Customer service in the public bar was appalling.. ordered an advertised beer at happy hour, barman poured the beer, went to ring it up, was grumbling that it should not have been advertised, then, took down the sign, poured the beer out and told me to choose from other beers that he indicated. Refused to even give me the he original beer.. saying he needed to put it down to wastage. Very rude and the worst bar service.. is it because I m a visitor?.. do they treat me he locals better? Been all over Australia and in many pubs.. got to be the crappiest service ever!!

It was open, live music. The female, near bar fight, was distracting, otherwise good fun.

Great views, staff member who served us was very helpful and friendly, only stayed for short time due to other commitments, could have easily kicked back and enjoyed more time here, was a rainy day and parking availablity was limited, plenty of parking available but this day it appeared to be a busy time.

Great pub, but the nightlife of Coolangatta in general seems to have taken a hit.

Service and staff was great. Meals for the three others I was with were good but the beef short ribs were dry and BBQ sauce was ordinary at best.

A pleasant experience but were charged $2 extra for replacing pepperoni with tomato.

Barramundi was disgusting. Definitely NOT Australian tough dry and tasteless

Great location, great beers at reasonable prices, plenty of pool tables, and really good pub food, we'll worth a visit if your in coolangatta and you're looking for a beer and a cheap meal

34 of us met in cooly from Sydney and new Zealand for a 60th birthday, went there for lunch on Saturday and thought it was awesome , most of us decided to go back on sunday afternoon to see the band, we had only been there for about a hour and a half before the afro gym junky bouncer decided my friend had too much to drink, and removed him , he had only 3-4 light beers, very disappointing, our age group was from 50 to 60 years old and were never going to cause any problems , funny how all the young girls were up dancing most the afternoon with glasses in there hands, security should be doing there job properly ,rather than trying to impress the young girls, we all decide to never go back. in saying this , the bar staff were very good and professional.

Great location right on the beach. Good food at a reasonable price. Try their combos or special offers. Great value. Kid's menu available with ample options. Seniors specials also available.

930 on a Thursday night and 3 other places all closed....just wanted a glass of wine while for guests delayed at airport

Hit or miss really, some nights are ok others are terrible. Bad attitude from security staff and atmosphere in the bar is only ok.

Huge and quite luxurious and way too many gambling machines. Kitche closed too early, service was extremely friendly and late night food only average. Didn't check out the rooms, probably not going to be back!

Been here last time as I'm a platinum member of Wyndham resorts kirra beach I be back Sunday for the radiators gig .. Bring me back to the 80s lol..or the playroom @ tallebugera for those who remembered the playroom days .... ;)

We had a bad experience we ordered Oysters Kilpatrick they where unedible. The presentation was bad and oysters where either over cooked and had a mashy texture also the bruchetta bread wasn't toasted properly and it too was soggy from too much bacon or ham i think, hardly any tomatoe or onion and a lot of a vinagret sauce of some sort..definately didn't look like bruchetta. Too scared to stay for our main meal so we left.

Lovely dinner of pizza and fish and chips. Not to noisy and food arrived quickly with no fuss.

Nothing really special about the meal. Typical pub grub. Although the prices were good as was the live music. But the service was excellent. Cheers to Fable. Great job. 10/10. Just across from the beach, out front is a great place on a sunny day for a beer and watch the people go by.

Nice toilets and motorcycle parking. Those are the only services that I availed

Excellent value for money. Stopped in for lunch on Boxing Day and had the Steak Sandwich with Chips and Salad. A free schooner of Summer XXXX included. Great value, great vies of the Pacific Ocean as well.

The setting is great and there were a couple craft beers to get you by. My concern was with the food and the lack of flare. Yes it was cheap but the meat patties in the burgers were quite small compared to the bun. The lack of a small side salad doesnt help either. There was nothing wrong with the food but a couple tweeks would really help.

POOR VERY POOR!
Just had another bad meal at the pub! My partner and I are locals and try to shop and eat locally, so a meal at the pub always seems like a good idea but recently the food has been falling big time. We ate there recently and it was not nice, but we thought it might be because of the holiday season although that should be all the more reason to serve excellent food! Thought we would give it another go BUT, I ordered a blue steak and got very well done (How hard is it to cook a blue steak?) on a plate FULL of chips and a salad I couldn't eat, so uninteresting. My partner ordered a chicken snitzel which was sooo small with watery mushroom sauce, resting on a plate FULL of chips and the same salad. After speaking with the wait staff and telling her how we felt, the chef never even came out to talk to us.

Sorry Cooly Hotel but you have lost 2 locals and we will never be back again!!! Hopefully nobody asks us about the meals served there as we will be only be too happy to tell them.

My son who has a disability went into pub tonight probably had taken him months if not years to get the courage to order a drink as he suffers from anxiety and gets abused by the staff for not being polite I now have months of trying to get him out again thank you so much. Would you have treated him like this if he had a physical disability I think not what is wrong with people

6 of us went for dinner on Sunday night, food was excellent. Staff were friendly and every order came out perfect. Live band was a bonus. Off to pokies for a little bit of fun. Staff member, Nicole had great customer service skills, cheerful and polite. Great night. Thank you. Will definitely visit next time we're on the coast.

Meals here are very decently priced, and serving sizes are great! Stopped here directly after getting off the plane and did not regret. Best meals I've had in a while

Visit this venue for dinner every year we come up and it never disappoints. Our recent visit was no exception. Chelsea greeted us, showed us to a table and also brought over something to entertain the kids without even asking. We then ordered and the food came out quicker than we had anticipated. The kids smashed their meals (cheeseburger, fish & chips), the wife had the salmon and I had the chicken schnitzel and both meals were delicious. We'll definitely be going back during this holiday!

I have to give credit where it s due... following my below review I was very surprised to actually have a response from the manager and the following day I had a phone call as well.
This is a clear indication to me that customer service and meeting customer s expectations is clearly important to them. Rick was extremely apologetic and we went back tonight to give it another go.
This time I absolutely couldn t fault anything and the food was just absolutely delicious, the chilli prawn linguine was to die for, so flavoursome and the prawns were so fresh...
The southern fried chicken burger was amazing and the kids again truly enjoyed the nuggets and chips.
We will definitely be going back again!!!

The place was fantastic and had a great atmosphere and beautiful location. We were welcomed with smiling faces and the customer service was great but unfortunately cannot say the same about the food.
The chicken schnitzel, nuggets and chips were great and I would eat them again.
The Slider tasting plate was absolutely disgraceful, the bread was so hard you couldn t even bite it. The fillings were just as inedible; the pulled pork slider can t even be described it was slimy and so Smokey, the chicken was tough chewy and dry, and beef was rock hard and had an awful after taste. The saddest part was I took it back, quietly shared my thoughts and feedback with one of the girls at the counter, she took the plate and said she d let the chef know, and that s where it ended. I didn t hear back from anyone at all, not even an apology.
The kids cheese burger was like eating a greasy sausage, we didn t even bother sharing feedback or taking it back.
It was our first time there so extremely disappointed with two meals being inedible and two people leaving hungry.

Bouncer with the afro hair style has a bad attitude and was quite rude. I understand he has a job to do but there is no need to argue with the patrons when we were just there celebrating after a wedding.

Just a bit low than the average pub. There are many better options not far in my opinion
