Lovely stay. Nice room. Best massage ever. Friendly helpful staff throughout..
Lost point only due to creaky floorboards in some parts of hotel corridors etc
Excellent for the whole family
Plenty to do. Cosy cabins are fantastic.
I came to the Crieff Hydro on 4/1/17 as an evening wedding guest. The entrance to the venue is lovely and modern, the main room for dancing was a great size as it was a ceilidh and made it really enjoyable. This room and the dining room however seemed quite outdated in style compared to the modern entrance. Apart from that this was a lovely venue and I enjoyed being a wedding guest.
Great location and reminiscent of a bygone era of class. Loads of activities.
Good Hotel & Spa. Lots to do Adults and children. Food very good. Rooms modern and spacious, Beds a little uncomfortable and creaky. Great place to spend a few days and would certainly return.
Large Victorian hotel now upgraded to accommodate modern tastes. Has golf, bar, games, sports, brasserie, traditional restaurant, dancing and fine views of surrounding hills. Popular with families so expect lots of kids.
Great value, plenty to do, lots of entertainment and family friendly
The rooms are fantastic, and there is lots to do. But it can be very busy especially at holidays.
Wonderful to go back for the first time in years. Made to feel very welcome. Staff are great.
The staff and lodges at crieff make it stand out, brilliant place for a family stay.
Our room was front facing and the views were breathtaking.the building is old and amazingly well maintained and full of quality and character.the big swimming pool was an ideal way to start the day followed by a full Scottish breakfast which has everything you could possibly wish for.The staff were very helpful and efficient regarding COVID-19 and we felt safer than we do at home in England,Well done Crieff Hydro we are looking forward to more visits next year.
Really good hotel lovely reception staff and nice atmosphere. Good family place. Would recommend
Lovely place especially for families with children. Action glen has lot of outdoor activities and if you want have some time for yourself you can leave children in Big Country where they will take care. Also great offer of food in various restaurants. Nice surroundings.
Think it is over rated for the price they charge for the rooms we had bother to get in the room a few times we had to get the domestic's to let us in our room and was very noisy with lots of kids screaming and shout could not enjoy your meal
Love this place. Very welcoming. Went up for their first Christmas Market and stayed for lunch. Will be back in the Spring
i cant wait to come on friday i already now its probaly fab x
brilliant for romantic meals, great afternoon tea. many facilities offered.
The winter garden is a lovely place for lunch and the grounds are great for a run
Lovely hotel friendly helpful staff great facilities lots to do good entertainment programme enjoyed quizzes and photographer Trevor was really good and helpful second time here would come again maybe food portion sizes could be increased could not get appointment for massage dinner service not so good on the Sunday evening and food was not warm. Disappointing but overall good
Excellent family facilities in a beautiful location.
Love this place so nice for a cuppa staff nice and views from tea room were stunning of hills.
Friendly staff. Great 3 night stay with my daughter.
Food was lovely. Staff where great. Room had an odd smell though not horrible but odd. No bottled water in the rooms which Is a must due to how how the room was. Facilities are brilliant for kids and families.
Have been coming to the hydro for the last 25 years as a family. We still love it and there is plenty for the whole family to do.
We stayed in the Hydro for a long weekend, in November and had a fantastic time. Our children 2 and 4 loved the kids club and the pool and we enjoyed the peace and quiet!
We all had such a great time we booked our return trip halfway though the first one. Looking forward to it already.
Looks super
Only went in for some information but staff were very helpful.
only here for 2 days feel like I need a week here so mutch to do for the kids amazing
First class, Family room was perfect with spacious main bedroom and two single beds in separate room. The bathroom was also very spacious with bath and overhead shower and also a separate shower unit which was also very spacious. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a family break with plenty activities or relaxing spa area.
We used the swimming pool for a family swim. Children's pool was very warm and big enough with toys and balls. Plenty of changing rooms and nice showers. The girl at the desk was really friendly and welcoming. Had a fab time.
Crieff hydro is excellent lots to do great for kids not to be missed a must visit
The location and outdoor activities on offer are really good - the treetop adventure is excellent for the whole family and the walks around the hotel are just beautiful. The hotel lets itself down in a couple of ways - they fail to make the most of Scottish produce - this could make the restaurants higher quality by amending the menus and sourcing their ingredients locally. The rooms are also quite stuffy and too warm and I just didn t enjoy the breakfasts which were very busy and (again) food tasted like no-one had taken care of where the food was sourced from. Other than that, a great place to come for a family weekend away, particularly with younger kids.
If you've got kids the place is perfect for you. If not, you might want to look at alternatives. Despite that, helpful staff and lovely food. Try some of the lethal cocktails in the Meikle bar.
Hotel was nice, but a fairly commercial high turnover site. Food was okay but not special. Many of the facilities showing wear and not as luxurious as advertised.
Also stayed there 15 years ago and the experience was much better at that time.
Had one of the Executive Apartments. Really nice lovely area and brilliant for families even those with pets. Heaps to do and also not do if you prefer.
Awful. Run down and in need of updating. Noisy, dirty, uncomfortable bedroom. Left early
Loved the place!! Had an absolute amazing time with my gf. There were so many activities--Loved horse riding and the staff were lovely. The swimming pool was beautiful and enjoyed every bit of our stay. We ordered takeaway from SUMEru Indian Restaurant and the food was absolutely delightful. The staff who took the order gave us good guide on the food and the food was delivered very fast. Overall this trip to Crieff was just amazing and hope we will come back again.
Great place. Easy to arrive from Glasgow or Edinburgh, nice surroundings and great activities to do in the hotel, many of them are included. The quality of the food and the installations are over the average. Hoping to come back soon
Great hotel set in a stunning area with amazing views. Touch of Scottish class.
Excellent service friendly staff couldn't do enough for you
I have been going to Crieff hydro for many years and always very relaxing trip. Highly recommend to all.
Positives
1. Many in-house activities for adults and kids. On rainy days we could keep ourselves occupied for the whole day.
2. Kids friendly place
3. Decent restaurants
To be improved
1. Dirt absorbing carpet everywhere. Very old fashioned interior. Lot to be improved to fill in indoor light.
2. Shoddy house keeping. Stained duvet covers, blood stained pillow, torn towels and dirty stained toilets are what's left after supposed to be cleaning session(see pics)
Really enjoyed our stay.Everything is at the highest standard and the staff couldnt do enough for us and always very pleasant. We will be back, thankyou.
Rooms very messy to much for the rooms provided food was ok staff are unhelpful
Super facility and great lodges.
Lots to do and see.
Great vistas in an old building with a contemporary make over. Relaxing and well staffed. Good just to pop on for a quick sandwich in the sun room area too.
Such a beautiful country setting for a spectacular hotel. Crieff Hydro is the perfect place to relax, eat and exercise. It's all there to enjoy. Big mention for my favourite place to spend time.. the Victorian Spa. Loved my mini break from beginning to end. Thanks.
Lovely place, well maintained and suitable for, business, leisure and families.
Excellent overnight stay to celebrate birthday. Bottle of Prosseco from hotel. Nice clean room. Lovely 3 course dinner in Meikle restaurant and full Scottish breakfast. Lots of activities for adults and children. Used the Victorian Spa which was very relaxing especially after I had been on a horse hack. All the staff at riding centre and in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Hopefully return soon.
It was ok but not the best hotel I've been to. Rooms were a bit tired looking and food was mediocre. Wouldn't recommend it or return there myself.
Awesome place to stay a couple of nights. Loads to do in the grounds but you must book a few days ahead or activities will be full.
It has a great swimming pool free access and towels and good wifi and quite quiet
Brilliant venue for my nephews wedding.
Food was delicious and the photo opportunities limitless. Great day at a fantastic venue xXx
Lovely venue for coffee and cake. Coffee and cake themselves were mediocre but I enjoyed the experience.
Great choice of restaurants and bars. Leisure facilities a bit full
Pretty good. Lots to do and helpful / attentive staff in a lovely setting. Just too busy! Noisy with loads of kids running about and not enough seating in he bars or lounge.
This hotel has it all. Great rooms, amazing facilities, next level children's club and an awesome location. The hotel cares about it's staff as much as it's customers. This only makes your stay even more enjoyable
Good facilities and great service in a treasuries building
Over rated, over priced and staff not that friendly or helpful
Went there for a spa day and loved the Victorian spa with all its water treatments and facilities. In the afternoon we had a massage by friendly, competent staff and were very chilled by the time we left. The grounds are also stunning with More
Lovely hotel and super for children. We prefer the sister hotel Murraypark for eating
Crieff hydro itself was nice, the room was nice, but the food wasnt the best, it wasnt very hot and they ran out of steak.
I was looking forward to my massage treatment the most and it was terrible for the price! It was meant to be a full body and they missed parts of the body! Never even offered a discount and then when i emailed about this all they had to say was that it was one of the most experienced therapists and that they dont believe it wasnt up to standard.
I would not return to this place, its not 4 star at all.
I booked an executive studio for 4. (2 kids and 2 adults). On the website it stated that the check in time was 2pm but we were told that it was in fact between 2pm and 11pm and it would be free only when the room was cleaned. We got access More
Fantastic hotel, loads to do, exceptionally friendly staff and very clean. Come here nearly every year
Nice place with great views. Massive place with pretty much anything you could want in a weekend away. Tends to cater mainly for older clientele but did see some young families.
Lovely place and very well kept. Excellent staff. Shame no steaks in Meikle Restaurant!
Always a pleasant place to stay or visit. Cafe nice but a little expensive. Friendly and helpful staff.
It's a great hotel with a reputation for family-friendliness which it generally deserves. Due to Covid, its usual range of children's activities has been curtailed to be replaced by its Action Glen centre. It might have been a nice gesture More
Very nice. Stayed in Cozy cottage 5 bed. All facilities wonderful. Only complaint it's 5th pull out bed smelled like mildew.
Creiff hydro is a great place for families you stay in hotel or hire a house we had 3 bedroom house it was great big living room bedrooms were brilliant so clean wee hamper was left with tea coffee and other bits and pieces lovely touch u can use the hotel for swimming and the kids stuff had the best time they also have good eatn places and some lovely walks would highly recommend it
