When i asked the salesman about it, he said they would not help me out with the repair. I didnt think that was right. I had the truck for about an hour and something went wrong and oh, well. As-is. I submitted an offer online and was contacted via email within an hour or so. I replied to the email and then went ahead and called the sales rep referenced in the reply email. Price agreed upon was a little higher than I wanted, but ultimately was fair and a pretty good deal. The purchase experience was quick, professional and relatively pain free. All the staff was courteous, competent and professional. I'm very happy with the purchase of my new 2013 Chevy Volt. What a phenomenal vehicle!

Johnny on the spot, we approached the guys and gals at covert in a time crunch. Needed a specific truck with very short notice and we were coming from dallas. They went above and beyond to make it happen. Drove away same day with exactly what we needed. Had to go back for a computer reprogram for the blinkers (flatbed with led bulbs all the way around, hyper flash) , drove from Dallas to bastrop and they got me in and out in no time at all. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable of their products. Every time I need something Rafael is just a phone call away and always willing to help, even if he's not at the store. I hope to continue doing business with these awesome people. They deserve it!

I have always been a skeptic working with car dealers because I have had some bad experiences in the past so when I was looking into the GMC Canyon and having to go through a dealer to get one I was not looking forward to it. A friend of mind, after having a conversation regarding my interest, told me about Covert Bastrop and Chris Crawford. They have purchased a few vehicles from him in the past and couldn't say enough about the experience and how positive it was. I was still very cautious but after having some conversations with him regarding my needs and what I was looking for, Chris was able to answer all my questions and get me into exactly what I was wanting. From start to finish this was a great experience and I will be going back to Chris and gang at Covert for my next purchases down the road - I will also recommend them to my friends and family.

Really happy with Covert in Bastrop. Dealt with Rick Zamora and he was easy to work with and up front and honest on everything. I also tried making a deal with Capitol Chevrolet in Austin and felt they were the type of dealership that pulls out every old school tactic and trick to screw you over they can think, and Covert did none of that so really glad I found them.

Because of the great sales experience when I purchased my Avalanche truck from Covert Bastrop in 2012...I returned and purchased my second truck. Raphael Lopez was the salesman for both trucks. Raphael is knows the product and is just a great guy to do business with. I hope Raphael Lopez is still there when I return in a few years for my third GMC truck. (Maybe sooner, my wife fell in love with the Yukon) LOL.

Recently I was notified that I could get my Equinox inspected and get my license renewed even though I was due for an inspection / license renewal until September. I'm not one to hold on to documents for months so I immediately called the Service department at Covert Chevrolet to schedule an appointment. I was able to get an appointment scheduled. On the day of my appointment I arrived at the dealership 15 minutes prior to my appointment time. The vehicle was returned to me within 20 minutes with the certificate to take to the tax office. I completed the trip and had the licensed/inspected vehicle back at my house in less than 1 1/2 hrs.

My experiences with each employee at Covert Chevrolet was very professional from the person that took my call for the appointment, to the person working at the counter and the person that notified me that my vehicle was ready for picking up, each employee was attentive and professional. A GREAT experience. Good Job!

Excellent dealership, people, availability of options, financing options, and management. Found a great truck with Tim Juarez, our excellent salesman. Kind, courteous, and knowledgeable so was able to answer all my questions and navigate the process to get me a great deal on a new Sierra. I was surprised at the deals the dealership was offering and Jonathan in financing shocked me with the options available to me. Even the manager stepped in to help wrap up a deal and make things happen for me. I made an appointment online for a 1pm oil change with a shuttle back to work and to be picked up, my car was not done by 4:30p but it was completed by 5p. I was given a discount on my oil change, which I loved!! I waited in a very clean and nice waiting room and my driver Bernard was amazing as always!

Once I figured out they had lied to me they said they would exchange by buy, but in 2 1/2 weeks the vehicle had depreciated $4000. If a Buick depreciates that much in 21/2 weeks stay away from Buick you lose $ as soon As you turn the car on. NEVER AGAIN

BEWARE BUYERS!!!when buying a used car from this dealership.....Used vehicles do not come with their warranty. I had bought a Jeep Wrangler from this dealer, but before buying it I had noticed small leaks on the vehicle. I had asked BILLY VALDEZ if the car had passed inspection and if course he said yes to my suprise on the day I had bought the car on the way home a check engine light came on. The truth comes out you know. I had contacted my seller to see if something could be done. And all that could be done knowing that the car had no warranty was to get it diagnosed. The next day I had driven all the way from Austin to find out the car had three problems. To me it seems that there had been no inspection done whatsoever. They expected me to pay out of pocket after I had told them I had put $6000 down payment it s like they knew this would happen. So thanks a lot to this dealership I have to go see my mechanic to figure out what those three issues were because apparently no one had the audacity at covert to fix it.. It just proves that the majority of the staff here doesn t care about the consumer and are not embarrassed by it. If any of the staff is reading this let this be a wake up call! You have lot a costumer and plenty of others..just by others reading this review. And BUYERS again do not waste your time at this DISHONEST dealership!

I needed to purchase a new vehicle because my car was totaled in a rear end collision, so my husband and I went to Covert Bastrop as returning customers. As we walked in the door we were approached by a sales lady by the name of Ms Jacqueline Davis. She was very polite and professional as she asked us to step into her office. We shared the monthly payment that we wanted to stay within and Ms Davis proceeded to show us vehicles. When we found one that we liked, she told us to go drive it. We liked it immediately so after completing the paperwork Ms Davis helped us set up onstar and connect bluetooth. I was so impressed and thanked her for excellent service. I will share this with my friends and family that are looking to purchase a vehicle.

This was my first time bringing my Terrain here for service (and most certainly the last). I had an appointment at 9am for an oil change, I wasn't checked in until 9.45am - my car just sat there. Then I was told it would be two hours for the oil change (if you add the 45 minutes I had already waited, that totals to a wait time of almost 3 hours) I tried to stay positive and agreed to waiting, as they would also check why my check engine light comes on randomly. At 11.20 my service advisor told me that the light was due to the camshaft, not a big deal. I informed her of my extended warranty (bought through Covert...) and she said she had to go to lunch first and then would look into it. Please do the math here, I had already been waiting for 2.5 hours and they really though it was acceptable to wait another hour for her to take lunch AND then wait however long it would take to fix it (I'm also 8 months pregnant...). I decide to take the shuttle home as waiting was completely out of the question. At 2pm (!!) I get a call informing me that they couldn't locate the warranty and asked me to call GMC Austin (which I did - thank you GMC Austin for always being so professional) and I called back to give them the policy number. Another hour passes with NO updates, so I called and I made it very clear that my daycare closes at 5.30pm and I had to pick up my car on time. I was assured that would not be a problem, a driver would be picking me up at 4.30pm... at 4.45pm I was still waiting. I called and the lady assured me he was on his way (I live 10 minutes from the dealership - and it later turned out that was a lie as well, as the driver told me he was all the way out in Cedar Creek). Again I stressed that I had to be at the daycare by 5.30pm. Well, the driver did not show up until 5.15pm, told me he was never informed about picking me up at 4.30pm. We get to the dealership and the service advisor acted surprised about me coming in so late and tried to blame it on the driver, I almost lost it. I do not appreciate being lied to. I was late to pick up my son, had to pay a late fee and NOBODY even cared to call and apologize. I am appalled by the disrespect and carelessness of these "service" employees. I will return to GMC Austin, they also do complimentary car washes with every oil change and vacuum your car... In sum, do not waste your time at this location!

Once I took delivery, there were a few minor issues that they resolved for me immediately, the manager Carrie was wonderful and responsive. When checking out with the receptionist, I kindly asked her how much would this car service normally cost? - she looked at me, rolled her eyes, and said I have no idea. After spending a lot of money on a brand new vehicle at Covert Bastrop, I would like to be treated with more respect than that. I had wrecked my vehicle and so it began to start shopping for a new vehicle. Rafa Lopez at covert Bastrop made the process extremely simple, he listened to my needs, was extremely convenient with my spouse and I schedule. By the time we figured the right fit, he had a few vehicles there ready to test drive once we arrived. It was surprisingly raining and he had the car in a location that kept us dry, then he showed us the features we wanted and explained in both English and Spanish (my wife s first language is Spanish). Once we understood everything, he then gave us the key to test drive. We immediately knew this was the vehicle, but had to make a few upgrades. Once we returned the vehicle we then explained the need of specific items and he made it happen. Luckily for us they had one in stock and the same color.

Rafa made this purchase a simple one and after the purchase he continues to ask if I have any concerns and explained when maintenance needs to be addressed etc...

Another huge aspect that I respected is he explained of some important add ons that I agreed with then after sleeping on it. We decided not to go through with them, unlike most others they would ask why or try to offer another idea. Rafa said I understand and followed up with my needs and concerns only!

Recently bought a 2016 Land Rover LR4 from Covert ...

Recently bought a 2016 Land Rover LR4 from Covert and during their "inspection" they seemed to miss numerous things and/or didn't disclose them to me. First, upon delivery, there was a warning message alerting me to the brake pads being worn. I was never alerted to this nor was I offered an explanation. Instead I had to call my sales rep to ask if the brakes were even checked, to which his response was that the technician stated the brakes were at 40% (again something you'd think would be disclosed). There were also several other things like a broken parking sensor (which was noticed on the test drive but, again, not assessed or fixed). When I reached out to Covert to make this right the gave me the ole "Well our inspection said everything was fine" which implies that they either did a lackadaisical inspection or found those things and chose not to disclose them to me. Either way one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever experienced and I've flown American Airlines before. The sad thing is they didn't even have to work for the sale because I'd wanted an LR4 so bad. Won't be back and will tell everyone in my network about this experience.

I'll start by saying I was always a person who would take someone else's headache and toss a couple hundred bucks into it and make it work for a couple of yrs . So I had recently decided I had enough of this aggravation and went to find a newer gently used vehicle or possibly a new one if my credit allowed. I wound up at Rush Chevrolet in Elgin where I had a more than unpleasant experience. The next day I tried covert in bastrop. I explained to the gentleman that assisted me about my previous days experience and how I didn't wish to have a repeat of it . Within in a few minutes of conversation and looking thru stock on the computer, I looked at a truck I was comfortable with and before you know it I was driving away a happy satisfied customer. Shout out to Rafa in sales . I don't think i could sing enough praise for these ladies and gentlemen. Have maintenance done regularly with them , they are always very accommodating. Give them a shot !

SERVICE: disappointing
Dropped off my truck Wednesday morning, 11/25 @ 8:30am, it has approx. 11K miles. My appt. was not logged for some reason. The service advisor, Will Nobles, gave me the impression he had better things to do. We walked it & reviewed my concerns: 1) windshield splinter 2) driver side, side mirror motor is not functioning consistently, seems weak and doesn t open/close fully and/or opens/closes slowly 3) brakes squeak & have off and on since I purchased the truck 4) brakes are sticking or transmission is sticking 5) requested an oil change

I was told I d get a call with questions or concerns from the service advisor or he d let me know when the truck was ready, neither occurred. I called a few times from 4-4:30, but got VM. My salesman called and got through, he relayed it was ready. I picked up the truck at approximately 5:45pm, my wife driving about 30 miles from Austin in traffic tool more time than I d hoped.

I got on 71 headed West back to Austin and was alerted my tire pressure was low, 36 lbs on my back passenger wheel. It was down to 35 when I got home. More importantly, & frustrating, the only issue that was addressed was #3. Issue 1) I was told the windshield splinter was a rock chip ( I don t necessarily believe this and I m looking for more feedback from a glass professional or two) 2) they couldn t recreate the mirror motor issue, I understand that 4) I believe this was completely overlooked and it was assumed the squeaky brake issue would fix it. I also doubt the truck was driven to confirm if the issue was present because as soon as I left it was obvious the problem was still present 5) I was told I still had 40% oil life so an oil change wasn t necessary (that s understandable).

A little communication about the service or lack thereof could have prevented wasting time and gas to travel back and forth to Bastrop for virtually nothing, correcting a known brake issue that was caused by poor engineering or manufacturing from what I gathered.

I phoned ahead to arrange to have several options installed on my new Acadia. I told them I would be pressed for time, as I would be on my way to a meeting. Preston in the service department arranged everything so I would have a loaner vehicle waiting for me and I was on my way within 15 minutes of them opening. He then called me later to let me know that my vehicle was ready. It then took only 10 minutes to drop off the loaner and pick up my vehicle.

I continue to be extremely impressed with the entire Covert operation. They are all a pleasure to do business with.

Bad service department. They never call to tell you vehicle is ready. And when you call they will tell you it is being worked on and will call you in a few minutes. I decided to call after an hour and a half later.
And all they wanted to do was take a message for the service rep. Brcausr he wsnt available anymore
