When I purchased my car I was told the extended maintenence plan meant, and I quote "Just keep it insured and put gas in."

HA! Since then it's always something, this isn't covered that isn't covered. To the tune of 200 300 150...

This time I get my 2013 sonic picked up bc it isn't running right, again. They pick up at 1, tell me it needs new air filter, but that it can't be done today or tmrw. (20 min job max) So they are going to sell me a new air filter, but by the time they finally get around to it the first one will be dry... AND it wont be covered bc they are psychic and know I drove through deep water. Although a light search of the net indicates it could get in through a myriad of ways.

My husband and I were shopping for a Sierra AT4 in El Paso, TX but inventory was very low. We then turned our search online and began speaking with Edgar Rojo with Covert GMC. I admit I was very skeptical at first since I have always purchased my vehicles by spending all day at a dealership. Edgar made our purchase extremely easy without the pain of staying at the dealership while endlessly negotiating. Jose with Covert delivered our AT4 today at our house and patiently explained every detail. Truck , 2- 3 weeks later knocking motor slipping tranny bad vibration you will get a better car at a tote the note place . this place get you approved fast and then have it delivered to you so you don't know right away its not worthy for the price you paid for it

Best experience ever, never had to leave the house.

I had reached out online about a used vehicle; my request for information was answered and an appointment was made. Things went downhill from there. I went in on a Sunday, when the banks were closed and told that they would follow up the following day. From that point, getting information from anyone there was like pulling teeth.

I've never had to chase anyone down before trying to purchase a vehicle from them. I went in a week ago in person and made several phone calls since, and I still have not heard anything from anyone. This is no way to treat customers.

I've since decided to withdraw from the vehicle market (which is for the best, since they apparently sold the vehicle I was looking at to someone else), but when I get back into it, I will walk before I will buy a vehicle from Covert.

Once again Danny was quick to get us in and timely in
the service.

I've bought two vehicles in the past from Covert. I tried to contact my previous salesman, Robby Turner, by sending him an email and calling and leaving a message. I received no response to either. I called again and he answered his phone. He worked up a quote for ordering a vehicle for me and was supposed to talk to his appraiser to determine a value on my current vehicle. He never called back. I sent him an email asking him some questions about his quote and never heard back. I finally got tired of trying to get in contact with a salesperson who obviously does not need my business. I ended up buying from Sterling McCall GMC in Houston and they beat Robby's quote and were very responsive to my questions and returned phone calls, texts and emails promptly and were extremely friendly and professional. I would not recommend Covert .

Just an update. I ordered a vehicle from Sterling McCall with the help of their sales associate, Debbie Roberts. When ordering we agreed on a price and value of my trade in with my understanding that the value of my vehicle would likely change when the new vehicle was delivered. When I arrived to pick up my new vehicle Sterling McCall had added several things to the price which drove the price of the vehicle up by over $2,000 and reduced my trade in by about $4,000. I did not complete the purchase. These people are scumbags and cannot be trusted. This is the worst experience I've ever had while purchasing a vehicle. WARNING, DO NOT DEAL WITH STERLING MCCALL.

I had my oil changed here and for the second time they didn't fill my fluids!! :-( VERY disappointed in these SUPPOSE to be professionals. How do you not check the fluids. I live in Austin and do not want to put those EXTRA miles on my car just for fluids. GET IT TOGETHER COVERT!!!

My experience with the repair team was less than stellar, they kept pushing the date back and kept my car over a month but she did the best to communicate with us and keep us updated on the status of the car. We bought a Honda pilot from here. Very relaxed no pressure to buy. The sales man was very helpful and patient showing us several vehicles. Overall great buying experience.

The overall experience was great! I left my vehicle, A wonderful driver took me home (10 miles). The next day the diagnosis was given to me. I waited for a call but eventually called myself. This is a small negative, but the company is really busy).I was given the estimate and the repair was completed on time and another great driver came to pick me up at my home and brought me back to pay and pick up my vehicle. Unfortunately I have to click a star to leave a review. Otherwise it would be a no star review. I had the mis fortune of walking in and being greeted by Buster. I explained to Buster what I wanted and he started his high pressure sales game. He first started by belittling my trade and explaining that nobody would give me what I was asking, despite the fact I had 3 written offers and ultimately got more than those offers at Covert GMC in Austin. When I explained to him I had a letter from my bank allowing me X amount he stated that the terms and total dollar allowance could be beat. All I had to do was run our credit with GM. I explained we have worked hard, very hard, to get our credit where it was and did not want our credit hit by i quiries. He PROMISED - REPEATEDLY that it would only be hit by GM financing. I agreed to allow it 1 TIME. Ends up he hit our credit 12 different times. We ended up financing at Covert GMC in Austin with GM so all of the otjer inquiries were unneccesary and damaged my credit for the next 2 years. After I was unable to stomach his bully sales tactics I left and went to Covert GMC Austin the following day. He called repeatedly the next day. I mean ALOT. He was sending pictures ov vehicles we could not afford with promises of gauranteed financing, he said he was approved by the general manager to offer me $41k for my trade vs the $38k he ridiculed the day before. When I respinded to that text he rescinded the offer and then went back to his sales tactics. When he found out I was buying from Covert GMC in Austin he started sending me pictures of vehicles that were well out of my price range and saying he had my financing taken care of. My sales person at the time was blown away by what he was doing. I finally had to block him because it was a call or text every 3-5 minutes for hours. STEER CLEAR. This man wasted my time, peace of mind and damaged my credit through his lies and high pressure sales. Nat Tucker

We had an unexpected tire failure bringing our new coupe home from Houston and Todd and his crew were life savers! They sent out a driver with a tow truck who knew how to handle the car correctly and they were able to get ahold of a replacement tire for us. The technician was even a national award winning tech. Everyone we dealt with there was over the top friendly and helpful. Thank you for the great service and team!

I the first want start off with that this is not a bad review. I recently had some work done and the experience wasn t 100%, with having a few issues that did not get resolved. When I told them they were still issues that were not fixed, they instructed me to bring it in so they can try to do everything possible to get everything corrected (common usual reply / lip service from most service departments). Unfortunately I cannot bring it right away due to needing the vehicle for work this week. I received the survey from the dealership this morning and I described my not so pleasant experience. Not but 20 minutes later after leaving the review in the survey I received a call from Chance Covert (owner of the dealership). My original opinion of the dealership was quickly proven wrong. Chance Covert and his team do care about their customers experience which is nice to have in a world where most businesses have lost sight of that. Terrible service advisor Matt didn't communicate well, my vehicle was there for over 3 weeks and then was delivered to me incomplete and with a broken housing on my shifter and then I was told by Matt that he didn't think he could do anything about it. Had to send vehicle right back in and speak to GM at dealership. I never even received a call from the service manager The service department here is terrible

Purchasing a vehicle at Covert in Bastrop is a positive experience, no back and forth between sales people and haggle here and there.
Buster, by now our personal sales rep. knows what he is talking about, polite, to the point and precise. The finance person Jonathan is cut from the same cloth, very knowledgeable and to the point.
We came in, told them what we liked and within a record time where on our way in a new vehicle.
The service department too, will go through all the hoops to get you back on the road as fast as possible. Last year we where time bound but had an urgent recall on a Suburban LTZ (2011) and it was taken care of in a quick and highly professional way.
Covert, you sure have my business.

I have purchased two vehicles from Covert Bastrop over the years. In 2001 and again in 2013. Both were a positive experience however, This past week I needed new tires for the 2013 GMC 3500 and was planing on using my spare on the rear as the fourth tire. The date code on the tire is 2008. This means I bought a 2013 Vehicle with a 5 year old spare. Tire dealers will not install a tire older than 10 years. This spare is now 11 years old and can t be used. I ve sent two emails to my Covert sales person with no response. Further more this spare was not the same brand of tire as the Mitchlen tires on the truck when purchased. I m now looking to make another car purchase. I ll update this post if and when anyone from the Covert team responds.

Exceeded my expectations, which were already high! Purchased my wife's Tahoe with Covert a few years ago, since it was the best deal around. The 45 min drive to get it serviced is very much worth my time. I purchased the extended warranty, and have always gotten superb service. My wife gets a courtesy rental each time. Kara, our Service Advisor was top notch! When my wife picked up her vehicle, they even detailed it for her, without even requesting it! All around great service with COVERT BASTROP!

Came in for an oil change and to have my tires rotated. Also my mirror and seat memory does not work properly. This is the 2nd time I have had this checked. They tell me there is nothing wrong with it so maybe it is just me and my husband that have problems with it. But I really like the advisor I have the last couple of times. She seems to be very helpful ! I think her name was Bree.

bought a 64K truck it was disclosed to me that the truck had suffered front end damage when the dealer received it, assured that it was repaired back to 100% factory new. 6 months later a fog light bezel is missing, there is a crack on the bumper behind the bezel and the bumper is not aligned. they took it back to inspect it and are saying that I hit or was hit but the bumper has no impact damage or dent. Pretty convenient that the crack on the bumper is where the bezel hides it and the dealer has no documentation of where the previous damage occurred except that it was the bumper, sounds shady. If they actually had documentation of the repairs i would believe they used a new bumper and just didn't hide previous damage with a new bezel. Gunn GMC was going to replace the bezel under warranty but i noticed the bumper was not aligned so i told them i didnt want to burden them as i didnt buy from them and would take it back to covert. Next time I need a gm product it will not be from here.
