The location of this particular Courtyard is great if you're in Toronto and planning the bulk of your time in the downtown region. It is located right next to a subway station. The hotel rooms are typical but very nice and large enough for my liking. The staff has been great and very accommodating.

Came for an exam sitting. The room was clean, bright, and when asked they quickly provided a power cable for our clock and even taped it down. Water pitchers and candies were provided at every table which was very hospitable. Only thing is the table size was slightly smaller than ideal for exam writing.

Pretty good for a downtown hotel, but dang was it pricey.. valet was very friendly..

Ask for a room at the back of the hotel (valet side and check-in side). It backs up to some other buildings. If you have a room at the front of the hotel, it faces a busy street, with lots of traffic throughout the night.

If you are a light sleeper, you will not be happy with a room there at the front of the hotel..

This location may have had a new coat of paint applied but many of the short comings are very visible. The water pressure is lacking, the in room products are just an afterthought. HVAC, coffee maker, hair drier and bed are just meh at best. I will look at othet hotels in the area if i need to consider staying again.

The hotel itself was not so bad but the problem was in the negotiations. I was about 5 days old at the hotel. Breakfast is solved at the bar where you can choose from several options. Obviously breakfast is not included for everyone, so at the beginning I again informed at breakfast whether the breakfast was included in the hotel price. Of all the days, breakfast was charged and debited from my credit card. I think the problem was that the bar staff changed every day. Anyway, if you ask why there is such a problem one breakfast for 16 Canadian dollars, that is, 330k ... because I was on the business trip on the spot, therefore paid a stay with a business credit card. After almost half a year of complaints, because no one understands what could have been torn down when I was in the price of the hotel, I have to pay this amount and I have other related problems at work. Therefore, on my next trips I will definitely choose other problem-free hotel chains to avoid these problems.

So I move in and the rooms looks great a water leak in the shower that could not be fixed after assessment by hotel engineer, so the hotel moved me to an other room that wasn t properly cleaned and had the same problem ( shower leaking ), only this time my neighbours in the next room were partying all night! So no good night sleep for a week, What bothers me the most the amount of water wasted with every shower leaking in this major hotel in Toronto!!

I stayed here early June for 3 nights and had a standard king room on 10th floor. I had a note for early check in and received it.
Check in receptionist was professional and polite and the process was fast, took around 5 mins.
Room was clean but the size was fairly small. The room seemed to have been renovated recently and had comfortable bed, a chair and a table. The AC in the room was probably from 90s and was effective but then the temperature was also in early 20s. The sink was tucked next to the wardrobe and that was the only sink (no sink in bathroom).
The worst part was the water supply on the sink tap, as it was wonky. If you had the tap setting to hot, it still provided cold water or vice versa.
The coffee/tea supplies in the room were really cheap kinds with a water boiling machine next to it. And a high charge of $35 for valet parking overnight did not seem justified.
The only good part was probably the location, around 10 minutes walk from yonge dundas, 15 to 20 mins walk to nathan phillips square and a 2 mins walk to the subway station.

Overall an average no-frills hotel at a good location. I will only consider it again if I get a good deal on price like this time.

Absolutely nothing. Bugs and got bit by something and I keep itching I see bugs hopping at my house now. I have red lumps all over me now. The staff are so ignorant and the security staff has no respect or concern for the well being of others. Don't stay here .... boycotting courtyard mariott and I hope you do too. They kicked me out AFTER my black boyfriend came up stairs and claimed a noise complaint when music wasn't playing and we were being respectful. Never ever stay here

Good hotel in a great location. As a Marriott member they allowed me to check-in early and the staff was extremely kind and polite. Rooms are large, well-equipped and clean, as in all Marriott I stayed. The breakfast can satisfy any type of guest with a wide choice of top quality products.

First time back in Toronto for quite a long time and chose to stay here. The rooms are very spacious, the wifi is excellent and free of charge. Valet parking for the week was included with the room and very useful although the car was barely used through the week. Everything you need is nearby, good food, coffee houses and transport links. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In the room I was in there a great view of Yonge Street going north. Really was picture perfect in the evening. Bed was comfortable, TV was adequate although the lack of a DVD player surprised me a little bit.

Attended work Christmas function. Banquet rooms are nice. Staff are professional and courteous. Only complaint is the drinks menu is really expensive i.e. $10.00 for a wine $7.00 for a beer and $5.00 for a soda/pop. Considering this was a corporate event, it could have discounted a little especially in a time where the government is introducing a buck a beer. Otherwise service an venue is great.

The worst customer service. Beyond upset during my check-in experience. I booked this hotel 3 months prior to my work trip and upon checking in the hotel did not confirm my reservation. I had to wait over 3 hours to receive a room!!! Ridiculous!! If I can give this hotel 0 stars I would. So surprise of the lack of professionalism by the front desk and hotel manager, especially since this is a global hotel chain.

Good hotel and refurbished rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Great location. Three stars coz they didn't really wash the bathrooms properly. Saw hair on the floor and in the bath tub on the 1st day I got the room. Subsequent days it was obvious bath tub was not cleaned. Initially I scored them two stars because of this but changed to three coz the staff are really nice and professional ppl.

Although I did not stay at the hotel, I had to cancel a hotwire Hot Rate booking I made here. Thea and her staff helped me to get my non-refundable booking refunded by hotwire, with out any hassel. I will always keep this customer service in mind when booking inToronto, thank you so much.

Courtyard Marriott continues to impress me. Friendly staff at both the front desk and the Bistro. My room was clearly recently renovated and very clean. Perfect for business travel. Elevators probably need updating but I really don't care about that as long as my room is clean and the people are nice, so non-issue.

We will definitely keep this hotel in mind the next time we stay in Toronto. Great location. Loads of places within walking distance. Vallet parking was a bit steep and they were in the process of some renovations...but the view from our room was beautiful and the staff was very friendly.

Just stayed at the location on Yonge Street in Toronto....wow what a disappointing experience. So almost get kicked out at 930pm on a Saturday night for having music playing on an iphone and 4 people laughing....somehow that is too loud? And one would think that the manager could simply just have called up to the room and politely tell us that someone complained about the noise (even though we weren't loud) nope she had to come up with 4 other employees and talk to us as though we were children and she was a parent scolding us. So on top of blaming us for noise that was probably coming from another room they did so in a rude and unprofessional manner. The room itself was already bad enough. I would have assumed that when they remodeled the lobby they would do the rooms as well....nope. Guess thats why most of the pictures show the lobby. The north tower looks like it hasn't been touched in like 20 years. Like the manager told me "this is your first and final warning" well Marriott that was our first and final visit.
