I worked there for 6 months management is horrible no type of management at all the first place I ever worked at where there is no grace period you get written up for being one minute late is awful. Also I was in the dietary department I repeat do not work in the kitchen there the manager is rude and disrespectful flirts with every employee he can wouldn t recommend bring a female around him he plays favoritism expects you to work nearly 90 plus hours a week. Overall the residents are nice just poor management and they don t show that they really care about there residents or employees.

Wayside Farms offers much more than just a paycheck. This privately owned facility creates a feeling of truly being part of a family. The support from management and the team approach is obvious from day one. Knowing that my work is appreciated and I am able to make a difference in the clients lives everyday is very rewarding.

I have been a nurse for ten years and I am currently in school for my bachelors. I attended clinicals here and was thoroughly impressed. From management to faculty to ancillary staff - everyone - truly showed that they wanted to be there and knew every patient like the back of their hand. The staff seemed like a little family and I never heard a single person complain. The facility was extremely clean, residents were WELL taken care of and they have PLENTY of activities to keep them engaged. I have worked in 3 different nursing homes (2 having perfect state surveys) during my career and this is BY FAR the cleanest and most professional nursing facility that I have EVER seen. They truly are a one of a kind facility and have excellent patient care. 100% recommend.

This place is unique compared to other facilities....

This place is unique compared to other facilities. They accept clients for who they are and are willing to provide care and dignity for clients who have serious mental illness or other issues. They have many daily activities and they encourage clients to make positive choices to earn points. There is a behavior modification program in place with the points. When clients have extra points they can turn them in for special extra items like extra hats, special soaps, cute puppy socks, make up, books, etc. This place is unique because it serves a different type of population that would otherwise not have a successful place to go. The culture and management is changing in a positive direction. They are upgrading the building and supporting staff members. It is an exciting time to be at Wayside. You will fall in love with the residents. It takes a special type of person to work here, someone who understands and empathizes with people with mental illness. They also offer training to all employees.

I really enjoyed working with my team Wayside Farm...

I really enjoyed working with my team Wayside Farm. There are so many positive changes happening to ensure the residents meet their fullest potential. This includes Life skills classes, on-site job opportunities and an exciting, professionally run activity program. The management provide training on-site to ensure the entire staff team continues to provide high quality care. My favorite part of my job was really getting to know all the residents and giving them real opportunities to build on their strengths. It was great to be a part of the team at Wayside!!!

Awful Nursing Home. Overall poor environment. The atmosphere is not warm and inviting. It's basically like a prison for the workers and more so for the residents. There's an extremely high turnover rate in all departments.

Craziest place I ever worked but you'll love the residents they are so funny. Management and how they run things could be better pay could be better. But overall its not a bad place. Just bring some boxing gloves, a mouth guard and a shield
