I moved in to Lincoln Center beginning of July and after living here for two weeks, I can absolutely recommend Cornerstone for many reasons. I will update this review if needed after living here for longer, I just felt that my positive experience so far needed to be shared!

Lucas was my leasing agent and he made the move-in process so easy and stress-free. His customer service was on point and much appreciated! Since moving in, I ve interacted with both Cara & Max and both have been super friendly and helpful with any questions I ve had. Also shout out to Mike, the maintenance guy for responding to maintenance requests promptly and solving the minor issues I ve had (normal wear & tear stuff from it being an older building). You can tell the building has been well maintained, neighbors are quiet & friendly, laundry room is clean, and the price is right. I can tell I ll enjoy the rest of my stay at this location as well as with this property group!

Cornerstone recently took over as the property man...

Cornerstone recently took over as the property management company for my apartment building. Kevin is our Portfolio Manager and he has been nothing but fabulous. He is responsive, helpful, positive, friendly and cares about his tenants. I was unsure about the new management group since I'd never rented from a Cornerstone Property previously, but it's been a great experience.

Something that is also super important is the maintenance staff. Dusko is our maintenance contact and he has been so nice and quick to help. He will get on things right away and even stop to say hello in the hallways. He's been awesome.

I have nothing but great things to say about the staff and working with Cornerstone.

Living at Cornerstone has been a great experience for me!
I found an affordable urban studio in a weeks time back in October and thankfully was able to sign a 9 month lease!
Justin and Jaret were great property managers, both very responsive and respectful whenever I needed assistance! The work order techs, Michael and Adam, were equally easy to work with as they quickly responded to my work orders and left no messes behind. This portfolio team was also very accommodating as I needed my toilet replaced 3 times.
I was further impressed with the staff at Cornerstone when I found out Maged, a maintenance man working on a total remodel in my building, is not even part of this portfolio! He worked every night, with his father, for 2 weeks straight on a remodel that now looks fabulous!
The last of the staff to impress me throughout my time as a renter were Sam, Alan, and Alex as they were quick to respond to my initial inquiries about 960 Pearl, very knowledgeable about this building, very helpful in my apartment selection process, and got my application finalized in only 2 days!
I would definitely rent from Cornerstone again! Thank y'all!

Cornerstone has been a day and night difference from dealing with Four Star. Every maintenance request I've submitted has been answered and fixed within 24-48 hours and Jared does excellent work maintaining our unit and the entire building. The office staff are always polite and quick to respond to any messages or requests. 10/10 company.

This is the Walmart of apartment management companies. They rented my girlfriend and I an apartment close to spring 2 years ago only for us to find out that there is no heat in the bedroom which we were never aware of until the first winter. They gave us 3 different space heaters that all failed! We were waking up freezing cold and then cornerstone comes to try and fix the issue and in the process spills metal grim all over our floor. After all this they tell us it can t be fixed! We got very tired of it and wanted to break our lease to move some where with working heat. Jake our portfolio manager would not work with us and we paid cornerstone or corporatestone! Over 2,000 dollars to move out for our lease history to stay positive. After this we got pretty much less than 200 dollars back on our deposit having never paid rent late! Cornerstone corporatestone will in the end screw you over! If you see a bright yellow sign anywhere take caution! Not right to rent an apartment to people when there is not even heat in your own bedroom! Don t go through this company it s corporate yuppies that will take your money and not work with you.

Have lived in a cornerstone building for a little under two years, and in all that time I don't have any complaints. I've had plenty of maintenance for a host of things, and each time I submit a request online, someone comes out to fix it immediately, I never have to wait longer than a day or two, and sometimes they show up hours after I post my request! In particular, Darryl has been a huge asset. He is conscientious and an all-around great handyman. Happy to live in a cornerstone apt, would recommend to anyone!

Fairly smooth, standard apartment-leasing service. I lived in a Cornerstone property for one year. It had just been renovated from a Section 8 housing complex (or so I was told). Because of its history and age, there were many issues with the pipes that required maintenance to enter my unit several times, often cutting into the wall, which wasn't ideal. I didn't receive my security deposit back until almost a full 60 days after moving out, which was also a little disappointing. The unit was priced well for the neighborhood and overall, I would rent from this company again.

Management is a group of terrible communicators. Increase rates with out proper notice telling me that I had to agree to a new lease a day before the term was up or go month to month for a 280 dollar increase, complete in flexible when I ask for a couple of days to make up the payment to the point of being threatening, I made the payment additional payment despite the poor notice and the inconvenience leading into the holidays. From there I put in notice and as A result I find out that my parking spot has been re appropriated to a different tenant again with no notice, I've reached out to the portfolio manager Ted Behrend by phone and email who has been completely non-responsive. This service has been appalling in addition the building lacks security there have been a couple robberies, this place is poorly managed and over priced. Save your self a head ach and move on to different options I'd move on to the next one if I were you.

I would like to mention that at no time from the application process to picking up keys was I ever asked for identification. I am very pleased with my service. I put in a work order at around 8:30am and my problems had been answered and solved before noon that same day. Michael Melamed and Ryan Hagaman made my servicing experience really quick and painless and even reached out to me to make sure my roommate and I were 100% satisfied. I specifically wanted to rent from Cornerstone because of their great reviews online so I figured should take a minute to give them another one! I moved into my dream apartment close to a month ago and I'm beyond happy with my new home and every person on the service team I have had the pleasure of interacting with so far.

I looked at several places and was extremely indecisive when looking for a new home but my leasing agent Alex was not only patient and informative, but he got me a smokin' deal once I found the one I loved. Thanks Alex!!

I was also pretty nervous about my application getting approved because of some credit issues and Covid stuff but my Leasing Coordinator Lucas was awesome and answered all of my questions right away and got me approved super fast. He even got me my keys a day early to work around my work schedule. Thanks Lucas!!

Since I've moved in my property management team Michael Melamed and Jaret Marchetti have been amazing and responded right away to the MANY questions I've had (it's been a reeeally long time since I've lived in an apartment lol) and they have both been so nice and taken care of my every need. I said I had an issue with my dishwasher one day and the next day Ryan was on my doorstep with a brand new one! I even received congratulations e-mails from both of them when I adopted a new doggy.

I couldn't be happier with my decision to rent from Cornerstone and I plan on staying with them for a long time. Thanks guys! You rock! :)

We were able to move into our apartment within a week of first viewing it, and our maintenance staff has been very helpful in figuring out several household problems we had upon moving in. I d highly recommend working with this company if you re renting in Denver! :)

Cornerstone Apartments rocks! The rental market in Denver is so competitive, but Sarah assured us Cornerstone doesn't accept more than one applicant for a unit. She also agreed to meet with my roommate and I on the same day we emailed to show us available units. She's so friendly and knowledgable, we immediately felt at home. As a resident, Robert repairs very quickly and is always super communicative. Matt and Mike are so receptive to any inquiries, and they really want you to like where you live. I am currently a resident at The Wheatley and have lived here for just over a year. A few months ago while being managed by Confluence Communities I left a one star review for this complex. The Wheatley is now being managed by Kevin with Cornerstone Apartments and in just a short time there has been a night and day difference. I have been treated with respect with every interaction I have had with Kevin. He works with me to come up with reasonable solutions. The communication about anything going on in the building has gone from nothing to getting updates from time to time, which I appreciate. It has been a breath of fresh air having Kevin here.

I have rented through Cornerstone since 2014 and I just renewed again because I have had a positive experience since the beginning, nearly six years ago. I enjoyed living in West Wash Park where Cara was a kind and responsive Portfolio Manager. When I was ready for a change, Lucas facilitated my transition to a different property and answered all my questions promptly. I am looking forward to working with Jarret now. A number of factors made my decision to renew with Cornerstone Cornerstone an easy one.

First, as a prospective renter, front-end website makes it easy to browse apartments available by the criteria most important to me (i.e., cat-friendly, price, neighborhood). I like how the website has floorplans and pictures.

Secondly, the maintenance staff is AWESOME. They are professional, effective and friendly. The RentCafe resident portal makes it super easy and quick to submit a maintenance request from your phone, tablet or computer. For the past six years, any issues have been addressed quickly, usually within 24-48 hours. I am grateful to have lived in two properties that are clean in common areas and well-lit so that I feel safe.

Third, the accessibility and responsiveness of LOCAL portfolio managers makes a big difference. To have a specific portfolio manager who cares about your quiet enjoyment and quality of life truly differentiates Cornerstone from big, corporate, out-of-state management companies. For the last six years, I have felt "cared about" for my apartment-related needs as opposed to feeling like my communications go into a corporate black-hole. Cara Young has really been a great resource for our community.

Last, Cornerstone hosts fun events where you can meet people. I love the summer concert event at City Park. It is always great food and a fun atmosphere. Thank you!

My one suggestion to the company is to continue supporting recycling program and furthermore, enhance its sustainability impact by educating its new renters and existing portfolio about "what is versus vs. what is NOT recyclable." For example, encourage move-ins to breakdown cardboard boxes and recycle them instead of putting in trash. Similarly, encourage move-outs to donate unwanted items (furniture, clothes, dishes, books, etc.) to the many local thrift stores (Goodwill, Habitat ReStore, SustainAbility, ARC) and homeless shelters, instead of in the trash/landfills.

As the Cornerstone portfolio grows along with the population of the City of Denver, there lies an amazing opportunity for local companies, like Cornerstone, to make a positive environmental impact by educating its residents about the importance of recycling properly. That could be another way to differentiate from other companies and promote the environment so crucial to the character of Colorado.

I used to live in the Julian32 building, I moved out about 6 months ago but before that I lived there for 3 years. I definitely did have some occasional issues while living there, but overall this company was great at responding to issues and made living there pretty much as difficulty-free as possible. Zach LaRue, the property manager at the time, was patient & helpful during the move-out process, for which we are very grateful. And we got our full security deposit back, which was great!

My family and I have been in the same nearly 100 year old apartment for just over 3 years now and the maintenance staff are always more than willing to go the extra mile to keep things looking and working well.

Noah has been amazing over the past few months. Most recently, he came to check our bathroom ceiling after a tiny leak from the unit above. He noticed that it needed some work (not just related to leak). He made it look like new,,,and the final coat of paint isn't even up yet! He takes time to do the job right and shows pride in his work.

I am writing this review after my interaction with one of Cornerstone's Property managers - Allie. I had written to her to complain about my laundry being taken out of the machines at the building I have been living in.

Not only was she condescending, but she brought up a review I posted about the thinness of the walls in the building (in which I specifically did not blame Cornerstone). She stated it was "unfair" of me to write a review of the building without speaking to her first. I pointed out that she would not have been able to fix the issue of the thickness of the walls, and her response was to tell me she would not offer me a renewal of my lease.

I would read the negative reviews on here - Cornerstone is a large company, they manage a lot of older buildings and in my experience are rude and unprofessional with tenants.

Edit in response to Cornerstone: No. Allie, you made some very interesting customer service choices during our interactions. When informed that my laundry had been taken out of the washer/dryer multiple times while I was monitoring it every 10 minutes, you told me "oh, set a timer." As if I didn't already tell you that I had been monitoring it.

Then, when you discovered my critical review of the noise in the building you told me it was "unfair" for me to post anything without coming to you first. I explained to you that the noise issue is out of your control, as it is related to the thin walls and not necessarily neighbors being rude. At that point you decided to non-renew my lease despite me being a rather polite tenant, paying rent on time, and not causing issues.

TL;DR I do think you were unprofessional and I would not rent from you again.

Further Edit : my car has been stolen from the parking lot. My roof has leaked into my bedroom and my AC broke. Worst company ever.

Further further Edit: Cornerstone has decided not to turn on the heat in our building, although it is 35 degrees outside. My apartment is currently around 60 degrees. Their excuse was it is "shoulder season."

Avoid them like the plague!!! This is just a huge property management company that wants your money but does not provide the services they promise. I went with them based on Google reviews so be sure to read the negative ones too because they most definitely will happen to you.

Over the summer we basically lived without AC and had service techs come "fix it" at least 7 times. Never was fixed, they basically waited for it to get cold enough outside so that AC wouldn't be needed. Thanks Cornerstone!!!

The refrigerator tripped the breaker while we were out of town so we had to throw away everything. Our microwave broke and we were told it would be replaced soon, over 10 days later is "soon" to Cornerstone. My $500
bike was stolen out of the enclosed garage. My girlfriend's car was broken into. Multiple times the elevator went out and we just had to deal with it. Multiple times the fire alarms went off and we just had to deal with it. We lived in one of their nicer properties by the way, Vista 28, I can't imagine what the other ones are like.

Their answer to everything is the typical big company "oh I'm so sorry, I understand your frustrations" but then do nothing to remedy the situation.

Save yourself a massive headache that lasts the term of your lease and take your money elsewhere.

I went through the ringer. Super drama that started with my bank account being hacked,car stolen,etc.. The staff, Kevin and Zach really helped me through this drama. Also the people in the office. You wouldn't expect this from your landlords, but they are actually there for me and have been amazingly supportive. Now I am rebuilding and getting myself back in the game.

Cornerstone has been fantastic! I've lived here for a year, and they've been friendly, helpful, and responsive but I especially want to acknowledge and thank their maintenance specialist, Noah. I've had a couple of issues since I moved in, and he has been amazingly helpful. A few weeks ago I realized my heat had stopped working, and he went above and beyond and had a new space heater in my apartment within an hour of filing the maintenance request. He's prompt, thorough, friendly, and an absolute pleasure to talk to. He's great at what he does, and clearly highly skilled. I hope Cornerstone never lets him get away, because they'll never find another groundsman like him. Thank you, Noah! Both your work and your awesome personality and customer service skills are highly appreciated!

After a debacle at my first apartment, Cornerstone was extremely helpful and accommodating moving me.
My apartment is absolutely gorgeous, but besides providing excellent living spaces, Cornerstone has also consistently provided me with great customer support and tenant support. It is easy to place service requests and they are answered/ resolved quickly. Paying rent online is flawless and allows me to pre-pay which I appreciate. I have a covered and reserved parking spot included in my rent, almost unheard of now! But Cornerstone hooks it up.

I've dealt with numerous management companies in the 11 years I've lived in Denver(used to move almost every year because of crappy companies and huge increases in rent) and I can honestly say this is the best company I've come across. The apartments are nicely updated while keeping the charm of the buildings themselves. They care about keeping good tenants - we're about to sign for a third year and our rent has not been raised. They are very responsive to emails, work orders etc. I definitely have recommended them to friends and have heard the same great reviews from other tenants of their properties.

Can't say enough good things about the quick and professional responses from the Portfolio Managers and Leasing Agents. I am writing this review of Cornerstone because I am very frustrated with the management of my apartment complex. I signed this lease in October and since signing it there has been construction almost everyday. There is plaster falling from my ceilings in my bathroom from the demolition that happened in the unit above mine. I understand that apartments need to be renovated from time to time, but I feel as though somebody should have told me that there would be construction before I signed a lease. When I was shown the apartment I was told that new washers and dryers would be installed within the month. I have lived here for 9 months now and the old ones that don't dry my clothes are still here. Finally, there is a huge portable storage unit in the middle of our parking lot that takes up 7 of our 10 parking spots. Again, none of this was disclosed to me before I signed a lease. I feel like I was tricked and the whole thing feels very sneaky on Cornerstone's part.

Even so, I was willing to overlook everything I just described above. I never complained to the management until today because I just let it all roll off my shoulders. I came home from work and found a WASPS NEST in my door frame. I called my property manager and he told me there is nothing he could do for me because it was the end of the day. His advice to me was to put on layers, gloves, a scarf and a hat and run out of my front door-but also open and close the door very gently. (I don't see how you can practically do both).

At the end of the day landlords have a duty to make their rental units hospitable, safe and free of nuisances. I am sitting in my apartment where I have to remain for the next 14 hours because Cornerstone has not upheld their side of this arrangment. I has been my experience that this company is not customer-based, and that upsets me very much because Cornerstone markets itself as very customer-friendly.

They make up reasons to come into your apartment. And the maintenance guy is creepy! He said he needed to fix outlets and not one thing is worked on. Stay out of my apartment unless there is a warranted reason. Thank you!

There is always a roblem at his apartment: rats, ants, the windows are useless, the washer dryer never work and on and on

I've enjoyed leasing from Cornerstone. I lived in an apartment of theirs when I first moved to Denver and now again having moved back from Aspen.

I have to share that the maintenance team is so helpful as well! Ray there just helped with a few things in my place that needed attention and could not have been any more professional or pleasant. Thanks, Ray!

I had an odd partial-power outage in my apartment and submitted a maintenance request. Michael Creech of Cornerstone spent over 3hrs at my apartment figuring out what was a complicated wiring issue. Michael went above and beyond in perseverance and care and fixed a few other things around my place while he was there as well. Thank you for your attention to detail and pride in your work. It shows and is much appreciated.

I lived in a Cornerstone property for three years. They're one of the best property management companies I've rented from. Their online payment and maintenance system was excellent. I only went to their office once (to pick-up the keys). The staff and property manager were all great and very responsive. My building was a bit old and some of the amenities were showing it. Cornerstone did a nice job renovating the building (e.g. new carpet, lighting, paint, etc.)

I am glad that I renewed my lease (again) with Cornerstone, primarily because of the quick maintenance and ongoing care of the building. I love coming "home" to freshly cut grass in the summer and saying thank you to the maintenance team at The Pamela who make sure even our sidewalks and gutters are free of debris. Thank you for being so responsive to maintenance requests in the past and thanks, in advance for your upkeep on these old buildings/units to make for a great living and renting experience!

We have had nothing but great experiences with Cornerstone Apartment Services since they took over management from 4 Star Realty (they were the worst!). Michael Melamed has been extremely professional and prompt when responding to concerns or maintenance requests. He has been a tremendous help. It s such a relief to know that we are actually in good hands should we need anything. Highly recommended!

Cornerstone has gone ABOVE and BEYOND to help me during a difficult time in my life/when I've had medical issues. I'm shocked to have this level of service from this large a company. Jared, our maintanence person in particular is fantastic-SO friendly and helpful and always here right away doing a fantastic job and always willing to put some extra work or help in any way!

Julian32 is a decent place, but there are a few things that need revamped. The most annoying thing though is the internet here. When I was given my first tour of the apartment I'd be renting I was explicitly told that the internet here is much better than other apartment buildings due its speed. Turns out it just gets slower and slower every week and at this point I can barely send an email let alone watch Netflix or any sort of entertainment service. Had I known this would have been an issue as well as how thin the walls are and how often the laundry machines break I wouldnt have justified how much rent costs at this building. Staff isnt bad, just not very attentive to common issues.

I have lived in Cornerstone for two years. The past two years have been great -minus hearing my upstairs neighbor breath, cornerstone was an awesome company. This year at 1244 N. Emerson however, there have been so many issues -too many to name. I recently had to call the city about a huge gas and carbon monoxide issue that was lethal with multiple violations. And currently, I have been requesting for several months to have our bee housing plants touching my patio to be groomed. I love bees, but I don't want to share an apartment with hundreds of them. Stop neglecting your tenants!! Be the Cornerstone you once were. Come guys!! Be better.

constant water shut offs with no notice, 3 months ...

constant water shut offs with no notice, 3 months of daily construction on the appartment. construction workers constantly playing loud music through the appartment and breaking things in my appartment while working on the other appartments, one tried to open our door twice this morning while sleeping.
laundry room has been closed off for 2 months.
mice in the drains and walls, roaches, weekly painting smell, no help with broken appliances. now they are listing studios for way more than they are worth.
location is good everything else is terrible.

Edit to respond to reply: the only thing you have done to make it better is repaint the front, redo the doorway and hallways and remodel the empty appartments. How does that benefit the current residents at all? You just want to be able to sell these for 125% of my rent.
I put my notice to vacate in a couple weeks ago so fixing the things I asked the last company to fix wont do any good.
Seems like most people have moved out recently.

I will say, Cornerstone maintenance is on point. I submitted a maintenance request this morning about my heat being out, and within 2 hours, Noah was here and the problem was fixed. He took extra care to keep my place clean too. Now my place is already nice and toasty once again.

I m a new resident with Cornerstone apartments and I just wanted to give a shout out to James Galloway. He came by to do grounds work around my building and he was so friendly and did a fantastic job! It was a great first impression and a very welcoming experience.

Working with Calley and the leasing staff was wonderful! The stress of moving is real. But when the building contractors delay your move in it's even more stressful (not Cornerstone's fault). I could have easily left and found a new place, but I was so impressed by Calley's communication every step of the way that I held on. I know it was the right decision. I love my new home. Thank you Calley and the rest of the Cornerstone team!
