I have been going to Crescent Heights for a few years now and have nothing but great things to say. The Ladies at the front.. the hygienists and all of the staff are great to work with.

Dr Newbert is professional, friendly and takes the time to ensure you understand everything. Ten Stars!

I have been going to Crescent Heights Dental Clinic for years. I have always had such excellent service from the dentists, technicians and reception. I felt comfortable with the safety precautions in place when I entered and had my appointment. This week, Stephanie and Melissa provided such friendly and knowledgeable service. I would highly recommend this Clinic to anyone looking for a dentist.

I have been with this dentist for almost 11 years. I really like them and don't even live in the neighborhood anymore but still travel down for my appointments. My favorite hygienist is Nicole, she is great and takes great care of me and my family. If you hate going to the dentist then you are probably going to the wrong clinic. Check these guys out!

Amazing ! Dr. Newbert was really nice to my daughter who previously had a very traumatic experience with a different dentist elsewhere. He was able to get everything done and my daughter actually said she had FUN! Neerishima was really good as well, explaining everything to her and being very nice. Crescent Heights Dental is an amazing place to get your dental work done the staff is very nice and the dentists are all amazing!

Staff is very polite and great with children. My soon has had great experiences with them. If you have an appointment they respect that time, you will get in at your established time.

I ve had a terrible experience with dentists which have left me hating going to the dentist .... Dr Newbert has changed that he s fixed all my dental issues from prior dentist s and made my visits pleasant again his work is impeccable and a very nice solid team too back him up !

I LOVE going to my dentist office and getting my teeth cleaned! Everyone is always so friendly and happy. My 2.5 year old loves going too! I have been going to Cresent Heights dental for years and have never been disappointed. They know I can feel sensitive and be a little emotional when I come in so they always make sure I'm okay and offer me a little extra kindness. They're the best:)

Great , friendly , knowledgable , and thorough dentists and staff. They accept new patients and their schedule is very accommodating with early mornings and late evening bookings and weekends to choose from . They're a non-assignment office and will process your insurance for you and follow the 2015 Canadian fee guide which is good news for your pocket.

I was a first time caller/patient to Crescent Heights Dental. I had questions re: different dental procedures and dentures. The receptionist that I was speaking to was very friendly and helpful, I believe her name was Paula. She was able to answer all of my questions and get me started with the help I requested. I find it hard to find considerate, helpful people these days in the world and you can tell she is one of those people.

Had my first appointment with Dr. Newbert today, and with Karen for cleaning. Their service was friendly, professional and comprehensive. Karen gave me some great advice for home care, and Dr. Newbert took the time to explain everything to me after my exam and to map out future treatment options. Great service!

Had a great experience with Ashley at Crescent Heights Dental Clinic. She is professional and down-to-earth. Highly recommended!

I had an excellent experience (well, as much as going to the dentist, can be! LOL!) Dr. Wong is very kind and always offering positive and calming words, the whole team is funny and happy! In regards to pricing: I have insurance and they only cover what is "fair and reasonable" I had to pay about $25 extra per treatment... which is very typical (insurance usually undercuts a bit) so, I wouldn't call that overpriced (going to the dentist, period, is expensive, but they aren't more expensive than anyone else) I will definitely be back, hopefully with less cavities :)

Been going here since I was a kid and it's always been great. I always looked forward to the playroom! As an adult it's still a very professional and caring dentist office.

Went their two years ago for a cleaning, they told me I had 6 cavities and that my dental health was SO BAD. Odd..
My current dentist said I only have two cavities. One being a wisdom tooth that was recently removed.
Careful when going here... Especially if you have decent benefits.

This was my first visit. Dr. Chow and Catherine (RDA) both shows their professionalism and my concerns were addressed efficiently. They are truly commendable and deserves a huge recognition. Crescent Heights must be very proud to have them around. They are valuable asset of of this dental clinic

I will never be a fan of having to have my teeth worked on but....I love Crescent Heights Dental Clinic. All of the ladies at the front desk are friendly, kind and accommodating. I love Dr. Karavos and he really changed my whole outlook on having to have dental work done. Thank you! Yesterday I had to see a different dentist as it was a spur of the moment appointment. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Paladino. I expressed my fears (they are real thing) and within a very short time she made me feel that I was in good hands and quickly calmed my nerves. She was kind, caring and professional. Talked to me through the process and had me out of there quickly. Thank you to all at the clinic. I know there is no way of getting around having to go to a dental office and I am glad I have yours to come to.

My first appointment with this clinic was due to a dental emergency. They have emergency hours/days, which is a huge help!

From that appointment to my current one, the staff and Dr. Paladino were extremely helpful and giving of their time to explain every step.
I don t have a lot of resources, so they broke down all the costs to be sure we didn t go over my insurance limits.

When most dentists would push hard for costly procedures, I was given all the information and probabilities to make my own informed decisions. No pressure at all, which was greatly appreciated!

Ive been there for over 3 years now and my hygienist Karen is awesome, very calm and patient , I definitely recommend her ! the whole staff is great , I always feel comfortable every time , even for filling appointments :)

Everyone here is always super friendly and personable. The reception ladies are fast and diligent and I've never had any issues going here. Been a client for 5 years now, and will continue to be one. Nicole is a fantastic dental hygienist, who is gentle yet vigilant. Would highly recommend them!

I have been going to this clinic for many years and find it excellent in all respects. They are on time, supportive and don't push extra cost optional treatments (although they do have them available). In an emergency, when my wife suffered a broken tooth, they managed to squeeze her in within 2 hours for a first-rate temporary restoration when her own dentist (she is not a CHD client) was unable to find time in the foreseeable future. This sort of thing has happened before where they will do everything possible to help you out in a bad situation (even on a Saturday in my case). Good attitude everywhere and they make you feel like they value your business.

I don't have insurance so must pay full-pop out of my own pocket. Calgary dental fees are said to be the highest in the country. I have compared and CHD rates are typical of what you find here. Yes, they are costly but no more so than anyone else. At least you can be assured of getting top quality work done.

honestly absoltley the most horrible and unorganized and uncomfortable visit I have ever had in my life. I was supposed to go in for extractions of all my top teeth,,,you would think the dentist would spend a bit of time before meeting the patient so he might have some slight idea as to what hes doing..No not this one asmy anxiety is getting worse and i now feel sick sweaty and dizzy hes doing whatever it is he is doing. Not in anyway trying to make my visit the least bit comfortable. It was a huge waste of my time,,,I couldnt eat anything for two days before had anxiety all week for what just a horrible experience,,,Id say if you are a person who has the slightest anxiety about the dentist Idstay away from the idiot dentist there that does extractions cause he has the wrong idea or knwledge about how to deal with patients that are uncofmortable at there visits... Thank you for lengthing my bad experiences at the dentist you at least succedded in that.

Over the years, I have had many Crowns, fillings and interactions with different dental professionals and have worked in the industry for over 25 years. The Cerec Crown she completed in a difficult location fit like a glove and left me with NO pain or discomfort before OR after the fact!! Thanks Dr Chow and Ashley!! I did a yearly cleaning and checkup here last week and everyone from reception to hygienist to Dr was accommodating and friendly. During the cleaning Dr. Newbert informed me they could fix these fairly annoying front tooth chips I've had for years. I was always under the impression that this involved a crown or a transplant or a bulldozer or something. Went in today for 30 minutes, a bit of chatting, bonding and polishing and came out with a flawless, even line between my two front teeth. These guys are great and a big thank you to Dr. Newbert and Neerishma.

I was just at Crescent Heights Dental for a cleaning and checkup on Feb. 2, 2021 and I'm always very happy with my visit. My hygienist Nicole is very gentle while doing the cleaning which is always appreciated. She also fit me for curaprox brushes and gave me a couple to help with cleaning between my teeth which has always been a problem area (even with regular flossing).
My dentist Charles (Dr. Leung) is great, he makes the visit worry free and I think he does a good job pointing out potential issues in a way that doesn't make you feel bad or too worried.

My 3 yr old son got a filling by Dr. Newbert. He did an awesome job. He was patient and very friendly with my son. You will not even notice which tooth is the one. Kristin, At the front desk, helped with the insurance and making sure we get our next app.

My first appointment was on early July, I called specifically asking for a general check up and that I needed my retainers as I had just lost them. That day went well but I was told I had to make another appointment for the impressions the next available date they had was July 22 (two weeks later). I went and got the impressions done and was told they retainers would be there between 1 - 2 weeks so an appointment was made on August 4th. I got a text that day saying the impressions had not arrived and the appointment needed to be cancelled. I called the following week to see if they had arrived and was told they would check with Invisalign and give me a call back a whole week went by and I received a call on August 19 saying that they need to redo the impressions and the next available date was August 25. It has now been over a month of me waiting for the retainers and likely will be another two weeks before the arrive so a month and a half waiting. I'm very disappointed by the way they have handled this situation and will not recommend this place to anyone and likely after I hopefully receive my retainers one day will not be coming back.

I have been going to this clinic for years and my dental care has been great. I won t let anyone but Aileen do my cleanings - she s gentle, thorough, and very friendly. I hate going to the dentist but the kind, caring staff help make it a more positive experience.

Very curtious and friendly staff! Dr. Newbert was understanding of my fear of dentists and made me feel comfortable and at ease. Neerishma was very helpful also in making my visit less stressful! Thank you all!

This was my first time at this clinic and I will be treating this as my new location for all my dental work. Booking over the phone was easy and friendly and the online forms were done in advance so check in during covid was fast and had minimal contact.

My hygienist Nicole was amazing and explained things as she found them regarding build up and her reccomended changes to my routine as well as why she was reccomending a 6 month cleaning check-up given my conditions. Also she followed up on areas I was worried about and was great conversation to keep my mind off the work being done.

The real gamechanger was Dr. Palladino as she is the first dentist who explained her approach to me. What could be watched, what should be done now. Dentistry has always been a blame game of dentists shaming me for: not flossing enough, or those few years I didn't go to the dentist while in university, making cavities seem like a personal failure and leaving me worried my teeth were rotting and falling out! Not this time, she explained the causes of minor tooth decay/rot, what is likely just dark spots on the films that she will watch, and what she felt were inevitable spots that would decay over time even with the best care (which she will preventatively fill). I finally understood my treatment and felt like I was given a reasonable protocol for once. Will be going back soon for that preventative work and be back in six months to see Nicole for a cleaning!

Good hygienist but don t like paying 160 dollars when I have blue cross plan c and just wanted a routine cleaning as they had already done full check with xrays 6 months prior. On top of that they billed blue cross around 140. Every other dentist I have seen double checked on my blue cross and did not just do things like a 10 second dental examination and bill me 65 dollars which has to come out of my pocket. Will go back to my old dentist even though they are further away as they would look into my blue cross first and never charge me for that 10 second check.

The service and staff are excellent here, and I have been a patient since 2004. I would like to take a moment and recognize Danait, who is the best hygienist I have had; all have been good but Danait was exceptional!

On Saturday I visited the clinic. My experience was really bad. I came there and even brought my family to this clinic, with expectations to be treated with respect and responsibility. I trusted them with their professionalism and care. . We agreed that this year we will do whatever is covered by insurance plan, and the rest (if there will be anything left) we will do later. Every time before the appointment I asked to check what portion will be covered by the insurance and what portion I need to pay. so I could decide if I can afford it, and then proceed. At the reception they told me that they can check with my insurance coverage in a real time .Today I was surprised that I was charged extra $500. Why? They said that it was an emergency. I was a dentist back home, so I know whether it was emergency or not. My daughter didn t have any emergency. It was up to me to decide if I want to proceed with her fillings that were over my coverage.They just decided that it would be more convenient for them to complete the fillings because they already did anaesthesia. I trusted them and was sure that everything is going well. Until they charged me with extra 500$ . That was wrong and inappropriate. It wasn t my fault although the receptionists today were trying to convince me otherwise. Seems like clinic doesn`t care to keep their patients .We don t want to be with the clinic anymore. It was a pill hard to swallow . But thank you , I will be more careful choosing a clinic to deal with from now on.

Natalie cleaned my teeth she is very warming and welcoming. She keeps you busy with great conversations and before you know it she is done,very efficient. I also had a quick check up from DR Newbert he is very professional and polite. He explains things in an easy way so I could understand and provided me with options and solutions to my situation.

Had a wonderful experience at this dental office as a first time patient. The front receptionist Stephanie was very nice and I was properly screened for any COVID symptoms. Hailey was my hygienist and normally I get really scared going to the dentist as I have very sensitive teeth. She listened and always asked if my teeth were hurting or if she was hurting me while she was cleaning. Would recommend!

Crescent Heights Dental Clinic is a wonderful office. Staff is very friendly. Always quick to get you in for an emergency visit. I have seen a couple of the dentists they are all knowledgeable and helpful. I love the they do same day Cerec crowns, so convenient for peoples busy lifestyles.

I ve been to the clinic for the last four years. Nicole is an excellent dental hygienist. Knowledgeable, gentle and gets the job done well and painlessly. The dentists always take time to address your concerns and problems. Today I had a filling done. Dr Charles was extremely professional. He always told me what he was doing and what to expect every step of the way, so I would feel comfortable. And the job was done perfectly. I had fillings done before somewhere else and the bite felt off afterwards. I didn t feel a thing after the filling today. Even though I moved away from this area, I still come back here for my dental needs. Thank you guys for doing a great job!

My daughter and I have been patients here for over a decade. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. Our hygienist, Nicole, is fabulous and is always up to date with the latest information. We have always had great service here and feel that everyone has always been genuinely focused on our health. The entire staff is amazing! They communicate everything, from the reception ensuring what is done is covered by your insurance, to the hygienists and dentists making sure you're comfortable as they proceed. I chose them because I lived near by but I wouldn't go anywhere else now!!

Neerishma was wonderful! I appreciate that she explained to me how my daughter's first visit will go. (My daughter is one year old). Neerishma asked about my wife and my daughter, which always makes me feel cared for.) I also appreciate that she took notes previously and remembered that I need the rinse. I also appreciate that she took the time to allow me to remove the water from my mouth to not gag. Thank you very much Neerishma. She is really doing a wonderful job. I always recommend others families to please go and deal with her.She know her hygienist duties in very excellent way.

I've been here a total of three times. The first time i had a full inspection and cleaning. Everything seemed fine although much more expensive than any other dentist i'd been to. Second time I got some fillings, work seemed good. Third time, I had a terrible hygienist who rushed through my cleaning, jabbing my gums multiple times and seemingly doing careless work. It was all done in half an hour. I paid my bill which was again rather expensive and drove home. I looked at my bill at home and realized i'd been charged for a full hour of cleaning, despite spending only half that time in the office, including x-rays and dentist assessment. I called the clinic and was told that i HAD been there for an hour, even though it was only 45 min after the start of my appointment, and i had already driven home! I was then told multiple stories regarding how they do their billing, with none of them making sense or matching reality. They told me all the charges they COULD have hit me with but didn't and that i should be happy with how little they charged. Infuriating. They eventually offered to refund 15 min of cleaning, which would still leave me paying for an impossible 45 min of cleaning time. After explaining that my receipt had a time stamp that had me leaving way before it was possible to accrue these charges they finally put me in touch with someone in charge of the office. She was much better than the others I talked to and actually understood how my bill was impossible. They decided of issue me a refund, but it has been over three weeks since my appointment, and I still haven't received it.

I requested to see the receipts of my previous visit, and saw that they had charged me for the same amount of cleaning. It is possible that I actually received it, but given my experience with them it is hard to believe.

Find another dentist.

Today was my first visit here to see Dr Newbert..I cant say enough about his professional manner and his true concern for his patients comfort and well-being. He and his lovely assistant made my whole experience pleasant and eased my anxiety from the very beginning. When the work was finished i was talking to Kristin at the front desk who clarified things that always made me fear going for dental treatment. She also was very genuine and wanted to help me make a plan to return without the overwhelming financial fears that I've always had.

I have been coming to Crescent Heights Dental for over 10 years and I always have a great appointment. My latest appointment was with Ashley and I couldn't have been happier. She genuinely listened to my concern regarding sensitivity and took extra steps to ensure I was comfortable. I will certainly be booking with her again!

I've had positive experiences with Dr. Newbert in the past with removing my wisdom teeth, filling cavaties, etc. He does a good job explaining situations and treatments. Also, the receptionists, Jana and Stephanie, are very kind and friendly. I would highly recommend visiting this clinic.

Been going here for about two or three years, always found it good. If i were to make a joke i'd say this place is not like pulling teeth! Also did veneers that i'm quite happy with.

We had recently moved to Calgary and I had an unexpected dental semi-emergency. I walked into Crescent Heights Dental one morning, and they scheduled me in that day. It is a very professional and efficient office, which I would recommend to anyone.

I have been going to Crescent Heights dental clinic for 10 years. I ve moved away from the area but wouldn t even think of going anywhere else.
I absolutely love Dr. Matthew Karavos! He s the best dentist ever! He takes the time to explain the procedure and what the best options are. He truly does care about his patients.
Paula, the office manager is amazing and keeps everything running smoothly and efficiently. The front end staff are always smiling and super friendly.

The service from the dentist and hygienist are good however their receptionists are incompetent. If you continue to go to this dentist, I recommend you timestamp every interaction for the services they do for you as they will over bill for service that they did no perform. They bill you from the time you sit in the lobby apparently. My appointment was at 2pm for cleaning but did not see the hygienist until 2:10pm. She cleaned my teeth for less than half hour and billed my insurance 3 units (45 minutes) when in reality it was less than 30 minutes. Within the 30 minutes, she walked away to speak with the dentist to fit me in for refilling a cavity that was not booked into appointment when I specifically asked the receptionist to do. Anyway i had no issues with the service itself but seeing how this office will scam your insurance I would not recommend this place. I have already reported to my insurance provider but in the end it's more so he said she said but at least my insurance will be on the alert. By the way, the receptionists there are complete fake, don't trust them. They are really good at being nice and snarky.

CH Dental has been my dental clinic for the past 12 years, and Aileen has been my fantastic hygienist for at least 6 of those years! She has always done a great job on my teeth, and I appreciate the professional care with which she handles every aspect of her job!

I recently broke a tooth 2 days before leaving for a Mexico Vacation for 3 weeks. Crescent Heights Dental immediately booked me in and were able to create/install a temporary crown that would perform as required until I returned from vacation. Once returned, they expertly did the full repair required without issue or unnecessary costs. I'm so happy with my new crown and the super service received under a very tight timeline heading into my vacation.

On a previous visit i had a locum hygienist that has been quite rough and made my dental cleaning quite uncomfortable, with her conversation topics and the way she handled her instruments.
But after asking reception to make sure i am put with only the regular staff, that seemed to do the trick.
Parking can be a problem if the office is busy, but making early and late appointments can fix that issue.
I do wish they would get those little lip balms back, i quite like them!

Love this place. Never late to see you, which is huge for a dental office.

Always consistent with their reminder calls, which is helpful for a mom of young kids.

The most importantly, never pressure you into x-rays or polish or fluoride if you don't want it. Every single other clinic I have been to pretty much forces these optional procedures on me. When I say no at Crescent Heights, their response is "no problem" and that is the end of that. As an adult very capable of making my own decisions, it is nice to have that respected. Very professional staff.

I had major work done with Dr. Newbert and his team, they were all very patient and made sure that I was taken care of. Everything went smoothly and as painless as possible, I have gone to many other dental clinics and have not received quite the same amount of patient service that I have gotten at Crescent Heights Dental. Everyone is accommodating and friendly! I am no longer terrified of going to the dentist! I recommend everyone to go!

Dr. Newbert and the dental hygienist Neerishma were incredibly kind, compassionate and worked together very well. The plan for the appointment was reviewed with me at the beginning and the staff were transparent about my insurance coverage. Both Neerishma and Dr. Newbert made sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment and explained their actions to me, which was informative and comforting. I was referred by another dentist to meet up with Dr Michael Newbert, who was sure Dr Newbert was the right choice for my implant problem.
I met with Dr Newbert and his assistant Neerishma and was very impressed with their professionalism and down to earth approach in explaining a solution for my problem. I was thoroughly blown away how much patience they had and the time they took to provide a solution to my unusual problem in detail.
They are a good team and treat with a smile on their face with every solution

Love this clinic. Staff are always great and accommodating and the clinic has great hours so we can come by after work or on weekends. I am in the process of getting implants and Dr. Newbert, and all the staff assisting, Kinga, Neerisma, Christina have been so patient and professional in their approach. Couldn't ask for a better group!
