Love this place! A few years ago I think it did go...

Love this place! A few years ago I think it did go a bit down hill,staffing issues and looked a bit dull BUT iv always supported independent shops.
They always stock something quirky and my last hamster I bought from them lived 5 years!
Its a really good shop and they do there best to cater for all creatures
If you have a dog they have LOADS of stuff for them!!!

My beagle knows what she likes & makes it very clear when she doesn't want to go back to a new grooming salon. After 2 bad experiences in the Wimbledon area we tried Creature Company. She loves it there & happily disappears off for her salon experience. All the staff are lovely & make a fuss of their canine clients.

Highly recommend this place for being genuinely pet friendly!

The people service is professional yet with a perfect friendly touch. Lovely clean well laid out shop and great groomers. Very pleased with how they handle my 9 year old westie Bounce, who can sometimes be a handful to groom. Well done gals and guys!

Went to the shop the orher week and was greeted by a lovely gentleman, they had all the stuff that i needed for my bunny and have now found a new treat that my bunny cant resist so i will have to go back again for more of those treats.

Phoned on a Friday afternoon to check if they sold 'dog Beer'. They didn't seem to be trained in what products they had or rather didn't have. The lady on the phone really couldn't be bothered to help and didn't seem to care. It was so difficult just to get a simple piece of information. Not impressed.

The staff here have gone above and beyond in order to assist me on a number of occasions and with various requests. I have always been served by courteous and well informed staff who have always made my visit enjoyable. A great store with caring staff, I highly recommend. Have just left my puppy with them for her first groom and I trust them implicitly.

I came to visit with my boyfriend as we were thinking of buying a rabbit. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about rabbit care (both of them own more than one rabbit); and went into detail about what kind of long-term costs and treatments would be involved. They let me hold one and I fell in love with her so we came back the next week for her! Thank you!

Can't fault the full groom at Creature Company. We've used 3/4 times now! Friendly staff. We have a Cavalier called Mojito and looks absolutely beautiful & smells great after groom. Would definitely recommend. Thank you

My family went in the other day and were met with a stony faced manager (?) who was happy to denigrate other pet shop competition and generally be negative about everything in terms of the questions being asked. My son was after a fish and the manager said the tank was not big enough. So why not offer another fish then?! The whole experience was negative - it was if we are intruding on his privacy by going in there. We miss Sebastien the French guy - he was great, helpful and everything customer service should be. The shop was updated and refurbed a few years ago partly through BBC funding - now they need to up their game on the customer front.

Thank you for your response - may I say 90 per cent of your content is a total whitewash as it ignores the main grievance and concentrates on a very small part of the conversation that was never the issue or never in debate.

Firstly, I do not appreciate the inference that somehow we as customers would be negligent enough to use an unsuitable/unfiltered tank for a fish. The issue was NEVER about our resistance to your advice on the fish/ suitability and filtering of tank, nor your care standards or expertise.

Please do not rewrite history about the incident. I think you know in your heart of hearts about how you handled us as customers but of course you need to use this tool as a PR exercise..

The issue was the customer experience at Creature Company. Unfortunately, the customer will always walk away dissatisfied when he or she is on the end of a sullen attitude and a person who feels the need to denigrate the competition in such a sweeping manner.

May I ask whether you think it is a professional stand to castigate your rivals to a customer? If so, I would be very very worried about YOUR business ethics.

It is more likely to make us purchase elsewhere.

The (excellent) competition have, crucially, shown a fantastic attitude as well as total credibility and compassion with the same quality of advice. You cannot fake that. This was at total odds with your description of the rival organisation as purely commercial with no second thought for animal welfare.

My son had called you several days before to enquire and was rather perturbed by a perceived hostility that he felt deeply on the telephone at the time. Subsequently, he said he was too scared to make further calls; children pick up on things.

I do like the idea of a high street shop without the apparent "big game" culture of other stores, but what has to change is the definite negative and disinterested attitude.

Perhaps you can learn from this and shift your focus on softening the spiky approach to customers and other companies who happen to take custom from you but are no less caring or professional.

So that there is no further misunderstanding, may I confirm that "the chain" we saw is not the commercial monster you tried to make out AND has the most excellent ethical standards with a consistently friendly and helpful approach to boot.

PS: in respect to 'not coming to an agreement', I'd like to clarify that all your energies were so passionately negative, you forgot to push a positive alternative sale which you now belatedly offer.

Few days ago, i went this place for grooming. The lady told me to pick my dog by 1:30pm and she called me by 12:50pm and i was quite far away for grocery already and when i went back she asked me to pay extra 5 pound for picking up late. This is fine. There can be a mistake. But i do not, i really do not satisfy the result of grooming. Some part of my dog left lond some really short. And i just have found out that she shaved it way too short and there is scar behind the ear and i could see that it has been bleeding for a while. People make mistake. But being honest is totally different. If it is this big, she should have known for sure. Oh yes for sure, because i even groom her at home too. When you do a business, i pay for your service. And what you are selling is not just a product. You are actually dealing with a live creature animal, family of ours just like your name. Plus, i rather do it at home if its this bad. I do not recomend this place. No.

My girlfriend bought me a hamster I had recently seen from here as a gift. When see went to buy the hamster she noticed its eye was sore and shut. The member of staff on duty said that no one had bought her because of it, and that the staff had been spraying her eye with antiseptic spray. On the way home my gf noticed what she thought at first we're fleas all over the hamster, which on later inspection we realised were mites. Next day took her to the vets to have her check out, needless to say the vets were not impressed with her neglect and even said we should send the vet bills to the store for them to pay. She was infested with mites and has sores all over her body, and has a bad cause of conjunctivitis, both which we are treating her for. Vet also said the antiseptic they were spraying on her eye could have caused more damage but we won't know until it's healed. At least she's being looked after now.

I went to Creature Company a couple of months ago to get my son's first goldfish and I couldn't have wished for a better petshop :)
The team there was so helpful in helping me understand how to set up our first fish tank and how to look after the fish. They had a large choice of fish, tanks and accessories and from talking to them, it's clear that they are all animal lovers.
They made sure we set up the fish tank before we purchased the fish and would not sell us fish until we had waited long enough and the water was right.
It's been a great experience dealing with people who love and know their job. They were super friendly with my son and really helped him understand that a fish is a living thing and that it needs care.
I will be coming back there for anything else I need and I will make sure all my friends do too.

REVIEWING THE APPLICATION PROCESS WHEN APPLYING FOR WORK
Submitted an application, got an email straight away asking to call. The person sounded really friendly and it seemed to be going well, I thought I would get an interview at least. Was told that she will talk it over with another colleague and would be emailed. Was emailed a generic message (we had a large number of applicants for this position...) the second half stated that I couldn't work Mondays and ideally the needed someone Fri-Mon. Funny as this information was not in the job advert and this was not mentioned on the phone, in fact it sounded as if it was flexible shift based work. I said I have a session on Monday morning and that I can still work that day just after. I was quite upset and reiterated that in fact I can work Monday, to which I was told they would let me know of any changes. I personally find this quite unprofessional, as I said this information was withheld and I was not even asked...we need someone on Monday will that be an issue? Very disappointing!

Carl and all the team are friendly, patient and knowledgeable. They took time to give us all the confidence and information we needed. The shop itself is lovely, clean and welcoming and the animals are very well cared for. It was a joy to go there and we are so happy now to have a lovely rabbit in our lives.

This was our first visit to this shop. I wasn't very impressed I must say. Online it states; rodents, small mammals AND reptiles. Reptiles wasn't present at all. The livestock has no labelling or price tags. Which is ridiculous really, as they are all hiding so it doesn't make viewing or purchasing any easier, as you have to keep asking staff what's in the tanks. Which leads on to my next point, the staff! They didn't seem bothered of our custom at all, we asked a couple of questions and they didn't seem very interactive. When asking about the type of dwarf hamster you had on sale we were told they were winter White Russian Campbell dwarf. On questioning the young guy, he said that Russian campbell dwarf and Russian winter whites are the exact same, just different names. This is not correct at all, there are a few differences between them. The easiest way of telling this is the shape of their face and markings not to mention personality. After this discussion I chose to leave without making a purchase as he was rude and uninterested.

I took my dog Sammy for a full groom.After trying several groomers in the area I popped into the shop.I met Brooke and knew she would take care of Sammy.She listened to what I wanted. Sammy being an old boy [14] and set in his ways can be difficult,so I was worried about him.,but Brooke spent time with him and he obviously loved it.He came home looking and smelling gorgeous with his tail wagging.I made the right choice and will use again.I will be recommending to family and friends ..Thank you Brooke for an excellent experience for both me and Sammy.

Also glad they served a variety of lilys kitchen which my lil lady loves! Also surprised that they had fish, bunny's and small fluffy.

When asked politely to display (police approved) posters in relation to recent cat and fox murders in the area, the staff refused and wouldn't even listen to or read the information. Very rude.
Awareness is so important to catch this vile human. This reaction is only one of a business who are not in it for love of animals. Will never shop here again

The most arrogant and rude customer service experience I have ever had. The boy selling was so rude and abrupt refusing to sell to my 3 years old daughter a small goldfish even after I said to him I will keep the fish with some friends until I get my tank sorted. My daughter left the shop in tears. His attitude was appalling. I admit it was my first time to buy a fish and never done some background research but I could've been explained what's what not just " I don't want to sell you" said with a very poor manner and disregarding the fact I was a customer who wanted to spend his money. Gutted.....there's better ways to refuse a sale than " no I don't want to sell it to you" especially to a 3 years old girl...

I've never used their grooming services, but I've often visited here to buy food, treats, accessories, and toys. All the products are a high quality and they stock the food we buy our cars. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and we've often had lovely conversations.

This is by far the best hair cut my dog has ever had. I've been to a few dog groomers around the area and this one was by far the best groomers I've visited so far. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and did everything I asked and more. Me and Banksy will be coming back to this shop regularly from now on. The new groomer is amazing.

The staff never make eye contact with you, never greet you and never offer help, even when the shop is empty (which is most of the time). There's not too much variety regarding brands and some products are about to expire. If the aim is to be a boutique pet store with nice environment and good customer service, this place unfortunately is a complete fail.

We brought our dog here for grooming. The price was 20% more than we normally pay. In addition, we were charged even more because my 14-year old daughter was 30 minutes late (due to missing the scheduled train) to pick up the dog. I have never heard of a charge for a delayed pick up. Grooming standard was ok but we will not go back.
