I'd been looking for a Ruger Blackhawk, blued steel, Single Action revolver in 45 Colt for some time. I decided one day that I would drive the 70 miles up to Fresno and stop by The Range to see if they had one in stock or if they'd order me one.

I told the young man behind the counter what I was looking for and the first question he asked was "is it California legal?" Well, if he works in a gun store, he should know by now which types of firearms are on the restricted list but I was kind to him and said "Yes."

He went to the computer and asked me what barrel length I wanted. I told him and after a few seconds he told me the gun didn't come in the length I wanted. I knew different and asked him if he was sure. He turned the computer screen to where I could view it too and triumphantly showed me a STAINLESS DOUBLE ACTION RUGER REDHAWK...

I told him to have a nice day and walked out.

Always lanes available to shoot in, and the staff is very helpful with any questions you may have.

Nice people for the most part, they could use some people skills , a bit snobbish and into themselves, not super helpful. That requires talking to customers....

Love this place. It's my sanctuary. The guys are great and extremely helpful. They had answers to all our firearms questions

The Range- "it is impossible to do a out of state transfer of a firearm into california, between a non resident and a resident. It has to be 2 current California residents."

The Fireing Line and Sportsman Wearhouse- "We would be happy to do it for you it is called a interfamilia transfer and it is about $100. Please call Tuesday to speak with the person who does those."

I have listened to the employees at The Range belittle customers and provide false information on several occasions. I dont know exactly, the law, but I dont think the emlloyee is giving me proper information. If you are a professional FFL dealer and you should know the laws and rules. If you cant do anything but sell me guns and take my money for you range then I dont need to keep doing business with you.

Rude staff, the ones I talked to anyways. No military discount unless a member. And very expensive to use the range or rental guns. I spent 70 dollars to shoot 50 rounds with one rental gun with my wife. Absolutely ridiculous.

Great customer service!! I purchased a Glock 19 for $599. It handles well. Will be buying more in the near future.

They have a good variety of handguns. MOST of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is an individual that has a smart ass reply for every question that he's asked. Just for example he will shut you down when you have a question that isn't specific instead of asking a question to help you figure out what you need. It seems like he just isn't a people person. Maybe he should be working in the back sweeping up the casings. Besides him everyone else has great communication skills. The price of ammo is kind of high but not outrageous. The restrooms are clean and for me that's a must. Gun prices are a tad bit below other gun shops in the area. Not by much but a bit lower. The prices of accessories are somewhat high compared to other shops I've been to. However, overall the selection is great.

They do discrimination and bullying. If they don't like your race, skin color or the way you look like they're going to red flag you & tell you to leave. staff member are making fun of boy about how he walks. I send email to owner and complaint about it but didn't get any response back.

Put in some vacation time and cleared he rest of my schedule to take a beginners course only to show up and the instructor not be present. It will be months before I can get another free night like this. Im beyond disappointed. Figured this would be the next step after getting my FTC.

I brought 2 friends from overseas to spend some time at the range here and it was more than I could have hoped for. Not only were the staff friendly and fun, they were knowledgeable about the firearms. My friends had a fantastic time and I was able the perfect 9mm I was looking for.

Overall I had great service and great afternoon shooting. I would go back in a heatbeat.

On another note if you have the chance to shoot the 500 they have, do it!

Staff is helpful. Some even kicked me down some free guest passes. Many lanes to shoot, no wait. The instructors from The Police Institute next door sometimes drop into the range and give shooters some advice. I like how well the staff is big on safety. They will let you know this, especially if you're reckless. I've seen someone get there rental taken away since all the shooter wanted to do was get pictures of himself and muzzle flashed people while doing it. Anyways, I was an annual member, but haven't renewed because I live on the other side of town, closer to another local range. I'll try out the closer one, since I haven't been there yet, but my bet is that I'll renew my membership with The Range again.

Great shooting range. Helpful staff, I drive an hour to shoot here. Lee is freaking awesome. Good man willing to help any out. Same for Greg.

Nice variety of guns to practice with. The classes there are decent.

2 people 3 different hand guns 4 boxes of ammunition 3 shooting targets $144 but customer service was nice they gave me a discount. Fun first experience I really recommend it just be aware of how much ammunition you get.

CCW renewal class was excellent. Great instruction from very knowledgeable instructors. I'm glad I chose The Range to recertify.

I'm shocked to have to write this review, but after having the worst customer service of any store, I feel obligated. I would rather have my collection confiscated by CA then give them any more business. Three generations of customers but no more!

The Range is a solid indoor shooting range. They have a decent selection of pistols and ammunition for purchase. They also partner with the Police Science Institute who provide great self defense courses. The staff at The Range are informative and accommodating. The ammunition is definitely overpriced but hey, this is America and they are free to charge whatever price people are willing to pay!

Great place to purchase a weapon, and nice indoor range.

This was my first time at any gun club and to be honest it was a great choice. Me n my buddies signed up for a membership and i dont know other prices but from wat im told we got an awsome deal. Staff was super friendly even to the point that we were cracking jokes. I've also taken a couple buddies with the free guest passes u get from your membership and they enjoyed there experience aslo. I would recommend you try this place out. Even if its just for a day.

Hands down home status! You walk in here and everyone who works here greets you like a family member. This was our first time at this range my little brother and I. I brought my own gun but they have a huge selection of guns you can rent I broke mine with 200 rounds and we loved every second of it. This is a place I will come now possibly for the rest of my life. Thank you guys at the range well appreciated. Recommend for all. Just don t be that guy!

There are many people working at the Range that are making you feel like a important person, thanks guys

-Don't go here for a private party transfer. These guys are paranoid for some reason, and look for any excuse to not do transfers.(including making things up)
-Prices are heavily inflated.
-The staff often acts like they're too good to even talk to you, but to be honest, you get that at almost every gun store.

Wonderful customer service. Great and amazing selection of firearms. If you are a law abiding citizen exercising your rights, this is the place to come. You can even test out the guns inside the range before you buy them. They even offer classes and instructors.

Great place over all friendly and they always engage if you need help.

Great place to learn to shoot and gain a real respect for personal firearms safety and defense.

Well organized with a great selection of products and their staff in knowledge, courteous and professional.

I recommend visiting them even if you don't have a firearm.

Just watch out for Bob .the staff is great . Oh and the building .Avoid this place in the rain the roof leaks. Rental guns are also nice.

First off, the staff here is very friendly and willing to help. My second time here and they were able to find my profile very quickly. It's a very nice and we'll kept place to visit. The prices are good as well but consider bringing your own ammo as here isn't very cheap. (DON'T BRING STEEL AMMUNITION) They don't allow steel here... Definitely a go-to place to go shooting. Also no rapid fire here :(

Been doing business with this facility for years.... knowledgeable staff...Ive delt with Bob numerous times... great guy.

I used to like this place alot. In the past 2 years I've noticed some things. I almost got shot on ladies night by a lady with a short top and large bust when a bit case flew in there. The range master was look. There used to be fat short prick that would ask me in front of customers if I bought my ammo from Pedro in the alley. Probably cuz I'm Hispanic in my late 20's.he was really to my brother in laws Caucasian gf though! I noticed he's not there. And my buddy has done 3 ppt there, always took an hour and a half. Crazy.

Helpful staff. Great for the serious gun geek, but fun for the beginner.

Great place took my 12 year old son for a father son day and our first time shooting and they are friendly and knowledgeable and helped us have a great time we both cant wait to go back

Loved my first time shooting here. Can get expensive though. 25 dollars for a 50 pack of 9mm bullets. 10 bucks to rent a gun, but you can switch the gun whenever you d like without paying again. 15 bucks just to GET IN.

This is the only place I go for some range time . The staff is almost always friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of guns, ammo, and gear at decent prices. The range is well lit , clean, and ventilated.

Great place to shoot a pistol. As for purchases I wouldn't buy much from them other than targets. The staff is mostly friendly. The prices are high.

Staff are great help from the new Beginner on up. You can rent a pistol and try it before you buy it. Gave my wife and I lots of Confidence learning there.

Good supply of firearms and rental firearms. Clean facility and knowledgeable staff. If you're on the west side of Fresno, this is a great place to shoot pistols.

Purchased a firearm, the firearm was having issues and after contacting sig sauer, I was advised the dealer must be the sender and recieve of the firearm when its shipped out to sig. The range refused to assist me in working out warranty paperwork stating "that would take my guy at least an hour" I've had the gun for less than a week. I'm Disappointed in how the range handled the situation as I've shot here and bought firearms here before. I've contacted another sig dealer who was willing to assist me in sending my firearm in for warranty work. I will be sure to tell friends and family about my experience. I will not be making any further purchases here again.

I had the rudest experience at the range yesterday. I went to go shoot with a friend of mine, we were there for about two hours. We went to the counter to get our IDs and the man throws our IDs at me when he finds out I was using guest passes. I guess because your company didn't make thirty dollars off me I'm not a customer. Why have guest passes if you are going to get mad when people use them? I'm not going to this range for a while.

Very professional staff on hand. They will answer any questions you have about firearms, ammunition or equipment. The facility is clean and every time I've been there, I felt really safe. The cost to use the range are reasonable and if you're interested in purchasing a firearm, you can rent it to see what's it like. This is a great place.

You guys are the best range in town!!! Its sad that i live in southeast fresno so its a far drive for me. I wish you guys where only closer.

They treated me like family even though I'm a newbie

The bald (shaved) headed guy working there seemed rather apprehensive. Had the look in his eye of a bigot. He seemed to be pre-judging a friend and I. It seems this is a liberal gun shop -meaning if you are not a cop then you are nobody worth their respect. I won't ever return to this place because of the look the guy who was supposed to sign us up for the range gave us. Much more respectful people at other ranges in the area that appreciate ALL gun enthusiasts. With all the recent attacks on our 2nd amendment rights, we need less jerks to keep us segregated and more unity. Which is why I miss the South and living in a Red State; and this remark is coming from someone not Caucasian... I don't mind a drive to another range even though this range happens to be about 10 minutes from my home for these reasons.

Probably the best indoor range around the Fresno, Madera, and Clovis area, a bit on the pricey side for ammo, but hey that's how they make the money.

Yesterday I been there staff was gud they provide nice guns I spend one hour there and I enjoy well nice and fully secured shooting range

Very good place to practice target practice, modern installation, I like it a lot.

Went with my friends to shoot. They have never taught how to shoot, so I taught them before entering the range, since people were shooting .50 caliber rounds (meaning it was extremely loud). They told me to do that in the range (Mind you I was in second room and aiming at a safe direction without a magazine in) ... I think safety is number one, and if my friends cannot hear me then the firearm could be used improperly. Communication is VERY CRITICAL when dealing with a firearm. Having ear buds or muffs on during the explanation is a STUPID way to teach a person with a firearm.

Recommendation to management. Either you explain to first time shooters how to use a gun, or allow someone to do it in a quite room. Safety should always be number one.
