Don't get me wrong, the service is great the interior is very homely in respect to the restaurant. However this is not what I expected when I think of country cooking. I guess my preference is more akin to Famous Dave's. Perhaps this food is authentic to the South as I am a mid Westerner. Nobody in my party was thoroughly satisfied with the food. It was a great experience but it's not for us.

Didn't care for this place at all. Cornbread and corn were extra dry. Pig wings were salty. Waitress had zero personality and took forever to come check on us. Won't be going back there.

The food and service is always good.
The building, inside and outside is old and needs to be cleaned. The AC vent has so much dust on it, it looks almost like hair.

Me and my husband was taking my daughter and son in law out for his birthday. Waitress was awful and rude, slow service . I sent my burned chicken back twice and told her to just forget my order. Bbq was all fat and grisly, husband could not eat his and my children order was also overcooked. Was first time this has happened and I won't go back there again. It was a birthday dinner I will never forget and still had to pay for it.

The Applebee's of BBQ. Under the cool store front and nice assortment of sides is just mediocre BBQ. Overall this place is a solid restaurant that I frequent, but the BBQ just isn't great.

Had a brisket sandwich last night. I've had better BBQ sandwiches from gas stations and road side stands.

Chicken tenders are great. Ranch dressing and sweet tea are on point. Sides in general are great. Mediocre BBQ, terrible chili.

We have been going to Country's since it opened and LOVE IT! My brothers and sisters even take road trips from Atlanta at least once a month to come eat! However, the last few times I have had a few issues I always get double fries as my 2 sides and lately I am given the same dang amount of others that are just getting one side of them! I do get more when I point it out to the waitresses though so it works out. My entire Atlanta family came down on Saturday afternoon for our annual after Thanksgiving Country's feast. We have never been so disappointed All of our food was waaay over cooked! The fried pickles so badly that we couldn't even eat them! When we told our waitress she apologized, but didn't get us new ones ooor take them off our bill!

We came to the one off Macon Road and we have eaten at this one before but mostly the one uptown. I think the service is always great and the sides are fantastic. my only complaint is that the meat whether its the pork or the chicken is always over cooked and dried out. Otherwise I would have gave them 5 stars.

The best BBQ and southern cooking!!! Local folks since 75 with three locations... Mercury drive is the best location. Great desserts too. Banana pudding divine. The only thing I've EVER had that I wasn't wild about was the ribs. I've seen More

After reading the reviews, we stopped in after a 6 hour drive coming to see my son graduate Army basic training (Ft Benning). The smell outside was great so I was excited but mine and my children's food was cold! The manager took it back and brought "warmer" food and she was really nice but the ribs appeared and tasted old. I complained to the waitress and the cashier and not one offered to comp the meal....bad business! So now we're going to bed hungry after a $50 bill....

Whenever I'm in Columbus I try to stop at Country's. My go to is the Brisket with Shoop Sauce. However, the pork is also very good. Portions are good sized, the cost is reasonable, and love the Americana decor.

Just finished an army graduation & we were starved. First time visiting & we will definitely return. The brisket was delish! Pulled pork was also delish! EVERYTHING we had was on point. I'd even make a special trip to Columbus just to eat here. This restaurant is in my top 2 all time best food! The wait is worth every minute

The Country's on exit 10 is a little nicer but this location offers a more Southern environment in my opinion. Food isn't anything worth blogging about but it's reasonably priced and for Columbus it may be the best place in town.

My favorite place to stop when I'm in town. Love the BBQ. Great portion sizes. Good price. Always crowded, long wait time. Horrible parking. Ok staff. Through all of that, I never miss a visit. They also offer take out. Call in and pick up. Less wait time.

We picked up dinner last Monday. My collard greens were so salty I couldn't eat them and the cornbread was sweet when it's usually not. My husband had pork platter skimpy on the pork and no bbq sauce.

I had a 4 piece rib platter...and it was Delicious!!!! My sides were fries and potato salad. The fries were fabulous, but the potato salad not so much. The service was stellar. I would definitely go back again soon!

I really want to rate this place higher but I can't. We visited at around 9 and that's what I'm going to lead off saying. It was late and maybe because of that is why the food was just mediocre.

The pork was a bit dry, tasty with the sauces on it but was dry. Again, maybe because it was late at night but that's a poor excuse to serve it to people. The sliced pork and beef were difficult to tell which was which, and again were both dry until a sauce was put on them. The fried chicken was really good but again, a bit dry. You get 3 HUGE pieces of chicken and you will not leave hungry no matter what you order.

The fried pickles were the best I've ever had, and I do not like fried pickles. Our entire table ate the rather large order you get, it was a huge pile of pickles. The batter they use on them is phenomenal and I suggest ordering them even if you hate fried pickles, they are that good! The sides are rather good, the baked apples are ok, the sweet potato was good with cinnamon and sugar, the potato salad seasoned well.

Would like to try this place again during the day to give it another try. The staff was all super friendly. The food did take a while to get to us this night but we were told there was only 1 cook and that was why. They do take out and while we were there around 9 PM there were a lot of orders being picked up, so this place seems always busy.
