I am going to come back and cancel my extended warranty. You re service department would not return my calls. Your family dealership here in Austin for GM service would not honor GM warranty or the full $0 deductible warranty. I m light sensitive and my tint shop noticed a scratch in drivers door window. Your dealer in Austin tried to blame it on them. This tint place I have used since 1991. Have no issues with sales department.

Thanks to Covert and my salesman Rafa Lopez; I am blessed to own a new Chevy Equinox. I was a little hesitant at first but everything was explained well and my car buying needs were met. Everyone down to the service men were great....esp. Mr. Moore. Also, the finance Manager was great( Mr. Jonathan Abbott); young man shift's was about to be completed for the day, but he went far and beyond and stayed a little late to make sure everything was okay. This is was I call great customer service.

Alex, our salesman, contacted us a day or two later and had found us the perfect truck, in our price range. We are really enjoying our 2020 Chevy Colorado! I asked for onboard navigation and was told it was included. Come to find out it was not installed and Covert wanted $495 after the loan was processed to have it installed. The salesman had very limited knowledge of the product he was selling. Also malfunction light has repeatedly come on, but can't be diagnosed by Onstar unless it stays on. According to Santana, a manager, I am stuck with this truck and have no options. This is my second vehicle purchase from Covert Bastrop in less than four years time and will be my last. I feel, as in most dealerships, that the salesman wanted me in this vehicle and to get it and me off the lot quickly. The finance manager Tim Clark and service department coordinator Kara Poole were the only shining stars of my experience. I want to rid myself of this 2020 GMC Sierra as soon as possible and I have only had it 5 days.
Went in for a transmission change and they called my about an oil change (which I just had changed recently). I had an appointment but since I did not buy my vehicle from them I was placed at the end of the line. Needless to say I was still waiting on my truck even after the service department was closed. A terrible experience and the service department really could care less if they have your business or not. The only reason they still are in business is that they are the only Chevorlete service close by

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE!!! my fiance dropped his truck off on Wednesday of last week and it is now Tuesday the following week and they have yet to look at his vehicle. He also called to check in with the service department yesterday (Monday) and they told him the person working on his vehicle was out and someone will have to call him back later with an update. Well, he never got that call nor an update. I am furious with their turnover time and find it completely disrespectful. We are not made of money and they expected him to rent a vehicle on his own (which would cost around $50 a day). This is not okay and needs to be addressed by a Supervisor! TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS, we deserve the same decency and respect in return. Not to mention, we deserve our vehicles back in a timely manner. Meaning if one employee is out, you make it a priority to split up that employees work so other vehicles aren't just sitting there waiting. Especially, when we are in need of our vehicle!! Make it a priority to take care of your consumers!!! We do not support your business just to be taken advantage of. I may be just a woman but this is absurd and not the first time this has happened. If I don't speak up, then who will and how will these issues get resolved. I pray we receive better service in the future because this is sad, completely sad. We will be taking our vehicle elsewhere, next time, that's for sure.
Horrible communication. Missed 3 separate opportunities to buy a used truck. I tried different sales people and even the sales manager, but no one seemed interested in selling me anything. I already had my financing secured so why wouldn't they want to sell me something? The last sales rep was talking down to me like I was wasting her time when all I wanted was a little more info about the vehicle. Needless to say it drove me to one of their competitors where I had a phenomenal experience. I make sure to tell everyone who asks about my new truck how bad of a experience it was dealing with Covert.
My husband and I were in need of a used car under 10k because we wanted to keep our payments low. I was afraid we would not be taken seriously because we were not looking to buy a new vehicle or spend a lot of money. Rafa met with us, listened to what we wanted, and got us into a vehicle that we both love. He made sure he met all the criteria we wanted and never pressured us to get into a higher payment. I just wanted to let everyone know of the bait and switch tactics that Covert in Bastrop is using to lure in customers. I received a letter from Chance Covert, general manager, telling me about how he wanted my 2010 Buick Enclave, because the market was very good on these used vehicles and that he wanted to personally let me know that the current combined offers are too good to pass up . Yes, he knew what vehicle I had because I service my Buick at Covert s. He wanted the opportunity to discuss trading me out my current Enclave for a new Chevrolet (hitch .it said Chevrolet not Buick!!!!!!!!). He said, Bring in this letter and we will lower your monthly payment! He said, It may sound too good to be true, but it is not! Then he went on to say that because these are such crazy market conditions they could only commit to the offer for one week. Makes since I guess because it is such a GREAT deal!!! Ya right. I called them up, and they could not lower my payments (or even match my current payment like they said they could, which is all I asked for) on a new car of the same model that I currently have . Had to be a Chevy Silverado truck!!! Oh, I see the fine print. Well, I guess the covert family dealership is just like the rest of them. Promise you the world and deliver on nothing. When I bought my current car, I went looking for a used Buick Enclave (great cars by the way) and once again Covert could not match the used car price for the exact car that I drove to Houston to pick up. Yes, if you want a great deal, talk to Gay Buick GMC in Dickinson. I bought my wife s Buick Enclave 2010 fully loaded CXL-2 with 18k miles, power sunroof with 2nd row skylight, white diamond tricoat, bose sound system, and with upgraded 20 chrome-clad aluminum wheels for $25000 drive out, no TTL BS, bottom line. Yes my payment is less than $490/month for 60 months. Great deal .. You ll never get a deal like this from Covert. Covert had a chance to win my business last year when I bought the Buick from Gay, but they would not match the price. Now they tell me they can lower my payment (with the letter from Chance Covert) and once again, they cannot match my current payment (guess my current deal was still too good for them to handle). As far as I m concerned, if you think the Covert s are all that, then you have not really looked around very hard. I have bought 7 new or used cars in the last 13 years, and only one has come from Covert they just cannot compete.

Brought my wife's 2007 navigator in for 2 front shocks/struts right front was leaking. Was told would have to leave it so the mechanic could check it out, was told the same thing I told them need 2 front shocks/struts. When they told me the price I was floored $ 960.00 wow guess they saw me coming. Price for each shock 120.08 each for the front and what got me was told needed 6 nuts at 45.95 each again wow. Also 2 bolts at 35.74 each you talk about price gouging and I guess the labor was the rest. I told them I would have to take it some where else, I was not going to pay that much for 2 shocks/struts I was given a bill for 62.50 for letting me know what I told them that I needed 2 front shocks. The lady that helped me would not talk to me when I came to pick up my vehicle, very rude she new I was there, people in that position should know something about their job when dealing with the public. I retired from the military in 1987 and from the state in 2015 l have never seen prices like this in my life shocks were fine, what a joke, I give 2 stars cause I have purchased 4 vehicles from you over the past years, not again..oh did I say I services vehicles for over 10 years as a part time job......vehicle was brought to covert on 07/17/2017

Sometimes I have a good experience but, here lately they are less able to address certain issues due to changes in GM warranty. It seems that bumper to bumper no longer means the same as it has in years past. Example: In years past, if I purchased a new GMC Denali and had say, a vibration with only 100 miles in the truck. Any dealership I had to take it to would fix the problem on the spot. No questions asked. Today it appears that I now have to take the truck to the dealer where I purchased the truck or wait until I put 500 miler on it before another dealer will look at it.
Bought a 2015 Denali from covert been having trouble since the week I bought it from them told the sales lady I bought it from and she just blew me off I will never buy from them again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone stay away from this dealership
Had a great experience working with Michael Taggart at Covert Bastrop. Him and his sales manager did a great job at making sure I was satisfied with my vehicle purchase. Not only was the vehicle a great deal, when I found an issue they went ahead and made arrangements to get the damages fix before purchase at no cost to me. I really appreciate their customer service and will shop here again for my next Chevy truck.
Buying a car can be a huge pain. Between the back and forth with salespersons, dealing with finance and getting a good deal on your trade in, you can usually expect to be somewhat frustrated or put off. Not the case at Covert Bastrop. I had the most refreshing car buying experience with them and couldn't be happier with the service thus far. I worked with Devin Adams and felt like we talked more about golf than the nitty gritty details of the deal. He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and to the point. He didn't pressure me when I told him I needed to sleep on it and made me feel like I was working with an old buddy. I also took the truck in for window tint recently and the service department was equally as great. They found someone to help me immediately, the place was clean and customer friendly, and the work was done in the time they quoted. Great job all around!
They have reasonable prices and the paper works are hassle free. I liked their attitude and the way they tried to show me the best available on the floor. I highly recommend the place for Old as well as New Car.
Bought a used car from them, asked them to fix the air conditioner in said car. Added repair fees to purchase price as we agreed. "Repairs" didn't last but about 6 months before it was acting up again in the same manner. Took the car back to them twice to honor their work. Finally threw up their hands and told me if it did it again to take it to Nissan. A/C still doesn't work, wondering what I paid the extra money for. UPDATE... After my first post about this they called me. Said they wanted to "make it right". They agreed to look at it again but had to call me back after they looked to see what loaner would be available, that was over 3 weeks ago. Still waiting...
Great experience with this dealership. The sales process was smooth and I felt they were very transparent in all aspects of the transaction. I also visited the Ford dealership, which is also Covert and is next to this dealership and had a pleasant experience.
We recently needed an up grade in towing capacity and on the Covert website located a good used truck; they had several to choose from. Rhett met me in the lobby, threw me the keys, told me to check it out, and gave me a fair price on the trade. Ben handled the financing and I was in and out in 2 hours with the nicest truck I have ever owned for a very good price. I highly recommend Rhett and the Covert family.
The AC is still not working properly. At idle the AC slows down tremendously even when on the high setting. The dealership was unable to duplicate the issue although very evident after driving for a short time. My concern is this will continue or get worse and I will be out of warranty as I drive alot. With winter coming up and not using the AC I won't be able to determine if the issue is the same or worse and possibly be out of warranty.

Seriously I have nothing but good things to say about Covert Chevy in Bastrop and Rafa Lopez. Rafa Lopez - Is one of the best guys (even though he's a car salesman) When my Dad needed to replace his truck in an unplanned last minute deal Rafa came through - even though my Dad was in Dallas - He got us good competitive pricing. He even answered his phone on his day off. Then he got the new Truck delivered to Dallas at no extra change. Timing could have been better because the county had just resurfaced the road out front of my Dad place - So he had this new truck sitting in the driveway that he could not drive. Who wants to get fresh tar all over their literally brand new truck (even thought its a truck). Rafa did not play any of the gimmicks - that the Dallas Dealerships were playing either- He gave us a competitive price and let us "hold and walk out" (he emailed it to us) with his offer.
Rafa also come through for me personally as well. My in-laws live in Bastrop. They were taking care of our four legged kids when my family took a weekend trip to Port Arkansas. On the way down my 2002 Chevy - as acting funny - but got us there and the problem seemed to go away - on the way back it completely stopped - on the side of the road not quite back to Bastrop in a rural (Farm) area and "back road". Rafa - was a superhero. He started working on getting a tow truck out to me; which I did not actually use - I was able to nurse it at 10 mph into Bastrop and to Covert. Good thing that "back road" is the cross street Covert is on. We got my truck in for service at near closing AND Rafa got me a loaner to drive while it was in the shop. It was not just any beater of a loaner - it was a new model Silverado very nice. It did take awhile for my truck to get "fixed" but I truly believe that was the Fault of GM not having the part - not that of Coverts; With my approval we finally put an aftermarket part on and it was back up and running. What did I care I had this nice new Silverado to run around town with - To be honest, I was paranoid the whole time I had it - 1) had to go back to Dallas more issues with my Dad which meant a lot more miles then just running around town Covert did not blink when I told them and 2) I was afraid someone has going to hit, ding, or scratch this new truck - that covert was at some point going to sell.
I will not say will be lifelong customer of Covert and Rafa Lopez - but they would have to really, really screw up to lose my business - whether it is service or purchasing a new car.
Back in 2004 my dad bought a Chevrolet 2500 from y'all. In 2010 my folks again came to y'all to buy my mom a Chevrolet Tahoe. So when I came into the market for a new pick up I checked with y'all. I called and spoke with Chris Crawford. After explaining to him what I was looking for, he said he did not have one but give him a chance to find one. After about 20 minutes, Chris called me back and said he found exactly what I wanted. He let me test drive a similar pick up, I told him I was very interested. I told Chris that I wanted to talk to my bank. I was unable to secure financing from my bank. I talked to Chris and told him I would like to see if you all were able to get me financed. He suggested I fill out an online application. About 15 minutes later Jonathan Abbott called and said he had my application but the computer system was down and just as soon as it was back he would try to work out a deal. About 30 minutes later Jonathan called and was able to get me financed with a great interest rate keeping my payment very manageable. I told him lets do the deal. They went to get my pick up and three days later I picked up my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD. Jonathan was having to take a class that day and said he would overnight the paperwork to me. I told him I could come in the next day to sign them and he said that was fine. The next day I signed the paperwork and two days later brought my down payment by. I can't say enough about the quality of service from everyone I encountered at your dealership. Chris is the best car salesman I have ever worked with. Jonathan bent over backwards to provide an exceptional service. This is a wonderful dealership with great people. Anyone I know that is looking for a new vehicle, I am going to recommend with great authority that they check with any of the several Covert dealerships. Y'all do a great job and I can see why, doing business the way y'all do, y'all have been in business over a hundred years. This was an exceptional buying experience and I enjoyed it so much, I am almost sad it is over!

So I was in the market for a Chevy Equinox and visited Autonation in Austin. Despite assurances to locate a vehicle and get back to me, crickets. Went to another dealership and again same response. Called Covert in Bastrop and in one day had four conversations with different people. Alex Murchison went the extra length to send me a video of my potential vehicle. I texted him on Sat when they are closed and asked if still available to place on hold for me. He responded within 5 mins to say he would hold it. En route to the dealership on Sun, a manager called to make sure I was still coming. Needless to say I bought the vehicle. Chance Covert and Robby Turner are TOP NOTCH. I put in a request for a Camaro SS to all of the Austin dealers and nobody gave me an answer on price. I purchased a 2016 Camaro 2SS Convertible this past weekend and could not be happier! First, Covert was open on Sunday was great as most dealerships are not. Second, the salesmen Chris Crawford did not play games and shot me a fair price with no pressure. Third, they gave me a very fair offer for my trade and had me in and out in less than an hour! Due to all the rain, I brought my truck in for service at Covert Chevrolet in Bastrop. My windshield had a small leak on the right hand side and I needed it fixed yesterday. I showed up without an appointment and they took me right in. I was told by Autonations it would be $300 to fix. They took it to the back and within the hour gave it back to me. I asked how much it was and they said that it was a GM recall on my truck that it was free. Truly honest and saved me $300. This is my service center now.
All of the staff is friendly and takes the time to address any issues that I have. Danny Nichols has been my service adviser for years and has always been top notch. He has always made sure I m taken care and all the issues with any vehicle I have are addressed.

I purchased my 2015 Impala because of the service department/team, being so loyal and prompt when I needed it with my previous vehicle, a Malibu. But my recent experiences with the service department has been unprofessional and awful. I attempted to go in to have a regular service on my vehicle, more than a few times (with less than 10,000 mi) and it became a hassle/haggle for how payment would be applied. I explained my understanding of my warranty and the promise that I would be taken care of by the service team, from sales. I am extremely disappointed that I purchased a vehicle, specifically a Chevrolet, all due to my trust and loyalty to my local dealership and their dedication to my experience, for over 10yrs. But now I am not considering making another purchase, nor referring a member or friend. All due to the service departments ridiculous change in character. I no longer trust I am in good hands with my new vehicle.

Alot if car Dealerships tell you that they will treat you like family. Edgar at covert really treated us like we were part of the covert family . This is the third Vehicle that me and my wife have Purchased at this dealership and it won't be the last. This dealership knows how to take care of its Customers . Sales team is ok. But where this dealer really lacks at is the service dept. I don't know what the actual problem is but I've brought my truck in multiple time for a transmission issue and other problems but problem never goes away. I've only had this truck since March. Just got my truck back yesterday and the only thing they bothered to look at was the misfire issue. They fixed that but didn't give a damn about the transmission issue or lighting issue. Pretty sure they are doing this for a reason. Avoid this dealer!

Are you Kidding me!!! I have never had a more horrific experience from your service department!!! I got a normal routine Oil Change and Tire Rotation on my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 and everything was going ok... then I parked my truck for the night (Tuesday 12/12/17) since it is my truck I use for Work only, I didn t use it again until Friday 12-15-17 when I noticed a bump bump bump noice coming from my tires... when I got home that evening I checked my tires and to my surprise I am MISSING 6 LUG NUTS!!!!! Not one, not two, S I X lug nuts!!! Your service department could have KILLED my family! I brought in a LEGAL TRUCK and you gave me an ILLEGAL vehicle in return, and charged me $300 dollars for it too???!!!??? Who do you think you are!!! I have pictures and I am going EVERYWHERE, Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google, and GM Corporate office, the Better Bussiness Bureu, and JD Power and Associates!!

Terrible service!!! Do not go here, I repeat do not waste your time. I drove in from Corpus Christi over the weekend to get a truck here, only to sit in a cubicle for 2 hours and not get a vehicle. I had the vehicle already picked out and the sales guy kept telling me, "I'll get then number where you want it" only to find out they ran my credit and had no intention of bringing down the price. Well come to find out 3 other people wanted that exact truck and it was the beginning of the month and they didn't need to negotiate. As I walked out and the sales guy had already moved on to his next fish, he said oh okay...that was it! Terrible service, very sales driven, and they shuffle you around once they are done with you. So disappointed.
Easiest and friendliest truck buying experience I've ever had. Called and spoke with our salesman and the General Sales Manager before we came in letting them know what we were looking for, and it was parked out front ready to drive as soon as we pulled in. No haggling back and forth for hours trying to get the best deal, just straight forward no nonsense salesmanship. I highly recommend Covert Bastrop to anyone in the market for a new car/truck! I will never take my Car back for Service at Covert in Bastrop! Took my New 2014 Chevy SS into Covert 0n 12/17/2014 for Road noise due to tires and waited for 3 1/2 hours for them just to look at my car. I was informed that the tires were Cupping and worn on both inside and outside of front tires. I was notified I needed new tires (after only 15,000 miles on new car). Paid over $800.00 for new tires just to order them not installed! Also told was wear due to Alignment. Contacted GM about Alignment issue to see about getting some of my money back or at least the alignment done free as it was a recall or as GM calls it now a Service bulletin. Covert informed GM that I had requested the Alignment and that the repair was all due to the lack of tire rotation (so lied to GM and to me). They did the Alignment and the steering wheel is still off center and I am still out over $1000.00, they will never touch my car again!
I bought a car here 4 months ago the service was wonderful. My battery went dead yesterday and even though it wasn't covered on the warranty they gave us a new one anyway. Thanks Rocky!
I ve bought from Covert before and it was a good experience both times. Eddie Gibler is a great salesman and listened to what we wanted and didn t try to push us into anything we didn t want.
Honestly had an awesome experience with these guys. I have been truck hunting for over a month, talking with many dealerships and nothing would work out in the end for the price and the models that would fit my needed. Covert were able to work with me and really did go the extra mile to help me! Do yourself a favor and talk to Rhett, you be happy you did man!
The VERY best vehicle buying experience that I ever had and I am 70 years old. Everyone I spoke with were fantastic . Jay Winetroub my salesman was wonderful. Very helpful and answered all my questions.
