I was brought there straight from the hospital after having bone surgery...There was no wheelchair to receive me. I was a "FALL RISK" but the staff had absolutely no knowledge of my situation. I was supposed to have my left leg and foot elevated and iced at all times. I had to beg for ice and elevate my own leg. I waited over an hour when I pressed call button to go to bathroom I sat in my own urine several times crying. I had to call front desk when my call button wasn't answered. When I complained to management, the staff begin to retaliate and distance themselves from me. One of the night aids lost patience and called me names as she left my room. I got on my knee scooter and followed her down the hall and heard her bad mouthing me to front desk nurse. Also my bed malfunctioned and I was stuck folded inside for over and hour because call button didn't work. Bed had to be replaced and it took forever. I asked to be transferred to another facility after only 6 days. It was a nightmare. (PT staff is exempt. they were excellent) .IF YOU HAVE LOVED ONES YOU CARE ABOUT PLEASE GO ANYWHERE BUT THIS GOD AWFUL PLACE...RUN TO THE NEAREST NEXT BEST THING

Hands down, the best long term care facility in a 30 mile radius of the Akron area; attentive staff, more than edible food (that's a big one if you're going to be there a while), decent WiFi (again, that matters over time), caring therapists... I spent a few months there last year & would happily go back tomorrow if the situation called for it.

I would have given them 0 stars, but wanted everyone to know that the PT staff there is excellent. As for the so called "nursing" staff, they never leave the post behind the desk, have conversations, put on makeup and type on the Computers. Ignore you when you are standing out in the hall wondering why no one has answered my 96 year old Fathers page for 45 minutes. He could have been lying on the floor and no one seemed to care. Would like to thank Angie and Helen however, the nurses aids that are the exceptions. Also, they have no communication with the families regarding updates on their care and PT. The "social case worker" that I finally was able to reach told me "well it goes both ways, you can call us"....believe me...I tried. When he was previously at Bath Creek, they called every other day with an update and called 1 meeting per week to discuss progress and problems. I would not recommend Copley Heath Center for these reasons and more, they have patients that desperately need their attention but do not seem to care.

Beautiful lobby. I was impressed with how clean this place was. Most facilities are not as clean as this one is. Beautiful skilled unit. The building is well-maintained.The floors are kept clean, waxed and buffed to a nice shine. Most of the staff is friendly. Most of the night shift aids make sure their residents are well cared for. I met two night shift nurses who are awesome. All in all...caring night shift staff.

One evening, out of the clear blue, one very hostile day shift STNA approached me. It was crazy. Drugs? Day shift STNAS are not particularly friendly. No excuse for their crazy behavior.

Most of the Residents seemed happy and said that they enjoy living at this facility. I would recommend Copley Heath Center to those of you looking to place a loved one in a clean well-maintained nursing home that provides quality care.

If i could give no stars I would. They obviously don't care about their patients due to the fact that my grandmother was a patient there, who had fell. They were to monitor her throughout the day and the night, which they failed to monitor her throughout the night causing them to find her unconscious the next MORNING. Now her family is just awaiting to see if she will wake up. Had they been watching her as they should have, this situation may have been avoided.

I am so thankful for all the staff that work at this facility. They provided excellent care and customer service. The facility is always clean and cheerful. Everyone there seems to really love the work they do. I can't say enough nice things about it. If you ever need to a nursing facility you would be extremely fortunate to get in this one.
