Crews Inn Restaurant Review

Not what it was. The bread and brie used to be so good.

Food was very tasty and portion sizes were great for the price. I had the Steak and fries and my wife had the Mahi Mahi. Both were a good choice. In addition to that, the man, who I believe was the owner, provided an outstanding level of customer service and friendliness that makes you want to come back. Definitely a must try if you want to enjoy a nice meal by the water.

Outstanding service on a very busy day! Food is well prepared, tasty & portions are large. Not just a summer destination, good restaurant year round.

Waited forever to be seated. Not very nice. Kind of a dump

Just had dinner and our experience was terrible. Food was medium, but our waiter was no where to be found... They really need to have better training...

Service and quality are always hit or miss, which should not be the case for what you pay here. With that, its still a fun atmosphere

Tried the salmon with asparagus on side. excellent preparation, good and polite staff

Was seated right away, but didn't get served for about 15 minutes. Tried to order some Labatts Blue, but was told the fridge wasn't as cold as it usually is and the beer would be warm. So didn't order it. Tried to order a few different food items but they were out of a lot of stuff. The food was ok but not worth it for what they charged. Waitress was nice to us. Just not impressed with how the place is ran. Used to be impressed with this establish but not so much nowadays.

The appetizer was good, the prime rib was not. It had no flavor, the vegetables were hardly cooked and the potatoes were hard.

We used to frequent this place as we loved the location and the patio. Other than that we definitely did not come for the mediocre (at best) food. The service was a hit or miss and their hostesses have to be the most disorganized and rudest people I've experienced at a restaurant. They often over served people to the point you had to deal with bloated, sun burned middle aged men screaming over each other about their boating stories or the "Karen's" who tried to fight the waitresses when they're told they can't seat themselves as there is a wait for a table... Not worth our money.

Oh boy, not good! I had high expectations with a Google search. I guess the internet really can make anything look good. The ombionce was underwhelming, I got that feeling it was that kind of place you should just turn around and leave, but hey I had a Groupon (*indicator). Prices were far too high for the quality of food. Best thing we had was a caesar salad for ten bucks, it was basically a plate of lettuce and dressing. The seafood platter screamed frozen, not fresh, fried in old oil. The service was somewhat prompt, but far from friendly. I could go on, but take my advice and just don't go.

Only thing id say good about this place nice view by the water. The coconut shrimp I got tasted horrible an when they came out they were all clumped together horrible presentation. I had to ask the waiter for a refill she did not take it upon herself. For the prices they charge you would think more selection as well. They were out of 4 different salads plus 3 entrees when there's like no one in here on a sunday afternoon. Don't be fooled by the nice view by the water n nice outside. I won't be coming here again. Im literally just eating the fry's here because my entree is shrimp just horrible. There's many other places off north river road here with just enough nice as a view. I will definitely go to one of them next time. Don't waste your hard earned money here with over priced food not worth it at all.

First time eating here and it was a total flop. I knew we should've left when my fiance had to send back his watered down Coke. We placed our order for Fish n Chips $15.95, I asked for extra crispy and Chicken Alfredo $18.95 and the waitress asked for dressing types for our salads (ranch and ceasar) since those came with the entree...salads came out and mine was on a small plastic plate with only watered down iceberg lettuce and I mean DRIPPING WATER with no other toppings....really???? No croutons, cheese or tomatos, oh wait it have cucumbers. I could've made this at home. My fiance's came out on a large white glass plate with romaine lettuce and croutons....weird I didn't get something similar.

Entrees came out let me just tell you the Alfredo looked like a child's size portion with 5 small pieces of chicken on top. My fish n chips were so soggy and dripping in grease. After peeling off all the breading my fiance was already done eating his Alfredo! He took like 5 bites and gone hahahaha. I couldn't even finish my meal because of the grease. A waiter came by to take our plates and I told him how we were unhappy and without question he did take the fish n chips off the bill.

Once the bill did come we found out why his salad looked so good...the waitress upgraded him to a "Cesar Salad" and charged us an extra $3.95, thanks for telling us we thought we were getting salads with the meal no extra charge.

The only thing that was good was the warm bread. I think we are gunna have to pass on the Crews Inn forever, totally had a bad first impression.

Great place to come by boat, they find a way to take your order fast, and bring out food quickly, to facilitate a great Quick Stop...

Go there all the time excellent food excellent people great atmosphere price is reasonable

Clam chowder was awesome! Filet was super tender and cooked perfectly! Staff was very friendly, what else can you ask for!

Terrible service one of our parties chairs broke while they were sitting in the chair no one came to apologize. Ordering a beer took 30 mins

Was pretty nice though the view is kind of obstructed.

Arrived at 7pm with a party of 10. They said it was busy and no definate wait time. We asked for outdoor seating, we had 4 small children with us. Two hours later and still haven't been seated after asking multiple times. Rude was not the word! They did not want to accom9date us. Tables were open on the patio, we said we'd take two seperate tables, still nothing. I went in and asked for the two empty booths inside. They were back to back and she said, oh no. Those are in two d8fferent sections with two different waitresses. I said what's the difference? Oh, no, we can't seat you there. We left. We went to Bad Brads. We came all the way from Romeo. Did I mention it was my BIRTHDAY!!! DID YOU EVEN ASK???? YOU RUINED MY BIRTHDAY. YIU WERE BEYOND RUDE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. THOSE POOR LITTLE KIDS WERE SO TIRED AND THIRSTY BY 9pm ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY. SHAME ON YOU CREWS INN!!!!!

We went in on 4th of July and were told there is a 15 minute wait to be seated because the wait staff is busy, and we patiently said ok and put our name on a list. Then we grabbed a seat in the bar and purchased a few drinks from the bartender. While having our drinks 2 groups that came in after us were seated. Then I waited to get a second drink and the bartender sees me waiting but takes other people before me even though they asked for drinks after me. Mind you all I wanted was a beer and it would have been so simple to grab one out of the cooler but instead she decided to take the people with mixed drinks before me. You can definitely tell who the favorite people are. Won't be going back anytime soon. Disappointed.

We just left the restaurant and I was so disappointed in my meal. I ordered the lion fish appetizer and a side salad for my dinner. The portion of fish was so ridiculously small and they charged $14.95!!! The mango salsa was good and my husband enjoyed his prime rib but so disappointed in my minuscule portion. We let our server know and she apologized it it was not her fault!. I would have let management know but saw no one on our way out.

First time there an I will definitely be back. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Thank you again groupon for turning me on to this I've lived here all my life and never knew this restaurant existed. I Highly recommend this establishment. I will definitely be back.

Great menu selection and friendly service...definitely recommend. Still nice in the winter but would be really great during boating season as it is right on the water.

Been going every thursday with my dad and grandpa for years. Literally never had a bad cup of soup, nor a bad slab of prime rib. RIP gpa

We arrived by boat. The waterfront view is great! We had clam chowder and perch sandwich. Both were excellent.

Right on the water. Not a lot of spots to park your boat, though. If they are all full you'll have to dine elsewhere if you are coming in off the water. Nice and semi-upscale inside. Great food. No kids cups, so be prepared for spills.

Great location on the water, but quite pricey. And the hostess who was working the evening we were there was downright unpleasant, a terrible first impression for the restaurant to give its patrons.

Excellent food and service!!! Can't wait to go back! Fish and chips...crab cake lunch...philly cheese steak soup! My parents had the clam chowder said it was the best ever!

Food is just.. ok. Never had much of an excellent experience here. The outdoor seating is beautiful in the summer but doesn t make up for the food.

Food was pretty good, not cooked to order but the taste was good. Now the service another story for sure...every requests seemed like we were pulling teeth, felt like we were an absolute inconvenience for our waitress, in fact we ordered a 2nd drink during lunch 15 minutes past didn't see it or our waitress so I stop another and wow it clearly wasn't her job to check on our drink....she finally showed up with the wrong one and to top off the lunch we were billed for drinks we never even ordered...nice atmosphere if i can put something nice in.

We purchased a groupon to try this restaurant. The inside is nothing more than a any family style diner you visit around town. It could stand a little soft music to add some atmosphere,Maybe dim the lights a bit. I mean for the amount of money spent you can do better. The food was fine.
The mix drinks weaker than weak. We think this place has the ability to be able to offer a much nicer evening than it delivers. Overall a 3 out of
5 for value. Service was nice and friendly. More of a brew and burger bar.

First visit, lunch on the patio, crab cakes are amazing and full of crab, perch was fresh light and delish, the view was wonderful and Julie our server was great!

Nice location on the Clinton River. Seating indoors and outdoors. Food is great and service is excellent! Many special events year round, including dinner cruises on the river and lake. You will love this place!

Server was excellent. Rib eye steak was properly prepared however for the price is a very thin steak. Wouldn't order i rh again.

They are not doing anything to insure safety regarding covid 19. The bartender on patio had mask on her chin and when she talked spit coming out. Even owner Tom had his mask below his chin. No servers had gloves on. Menus were not wiped down - disgusting! We usually enjoy going to this spot in the summer, but honestly not sure we will be back.

Great location, great food, and, and even better service! Try the Woodsman Style Chicken or the Tournedo of Beef Henry VIII. You won't be disappointed!
