Guest room was fairly nice other than a mattress that was collapsed on one side. The building is older and cheaply renovated I.e. poorly painted elevator entry ways. For $200 per night, I was led to believe breakfast would be included. I paid $27 for a plate of powdered eggs and cold home fries. Overall my experience felt very poor and I would not stay here again.

Pros: I like the location being down town. All the staff that I met were very nice. Room has a desk, refrigerator and a safe. There is a Starbucks in the Hotel along with a small bar.

Cons: The bathroon setup. You have the tub and toilet together. To wash your hands you have to go out of the bathroom walk in front of bed and tv to a small area to wash your hands. That is where you have the mirror to get ready. No privacy and you can wake someone sleeping.

Front desk associates were all very energetic and helpful. Room was upgraded to a Corner Suite that was very spacious! Not a very tall hotel so the views are limited, however the location is amazing being walking distance to Yonge Dundas and line 1 on the TTC.

Stayed one night on business. I have stayed here before but this time the cleanliness was severely lacking. I got to the room in the night and noticed urine stains on the seat. They had dried up and I cleaned it up before using the toilet. The room was oddly designed. The bathroom with shower was on one side of the room and the sink was in the other. The next morning noticed more stains around the pot. At that point I took pictures. Very disappointing.

We choose this hotel because it's on the list of recommended local shirt stay accommodations by Sick Kids hospital for having a discount for those being treated there. What they don't tell you is that in order to get a discount of what works out to less than 10%, I had to provide a letter from Sick Kids on letterhead before my check out time at noon. I am 5 months pregnant with a baby who has a rare and complex heart defect. This was our first appointment for an assessment after diagnosis. I was travelling with my husband and two year old son. We had no letter. This meant asking someone at the hospital to write one up and somehow sending my husband back to the hotel before noon in the middle of all our various scans and consults in order to get $16, yes, $16 off the hotel room. Thank you for making our already difficult stay in Toronto that much harder. You should be ashamed. A little kindness and flexibility often goes a very long way. Clearly, Marriott needed the money more. Merry Christmas.

Was a nice location downtown Toronto and all of the rooms were nicely updated. However, there were a few things that really didn't work for me. Twice while using the elevator near our room it wouldn't move. It would open and let us press the floor numbers, but it wouldn't go anywhere. Us an another couple had to get off and use the stairs because of it. The other thing was the bathroom on the bedroom had a sliding barn door type set up rather than a traditional door (to save space most likely) but it didn't follow the track properly and close all the way on it's on and left an undesirable gap.

Rooms are nice, the staff were friendly/helpful and the bistro has great food.

Only reason I can't give it 4 stars is that the hot water taps max out at warm. No hot water. Couldn't even shave properly.

Attended a 2 day conference in the Wood room. Room space was perfect for up to 30 people. Food service was provided for breakfast and lunch. Customized menu was wonderful and staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Rooms are amazingly big. Not great views but central to a lot of things. All the staff were friendly and engaged whenever spoken to. Very comfortable beds. Lots of cabs in the morning if staying for meeting.

After the fire alarm, three elevators stopped working for over a day. That's a problem for such a large and tall building. But the hotel staff was pleasant, location is conveniently close to College subway station and a pharmacy convenience store next door.

It s a decent place to stay in downtown with a 1 minute walk from TTC Subway. But there are few things that i didn t like about it.
Apart from gym and pool there is nothing much to do here. It s quite suitable for business professionals.

Pros: Nice location.
Less than 2 minutes walk from Tim Hortons, Starbucks, McDonalds and Second Cup.
The Halal Guys, Eaton Centre and Yonge-Dundas Square are in a walking distance too.
Very Fast Checkin and Checkout

Cons: Not enough toiletries like Toothbrush, tooth paste etc.
I didn t received even the water bottles.

Some good , some bad.

The Bad - the service desk didn t let me know that my stay included breakfast, and I have purchased one every morning at the lobby caffe. And no , wasn t offered a refund or a Bonvoy members compensation.

The good- surprisingly good food at the coffee/restaurant place. Enjoyed a salmon dinner and a morning omelet and both were very good.

Hotel and rooms are very clean. Staff are helpful and always cheerful. Great location on Yonge St. The only thing that requires some attention is the restaurant items. There isn't much to order.

The staff at Courtyard by Marriott Downtown are outstanding, and really make sure to give extra effort to help you out. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in Toronto. Well worth the price!

Not very good. Too much money for what we got! Toilet overflowed first flush. Bed is horrible...Springy & squeaky. The elevators are confusing. And only valet parking. What a pain in the butt!! Should have went to delta/eaton chelsea...

The room was nice. The beds were comfy and theres nothing to complain about. The outlet and USB port selection was plentiful. The shower was nice and big and I appreciate them putting one of the lights in the shower past the curtains. So many hotels I've been to have no light in the shower part of the bathroom and it's so annoying because you have very limited sight in terms of clearness especially if the parts of the bathroom that have lights and the bathtub are separated by a shower curtain. The other complaints I have are the elevators are really small. My brother and I went to go put our luggage in our room using a trolley and I had to squeeze by the rail of the trolley and the wall of the elevator. Also the washing room is pretty creepy. Although it is free so I guess that kind of makes up for that.

This hotel has multiple problems that belie the Courtyard name. With multiple clackity elevators (one of which has now been shut down without any posted notice), room ceilings that are pealing away, disinterested valet staff, lack of on-site self-parking, emergency water shut-offs, and rude room cleaning staff, this place is in need of serious overhaul from multiple vectors. These issues we're not reported to hotel staff due to the several reasons, but this review wouldn't have changed much if they were reported directly to management. I did have good experiences with the Bistro and main desk. This location also appears to be well-cleaned in the common areas. That's why it's two stars and not less.

Stayed for 9 days and loved it even though we ran into a couple issues. First our room didn't have hot water, but it was fixed as soon as I asked and we were comped $20 off the restaurant downstairs. Very accommodating staff. Not much of a view unless you have a high floor. Free wifi is great, and you can upgrade if you want. Pool is mediocre but fitness center is very up to date.
