There is nothing like waiting for your "dinosaur" of an AC unit to die and then it finally does in June. Frantic, we called around and only Coolray was able to come out immediately. A new AC/Heating unit was installed by Ron Smith in record time. Ron and his assistant talked us through the install and cleaned up the very messy job in the attic, hallway and living room. Ron left his cellular number in case we needed anything. This had to be the easiest major home improvement that we have undertaken yet. There is no way we could have done it without Coolray's amazing customer service. Thanks Ron, you have a customer for life!

I was well pleased with the total operation of Coolray. From the time I made the appointment online, I was called in a short period of time and given a time frame that the technician could be expected to show up. Once he arrived, he immediately delved into the situation. After examining the operation of the system, he came up with a solution. I would recommend this company and I would not hesitate to use them again.
Jeremiah did my spring maintenance and was very thorough & efficient. He explained all that he did and gave his recommendations on any concerns he found. He wore a mask and gloves and kept his distance. Very satisfied customer and thank him for coming out at this crazy time.
Most disrespectful and racist company in the Atlanta Metropolitan area!!! There are many other options out there to use and you won't be treated with disrespect or told lies to. This company also broke a key part in my furnace and wanted me to pay to have it fixed!

Instantaneous...... or nearly so. From the time I called them to get a bid to replace and relocated my entire system until the job was completed (with a call back on a Saturday for operator error, not equipment or installation problem), they were committed to getting us cool again. They had a salesman, (Bobby), out within hours of our first call and gave us what turned out to be the bid to compare everyone else by. We called back late the next day after getting 12 other bids, accepted their bid, and e-signed the contract after 5 and they STILL had a crew out first thing in the morning to start.
Our installation team, Matt and Jordan, seemed to take the fact we had no AC personally and they worked way harder than one could expect to get us cool again. Their knowledge and expertise are exceptional and their dedication to customer satisfaction is beyond belief. Matt explained everything he was doing and asked extensive questions make sure everything would be exactly where we wanted and how we wanted.
I messed up something on the thermostat the same night after they finished and couldn't get the unit to turn on, since it was after midnight, I called the next day, at 7:30 am on a Saturday and Dennis was at my house and *fixed* my problem by 9:30AM (and they are about an hour away).
Overall, I was very impressed with the technician. He was prompt and professional. Got a call letting me know he was on the way. The only thing I would have liked was for him to go over the findings with me. But they were easy enough to read and thank goodness everything was fine. I recommend this company. Leah at the office was very helpful as well.
Our a/c went out Thursday and we looked all over for local businesses to come out and help but they were all booked up to Monday. Not wanting to be hot for 4 days in 90+ degree weather I decided to try Coolray (thinking since they were a larger company they would be more expensive and less friendly). It was such a wonderful decision! Booking online I got a call in about 20 minutes to confirm my appointment, the receptionist was wonderful. Our appointment was between 3 and 6. Tim Simmons called us about 3 and told us he was on the way. Tim was awesome. He worked quickly and efficiently and got us back up and running in about 30 minutes. He was so kind. To top it all off the price was very reasonable. Thank you Tim and Coolray for a wonderful experience!

The best experience I could've had. From my salesman Scott, to Robert doing the install. Very professional and knowledgeable. Robert explained and showed me all the things I needed to know to run my new system. He set up my thermostat, which I love. The comfort level of my home is the best it's ever been in 27 years. Coolray just installed a new 2 Ton Carrier unit at my house.
They were scheduled to come out at 9:00 AM on a Monday and were there promptly and had the unit installed quickly and efficiently.
The outside unit was set level on a nice new pad. The lines were insulated and the electrical was all bundled neatly. They installed a sheet metal cover over the line set and drain line which, was a nice touch and showed a nice level of attention to detail.
In the attic, they installed new coils in a new case, sealed everything with mastic and insulative tape on the line penetrations. They added a condensation line sensor and a drain pan float switch (neither of which were there on the original unit) to shut off the unit in case of a condensation overflow.
The install was very, very neat.
Coolray's quote was the second lowest. It ended up a few hundred dollars more than the lowest quote but over $1,000 less then the highest quote! I spent the extra money because I know that they will be around next year and that assurance combined with the backing of Home Depot made the extra expense worth it.
I could have saved money by buying the equipment myself and hunting for an installer but what happens when there is a problem and you can't find them to come fix their work? Peace of mind has a monetary value and this is part of the reason that I chose Coolray.
My unit has been installed for just over a week and I know that the test will be over the long haul. I rarely give 5 star reviews but, I could not be more pleased.

I just had a new AC unit and furnace installed over the week-end and it was first class service all the way. The 2 installers provided exceptional service, were very friendly, educational, and cleaned up both working areas. I would highly recommend Coolray Heating and Air for all cooling and heating services, which I have had since 2009.
Your man spent less than five minutes in my house. As soon as he was halfway up the ladder into the attic, he said he saw the problem. It was a switch of which I was unaware. An exterminator was in the attic the day before, turned the switch off and forgot to turn it back on. She showed it to me so if there is a net time, I'll know. Friendly, cheerful and knowledgable. A true professional.
My tech was professional and forthright in explaining my options. I was very happy with the ease of scheduling and how quickly I was able to get an appointment for service. I will definitely use Coolray in the future.

Desmond Sellers was very professional and knowledgeable. Before he came to my house, he called to let me know he was coming along with a text of his photo and credentials. When being 8nvited into my home he shook my hand and told me who he was. Later he check all parts on air condition system as well as replace filters and other needed items. After completing his task he sat down and explained everything he had done. Therefore I give him a 5 star performance.
A Service Tech from Mr Plumber repaired a leak in the water pipe leading into my home. He was great - knowledgeable, friendly, professional. He also put my yard back the way he found it. Appreciate the attention to detail.
I have been with Cool Ray many years business and personal. I want to say thank you for always a pleasant experience in both setting appointments and the techs who come out to do the inspections/ repairs. Joshua was recently out to my home and he was great!
My issue was misdiagnosed and I ended up paying $245 only to have them have to come back out 5 days later to re-diagnose the issue. Turned out I had a bad relay on the blower board, which I was able to fix/replace myself for $75. Ultimately Coolray charged me $245 to diagnose that I had a $75 part go bad, which I had to replace myself (Coolray said it would be about $700 for them to replace!) UPDATE Reached out to Coolray who is crediting my charge and sending out another serviceman since it does not appear to be the board thats faulty (system still not working). So at this point the review is weighted more toward their great Customer Service. If they can get my system running again they will get that 5th star as they will certainly have earned it.
Never have I ever had to deal with such confusion. We went to home depot for supplies to be stopped by a represent about 29.00 service for our home. The first guy came out, fine to figure out days later my system stopped working. I called upset of course and they said they would send someone out. That tech called us last night saying that he was at an engagement and he may not be able to come by. How professional. Thank God the calls are monitored so they heard it and sent out a field manager. Now please dont get me wrong, Siomon was awesome and after different attempts, my heart is on. Now 20 mins after he left we cut it off and went to be, it was late and realized that my system never cut off. Woke up to 78 degrees in my home. I'm not sure what's wrong with this company but as I told them, I would NEVER recommend

HVAC scams are becoming a thing of the past with companies like Cool Ray leading the way with great customer service and legitimate service warranties.
We have two homes that Cool Ray services. Cool Ray installed a new AC & Furnace in our rental home and we have a LIFETIME warranty... yes, lifetime. No parts, no labor, just the annual maintenance cost which is approx $150 a year.
We also have a new construction where our builder would not allow us to use Cool Ray (unfortunately). Although our system is just over a year old, our lines froze due to a Freon leak cause by a bad weld. Paul communicated every detail very clearly without speaking negative about the company who originally installed the system showing a great deal of professionalism. Paul didn't have to say it but I will - our builder contracted a lousy HVAC company to install our systems and now Cool Ray has to come fix the mess. I'm not happy about paying for repairs but at least I know they will be warrantied by a reputable company.
The experience was great! The Service gentleman, called and let me know when he was on his way! You don't see that anymore from other Companies! Before I called Mr. Plumber; I called Down 2 Earth Septic and Plumbing! Mr. Joshua told me to pour vegetable oil down my bathroom and tub drains. I got a second opinion when I called Mr. Plumber; he gave me good advice . He was caring and knowledgeable! I am keeping Mr Plumber in my contact list; I will call you for all of my plumber needs. I will definitely refer you to my family and friends! We need more honest companies like Mr. Plumber! Thanks again!
Clay Waller came last week to do our usual AC maintenance. He noticed that our capacitor was pretty old and rusty and suggested we replace it proactively. He also noticed a problem with our drainage line. Our existing line was poorly installed and we had some clogging issues in the past (looks like a DIY from a previous owner). He was able to fix our drainage disaster so we would be less likely to have an issue again. I feel that for the work he did and the time he spent, it was worth the money.
I really appreciate the proactive fixes so that I don't get stuck without AC this summer. Thanks!
The whole experience was great, my first work request somehow got lost in the system, but I called back and they everyone I spoke to was extremely courteous and Brian came out very soon after for my estimate, he was extremely informative and punctual. Zach and Jared came out this morning right on time, they were awesome, answered all my questions and did a great job. I barely even knew they were. I'll recommend this company to everyone.
My AC heat pump unit is only a year old. But so far everything is great. Coolray has sent technicians to home 2x for annual service only, and they have always been on time, or earlier. They are very thorough, and always clean up after themselves. I would recommend this company to anyone that has or might have to change their house AC unit. I am happy with my choice, the Carrier unit is very quiet, and keeps my electric cost down as well as cool the house off nicely. Never have a variance in room temps in any room. Love it CoolRay, I am very happy with my choice. Keep up with the good work.

Although the work was done on-time and to standard, Cool-Ray never sent out a company manager to inspect the completed work, and never provided a copy of the completed invoice. The lose a star for a lack of follow-up
Beware!! A friend of mine called CoolRay for a furnace repair when they got the quote they were extremely higher than another company. Now coolray is threatening to call city inspectors for improper install for the other company! If you don't use their services they call the city inspectors on other companies. Yes, the system is installed correctly, yes they are certified, yes they are professionals..and yes they are wayyyyyyyyy cheaper! No way will we EVER use Coolray if they throw 3yo temper tantrums for not using their services!
The entire installation team was professional and cordial. They explained what they were doing the entire time and involved us in the installation as I asked. Could not be more satisfied with the entire process.

Expensive. I feel as a women and being that technician got to make commission we are always being ripped off. 1day you pay $700 next day you pay $800 and heat still isn't blowing hot.. sick to my stomach.

We noticed that our A/C had stopped working late in the afternoon on Tuesday, 6/17/14. Called and scheduled an appointment for the next day. On Wednesday, received a call from Kirk Newton (A/C Tech) that he would be here within 15 minutes of our appointment time. He arrived in less than 10 minutes, diagnosed and corrected the problem within minutes. Kirk also performed the required service of our system which we had previously scheduled. Our home inside temp had risen to 84 degrees. Kirk was very professional, knowledgeable and concerned. He had our home cooling down within the hour. Comforting to know that when you call with an A/C problem, it will be handled by a professional like Kirk Newton. Thanks Kirk!

My technician was on time and very courteous. It was a vacant condo unit that we were servicing as the final conditions of a sale. Gene explained all of the issues and relative costs. I felt he was completely honest and performed the work quickly and efficiently. There was no "up-sell" which is sometimes an issue. Totally satisfied.

He was patient, professional and very pleasant to have in my home. He took the time to explain the issues affecting my system and was generous in answering my questions.

Mr. Plumber has done an excellent job on all repair jobs that I have needed since I purchased my hoime that was built in 1920. We just finished a job working with Joseph Ewing and Tim Penley. Our job was replacing much of the original cast iron sewage pipes and exterior terra cotta lines to City of Atlanta sewer system. Pricing was competitive, did a good job letting me know status and good clean up after work was completed.
I am glad I am doing research. I have taken a quote from Mr. Plumber and another company. Mr. Plumbers quote is a little lower but I am hesitant to proceed after reading all the bad reviews.

Shawn was amazing! He came out on a very hot Saturday and quickly identified my problem, which was my A/C had completely failed. He also told me although my furnace was working, when it did fail it would be more costly to repair it at that time , rather than replace both pieces of equipment, now 15 years old, at the same time and why. He then contacted and connected me with Andy Bowen, a comfort consultant (i.e., a sales person), who came out within a very short time on the same day to discuss my options and what parts of my system did not have to be replaced.

The technican was courtesy and professional...he did a great job troubleshooting my hvac problem but I thought the price he presented to me was way overpriced , I have a hvac background myself and know it doesn't cost $1350.00 to install a condenser fan motor and a capacitor , so I refused the service.
Roger has been our technician for many, many years. We trust him to keep our HVAC running smoothly and efficiently. He is aware that we have an elderly person in our household and keeps us up-to-date on new features to keep our senior mom comfortable at all times.

Had an appointment today and they never showed up and not even called to let us know what's going on. I called Customer Service and the rep stated their was a booking problem. I told him I received a confirmation call the day before. If there was an issue then I should have received a call to reschedule. The rep couldn't give a proper explanation for this. On top of this all, we have a contract with them. Horrible Service!
Tom W. is the professional plumber who immediately showed up in a HOLIDAY WEEK the day we found the horror of our bathroom leak. It can't be stressed enough that Coolray Heating, Air, Plumbing, and Electrical is a FULL SERVICE organization who deployed an experienced professional to our home.
Tom came in with his knowledge, expertise, and diagnostic gear and found the problem right away. He was able to help us prevent further damage, and provide us with the recommendation to find insured/bonded experts who could help with the damage the leak had caused. And, he gave us a realistic estimate for what the plumbing repair would cost.
Tom was very clear with his explanations, showed us what plumbing repairs and materials were going to be used, and then gave us "breathing room" to make an informed decision (not to be confused with our fear we might resort to using scuba gear to get through the dining room that suffered the "water" below).
All comedy aside, Tom's estimate and repairs were spot on. He was amazingly kind and truly a professional in every sense from knowing the urgency of our need for help, to his expert abilities in spotting the problem and taking care of it as efficiently and quickly as possible.
Plumbing, heating and air, and electrical are all specialty fields that should be handled by licensed/certified professionals. Tom W. is the kind of person any home owner would hope for if their home ever had one of these needs.
this was the first time in almost 10 years that we had to call for an a/c repair. The techs did not try to sell me anything not necessary. the first visit identified a potential problem and the a/c ran for about 18 hours afterward. the second visit identified the problem being a small switch which when it got hot it started to fail this switch was immediately repaired. the third visit was just to put the whole system together again. Cost? minimal. since we have our service policy with them, the total coast was less than $200. Cannot argue that.
My service man was very nice and courteous, he had to add 2 lbs of freon, when I asked if he checked for leaks, he said that he did not find any, that it might be coming from the coil. When I asked if he checked the coil, he said that he did not, and did not bother to go back and check it. It was late in the afternoon and he had two more calls, I think he may just have been in to much of a rush to get done for the day.
Kirk Newton was my Tech. He arrived on the promised time to service my 2 units. He found several small maintenance problems that could have cost me later and repaired them. He was very courteous and professional. Coolray replaced my units 8 years ago and I have never hesitated as to call for service or repair. I will definitely continue to be a satisfied customer.
The problem was with the wiring from the thermostat to the AC. It had been severed. The technician, Patrick, looked at the old wiring and took the time to replace it rather than just do a quick splice. I was very glad to see him take the extra time to try to make sure the problem wouldn't occur again. To many people never take the time to do things right, Very nice technician and good repair job and VERY happy to have AC again
