The lesser of the evils of property management companies. Maintenance was timely on their responses, almost always had them come within 24 hrs.
Had issues with the homeless camping out in the back of the building, our building manager got a gate installed, but never put a lock on it. Rent seemed higher than other properties.
The Stanley: Storage lockers are not secure mine and probably 5-10 others have been broken into within the span of a month and they refuse to install cameras or any other type of security measures. There was a multiple apartment sewage clog that was not fixed over the weekend because it was not considered an emergency (on weekends you have to pay out of pocket for anything not considered an emergency- and apparently a toilet not working is not an emergency) so I had to use the bathroom at Dazbog for 3 days. There is a plethora of dumpster divers who don't bother me personally but could be a security concern. The lock box outside of the building was broken into and locks were not replaced immediately (took 3 days during which time some random person had access to the apartment building). Apartments are not sound proofed at all (can hear every conversation the people above me have). I can also smell cigarette smoke and sometimes paint fumes coming through the air vents in my apartment. The lease says cornerstone isn't allowed into my apartment unless they give me 3 days notice (excluding emergency situations) and this has not been complied with every time. Although things have been more drama free recently, I am basically only staying here because I have to finish out my lease or pay double my rent to move out early. Think twice before leasing with cornerstone, their offices are nice and they seem nice when you're signing your lease but then hang you out to dry once you're in and the people who response to these reviews twist your words to make themselves look good.
I've only had pleasant experiences with Cornerstone. I've submitted a few maintenance requests recently and they were quick to respond and effective every time. Daniel Carrasco, one of the maintenance personnel, recently repaired my stove and even sent me a personal email showing his handiwork with detailed images - I was impressed!
