Currently watching the security guard walk up and take drinks off the tables of people who just walked away to go dance. Can basically predict the eviction of people who are having fun!! Lacking professionalism from all angles, otherwise would be a good spot!

Poor service and rude staff. Very disorganised wait staff.

Overpriced food. Limited selection. Flat selection of beer. Empty wine menu. Some nice staff, but the majority are just going through the motions. Enforces a no hat dress code after 9pm like it's night club. Cater to the crowd and just be a relaxed surf pub. Your customer satisfaction will reflect that.

Fantastic. $15 rump steak was great. Quick service, friendly staff and medium rare steak was actually medium rare. Definitely going back.

Had to pour 1/2 oil off my salad to be able to eat it. Read fine print about $1 oysters

Food is average, service is mediocre, security are not all too nice and the prices for beer are pretty pricey considering it s just a pub! There are way better places in coolie!

Great pub, location and food. Always busy. Great place to have lunch and watch the world go by.

Had a nice dinner and staff were good. Left straight after dinner. Then when we left it was raining so we stayed under shelter and ordered a taxi. The security guards told us to leave or they would call the police. They made our family feel like criminals. It was quite upsetting.

Best during the week or on weeknights. Can get very packed on Friday and Saturday nights with long queus and is known as a bit of a trouble spot at those times.
Meals are reasonable but a bit overpriced except for the specials.

Rita and I enjoyed the cold beers but not the cost 2 midies $12.

Ribs, awesome! Coffee, excellent! Value, great!!! Customer service??? Needs work. Know the difference between an espresso and a long black. And never tell the Customer they were wrong.

would have been better if the smoking section was not so close to the non smoking section. trying to enjoy the view and the meal at the outdoor seating was difficult with smoke blowing our way all day/night.

The Coolangatta hotel is an old Hotel located on the corner of Marine Parade in Coolangatta
The pub tends to attract a bogan type crown and they often have events booked in upstairs with live bands. It's not an overly impressive place it's very casual and attracts a rather ordinary crowd

Great "pub" atmosphere, staff are always friendly, prices are reasonable, couple of pool tables, pokies, upstairs "special band room" for performing acts, two main rooms: front room usually with a live cover band and fun crowds and back "nightclub" room for a bit of a late night dance. Obviously Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest nights. Have noticed Saturday night is usually the busiest night, but Friday night is usually "RNB Fridays" in the "club icon" nightclub in the back room.

It's a good place to have a casual afternoon drink but gets way to crowded at night so unless you get in early you won't be able to get a decent table to sit at and even then it's a nightmare trying to get served

Nice place until late night on the weekend when all the rough crowd get a bit obnoxious.

I order a medium rare steak and it came burned like a coal and tasting smoke... I couldn't eat. At least, I had my money back.

Food is awesome venue is a nice place to hang out have a feed and drink and the location is great across the road from the beach. Would recommend to anyone they also have many great gigs which sadly I'll be missing crooked colour play there but looking forward to checking out some future gigs.

Great location but because it has a bar underneath it can become a bit Boosey at nights with live music playing

BEST PLACE! lovely staff. tall brunette who made my RED LIPS cocktail was the best chick. they accomodated a family of 5 at a moments notice. BIG THUMBS UP. great atmosphere. thankyou. food YUM!

A great pub close to the beach and The Strand in Coolangatta. Good for a bite to eat for lunch and a drink on a sunny day. The menu is decent quality pub food, quite varied so there is something for most tastes and reasonably priced. Friendly staff, good customer service and plenty of seating when we went there.

Good music, good vibes.... But where is the calamari, I mean it's right on the water come on.

Security here are egotistical and unwelcoming. Patrons treated like drunk hooligans upon sober arrival. Very disappointing for families on holidays.

Nachos with pulled pork are not worth it they are super dry and once you have no sour cream or guacamole its just like eating dry corn chips

Theres something in the air along the strand of Coolangatta, nice ocean views coupled with simple yet delicious menu choices. However you lose a star for the mens room being a warzone.
