I made a big mistake going there,I registered in the Emergency room so I thought! The man that had taken my info did not complete the intake completely in too much of a hurry! Twenty minutes later a woman calls me up I'm thinking I'm going in the back oh no that's when I found out that the registration was never finished.another 4 patients come in they register 2 were elderly &2 were pediatric,I was just a woman witha headache I guess that is what was noted on the registration.Another 25/20 mins go by the infant & 16 year old that walked in 40 mins after me is called in.Now I wasnt happybut the baby I understood not the 16 year old that walked in with his mother.I was then told well they are pediatric uh!! .I guess my issue was enough to be taken back in the order you come in other then an Emergency I can understand that! At that point I left said I was going to Brick Hospital. Really upset! I will never go back to that hospital again!

Awful. Miserable nurses and doctors with an incredible lack of empathy for their patients. It was such a long visit for no reason. Especially since the doctor came into the room for 3 seconds and diagnosed me without actually checking anything.

Excellent emergency department. Very short wait in between check-in, triage and waiting to see a doctor or PA.
ED is very clean, and the registration person, nurses, patient sides, and doctor were all pleasant and helpful.
This visit was for a 12 year old with a badly sprained ankle. The wait for a transport to x-ray was short, and the x-rays were read within a few minutes. A plaster split was fit, and he was given crutches. We were given thorough discharge instructions. The entire visit from entering to discharge was less than 90 minutes. The staff provide excellent care to children.

This place is the pits. Parking on the roof as visiting hours begin because obviously employees park here. They should park on the roof, not visitors, as some have health issues like my mom. Valet parking not open at this time which would at least alleviate some of thus nonsense. When we came through emergency, once again no employee outside. It is an emeregency entrance. Someone should always ...even if a volunteer..be there waiting to help with a wheelchair or run to get help. My brother made it to the entrance 2 years ago and collapsed. No one outside so no one knew he was there. He may be alive today if someone..anyone..was outside to help in emergency. Horrible hospital. Go elsewhere if you can

I can only speak to the ER section, so I'm not sure about the other floors or specialties. The wait times at this place are absolutely atrocious. They are entirely too understaffed, regardless of the time of day.

If you come here, be prepared to be here for at least 5 hours.

the nurses and nurses were the be on floor 4. The cleaning people were in every day. floor 4 was unbelievable. Sandy,Nancy,Arora were the best. Craig, Robert were especially nice. My only complaint was the door. I picked one meal during my stay . I think it would be great if you figured out way for patients to select their meals for the day.

I m currently sitting at my boyfriends bedside post surgery and am astounded at how pleasant the experience has been here thus far. Everyone is nice, they actually seem happy to be here and are eager to help crazy, I know! After a stint at ocean medical last September, this day has been mind-bogglingly smooth.

From the ER to ICU to the Cafe this hospital is great. Even the staff in the Cafe treats guests well. The food there is so good, fresh and there are lots of options it doesn't sound important but when you're family is in the ICU and you can't leave for long, it's unbelievable that they would be open until 10 PM on a Sunday. The ER and Cath Lab saved my father in law's life and everyone else helped us cope!

Terrible experience. My girlfriend has an absess and has been in excruciating pain for the last 2 weeks. I took her in expecting to be in and out and with hopes of her getting it drained and/or getting antibiotics for it. Well we waited in an empty waiting room for over a hour for them to literally look at it and send us back to the waiting room for another hour. After the second hour they finally called her in and gave her a gown to put on and said they d be right back.... 45 minutes later, another nurse came in and looked at the absess. Another 30 minutes later the doctor came in and looked at it as well and finally decided to prescribe her antibiotics. My primary concern is the fact that she s been seen over 3 times and we ve waited over 3 hours for them to do literally nothing. Wouldn t recommend this place unless you enjoy wasting your time.

I live very close to this hospital. I have heart disease and have had several visits to their ER. It s always a bad experience. I always swear I will never go back. However, when you re having an episode and you re frightened you just want to get help ASAP. I m always sorry I go through those doors. I recently had a syncope episode while riding my bike and woke up in an ambulance which was just pulling into Community Medical Center. The first words I said was please, please turn around and take me to a different hospital. They did and I had very good, compassionate care and I hope I can say I will be able to have that option again if necessary. If you have a choice, do your research first.

My husband hobbled in with sever lower back pain. Meds he was given did not help, we were told no one could do a cat scan at this time so he was sent home. Came back the next day, given same meds which again didn t help but given a cat scan which told us what we already knew a herniated disk. Was told no one could give him a cortisone shot so he was again sent home and told to just deal with it. I begged a local orthopedist to see him on a Saturday who did and informed us the meds prescribed were the wrong dose for someone of his hight and weight. The orthopedist more than DOUBLED his prescription.

This place is THE WORST!!! And soooo unprofessional!! I told myself to go to brick hospital instead, but I would have never made it. So I sucked it up an came to community. It was so bad I ended up vomiting in the lobby waiting to be seen. Once I received a bed, I sat in this place for 6hours, just for them to tell me it was fibroids and they re going to discharge me, which I know it s NO WAY that s what s going on with me. Then I hear the nurses talking about me right outside my door saying Why is she still here?!? , discharge her already, and send her home! She had her ultrasound done we found nothing, I just don t understand why she s still here! The only person who showed empathy and concern was an RN named Lana. She listened to what I had to say, checked my vitals again, and looked over my results. She was getting a bit slammed by her colleagues for doing what she s suppose to be doing, putting the patients first.

My twins were born here. The staff was very friendly . I can t thank the nurses enough for getting me to the higher care area post c section . Also they stayed a week longer than me so after dc they answered all my questions and kept us updated at all times ( even when we called) . Thank you for a great experience !!

If you are not dying from anything when you arrive, they will do their best to try killing you.
Last year I was brought here by ambulance from an accident scene and I had too many issues to list here.
But today my wife went there as an out patient to receive a series of infusions. The infusions are to be done at intervals of one hour per day for five days. The technician was preparing to give her a single, FIVE HOURS infusion in one day!!
If you are not dying from anything when you arrive, they will do their best to try killing you.

The stars given in this review are ONLY for the ER NURSES. Everyone else gets zero stars. My mother was rushed by ambulance on Wednesday 7/19. It is FRIDAY 7/21 now and she still has not been released or admitted! We have been waiting for echocardiogram results. The Dr left yesterday without reviewing anythig. No one knows when he will look it be in or available. Transport was short staffed so our nurse, Evelyn (in the RDU), took my mother herself for tests. Evelyn TRIED her best to move things along and was met with one road block after another. The cardiologist, Tom Komoworski, does NOT take patients lives into consideration. We were visiting Seaside for the day when we ended up in this hospital. We are an hour and a half away from home . We have no clothes, tooth brushes, phones. No phone in the room. My mother has never been in the ER and this is a horrendous experience for her. Either get another (more) cardiologists or get ER docs who are able to read results. This is absurd!

This hospital is the worse hospital ever.. I don't understand how they are still operating. I had two aweful expierences. The first was when my uncle was rushed there because it was the closest hospital. He was very septic. He was recently released from St Marys for open heart surgery.. It took community 4 days to check his incision and by that time the infection ate away his sternum. They finally transferred him to St Marys where if it was any longer he would've been dead. The second one was yesterday. My brother was brought in via ambulance in a coma. The er doctor on call was the most ignorant unprofessional doctor I have ever encountered. He wasn't telling us anything. To be honest while I was sitting there for hours I Googled my brothers condition and symptoms and I got more answered from Google then that stupid doctor. The nurse he had her name was Liz was wonderful though. Whenever I asked her a question she answered to the best of her knowledge which was way more then the doctor. Overall horrible hospital

This review is specifically for the Infusion Outpatient team at Community Medical Center. For the last six months, I have been accompanying my husband to this hospital for his 2-3x month platelet transfusions. Our experience has always been more than satisfactory. The staff we have encountered have always been attentive and caring. In particular, we would like to commend Lucy Macenas. She is compassionate yet professional, patiently answering our queries and ensuring that my husband is comfortable during his sessions. There is really no bright-spot dealing with cancer, but we take comfort in knowing that there are people like Lucy who make this difficult journey a little bitt more manageable.

Every patient and their family members are complaining. Some have left. St. Barnabas has a lot if work to do in making this place a competent trustworthy health care center.

I have had severe asthma since I was 4 yrs old (I am now 25), I went there tonight because I was having problems breathing. The wait to be assessed was not long but once I went back they had me waiting for about 30 min. Once the nurse practitioner came in she had a terrible attitude and asked me what was wrong. I told her I was having trouble breathing and that I have asthma. She proceeded to tell me I didn't look sick and that I would have to explain further what was bothering me. At this point I got very angry told her she had an attitude problem and walked out. I called while on my way to soch and asked if I was going to be billed for that and they told me I was seen by the doctor therefore, I would be billed. I told them that I wasn't treated by the doctor and they said "the financial dept is closed". I then asked if there was a voicemail I could possibly leave a message with and as fast as the girl could talk she spit out an 800 number and an extension. I will NEVER go back to community ever again!!!! This was the most ridiculous experience I have ever had! I would suggest traveling to any other hospital in the area.

My father was in ICU due to a massive stroke. His RN, Melissa, took care of him, and us, as he was taken off life support for nature to take it's course. My 5 star rating is due to Melissa's professionalism and compassion. She went above and beyond to help us through that difficult day. Melissa was born to be a nurse and is an asset to this organization. I've read appalling reviews of this hospital but our thankfully short time there was exceptional. I hope you're able to dig into, acknowledge and correct the serious problems that exist. No hospital should have a 2 star rating.

I've been a patient in ICU, SCIP, and a few minor ER visits. I was a first responder and brought many a patient to the ER. I have been a visitor there, too. Except for the food in SCIP, I haven't the slightest complaint about service in any phase of their operation.

I don't care for this hospital. I've heard many horror stories & some good stories about this hospital. I was in their emergency room about 8 months ago with chest pains, stayed there from 8:00am---9:00pm had mucho blood drawn & various other test done, & thank God there was no heart damage. My stay there was too short to form an opinion but I would be careful & keep my eyes open if I ever had to go back there. All the hospital wants is your money & the Hell with you.

I have been unlucky enough to have stayed overnigh...

I have been unlucky enough to have stayed overnight in this facility, and cannot for the life of me understand how they have received any rating beyond a one.

Gynecological procedures necessitated major surgery. I have no complaints about the doctors or OR nurses, but it appears that the floor staff and this hospital have some kind of prejudice against providing ALREADY PRESCRIBED pain medication if you come in with chronic conditions that are unrelated to your current procedure.

Even though I suffer from TWO chronic conditions and take medications on a daily basis for them, the staff completely ignored this fact and left me 1) with totally inadequate pain medication (Read: NONE) and also the medicines that I take daily for my Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy.

After a total hysterectomy I lay for 4 hours in excruciating pain while the nursing staff claimed that they didn't have the dosage of my pain pills in their pharmacy. While common sense would dictate that two lesser dose tablets would equal the proper dose, even after consulting my surgeon, who gave instructions for me to get two pills at one time, I was finally given just one pill a total of two times during my entire post-surgical stay. The muscle relaxant and anti-migraine pills that I take on a daily basis were nowhere to be seen. The incompetence of this institution is appalling.

Previously when I stayed overnight to receive an IV antibiotic, I was given one muscle relaxant pill (I take 2-3 daily) and nothing else.

How this place passes accreditation is beyond me. Go somewhere, anywhere else. Especially if you take a narcotic for chronic pain control. You will be treated like a drug addict and allowed to lie in torture until you are released.

UPDATE:

A small piece of my husband's hearing aid broke off and got stuck in his ear canal. We went to the ER the next day as it was apparent that he was getting swelling and terrible pain when he pressed his ear. He was afraid the small piece would move even further so we went to Community before things got worse. (He usually is treated at the VA clinic but it was impossible to get in touch with anyone there). The wait wasn't bad but the ER physician who took care of him poked and prodded his inner ear so badly trying to get the piece out but gave up when his ear started to bleed. She sent him home with an antibiotic ear spray and told him to call an ENT doc.

Flash forward 1 1/2 days later. The ENT doc looked in his ear and said that is was, in his words, "mascerated and scrapped" by whoever had tried to get at the piece in his ear. It was infected, with bloody scabs and swollen to the point where he wouldn't even try to remove the piece until he could get the swelling down with medication.

The incompetence of Community doctors and others on staff is simply unbelievable. What should have been a simple removal of a foreign object may turn into something a lot worse because Community's doctor tried to do something she was totally incapable of doing.

DO NOT GO there. There is a reason why they have low grades all over the internet. They will be hearing from our attorney for the added damage, pain and suffering caused by her inept probing. This isn't a hospital, it's a butcher shop.

A member of my family has been in your hospital numerous times over the past year. The quality of care by your staff is the worst. My family member will need help and press the call button, but no one responds. Instead, you can find a group of nurses who should be taking care of patients somewhere down the hall laughing and talking. Also, your food is the worst on the planet. I don't understand how your cooking staff can ruin a grilled cheese sandwich, but they do. It's just cheese and bread -- I don't understand how they can't get that right. Why are the lights left on in a patient's room at night? How are people supposed to sleep? I've given you one star, but your hospital and employees don't even deserve that.

We were in the ER with my 97 year old father for 8 1/2 hours. He was brought by ambulance due to dizziness and disorientation. Tests were done quickly and it was determined that he be admitted. He had nothing to eat or.drink for over 24 hours and even though cleared to have food, it took many requests to get him a sandwich and juice. He had fallen prior to going to the hospital and had 2 skin wounds. It took 3 requests to have the one on his leg taken care of. (The one on his lower back was taken care of by the wonderful nurse when he finally got to a room in the middle of the night.) Also, while he was in the ER, he was given a container in order to urinate. The container remained in the room until we asked for it to be removed so it wouldn't spill over. It was a horrible experience. It really saddens me that I live in Toms River and need to go out of town if in need of hospital services.

Community Medical Ctr. nearly killed my brother. He was discharged to rehab and within hours he was catatonic. All medical staff at rehab were appauled at the condition he arrived in and said he never should have been discharged. Doctors at Jersey Shore (where he went following) were horrified he had been discharged. Dr. Patel who was his attending doesn't care about his patients. I am sickened at the care he received, I wouldn't take my dog there. Now I understand why everyone says don't go to Community Medical unless you want to die. Spend a few extra minutes in the car and go to Jersey Shore University Medical Ctr.

I had a family member who fracture their back this Saturday (L1). They had NO dr come in to talk to him, was not sent home with any care instructions, was told a ortho was going to stop in his room that night to talk about his fracture(we were on speaker when they told him this and the dr never came in) and NO BACK BRACE. Every ortho we have called when he got home said he should of been sent home with a back brace since HE BROKE HIS BACK. I will never recommend this hospital to ANYONE. They are only good for the maturity ward. That s it.

I recently went in for an arthrogram/MRI for my hip and it was a wonderful experience.
The arthrogram techs, Jaime and Mike were wonderful. Jaime was informative and caring and Mike was thorough and very respectful of my body during the more awkward parts of the test prep. Dr. T was thorough and to the point, which I appreciate during such a test.
When I went in for the MRI Corrine and Todd were great. They were caring and thorough during the entire procedure.
I also need to mention Ashley who took my blood. She was careful, quick, and friendly. She's very good at taking blood. I didn't feel it at all. Being called, getting to the back, the actual blood drawing, and going back to the waiting room took about a minute.
At no point while I was at the Community Medical Center did I feel like a nuisance, something becoming very common over the years when I've been to see medical professionals. I felt very well taken care of and felt safe the entire time. Thank you!

Was taken here by ambulance (while on vacation) because I was suffering from heart palpitations and had almost fainted in a restaurant. The nurses and people in the ER were very kind and helpful but the doctor provided no explanation or guess as to what happened. I was told that my EKG and blood tests were all normal, told to follow up with my doctor and was discharged. Back home, my doctor told me that my blood tests were NOT normal, Did anyone in CMC even review my tests? He sent me to a hospital on Long Island where I was admitted, given blood transfusions and treated for ulcers!

This is the worst hospital. The ER is completely inefficient and understaffed. You may need immediate attention, but do not expect to get it here. I am not sure how they can call it an emergency room when nothing is treated as an emergency. Also when you have a question or need something they ignore you at the front desk until you make your presence known. In 2018 it is unacceptable to have a hospital running this inefficiently and poorly. Whoever is at the head of this corporation should be ashamed of themselves.

My sister visited the ER a few days ago. She had multiple puncture wounds to the hand due to a dog bite. Several of the punctures were very deep and causing severe pain. In the ER the nurse and/or PA administrated a tetanus shot, sutured her wounds, and few other minor steps before my sister was discharged and referred to a hand surgeon. I m confident discharge instructions weren t given properly.

No blood test to check for infection, no pain medication to help manage her discomfort. L Over night she experienced severe pain and inflammation. She contacted this hospital and again she was refused pain medication and referred to a hand surgeon. She was told by a nurse there is nothing more the hospital could do for her.

Without going into too much detail, she visited another hospital, run by Meridian, where she s since been admitted for a severe infection and will remain for the next several days.

The quality of care civilians receive at this hospital is far below the standards that people seeking help are entitled to. Not only was she prematurely discharged but she was turned away the next day after informing the hospital staff of her pain and swelling.

Just to put this in perspective, national average of dog bites that develop infections are roughly 20%. That means for every 100,000 people bitten by a dog, approximately 20,000 of those people develop an infection. Talk about dropping the ball.

Due to their negligence, my sister could ve lost her life over a stupid dog bite.

Avoid this facility at all costs. If you re obligated to visit this place for whatever reason, immediately seek a second opinion from your PCP or another hospital.

This place is beyond horrible. Most of the nurses could care less about the patients due to the fact it interferes with their personal phone time while on the clock. The doctors leave a bit to be desired as well. If this is what s considered a hospital then this world is in sad shape. The corporate people who run this place should put their family and friends in here and then get a good nights sleep . If I could rate this experience at NEGATIVE 10 stars that would be much more appropriate. It s an absolute shame what the healthcare industry has succumbed to. Good luck to anyone who has to come in here.

I presented to CMC back in February when being dizzy for 5 days became worse, and not better. I came in after a shower; wet hair, cold and uncomfortable. Upon arriving, I was seen immediately, I didn t even have to take a seat in the lobby. I was given a private room, with blankets, from the heater!! The nurse was in quickly. First a flu swab, followed by a bunch of other testing. Dr. Giles made the decision to transfer over to RDU, where everyone continued to be equally kind. I was pending a consult with a neurologist and I was unsure that he was going to be covered by my insurance. I was stressed but it was immediately relieved by Valerie Rice who made the time to call my insurance company, not once, but twice to make sure the consult would be covered. She also made sure the ordered MRIs were covered. Going to the hospital can be overwhelming enough, throw in the potential or worrying about getting sent a large bill. Valerie Rice was a doll, and should be honored for her helpfulness and patient satisfaction. I am also very grateful for the fast turn around time and the time management and commitment by Dr. Sarris and RDU Dr. Patel that allowed me to be out of there in 11 hours, and didn t result in me needing to stay the night. I know everyone cannot be this lucky, but I am grateful that I was.

We entered the emergency room around 8:00 pm on a Friday night and was seen by the 1 physician on duty at 1:00 am. and left the hospital at 2:00 am. This is just disgusting the way they run this hospital. We understood that people were sick with the flu, but to make people wait that long is a crime. If my husband did not need antibiotic for an infection, we would have left. But this was a Friday and he needed it for the weekend. The staff is great and obviously frustrated as we were. They couldn't see the urgency in calling in more physicians? Now we know why this hospital gets such a poor rating from the state. We definitely will go elsewhere.

My Mom went to Community Medical Center for a stro...

My Mom went to Community Medical Center for a stroke she had where she met Wetstein. Wetstein came in for around 3 minutes to tell my mom that she needed a loop recorder. Wetstein ordered she should not eat the day of surgery. The next day Wetstein came in at 5pm for around 3 minutes to say she didn't need the surgery because the other doctor told him so. She has diabetes and went 14 hours total without eating. She had no insulin the day of surgery and her sugar ended up going too high.

We ended up getting a bill for $1,000 for which he claims he had to fill out paperwork and look over reports. We thought the bill wasn't appropriate and didn't have the money to pay it otherwise. He was out of network from Blue Cross Blue Shield and I have no idea why he was allowed to come in to visit my mom in the first place. He ends up suing us along with others the day of court and he won.

Other reviewers on other websites have similar experiences to ours. He pushes unneeded surgeries that he most likely knows you don't need trying to get money. Wetstein is unprofessional, doesn't have a care in the world, and is greedy, he will do anything to get more money. I can't believe he is still licensed and is a Dr, after everyone's experience with him. He's the type of guy that would see a homeless person drop $5 and take it. Stay far away from this guy, refuse his care and ask for someone else to treat you.

If you have been treated by Wetstein and have a similar experience with ours or other reviewers on other websites please file a complaint and report him for fraud. Let's bring an end to his malpractices, we need numerous reports to do so. I'm sure he can also be sued for the scams he is doing and wouldn't be able to practice medicine any longer if we all came together.

Update: Charged $14 interest on our $25 payments for his bill which was not agreed upon. Said after we paid him he would submit the bill to Medicare, hasn't done so. Ended up needing a surgery he said my mom didn't need. REPORT TO MEDICAL BOARD!

Two nurses are not knowledgeable in giving IV medications, flushed my IV cannula including the air in the syringe, then another nurse flushed it without even wiping the port with alcohol swab. In return I had phlebitis from the IV site after discharge. Heartsog RN lacks compassion to patients yelling at you to calm down when you are crying in severe pain a day after open surgery.

Worst place to work for especially housekeeping dept and patient transporter dept. Management dept in housekeeping dept NEEDS to be REPLACE ASAP they are racist and they have their favorable employees. If you complain about an employee and its their favorable employee they will get back at you and stab you in the back, they will try to make you quit and get revenge, that's housekeeping dept. Now lets talk about patient transporter they are worst, they will give you patient after patient and they won't let you go to the bathroom and they also have their favorable employees, they will give you a transport when your shift is almost done last minute transport all the time. Transporter dept is worst when they fired Ralph the Supervisor for no reason at all. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS PLACE go up north like Jersey Shore Medical Center or Monmouth Medical Center.

Sitting in ER now...this place is pretty much a disaster. Lots of staff walking around, it's dirty, unfriendly, disorganized and overall a mess. After waiting an unusual amount of hours, I'm sure I'll go in the back to find numerous empty beds as we've experienced before. What is everyone doing exactly???
Do yourself a favor and go to Ocean medical center in Brick instead.

Multiple times there myself, multiple family member there, my son born there unfortunately AND I did first aid that brought patients there multiple years and NEVER have I had a good experience there. You speak to anyone around here and they avoid it like the plague unless they have no choice bc of their Dr. I work in retail as well and I can t tell you the countless horror stories I ve heard from patients of them coming for their prescriptions. It s scary how they are even open still.

There isn't much I could say about this hospital besides that it really sucks! It is dirty, unfriendly & no one seems to know much about anything. Can never get information, find an informative nurse and forget about speaking to a doctor. Very disappointing.

Worst experience of my life. Waited in the waiting...

Worst experience of my life. Waited in the waiting room for hours. No one seemed to know what was going on. I didn't see one doctor the entire 14 hours I was there. They wanted to keep me overnight but I couldn't take it anymore and I was truly afraid for my well being there. I decided to sign myself out but first, I had to remove my own IV because no one came to do and honestly at that point I felt more comfortable doing it myself. DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!

Place is a joke. Was filthy when I visited with overflowing garbage cans, trash on the floors, filthy bathrooms that smelled strongly of urine, vomit left in a bathroom sink, and something that looked like dried blood on the rail to my hospital bed. I didn't see a single person cleaning the whole time I was there. I went in complaining of pelvic pain. They ran blood tests and I got an ultrasound. Everything looked normal in my tests so they just decided to send me home with no treatment. I was supposed to receive a list of OBGYN to follow up with, the paperwork only had one name and it is a male doctor who doesn't even take my insurance. The packet information also has printouts about a condition I cannot physically have because it only effects young girls who haven't menstruated yet. What a huge waste of time and money, they have no clue what they are doing at this place.

I wouldn't bring a dying animal to this rathole to be put to sleep. Every single thing that happens in this hospital takes 3 hours! In severe pain? SORRY! It takes 3 hours for the pot head doctor to remember to order it.

Completely understaffed in the ER section. Brought my mom in who was in utter pain like I have never seen her before and they left her in her bed screaming in pain for over 45 minutes before an IV was put in or being hooked up to the monitor to check vitals. Been there before for my finger before in the ER and it was about same thing. You're gonna be there for hours where other hospitals would have you out in 1 or less for the same thing. Sadly with all this being said the staff is nice when they do get to you. But I would never bring somebody here ever again that I wanted to get better fast when I can drive them 15 minutes further and go to the Brick hospital sponsored by Hackensack Hospital and actually has the funding to pay for more than 1 ER nurse at a time.

Worst ER ever! A joke and a waste of time. My nurse was pleasant but the PA on my case couldn t answer any of my questions and was a waste of space. I would rather save the extra time and drive up north where I can actually be treated. Mind you, I did half their job for them by already knowing my diagnosis yet they needed me to visit another hospital , because it was the middle of the night and there was no one to clear me or my tests ( even though everything was negative in their opinion )

01 January 2018. Took my wife to the ER. It took us more than 5 hours to get discharged. Two hours into her admission, the doctor in charge told us she will be discharged pending results of some tests. Most tests should have results in 1 hour. Docter visited several times. I went ahead and complained. Then things started goin

I had total knee replacement surgery. I had wonderful care. My nurse, Tracy, was incredibly kind and attentive. The PT nurse was also very helpful. Other than frustration that I couldn't get up and walk around by myself (which, yes, I understand!), I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Came in the ER 1:00 am 10/23. Staff was very good. Was pleased for the quality of care my wife received.
The only issue we came across was apparently there is a major shortage of pillows in the ER! Please look into this..

Because this hospital saved my life. Not once but ...

Because this hospital saved my life. Not once but twice I will give it 4 stars. Both times I was admitted through the ER. I was treated with respect by everyone except for one nurse. But let's face it. Every hospital has one nurse that should be in another field of work. Both times I needed emergency surgery. The second procedure was about a week after the first surgery because a few stones where still stuck in the bile ducts in my Liver. When I went home I developed a Hospital bacterial infection that almost killed me but I was treated by another doctor and got well. I know things like this happen all the time so I can't blame the hospital. There are bacteria that survive in alcohol . Soon I will be moving to the area for one reason. To be close to this hospital in the event I get sick again but
After reading all these bad reviews I am a little concerned. I really don't know what to do now. Where else can I go in Ocean County in the event of an emergency. My history with this hospital goes back over 10 years. Apparently things there have gotten much worse. There are many Adult Communities in the area. Where are the hospitals to treat these elderly people???

I went to ER after my 5 year old daughter stepped on a watch box that shattered and cut her foot in 4 spots, 1 needing stitches. I was lucky enough to get Nicole Kalinowski RN and Patrick Gutsick PCT. My daughter does have non verbal autism so she is unable to communicate. They were so patient and helpful. We were in the best of hands. I wish we always had such wonderful kind caring people like that helping in the Medical field. They took something so scary and changed it around and made us feel comfortable. Thank you to them!!!! I really appreciate it!

Came into the hospital to at Noon today. Spent until 430pm on a thin single mattress with no pillow. Let me paint the picture a little clearer. I'm 6ft 290lbs with a triple disk fusion. I'm 65% legally handicapped. They did their due diligence and testing and kept me for observations, fine. I get wheeled into room I am to stay in overnight in the same bed. They are plenty of larger beds in the hallway. When I asked for one the floor manager Mike tells my nurse those beds are only for the elderly. Sounds like handicapped discrimination?

My Aunt was brought into the hospital on April 30th and she has COPD and Emphesyma. She has not eaten in a month. The Pulmonary doctor said he as 99% sure she had cancer.. How do you determine this and not be seen by an oncologist? Then they shipped her to Whiting Rehab for her to die.

Nothing was done to discuss the tumor in her belly they just put her on IV. I hate this Hospital
My mother was in there for Bronchitis was told she had Leukemia and then was dead 3 days
later. The nurses left her in the room all day without eating which lead to her Stomach Bleeding she had chemo and radiation and was dead 3 days later.

This hospital needs to be shut down look at these low ratings and the nurses are so nasty. Nurse Jessica in the Cancer ward is one name I can give you..

If I could give this place no stars I would, lets ...

If I could give this place no stars I would, lets start with my perfectly healthy grandmother (62yrs) went to get gastric bypass surgery, she came out of the surgery fine on thursday, friday I spoke to her and she was her complete normal self, on saturday she went back to the hospital in unbareable pain no doctor saw her for over 12 hours, on sunday she went code blue when they were moving her from the bed to the gurney, after they revived her and took her into emergency surgery the neighbor patient told us that the nurses dropped her on the floor in the transporting process, during the emergency surgery they came to find that one of her staples was not stapled properly causing her to lose 2liters of blood into her intestines, she came out of surgery doctors said she was going to make a full recovery leading us to false hope, then things turned even more for the worse they left her with 4% brain activity. as of monday night at 9:17 we gained another angel all because of negligence practice. I've heard horror stories from this hospital, please no one get a surgery done here my family would not want this to happen to another family. We are devastated.
